    Light to medium fog and an over half-full moon. When we go outside the moon’s the only light and there’s a glow everywhere you look.

    Morning Stella and all you Stellar types,
    Love the early morning pic, beautiful and serene. Sunrises and music, much needed to bring some peace in this crazy world.
    Wow. First ‘Peach blew my mind with the white is black/black is white color thing yesterday, then the verdict from SF. Up is down and down up.
    Headed south again later today, and my youngest daughter is actually going up to SF tomorrow with my SIL, niece and another mom/daughter for some Christmas in the City. Union Square, ice skating and hot chocolate. Good times, in a dark city.
    I love this state, I actually love SF. The views are stunningly beautiful, and I travel around it in a visual feast. And I am happy she is going. Yet, I’d like to take a flamethrower to it all this morning. That is my state.
    Rainbows came up in a couple of comments yesterday, and this song popped up first on my iPod this morning:

    Like this version, somehow more melancholy, which is my state as well. There is hope, there is a rainbow ahead. This life is a gift, as is this world we live in. And those who we share it with. Trying to remember this.
    This song came up next, which seems appropriate as well:

    Sang this song in 8th grade choir years ago. “Sounds of Silence” ringing in my ears.
    This crap has been going on forever, and the Left, who once fought against big government and the evils of corporations, “the Man” and all, now seem to be their biggest proponents. Even they are twisted upside down.

    What you hear now is the slurping sound at the bottom of a dry hole when a prosecutor can’t find anything worth charging and the defendants have been cooperative i.e. stupid. The ‘Don’t Talk to the Police’ rule just keeps getting more applicable here.” Sadly, yes it does. As for the rest, well, we’ll see, but this isn’t an auspicious start.

      Not to mention the burning desire to burn Trump undoubtedly led to the squeezing the hell out of him. Let’s not forget the FBI’s (and by extension the DoJ) long history of creating cases where none existed whenever the need arose. The phony, created, evidence, the phony ‘experts’ – abandon all hope ye who is investigated here.

        and let’s not forget that it’s perfectly legal for LEA and prosecutors at all levels to ‘threaten’ the families and friends of targets to get compliance with the LEA’s and prosecutor’s agendas.

          You only have to read the awful story about what they did to Monica Lewinsky and her mother to know prosecutors will stop at almost nothing. That Monica had evidence on a vile man doesn’t justify doing what those prosecutors did (detainment against their will in a hotel room, terrifying them via threats, intimidation, fear of bodily harm).

          When a prosecutor does what any other person would be charged/convicted/imprisoned for just isn’t moral.

            I watched a man, many years ago, the LEA had a dislike for be driven into court, lose his wife, family and job over a disagreement with an officer. He started receiving tickets – seemed there was always an officer around when a minor error occurred. Tickets piled up, payment got more and more expensive, he got angry and didn’t pay/appear so out went a bench warrant that resulted in jail time and more fines – judges love to make examples.
            Prosecutors have absolute immunity. That’s why prosecutors who’ve been guilty of misconduct for things like hiding exculpatory evidence are allowed to walk on criminal and civil charges.

    …The Obama Justice Department sided with the SEC in the dispute, but Trump’s new solicitor general, Noel Francisco, changed positions Wednesday, and backed the money managers.

    “Upon further consideration, and in light of the implications for the exercise of executive power under Article II, the government is now of the view that such ALJs are officers because they exercise ‘significant authority pursuant to the laws of the United States,’” Francisco wrote in a new brief at the Supreme Court.

    A Supreme Court ruling against the SEC could have important implications for similarly-situated officials in other agencies. ALJs often preside in actions brought by a whole host of federal agencies. A finding against the SEC would potentially jeopardize, and perhaps invalidate, the legal status of thousands of other agency proceedings.

    The Justice Department generally represents federal agencies before the high court. Accordingly, the solicitor general asked the justices to appoint another lawyer to represent the SEC as the litigation continues.

    The high court could decide to take the case as soon as January.

    Well, I am so pleased. There is a guy on the roof cleaning out the gutters. I called……..about May…… and asked them to do it because when it poured rain, the rain, instead of going to the downspout, would run down the outside of the building and come in the windows if they were open even a quarter inch. And, here they are, cleaning out the gutters. Now that we are in the dry season and there is no rain in the foreseeable future, and even if there was, it wouldn’t be enough to register in the rain gauge. Here they are………..I am so pleased. 😡
