      Yes. I am so blessed.

I have chosen, some earlier than usual, to start up the long play youtube orchestral Christmas music.

Christmas decorating has been initiated much earlier than normal for me because i know strength is limited and I really want to have my house Christmasy, even if no one is here to see it but me.

The fact is, I can still do almost anything I desire to do as long as I allow plenty of time for it all. It’s all so very good.

So I have Christmas music playing and I’m preparing some chicken in broth, later to be used partially (the chicken) for a pasta salad for my lunch.

Here’s the Christmas music offering I’m listening to in case anyone else wants to enjoy –

Love having Christmas in my heart – then I don’t have to wait.

They’d have a hard time climbing that tree, but you might have a lot of fun watching them try.

We used to have an iguana, I named him Igor because my husband found him at the shipyard on Halloween. He was a mean beast. When we let him out he had two favorite places. The mountain stone fireplace, up high, and his very favorite, my reading chair. It had a bright tropical print on it, and he apparently viewed it as home.

My daughter had an iguana when she was in HS, she got it as a baby, but as that thing grew he was always figuring out how to get out and the meaner he got. She finally had enough. I found her on the internet one day searching if you could eat them. lol
I gave it to a teacher for her classroom and warned her to only let kids look not touch and told her it was an escape artist. It got out one night and they never found it again, my daughter always said it was probably an excuse and she killed the evil thing. 🙂

I’ve never known a cat to be deterred from clawing its way up anything. “OH LOOK!” it would say, “SOMETHING TO DESTROY!!!!!”

I wanted an iguana as a pet but had a friend who had one that would run across the room to bite you or smack you with its tail. That and I remember the Chicken of the Tree iguana entrees in Panama.

When I was a child there was no family monies to spend on sick pets or getting their shots except for what the law required such as rabies vaccinations. Our Boston Terrier became sick one time with some type of lung ailment. My mother rubbed his chest with Vaporub, wrapped him up in a light wool blanket, held him all night with the vaporizer going, and the next day he was better. She repeated the Vaporub the next day and then he was OK. I mean you do what you gotta do!

Stella was prescribed Pepcid for upset stomach, I’ve used Benadryl, Peroxide (the time she ate rat poison), Dramamine and Glucosamine etc. Also aspirin. Stella was also prescribed an anti-nausea drug that is also a human drug.

We always self treated our animals. Still do a lot. My grandfather always wormed his animals by feeding them chewing tobacco, his animals were always healthy so I guess it worked.
Chewing tobacco costs more than worm medicine these days so I just buy worm medicine.
There are many medicines you can buy at farm stores and can cut down the dose and give to dogs.

I’ve given Pepto-Bismol to a poopy dog a few times! I also once had an elderly Border Collie that had thyroid problems. The vet gave her the same meds he said I would take if I had thyroid problems. One little pill, and she was as right as rain! She lived a long and happy life.

I think cats can’t take aspirin or Pepto-Bismol!

I wouldn’t doctor a cat without advice. According to my vet (when we trying a human drug on Stella), dog’s share about 85% of our genetic makeup. Many human drugs work well for dogs, but some don’t. In this case, it was a drug given to humans with kidney failure to encourage red blood cell production.

I just got back a while ago, $175 poorer, from an Ophthalmologist vet because my doggie now has a scratch on her other eye. It isn’t as bad as the first one, but now I have to put certain meds in the first eye and others in the other eye. He wants to make sure the same thing that happened to the first eye doesn’t happen to this one. Oy Vey. And, the cone has to go back on. We both hate that.

Hi all! Here is a report about something that has not been publicized as much as it should be due to PC. This does not list Somali’s, who according to the WHO, have the most mental health problems.
    http://www.dcclothesline.com/2017/11/07/incest-in-islam/#more-78036
Incest in Islam Posted by Pamela Geller
from (Reproductive Health Journal, 2009 Consanguinity and reproductive health among Arabs – https://reproductive-health-journal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1742-4755-6-17)
    Percent of all marriages that are consanguine (blood-related), up to;
    34% in Algeria
    45% in Bahrain
    etc….
    That study is from 2009!
The article above this at DC Clothesline is “Ethiopian Immigrant Travels to White House to ‘Kill Trump’ And ‘All White Police’”, which also shows up on Gateway Pundit.
Last year, I think it was, I wrote a comment at the Treehouse about inbreeding and the resulting mental health problems due to the high number of illegitimate births here in the USA. This was after reading about the problems the Scandinavians were having with the number of Somali’s they have had to institutionalize, as well as an article by a U.S. black activist on black illegitimacy rates. We do not need to add to a problem we already have by importing more (and teaching mental frailty in schools). If the progs really cared about these people they would publicize the negative mental health problems caused by illegitimacy and incest – but they really don’t care – do they.

Gotta remember that many of these Islamic countries’ cultures are still tribal, their borders are a Western creation. They tend to marry inside of their tribes and religious groups more than outside, remember that Saudi princess in ’77 who was executed for adultery with a commoner? The princess given asylum in 2009 in Britain for adultery with a Brit commoner? Women are chattel in Islam and frequently told whom to marry, marriages for status. If it’s inside the gene pool, that’s just business.

Our lunchtime entertainment in NOLA today is the ongoing case of one Mark Hambrick. Mr Hambrick was told, he says, by the Lord to kill his 18-month old daughter. Mr Hamnrick stabbed her, with a serrated kitchen knife, 4 times in the vicinity of her heart and held her as she bled out. After holding her for five hours whilke she bled but did not die it appears Mr Hambrick suffocated her. Mt Hambrick then called 911 and sat on the porch and waited for the police to arrive.
In his arraignment Mr Hambrick said he knew what he did was wrong and wanted the State to kill him so that he can be resurrected.
I’m not going to post a link, if you want to be totally disgusted go to: http://www.fox8live.com and search under Mr Hambrick’s name. News today is that Mr Hambrick’s defense team is considering an insanity plea.

I volunteered for six (!) hours today at polling stations out here in the Back-of-Beyond, Virginia. Parts of me are still trying to get warm – it was a rather blustery cold wet kind of day here.

Interestingly, one of the BIG issues for people who chose to stop and chat, was whether or not statues commemorating southern history should be removed. Tied with the anti-Gillepsie ad featuring racist confederate flag truck wielding conservative chasing down hispanic and muslim children and women. *spit*

Many many people simply expressed the opinion that they were sick and tired of not being allowed to have an opinion or that their opinions had nothing substantive but were pure racism. The energy with which these three opinions were expressed was another surprise. I’ve helped at the polls for several years and this particular election was charged – almost as much as the Presidential election. Almost.

The ad worked! It caused a flood of people to come out and vote for Gillespie. I was at two different locations and the turnout was really robust considering the weather. The last part of my second shift was spent with the local Republican Committee Chairman and he said that at one polling place, during a time when things usually slacked off, 100 people had voted within a 45 minute period.

Fingers crossed that this bodes well for Gillespie.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
