          Hi S&S! How’s things this morning? I got troubles with a T not troubles with a C that’s Troubles.

The oven went out last night! ACK! The elves are in a swivet, people from coast to coast are worried about Christmas bread and I’m just thankful for youtube and online parts stores….. I should be able to fix it without too much trouble for under $50! May have to write a poem about how Bousha Saved the Christmas Cookies.

Last night the only sound coming from my Blu-ray DVD player was clack..clack…clack. I have been so looking forward to watching the Christmas movies that I have. I know it would cost more than $30 to get it even looked at, so I ordered one from Amazon instead of fooling with it. It was only $30 and has features my old one doesn’t have. 🙄

Yah. Well, I took the oven apart and using a variety of skills (youtube and phone conversations with the local fix-it guy and my brother) along with a plethora of tools, determined that it was the motherboard for the electric circuit to the oven. Which they don’t make any more, so “don’t even think about finding one”.

Short story long, the new stove will be delivered/installed on THURsDay which puts a severe crimp in my Christmas gift bread baking. *sigh*

Turns out that Christmas bread will be New Year’s bread this year. I’m hoping for an outcome like the sick-for-Thanksgiving story which turned out to be one of the best ever!

2 years ago the top oven went out, not fixed in time for Christmas, but at least we had a bottom oven. Worst was the year before, when the microwave died. There were none to buy, & orders were backed up for Sears & Wally World, so we didn’t get a replacement till almost New Years’. You know, I recall being able to cook & serve entire dinners from a stove top & a tiny 1950’s oven when we were growing up, but now it seems impossible to make dinner without a microwave!

Obama allowed Hezbollah cocaine running into U.S. in quest for Iran nuke deal

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2017/12/obama-allowed-hezbollah-cocaine-running-into-u-s-in-quest-for-iran-nuke-deal/

Professor Jacobson’s short version of the Politico investigation. Read the entire story at Politico:

How many Americans got hooked, overdosed, or died on Hezbollah cocaine so Obama could get his Iran nuke deal?

And it all was to appease and please the Iranians:

“During the negotiations, early on, they [the Iranians] said listen, we need you to lay off Hezbollah, to tamp down the pressure on them, and the Obama administration acquiesced to that request,” the former CIA officer told POLITICO. “It was a strategic decision to show good faith toward the Iranians in terms of reaching an agreement.”

The Obama team “really, really, really wanted the deal,” the former officer said.

We knew Obama and others were willing to sacrifice Israelis to obtain the Iran nuclear deal. Now we know they were willing to sacrifice Americans.

    https://www.politico.com/interactives/2017/obama-hezbollah-drug-trafficking-investigation/

In its determination to secure a nuclear deal with Iran, the Obama administration derailed an ambitious law enforcement campaign targeting drug trafficking by the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah, even as it was funneling cocaine into the United States, according to a POLITICO investigation.

The campaign, dubbed Project Cassandra, was launched in 2008 after the Drug Enforcement Administration amassed evidence that Hezbollah had transformed itself from a Middle East-focused military and political organization into an international crime syndicate that some investigators believed was collecting $1 billion a year from drug and weapons trafficking, money laundering and other criminal activities.

Over the next eight years, agents working out of a top-secret DEA facility in Chantilly, Virginia, used wiretaps, undercover operations and informants to map Hezbollah’s illicit networks, with the help of 30 U.S. and foreign security agencies…

But as Project Cassandra reached higher into the hierarchy of the conspiracy, Obama administration officials threw an increasingly insurmountable series of roadblocks in its way, according to interviews with dozens of participants who in many cases spoke for the first time about events shrouded in secrecy, and a review of government documents and court records. When Project Cassandra leaders sought approval for some significant investigations, prosecutions, arrests and financial sanctions, officials at the Justice and Treasury departments delayed, hindered or rejected their requests.

The Justice Department declined requests by Project Cassandra and other authorities to file criminal charges against major players such as Hezbollah’s high-profile envoy to Iran, a Lebanese bank that allegedly laundered billions in alleged drug profits, and a central player in a U.S.-based cell of the Iranian paramilitary Quds force. And the State Department rejected requests to lure high-value targets to countries where they could be arrested…

  7. I heard from the staffing agency today. The company I worked for is claiming that I asked too many questions, and one claim they made in particular irks me because they told me to send something to a particular location, but not who in that location should receive it, leading me to have to ask more then one person how to deal with it.

The one thing I will say about the company I worked for is that they about drove me nuts when they acted like I should know exactly what to do in a particular situation that I had never encountered before.

I’m feeling pretty down again this morning, though I’m trying to hold on to what Menagerie said on Saturday.

Yep. It is their fault, IMO. I don’t know if you saw what I posted before, but one of the Montessori preschools I substituted in gave me no instructions. They expected me to know their schedule and the children’s names and criticized me for not knowing. One of the others gave me instructions and I quickly became their regular substitute and we all got along great. I worked there for 2 years until we had to move out of state.

It sounds like the place is very disorganized and instead of giving you clear instructions so that you didn’t have to ask a bunch questions they just threw jobs on your desk with the expectation of you having spontaneous knowledge of the company. That is an impossible situation. Been there done that.

Prayers for something better to come along quickly.

      • They did some training for me, lovely, but not much, and then things happened and they couldn’t train me anymore and I just had to ask questions when and as things came up.

So, I guess that is disorganized. You’re right.

        • Lucille says:

While it is disappointing and hurtful, that job was a learning experience. What next time can you do better?

Working with people who don’t have a helpful attitude means you have to find a way to encourage their positivity. It might be something as small as asking to assist others in a simple task that requires little training or explanation, taking that burden off them for the day. That way you indicate to co-workers that you are willing to do your share and more even if it means you work past hours.

An additional helpful thing that can be done is to make up an instruction guide to assist other newcomers who are given similar tasks. Perhaps you might ask co-workers to add to the guide.

Stepping forward to do a job without being asked often makes for better working conditions because co-workers and bosses see your willingness to go the extra mile. It doesn’t matter if they reciprocate. What matters is they see you as wanting to be a part of the team.

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
