Good evening, kids! Just stopped by to relate a pleasant experience I had today. A friend and I went to the cheaper Tuesday matinee at the mega-cinema to see “Murder on the Orient Express”. Now, I rarely go to the movies anymore since no one seems to know how to behave in them. I’ll see things like “Avatar”, of course, but generally, I prefer to stream my movies.

I was surprised to see so many cars in the lot. Thought nothing of it because “Thor: Ragnarok” is also playing. Was literally shocked to see the theatre’s upper seats nearly full of seniors (the lower section of seats was empty). I didn’t see one person under probably 40!!

This was an entirely unexpected experience. You could have heard a pin drop once the movie started. The movie was very well done; I enjoy Kenneth Branagh’s work immensely, more the Shakespeare than the Hercule Poirot character in this movie, but he did produce the film and it reflected his deft hand.

There are a great many things that are going the way us fossils (hehe) are going. Too bad the young won’t know what they’re missing – like going to the cinema and being able to focus on the movie… So nice…

Good morning Puzzler. I haven’t been to the movie in forever, I’m happy you had a good time, it sounds like fun.

My sister was in town visiting yesterday and we went to a little local coffee house, I thought that they only had live music on Friday and Saturday but there was a guy in there with his guitar and every song he sang was one I had on my phone, we got to talking and he is a very interesting fellow, he suffers from depression and his music helps him more than therapy. He started a wellness group (or something like that) where he helps people make the debilitating periods of depression more tolerable through music and organizing their life, I told him that I find making my bed every morning no matter what my mood is seems to always help me orient my day in a positive direction, he said he tells people the first thing they should do is organize their sock drawer.

I asked him if he knew any Damien Rice songs and he knows almost every one! So funny Rice is someone we both studied as a person because of his manic depression and we also with were intrigued by the dynamics of his relationship with Lisa Hannigan.

Anyhow the owner of the coffeehouse who is a friend of mine walked over and said “You know he really is here to sing” she laughed and we laughed and then he sang Damien Rice songs.

Anyhow he was a very nice guy and he said I’d give you my business card but it’s in my car, so I’ll just write my information down for you. I thought he was going to give me his business information. I didn’t even look at the card he wrote it on, he just gave me his phone number and email 😜.

Chap doesn’t even know my name 😊.

lovely, it sounds like a wonderful day you had! I make my bed first thing as well (helps keep me from crawling back in most days) and I really laughed hard at the organizing the sock drawer. There is a deep understanding in the organizing the sock drawer too – organizing does bring one a sense of control and refined order. Me, anyway, lol!

It’s very cool that the guitarist gave you his personal information. Odds are against him not having his business cards on him while he’s playing a gig. Syncronicity is an amazing thing.

I hope, if you choose to contact him that it turns out you have the seeds of a solid friendship. Sounds like you just might. After all, the least that could come of it is that you find out where you can find him playing again! I checked out Daniel Rice on youtube and found his “Homage to Leonard Cohen and listened to some of his music. He’s quite different compared to what I usually listen to, but his voice does remind me of a much younger Cohen. I need to broaden my musical horizons!

Thanks for sharing such a great day, lovely! Sorry it took me so long to reply!

No problem Puzzler! I organized my shirt drawers about a year ago, folded and put in on their sides so I can see what I have rather than always wearing the same 3 tops 😜.

The guy was really sweet, I’ll probably stop in the coffee house before I’ll call him. We’ll see, definitely a very nice connection between us 🙂 .

My daughters are always introducing me to music (and Wooly 🙂 ) so I am blessed to receive texts that say “Hey I think you’d like this 🎧”

  8. I’m 46. Imagine if I shared a kiss with a 17 year old young woman? With her mom’s permission?

OMG. Pedogate. A kiss equals f**king. When did liberals become such absolute prudes? How did this happen? And why only for white people? Every other ethnicity imported here has babies, let alone kisses, at the age when they are physically able to have babies, and the Libs have no problem whatsoever with it. But a man sharing a kiss with a young woman? Evil.

I can cut off my penis and demand that everyone call me “she”, and use the women’s bathroom, and that’s perfectly fine. Sharing a kiss with a 17 year old? That’s beyond the pale.

I can be a Muslim with four wives, all forced, and some under 14. No problem. I can be a Mexican and start having babies with my 13-year old wife and continue until we have 8 or so. No problem.

I can drug and rape a 13-year old with my Hollywood wife, and be celebrated by the Left, like Roman Polanski.

I share a kiss with a woman who is younger than me?

“OMG, no public office for you, forever, you pervert.”

What the actual fk happened to Liberals? They were never prudes. They all called US prudes!

Some thoughts, a Moore victory will destroy the DNC and RNC.

    Come on Alabama!

From the archives: Roy Moore’s 1982 campaign was subject of ethics complaints

    https://www.annistonstar.com/free/from-the-archives-roy-moore-s-campaign-was-subject-of/article_8934e304-c72c-11e7-b5e6-dfba009879c1.html

The Gadsden Times also quoted District Attorney Bill Rayburn that the judge’s concern was part of a backlash to criticism made by Moore about the court system. “He (Swann) blames this office still for attacks upon the judicial system Roy Moore made in the past and is still making,” Rayburn, who now declines to comment on the controversy, told the Times.

Moore also believes that is the case. He traces all his problems to December 1979, when his criticisms of the courts were spelled out in a story by M.D. Garmon of The Gadsden Times.

“It all goes back to that article — that, and the fact that I never backed off of them,” he says, pointing to the clipping in one of his scrapbooks. After the article, “no one talked to me for two weeks,” he says.

Apparently, the same fate befell the reporter, who told a Birmingham newspaper he had been in “hot water” with courthouse officials ever since the story appeared.

    ****

The PTB hated Moore and he was trolling the mall for teenage flings yet suffered no repercussions for being a predator preying on young teens when the PTB were out for blood ? Sure that makes a world of sense.

    ******

    ****

Not a single accusation in 40 years, not during the ACLU battle to death with Judge Moore over the 10 Commandments, not a single person came forward with a sexual misconduct allegation, not a single accusation in 1979 – 1982 when Moore was despised by everyone in Alabama in power.

    ****

Moore’s attorney’s have sent a cease and desist letter to publications and outright said that these are lies.

    ****

Moore has said that they are lies.

    ***

This is a witch hunt and the RNC and DNC are knee deep in it.

    ***

Zero history of sexual misconduct. Zero history of allegations. Zero history of accusers saying Moore was ever inappropriate with them. Zero before 2 weeks ago.

Not one word about Roy Moore being a predator for 40 years yet 4 weeks before an election women all connected to the DNC come forward. One even deleted all her Trump hating social media. One of the accusers called Roy “Ray” during a live press conference and her attorney corrected her.

    ****

From 1992 until 2017 Moore was in all kinds of public spats due to his religiosity and not one accuser came forward. Not a single accusation.

I’ve already been called a pedophile defender for stating facts. The PTB are getting even more sinister, make the allegations so vile, so heinous that people are afraid to respond factually to them for the fear of being labeled a pedophile defender.

When did partisan, politicly timed accusations become proof of undeniable guilt?

Luther Strange’s campaign tried and failed to confirm Roy Moore allegations

      http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/luther-stranges-campaign-tried-and-failed-to-confirm-roy-moore-allegations/article/2640730

About six or seven months ago, Sen. Luther Strange’s campaign heard that Roy Moore “liked to chase women around the courthouse,” according to two Alabama Republican sources.

At the time, Moore faced a three-way Republican primary against Strange and Rep. Mo Brooks. In a tight race, it was clear the rumor could prove politically lethal.

“We did a lot of research. We tried and tried and tried,” one source said. “I think if we were able to find the names out, we probably would have passed it along to a reporter to track down … We just weren’t able.”

The second source said the campaign “was never able to get any solid information or leads or corroboration. Just like many people in Alabama, we heard a rumor.”

Before any details emerged, Moore defeated Brooks in an August primary and Strange in a September runoff.

Here is today’s painting, as soon as I saw it,I knew I had to post it. .”I’se Biggest” (1892) by Arthur John Elsley. This painting of a young girl comparing her height with that of a large St. Bernard dog was published, and later had to be re-engraved to satisfy public demand. The artist’s story is amazing as well. I’ll have to try and find more details on him. I don’t know how he managed to paint detailed paintings

Arthur John Elsley 1860 – 1952, an English painter famous for his idyllic genre scenes of playful children and their pets achieved great popularity during his life. Much of his work appeared in calendars, magazines and books. When only eleven years old, Arthur was turning out proficient animal studies made during frequent visits to the London Zoo in Regent’s Park. At age fourteen, he enrolled in the South Kensington School of Art (later the Royal College of Art). At about this time his eyesight became permanently damaged by a bout of measles. Elsley was awarded a silver medal in the Crystal Palace exhibition of 1891. During the First World War, from 1915 to 1917, Elsley produced only 4 paintings one of which, a portrait of his daughter Marjorie, was exhibited at the Royal Academy. He contributed to the war effort by working on bomb-sights in a munitions factory, straining his already poor eyesight. By the early 1930s he was able only to carry out woodworking and gardening. At the height of his career from 1878 to 1927, Elsley exhibited 52 works at the Royal Academy. However, many more were shown at exhibition halls throughout the country

G&C that is a big dog. A girl could saddle it up and ride it.

Joshua, we are in a tech anti-renaissance. It will only get worse.

It’s because of SJW HR departments at tech companies. The more you value people with blue mohawks, multiple piercings, and multiple tattoos, alternative sexuality, and atheism, because Diversity is Paramount, the less likely your company is to make a product that actually works.

Our products will work less and less well each month, as long as HR is SJW-converged.

A company can only have one primary goal. If it is Diversity, or Safe Space For Diverse People, then Good Product is no longer the primary goal. Plain and simple.

I’m hopeful though. After all the tech companies suicide themselves this way, they will be replaced by companies for whom Making a Good Product is the number one goal, even if they are completely staffed by non-tattooed, non-pierced, normal cis-male whites.

          And probably because.

found this posted next door….the passion and powerful opinion made me copy it and bring it over to the light side….

“But now y´all are telling me that McConnell, McCain, the rest of the entire GOPe swamp, plus Ted Cruz and now even Sean Hannity (who grates on my very last nerve), are all telling – TELLING! – us what to do? This same crowd which can´t get Obamacare overturned despite seven – SEVEN! – years of pleadungs and promises, who can´t do anything about tax reform, who are slowing confirmation of PDT´s judicial nominees, and who mock and disagree with him at every turn, *this* bunch of lying, cretinous, greedy, unscrupulous pantywaists is telling us what to do?!? HAHAHAHHAHAHAAA And that is not a happy laugh…that is a cold anger (a la CTH) laugh.

“You bunch of pusillanimous cheese-eating-surrender-monkeys can kiss my grits. It´s been a long time since I was this mad, but y´all just DO NOT KNOW WHEN TO QUIT. You think you can point your arrogant fingers down at us from your lofty Acela-Corridor country club perches while sipping cognac and smoking expensive cigars, and we will jump to do your bidding. Well, GUESS AGAIN. You make me SICK. And the next time I get the urge, I shall emit a malodorous bodily gas in your general direction.”

      Awesome.

These people got Trump elected. And they still don’t get it.

I don’t get angry much, any more. I just tell them to keep talking.

“Keep doin’ what you do, GOPe and Libs (but I repeat myself). That works for us.”

I broke my TV last week. Here. I punched it, and it became shatter-glass.

It was a culmination of the Left MSM wanting the Texas Church shooter to be a Right-winger, me having to watch commercials to view a website, and a comment going directly to Spam because I spent more than ten minutes typing it. So I punched my TV. I haven’t been that angry in a long time.

Whoops. I should punch Lefties instead. Right in the melon.

But then I’d be in jail, for doing what’s right. I have a new TV now. Former bossman gave me one he used to have hanging in one of his restaurants. Old, 720p, looks a bit like Windows 3.1, but it works. I promised him I wouldn’t punch it.

      • Not only would I be in jail if I punched a Lefty in the melon, but all three of my names would be published, and my complete description and Alt-Rightness would be described in the first paragraph of every article, nationwide, including the fact that I am white.

So I don’t punch lefties in the melon. Just my TV, every ten years or so.

I’m not proud that I did that. I had to let you know. I was that angry.

I don’t want to watch TV. But now, if I read a website, I have to watch TV.

I don’t want the MSM to desire a conservative Christian right-winger to be the perp, badly, like they do.

But they do, every time. And they’re wrong, every time. (Why are we always right when we guess the ethnicity of the perps? Why every single time, just from reading a headline?)

I don’t want to be sent to spam because I spent more than ten minutes typing a comment, on a website at which I’m known and somewhat loved. But I am. So many times, it’s not funny.

32″ VISIO. Shatterglass. In the dumpster the next day.

On November 5, 2009, U.S. Army Major Nidal Hasan opened fire at Fort Hood, Texas, killing thirteen people and injuring more than 30 servicemembers and civilians. Sgt. Joshua Berry was among the servicemembers injured in the attack.

Following the massacre, the Secretary of Defense declined to recognize the mass shooting as an international terrorist attack against the United States. Instead, the attack was characterized as “workplace violence.” As a result, active duty servicemembers injured in the attack were ineligible for the Purple Heart, among other awards and benefits.

Good news about the young woman I mentioned yesterday! We talked today and one of her many attributes is that she hears, she even understood about dating a man who is bad for her being a way to feel her mum actually loved her.

I was really proud of her, she said she would never date the chap we were discussing but more importantly she got the bigger picture. Something very beautiful about coming from an environment where you are not intrinsically valued and kept whole as a child is that it makes me very attuned to these kids.

Thank you to all who weighed in and to all who prayed, please continue to pray for her 🙏🏼.

It really is a gift that many times goes unacknowledged isn’t it; to be able to ‘feel’ the room, or people or to see around corners. “Not being kept whole as a child” keeps us whole as adults….with a lot of hard work, of course, and a willingness to see what was and make the decision to change our own futures.

The young lady in question receives so many gifts from you. (She also can see around corners, sees who you are and trusts you.) I’m guessing one reason you’re so “Lovely” is that you chose to be! Prayers for both of you, Lovely.

Thanks Lburg, something that I find as a common thread amongst people who come from destructive families yet somehow find someplace within themselves to keep “intact” is that they have an intrinsic knowledge that their family, although it is all that they know, is not all that there is.

I think it is a connection to God that the mind through the soul is aware of and the soul body and mind seek that “unknown Goodness” rather than trying to block it out because it doesn’t make sense in the chaos around them. Everyone is always pulled in some direction, some of us choose to swim upstream without really knowing why until much later in life 🙂 .

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

And, Lord, we pray for all the people who have been affected by the earthquakes and hurricanes.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

    • Wow. I bet Gloria Allred is getting drunk tonight.

Just so she can forget for a while, what a piece of * she is.

I mean, how do these people compartmentalize what they are, when they lie and know that they are lying? I mean, you have to look at your face in the mirror every so often, right? How do you look at yourself in the mirror knowing exactly how evil you are?

Is that MK ULTRA, right there? The ability to distance yourself from your other self?

Is it that duality that lets these people comb their hair in the morning, seeing someone else in the mirror? I sure wouldn’t want to be Gloria Allred.

I look in the mirror and see me. Not some other me that I hate. Just me.

Hardened hearts, arrogance, fear, trajectory. They are rocks rolling down a hill each lie propels them faster toward the abyss.
The Left is built on hate, they hate what is good and holy, they hate the unborn to the point of fighting for the right to legally kill and then bragging about killing a baby in their womb as if it is a vitreous act of empowerment.

Somewhere within them they know they should not hate what is good and holy, one can not extract God from their soul. God is a hound always fighting to regain souls as His own. When you continuously fight what is good and holy self loathing becomes your bellwether.
