According to CBS News:
Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Illinois, refuted President Trump’s tweeted denials that he used the phrase “sh*thole countries” when discussing legal protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries. Durbin, who was in the meeting with the president when he made the remarks, said of Mr. Trump’s denial, “It’s not true. He said those hateful things, and he said them repeatedly.”
Durbin attended an event in Chicago Friday and then held a press conference on the president’s comments afterward. He told reporters how the issue came up:
When the question was raised about Haitians, for example, we have a group that have temporary protected status in the United States because they were the victims of crises and disasters and political upheaval. The largest group is El Salvadoran. The second is Honduran and the third is Haitian, and when I mentioned that fact to him, he said ‘Haitians? Do we need more Haitians?’ And then he went on and started to describe the immigration from Africa that was being protected in this bipartisan measure. That’s where he used these vile and vulgar comments, calling the nations they come from “sh*tholes” — the exact word used by the president not just once, but repeatedly.

That was a curse. We need to melt the statue for the value of it’s copper, and toss the inscription into the Marianas Trench.

How unhappy would the civic nationalists be if they found out that the Statue of Liberty was never intended for New York….or even the USA? The statue was originally intended for Egypt…the port of Alexandria. But in the usual confusion, the Egyptians did not like the statue and decided they were not going to pay for something they did not like. So the French decided to unload the statue on the Americans….but it was not complete and it did not have it’s own base structure. It was somewhat incomplete.
So the US backers convinced everyone it was a decorative lighthouse, which would be handy in the New York Harbor. (It later turned out that it was a really crummy lighthouse and the torch was not bright enough to be seen from a distance.) Still, the base would require a bit of money and nobody wanted to pay for it….least of all, the city and state of New York (or the US government). So they had a poetry contest to raise money to pay for the base of the statue and if a poem won the contest, it would be added to the base of the statue. THAT WAS IT. It was not a public policy, it was a poem selected as the winner of a contest, to raise money for the base of the statue, that the Egyptians did not like and nobody else wanted to buy.
Melt it all down, except for the torch, which will be installed in the parking lot at Wooly’s Torch and Pitchfork Emporium, as part of the sign.

I’ve never said that and I don’t care if he said it, but it sounds like a perfect description of countries under discussion.
Obviously the left doesn’t care about the condition of the countries or the impact of excessive #s of their useless populations coming here – but it must be discussed with nice words.
Reminds me of SD’s visual of the rapt and brainless woman gazing off into the evening and exclaiming with delight, “Fireworks!!”
Of course these are the same dumb bunnies who were all atwitter over standing together last week with all sexes in black dresses to oppose sexual imposition upon one another, even as they have made their hundreds of millions filming human beings being degraded and imposing sexually on one another, up to and including snuff films.
In their world, it doesn’t matter what is actually so. They just don’t want it plainly referenced.

If Trump actually said this, and I was there, I would have been the first to begin a standing ovation at those words, and hopefully many in the room would have stood and clapped with me.

Easy mistake, since Norway’s government, such as it is, is also, for some reason, turning itself into part of the S***hole Caliphate, and flipping off it’s own citizens with both hands, while they all lie about the killing, raping, stealing, and destroying.

Never ever happened. If President Trump said that Haiti was a shit hole or African countries were shit holes more than once there would have been several people recording after he said it the first time. Simple reason tells us this is what would have happened.
My best guess as to what happened is classic Trump hoodwinking, he likely said some stuff about Haiti and countries in African, some pretty ugly (yet accurate stuff) , “Rosie O’Donnell is a fat slob, Luntz is a stupid fat cow, Mika’s facelift was bleeding, Sloppy Steve, Rocket man, Joe Scarborough is dumb and boring….”. that is the way our boss rolls.
So President Trump said some tough stuff about Haiti and African countries. Tough luck, who cares? The liberal elites pretend to care to score political points, the minions care because they think they are being compassionate and fighting Nazis.
But who is the biggest loser in this battle? Hillary Clinton who stole money from the Haitians, the DNC that allowed Hillary to rob the poor to enrich her already opulent lifestyle.

Sorry I don’t have the link for it, but I read part of a UN report this morning indicating that 60% of the world does not have (and most of them don’t care to make it a goal) workable toilets. The UN calls the problem “open defecation”.
So if Mr. President had just said “those open defecation countries” maybe that would have passed the smell test for the tender sensibilities of those having a fit.

There is a great deal to be said for western Civilization and specifically the creativity, spunk, and problem-solving aspects of Americans. I’m way past caring what those who are willing to live in filth think about us and our President.
I’ve mentioned the title before but am going to mention it again in this context:
The Fate of Africa – by Martin Meredith, published in 2005, details “nation” by “nation” what the Africans did with their new found independence when the dread colonialists were driven out in the 1970s and thereabouts.
Mr. Meredith provides cultural, economic, and political hard facts regarding their choices to devolve, destroy, and regress to Shithole Nation status.
Oh – and our ambassador in the Netherlands was just forced (and agreed to…..) apologize for stating a fact, that there are “no go” areas in the Netherlands because of islamist demands.

It is what it is and I don’t see any good reason why Mr. President shouldn’t be allowed to use accurate language. If Joe Biden can fondle young girls in front of the camera, Bill Clinton can get a blow job in the Oval Office, and Joe Biden can use the F-work in the context of public ceremonies – then there is no good reason why Donald Trump can’t call a shithole a shithole. [The word used openly here for impact.] If they do open defecation in their countries, then that is, indeed, what the entire country IS, by definition.

Please forgive second post but I just remembered something. I have made several business trips to Australia and New Zealand. Those two countries are inundated with tourists and immigrants from Asia. Public ladies restroom stalls in both countries have signs in them telling these Asians not to stand on the toilet seat and squat to do their business. That indicates that, even though people in Asia don’t openly defecate, apparently a lot them don’t have or know how to use a toilet.

That has also become a problem in London shopping malls where some business owners have yielded to a crappy solution by putting what amounts to a hole in the floor for that portion of their clientele who has no idea how to use a toilet or don’t want to.

No one is really shocked, of course. This is simply a form of bullying. The Left has co-opted our good manners and our good will in order to silence our opposition to their bad policies. The idea is to make it seem impolite and immoral to mention the obvious.
The bullying is highly effective and very dangerous. In England, in the city of Rotherham, at least 1,400 non-Muslim girls, some as young as 11, were brutally raped by Muslim immigrants over a period of years in the 2000s. Police and other officials worked to keep the facts hidden because, according to multiple reports, they were afraid of being called racist. Think about that: police officers did not want to seem racist, so they stood by and let their city’s children be raped. The same thing goes on in other cities in England and throughout Europe. And in fact, some who have spoken out have had their careers curtailed by manufactured scandal. The message is clear: it’s just not nice to tell the truth. It’s just not done. Don’t do it…

A great quote I read once a long time ago said, “if you want to make a Conservative angry, lie to them. If you want to make a liberal angry, tell them the truth.”
The thing liberals seem to forget is that denying the truth doesn’t make it go away. You can deny that the sky is blue until the world ends, but it’s not going to change the fact that the sky IS blue. The difference is that saying the sky is bright orange doesn’t really any affect anyone other than oneself. Denying other facts, like how the lack of concern for hygiene in some countries means that immigrants from those countries arrive here with diseases that America eradicated decades ago, or that lots of (not all, but lots of) Muslim men really do think that non-Muslim woman are fair game for rape, have consequences, and usually others have to pay for that denial. The person engaging the denial doesn’t always have to, which just strengthens their denial.
You can’t discuss facts with liberals. They recoil, like Dracula being shown a crucifix. It’d be funny, if they were only one who were going to have to pay for their foolishness.
I don’t care whether President Trump called those countries sh!tholes or not. Sometimes statements like that are the stinging rebuke to the hearers that they need to be.
