Actually if it ain’t the cat it’s my 80-pound lapdog flipping around and slamming a nose, paw, whatever onto the multiple ‘DON’T TOUCH THAT’ points on my Chromebook. I’m watching my credit card receipts just in case they master the Chromebook and start ordering from Amazon and Petco.

Another MN memory – we had a humidifier running all winter to deal with that. Otherwise, the repeated shocks and general touchiness of everything was just too much to deal with. So, a humidifier and a supply of Static Guard on hand at all times.

“Frigid temperatures in combination winds sustained above hurricane force will allow wind chill values to fall as low as 100 degrees below zero which will cause frostbite on exposed skin in less than one minute,” wrote Mount Washington Observatory staff meteorologist Caleb Meute in his Friday forecast.

This bio would be way too long because it includes his activism in socialism, and the interesting reaction in the US vs England. Please go to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Crane for more info. It seems I either spend an hour cutting down a huge bio, or am left searching for more than 3 lines on some artists! Neptune’s Horses & detail by Walter Crane:
Walter Crane 1845 –1915 was an English artist and book illustrator. He is considered to be the most influential, and among the most prolific, children’s book creators of his generation. Crane’s work featured some of the more colourful and detailed beginnings of the child-in-the-garden motifs that would characterize many nursery rhymes and children’s stories for decades to come. He was part of the Arts and Crafts movement and produced an array of paintings, illustrations, children’s books, ceramic tiles and other decorative arts. Crane is also remembered for his creation of a number of iconic images associated with the international Socialist movement.

I like reading FOIA documents. It’s amazing how freakin’ disreputable, dysfunctional and dumb our elected officials are. This morning I used search terms “Harvey Weinstein” and guess what? He and Hillary are ‘buds’.
In one email to Capricia Marshall in 2010 (which REally gives me the creeps knowing what I know today) he says: “I have such fond memories of you guys watching SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE” and signs the letter “Your Bad Friend, Harvey”
It would be difficult to refute at least a ‘friendly’ relationship between HRC and Weinstein, especially since I found an email from HrC to a minion in 2011 that says “Pls add Harvey Weinstein”.
The entire mess is a steaming pile.

They have a deep abiding relationship, so deep and intertwined that Hillary who can and does lie about everything admitted freely that she and Harvey are friends. Hillary then went on to lie about the “tiny” donations Harvey has made to her campaign 🙄.

As you said, Hillary lies about everything and I think the ‘tiny’ donations he made probably are tiny compared to the amount of money he compelled to be separated from OPWs (other peoples’ wallets).

Morning Stella, all of you Stellar types,
Now THAT’S a hot tub! Interestingly named after one of Saddam’s sons?
Had a wonderful dream last night. Don’t remember detail, but in it ended up meeting Sundance, in a small office with just a couple of assistants/proteges.
At the end he was finally putting on his hat (fedora) and leaving, as if his final battle had been completed, passing off of the reins. Remember looking at this older style (30/40’s) phone on the wall, but with new technology incorporated and thinking that this is where it all happened. This communication device was the tool/weapon that made all of it happened.
Had a look of satisfaction and of peace, but also that of a wearied warrior. Good one, wish I could remember more.

Also check out the reporting about what Oprah, a billionaire, did to her father’s wife when her father decided he wanted a divorce. It was very petty, unnecessary, and nasty, especially for a billionaire.

And just like that President Trump dashes any speculation that Oprah will be foolish enough to throw her weight watchers cap into the ring.
Later on Tuesday, President Donald Trump was asked what he thought of the prospect of a Winfrey presidential bid.
“I’ll beat Oprah. Oprah would be a lot of fun. I know her very well,” he told reporters on Tuesday. He noted that he and his family were on one of the final episodes of her syndicated talk show.
“I like Oprah. I don’t think she’s going to run,” Trump added. He again said he knows Winfrey “very well,” before repeating that he didn’t think she would run.

Yes Oprah definitely has the sheeple who will follow her to the ends of the earth. I’d bet a dollar to a rat tail that President Trump has the goods on her.
Not to mention that Oprah can’t hide from the fact that she enabled Weinstein. British actress Kadian Noble said that it was Oprah who made her feel like she should be on Weinstein’s good side.
Oprah has always put money and her image above anything else there is no way she wants to be dragged through the mud and exposed by Trump.
If Oprah ran before Trump she very likely would have won, now that Trump has weaponized Twitter and he has so many people working on his behalf at exposing the elite swap king and queens Oprah would be foolish to throw her label of “Fairy Godmother to the world” away.
I’d like to see her school investigated.
One thing Oprah has going for her is she can read people very well as opposed to the stone cold dead souled Hillary, Oprah cares about her image, IMO she ain’t about to let Trump reveal to her adoring fans what a horrible person she really is.

Death of Peter Sutherland, Mass Migration Advocate Dubbed ‘Father of Globalisation’
Sutherland, 71, was a key player on a host of globalist bodies and multinational corporations, including the European Commission, the World Trade Organization (WTO), and Goldman Sachs International, throughout his life.
As the United Nations Special Representative for Migration and non-executive chairman of Goldman Sachs International in 2012, he infamously remarked that the European Union should “be doing its best to undermine” the sense of national “homogeneity” in Britain and Europe, in order to pave the way for multicultural societies. “The United States, or Australia and New Zealand, are migrant societies and therefore they accommodate more readily those from other backgrounds than we do ourselves, who still nurse a sense of our homogeneity and difference from others,” he told the House of Lords. “And that’s precisely what the European Union, in my view, should be doing its best to undermine.” The Ireland-born globalist argued that the supposed threat of an ageing population was the “key argument … for the development of multicultural states”, and that the EU should push mass migration “however difficult it may be to explain this to the citizens”. Sutherland had previously served on the bloc’s unelected executive as European Commissioner for Competition from 1985 to 1989.
Sutherland is a celebrated figure among neoliberals and hardline free traders for his work presiding over the Uruguay Round negotiations of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), the predecessor to the WTO. This saw tariffs on agriculture, textiles, services, and so on reduced, and new rules on international arbitration and intellectual property introduced.
Corporates and idealistic free marketeers were overjoyed, with figures like the pioneering Brexit campaigner Sir James Goldsmith serving as lonely voices for economic nationalism.
The GATT did increase economic activity worldwide, and the European Commission took the unusual step of personally rebuking Sir James, asserting that “all economic activity is productive” — regardless of the harm caused by the mass outsourcing of industry and manufacturing to sweatshop economies. The entrepreneur disagreed, complaining that the “politicians and technocrats who govern us … concentrate their political, economic and social programmes on initiatives whose principal purpose is to make GNP grow quantitatively, without regard to its impact on society”/
Sir James further observed that globalists like Sutherland seemed unable “to distinguish between a nation and a commercial enterprise”.

It surprises me that people in so many allegedly ‘democratic’ and ‘freedom loving’ nations allow themselves to be herded into the scheme to impose one-world global slavery. Do they believe that governance by klepto-experts will take care of the daily ash and trash issues while they enjoy their bread and circuses? Do they believe that surrendering their freedoms will somehow allow those broken 3rd world nations they see on Nat Geo programs to magically become whole and functional? Or have they become so stupid and lazy they prefer to trade self for comfort?

Wild turkeys terrorizing mailmen.
George Washington et al. must be rolling in their graves.
It’s willful neglect of a perfectly good turkey dinner. A light sword, certainly legal to carry under the original intent of the 2nd Amendment, could easily dispatch such threats.

Yeah, but then you’d have people bellyaching and boo-hooing over the fate of the Turkey.
When I was in Michigan this last summer there was a news story about a father whose young child was being chased by a Canadian Goose, evil vile animal, while father and son were getting in some t-ball practice in a vacant grassy lot. The father grabbed his son’s wiffle bat and beat the goose with it. He got ticketed for it, and I think there was going to be a legal hearing also, and the vile bird was rushed to a vet to have it’s injuries treated. (Why the man didn’t just kill the dumb thing is beyond me.)

I sure can’t explain it. Our little country town of 24,000 (15 miles from us) was over run by them Spring to fall – in certain areas of town over-running the streets and people’s yards. Goose poop EVERYWHERE and no one allowed to do anything more than wait for them to decide to move on.
If someone accidentally ran over one and killed or injured it on any of the public roads, we KNEW that you had better call in and self-report, and wait for the authorities to show up. There was no wiggle room.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’d wager that in most states all wild creatures are property of the state. Unless it is hunting season for which a hunting license is required (often on a lottery basis), killing an animal is against the law with the exception that your life is provably in danger in such a manner that you cannot move away from the confrontation (such as, like, you know, get in your car and drive away). And, frankly, that’s how it should be, IMO.
Killing or injuring an animal if they make a lot of noise and are annoying is quite unnecessary. And I understand “annoying” since I’ve lived where coyotes and wolves did their vocalizing thing at night so that windows could never be left open or sleep would be impossible.
If wild animals are destroying crops or predators are coming onto your property and killing your stock, the state may be contacted to deal with the matter or perhaps give you permission to do so. Purchasing trained livestock guard dogs, however, solves lots of problems. I’ve read in the past that they are not used extensively in the U.S., which is ridiculous as they’ve been used since forever most everywhere else.
Numerous men in my family are hunters, and I have no problem with their hunting for food. I don’t see the point in hunting for sport; but if someone else wants to do it, it’s none of my business and long as the hunters obey the law.

I don’t have an issue with wild animals making noise, heaven knows the coyotes are known to whoop and holler and carry on like no one’s business around where I live, and I’m okay with that. But I am not okay with turkeys chasing people, or geese chasing people, or any wild animal that decides to challenge a human being. I watched a video of a goose flying into someone’s boat to nip at their dog and getting thrown off the boat more then once, but it kept coming back onto the vessel. I’ve never wrung a bird’s neck before, but if that had been my boat, after it came back in the second time, I would have given it the old college try.
I am not okay with stupid animals that think they belong on top of the food chain. If animals want to be stupid and challenge humans (without some extenuating circumstance like protecting their young), then those animals can get removed from the gene pool, permanently.

“Donald Trump Calls for DACA Amnesty ‘Bill of Love’ and Wall Funding: ‘You Need the Wall’
by Charlie Spiering TUESDAY 9 Jan 2018
President Donald Trump called for a DACA amnesty “Bill of Love” during a meeting Tuesday with congressional Republicans and Democrats at the White House.
“This should be a bill of love, truly. It should be a bill of love, and we can do that,” Trump said.
Trump spoke at length to the bipartisan meeting, urging them forward on offering legalization for DACA recipients but also ending chain migration and visa lottery systems, as well as demanding border security.
Trump said that if Congress could come together on a DACA deal, he would be happy to sign it — even if he had compromises that he didn’t like.
“I am very much reliant on the people in this room,” Trump said. “I have great confidence … if they come to me with things I’m not in love with, I’m going to do it, because I respect them.”
Hoyer said that Republicans were to blame for failing to bring the Senate “Gang of Eight” immigration reform bill into a vote in the house.
Trump said he was eager to pass comprehensive immigration reform, but that it should be done in “steps.” DACA, he said, was the first step.”
This is what I was afraid of.

IF he gets the wall, end of chain migration and the visa lottery system, I think DACA is a price that he will have to pay. The thing is, the Dems aren’t even willing to support the wall. If the Dems turn down a deal that would deliver DACA, I think they will be the bad guys. Let’s see what happens. The DACA people are already here. If they shut down a path to citizenship, it might not be so bad.
ADD: I’ve seen a couple of estimates of how many DACA people there are. One is 690,000. Another is 800,000.

” If the Dems turn down a deal that would deliver DACA, I think they will be the bad guys” – That would be great, but what if they don’t. They admitted they wanted DACA (see last night’s? Tucker Carlson) The Dems are desperate for DACA, and will promise anything, that they will not get citizenship, but eventually they will get it. They care a lot less about the wall.

What Reagan did with immigration was MUCH worse than this.
If immigration reform hangs on again, what will happen is that the next Dem President will get open borders. Better to get most of what you want than nothing.

My comment about Reagan was that he regretted what he did, and wild guess is that he would be upset at the continued problems.
Questions:
– Why isn’t immigration part of National Security under the President?
-DACA is illegal so why are we agreeing to breaking the law? What would happen if they did the same thing only about not paying taxes? (LMAO the gov’t would do it, but make believe it was possible). Would they agree to small gov’t members of congress not letting certain people pay taxes?
-Didn’t Obama’s admin sue Arizona about immigration? He didn’t need congress.
– I want to read up on if the case about anchor babies being legal goes to the supreme Court, and how DACA’s and their children relates to that.
Even if the Dems and Rino’s promise on a stack of Bibles DACA’s won’t be citizens, they will NEVER stop until they are citizens and can vote – that’s why Dems want DACA so bad.

DACA would not be illegal if Congress changes the law. DACA is illegal because it was an order by Executive Branch after the Legislative Branch turned it down.
I’m still waiting to hear your solution.

I need to find out more about citizenship as said above.
We just have different priorities, but the same goal. I think DACA’s leaving, and doing what is necessary to say DACA is illegal, is more important than a physical – what is now a wall in some places and a fence in other places.
I also do not sincerely understand why border security isn’t part of National Security and under Executive Branch. I have to find out about this.
Some people have even suggested citizens paying for, and building the wall/fence in places. I do know the exact % is on private land.
As said below – not arguing. Your posts are helpful. I have been worried about DACA’s, and sort of hoping it would work out, but there are so many options to consider, I have held off hitting the panic button until this.

Steve King Warns Trump: DACA Illegal Aliens Cannot Be Legalized ‘Without Sacrificing the Rule of Law’
Congress and President Trump cannot legalize DACAs without sacrificing the Rule of Law and broadcasting a call to come to America to be here for the next amnesty. No matter the “deal” THE RULE OF LAW WOULD FALL!
Likewise, in November 2017 when Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and establishment Republicans and Democrats endorsed a plan to give amnesty to DACA illegal aliens, border-crossings ticked back up to Obama-era levels, as Breitbart News reported.
Aside from a potential border surge due to a DACA amnesty, the plan would additionally be a drain on American taxpayers, with the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reporting that at least 1 in 7 DACA illegal aliens would end up on Medicaid and 1 in 5 would end up on food stamps after being given legal status or a pathway to citizenship.
The cost of DACA amnesty would be placed on top of the costs that Americans already pay every year due to illegal immigration into the U.S. As Breitbart News reported, the most recent Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) report reveals that an illegal alien costs each American taxpayer approximately $8,075, TOTALING A BURDEN OF ROUGHLY $116 BILLION ANNUALLY.

Congress can change the law. What Obama did was against the rule of law.
If you can figure out how to get DACA defeated – yet get the wall, end chain migration, AND end the visa lottery system, I would be happy about that. I just don’t think it can happen. Otherwise, we will continue on the way we are now. No wall, more illegals. and even more legal aliens coming in on the coattails of their third cousins.

I agree, Stella. Accepting “dreamers” is likely a price he/we will have to pay. I can swallow that IF the dreamers accepted have committed no crimes, joined no gangs, get no expedited path to citizenship, we get the wall, and there is an end to chain migration, visa lottery, AND anchor babies. Big if. But if anyone can, it’s The Lion. God bless ‘im.
You’re right, Reagan did a lot worse.

Personally I think President Trump is meticulously painting the democrats into a corner. He is using emotional language “A Bill of Love” 🙄 when he knows very well that it is no such thing. Candidate Trump continuously talked about our own citizen’s dreams being his priority, not illegals who have brought so much horror and pain to US citizens.
So now POTUS is saying “I’ll give ya’ DACA if you give me the Wall and stop the most grievous abuses of immigration abuses”. President Trump knows that it is political suicide for the crazy democrats to be tied to him in anyway especially his immigration policies so he knows that he has placed a safe bet. He can have his cake and at it too.
IMO President Trump has effectively for political purposes offered congress the chance to make DACA legal and can now blame the Left for sending folks back over the border, he will get his wall, end the lottery system and he’ll get the chain migration stopped. There is no way he will be able to deport all of the DACA folks but no way will he not deport as many as possible, especially any who have a criminal record.
I am wondering how many people are bellyaching about how President Trump doesn’t understand about the DACA folks tipping the electoral scale permanently in the Liberal Democrats favor.
My rule of thumb is if I know it, President Trump knows it and then some.

I don’t want DACA lawbreakers left here. I don’t care that they were children who came here when their parents broke the law, and I sure don’t trust Democrats to do anything for building a wall. I don’t love DACA lawbreakers and I don’t want them in my country.

Steve Bannon forced out at Breitbart News
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5252019/Steve-Bannon-forced-job-Breitbart-News.html
Steve Bannon, the former Donald Trump campaign CEO who spent six months working in the White House and returned to his old life at the helm of Breitbart News in August, is stepping down from his position as the conservative website’s executive chairman.
The New York Times reported Tuesday on the departure of the outspoken ideologue whom Trump re-branded as ‘Sloppy Steve’ following the publication of a loosely reported tell-all book last week.
A source close to Bannon confirmed that his departure was the product of a revolt on the publication’s board of directors, led by longtime financier and donor Rebekah Mercer.

26 years later, a president hears rural America
On January 13, 1992, President George H. W. Bush spoke at the American Farm Bureau Federation’s annual convention in Kansas City, Missouri. Fresh off a 12-day trip to Asia, he talked about trade, security, and prosperity for rural America in the new global economy.
For more than a quarter-century, no American president returned to speak at the convention, which is a staple of the U.S. agriculture industry. Yesterday, President Donald J. Trump broke that trend.
Here is what he told the convention:
• “We have been working every day to deliver for America’s farmers just as they work every day to deliver for us.”
• Tax reform means that “American farmers will be able to deduct 100% of the cost of new equipment in the year you make the investment.”
• “We are reviewing all of our trade agreements to make sure they are fair and reciprocal.”
The President signed two orders moments after he spoke, both of which act on the recommendation of his Agriculture and Rural Prosperity Task Force to expand access to broadband internet in rural America.

The power of conservative voices
“I think from the conservative perspective, we accomplished more thanks to President Trump’s leadership than has been accomplished in more than a generation,” Vice President Mike Pence told Dana Loesch in an interview yesterday.
The Vice President covered a lot of ground with the conservative radio and television host. The two discussed the economy, infrastructure, North Korea, and what to expect from Republicans in 2018. Loesch also asked Vice President Pence about the state of political commentary during the Trump Administration.
“The reality is that great, strong . . . [conservative voices] have, while outnumbered, served to create a tremendous counterweight,” the Vice President said.

Tax reform: Where are we going?
Council of Economic Advisers Chairman Kevin Hassett shares a simple message on tax reform: Wage growth in America has been much too slow for too long, but business tax reform offers a glimmer of hope.
Here is Dr. Hassett’s breakdown:
• “Wage growth has been stagnant for much of the past two decades.”
• “With the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act now enacted, America’s corporate tax position stands to encourage rather than discourage investment and therefore wage growth.”
• What’s next? “The corporate income tax base stands to increase, allowing America’s tax rate to fall while revenues remain unchanged.”
