The New York Post is reporting that Paul Manafort and his business associate, Rick Gates, have been told to report to Federal authorities in connection with Russian meddling in the Presidential election.
It is not clear what charges are being made against the two men.

WASHINGTON, Oct 30 (Reuters) – Paul Manafort, a former campaign manager to President Donald Trump, and a business associate were indicted by a federal grand jury on 12 counts including conspiracy against the United States, conspiracy to launder money and violating federal lobbying and banking laws, the federal special counsel said on Monday.
“The indictment contains 12 counts: conspiracy against the United States, conspiracy to launder money, unregistered agent of a foreign principal, false and misleading FARA statements, false statements, and seven counts of failure to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts,” the counsel said in a statement.

Reading between the lines it sounds like tax fraud. I can’t find any information on when Gates and Manafort’s partnership ended.
It also sounds like these charges are related to current and past fraud going back over a decade. Manafort worked with Podesta, Obama and the Clintons, Mueller is hoping that Manafort has no loyalty and will turn on team Trump. Mueller knows that the Russian collusion is a useless rabbit hole so he is going to offer a get out of jail free card to Manafort in exchange for any dirt on President Trump.
Mueller has a few problems, the Clinton machine is dying and losing power, President Trump has tremendous power and knows more about Mueller, the Clintons, Comey and the swamp than Mueller would like to believe. My bet is Manafort would rather anger the Clinton Cabal than President Trump.
Strictly my opinion.

FYI, on “The Circus”, it is noted that Paul Manafort was a former lobbying partner of Roger Stone. No mention was made of his partnership with Podesta.
Oh, and although the perps who “host” this ILLary/Dim propaganda show for Showtime and Bloomberg Politics meet all the time with Roger Stone, including at his home, behind his back they called him “Satan”.

“Tax fraud” is laughable in the face of the unfolding Uranium One treason! This is simply Mueller’s knee-jerk reaction to capture a few news cycles. Truth be known, a myriad of folks could be accused of “tax fraud”, and whether guilty or not, could be either convicted or not based upon the two particular lawyers on a particular day in court. Just something for the MSM morons to salivate over in lieu of the disintegration of the infamous “Trump Dossier”.

I was going to guess the indictment was for felony ‘being a successful white conservative’ but news is saying it’s about 12 counts of fraud and money laundering while acting as an unregistered agent for the Ukraine.
Nowhere in the indictment does it say ‘Russia’ or ‘Trump’, so I’m betting the Special Persecutor found no connection and is trying to put the screws to Manafort to get him to lie….errrrrr, turn to the dark side….uhhhh, join the Rat pack…..oh hell, help the Obama-Clinton-RINO cabal crucify Trump.
Feds now have what they consider traction, they have only convinced a grand jury that there may have been some wrongdoing, not that hard a thing if you have ever been on/seen one in operation. It’s not a trial, just a panel that decides if there is enough probable cause to go to an actual trial and they are one of the Fed’s favorite weapons.
I can see the Feds pushing mountains of technical accounting data and Federal laws at a jury of folks pulled off of the street. They overwhelm them, convincing them that the Feds have enough information and hoping the jury will be so lost it will issue a true bill out of confusion and just pass the case on to a trial…the Federal axiom ‘an action passed is an action completed’ in motion.
The Feds could, if they wanted to be asses, keep a case like this in court for years, potentially bankrupting the defendant and ruining his life and marriage. Even if the defendant wins, he loses, so this kind of legal extortion/blackmail is the perfect tool for Feds trying to screw someone they don’t really have anything on, trading the defendant’s life for the target’s.
The Feds usually reserve this level of blatant government persecution for top level targets who have really pissed off someone in high places, it’s an expensive and obvious display of power being wielded to protect power. The active phase of the Death to Trump and Populism begins.

Wash Post’s reporting that the case has been assigned to Judge Amy Berman Jackson, not only a Rat donor and Obama appointee but she represented crooked RAT Congressman ‘Dollar Bill’ Jefferson in his Federal corruption trial.
No suh, no possibility of an unfair persecution here, I’m presuming Manafort is gonna get 15 to 25 years on just a Federal parking violation from this kangaroo court. Expect to see even more Trump associates get strapped to the Federal dunking chair as the Rats and RINOs to crucify someone who dares threaten their rice bowls.

Mr. Mueller is apparently selective in how he prosecutes lawbreakers, and how he defines lawbreaking. That being the case, all the singing canaries in the world will be of little interest to him unless they fulfill his purposes at the moment..

Where are the Podesta charges?
I will say I had never heard of Manafort until he was part of Trump’s campaign. He always seemed kind of slimy to me, but others said differently. What he’s being charged with though applies to Podesta, DNC, Hillary’s campaign and the Clinton Foundation. Unless Mueller charges them then this is imo what it always has been a witch hunt to try and take down President Trump.

Podesta is going to be sacrificed he will be indicted or suicide.
Manafort was wiretapped. Manafort’s life is over. Mueller gave him time to hide enough funds that Manafort’s family will be comfortable for the rest of their lives.
The DNC and RNC have far more to fear from this indictment than does President Trump.
Manafort and his business partner were both indicted on the same charges it has nothing to do with the Trump campaign on President Trump, the main case is about fraud.
This is good stuff, Manafort was candidate Trump’s campaign manager for less than 3 months, he was in bed with McCain, Podesta, the Clintons much much longer.
The MSM will have some glory days pretending that this is about President Trump then POTUS will knock them on their rumps.
Sarah Huckabee will also knock them out.

From what I understand he’s been charged with things happening years before President Trump ran for President. It makes you wonder if he was a plant, but at least candidate Trump didn’t keep him around long.

Manafort and his partner Gates were basically indicted for fraud and perjury (even though they are not calling it perjury) in conjecture with their joint business.

The best I can understand the charge of “Conspiracy against the United States” is Manafort’s case is that Manafort committed loan and tax fraud and he lied to the FBI it is a charge that is very nebulous.
If two or more persons conspire either to commit any offense against the United States, or to defraud the United States, or any agency thereof in any manner or for any purpose, and one or more of such persons do any act to effect the object of the conspiracy, each shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.
If, however, the offense, the commission of which is the object of the conspiracy, is a misdemeanor only, the punishment for such conspiracy shall not exceed the maximum punishment provided for such misdemeanor.

None of it has anything to do with President Trump or collision with Russia.
From the indictment it appears that Manafort was very active within Ukraine and we all know who is dirtier than a sewer rat when it comes to Ukraine.

I would rather they had perp-walked hillary. This confirms what was already apparent – all Trump all the time, regardless of how distant the cause and connection.
At least Mr. Trump will fight back unlike most of our other “representatives”.

All that tax money spent, and all we got out of it was another great pic of Paul Manafort?
Everyone knows Manafort was only hired as eye candy for we ladies. Well, plus that other thing about Clinton/Cruz/NeverTrumpers trying to coerce the electors into “voting their conscience” and needing a strongman to run interference on the attempted coup. One suspects Manafort was fired when the Prez found out about Manafort’s Podesta/Clinton connection, prob from Roger Stone who foresaw poss future probs.
What is sad is all the damage that is now to be done on a minor Swamp Creature and his fam. Pres Trump has said he will pay all atty fees for those on his campaign who are victims of this witch hunt. One hopes the Prez will sue Clinton/DNC for damages from this post-presidency.
Prayers for Mr. Manafort and his fam. Hopeully more good pics will be forthcoming. Eye candy is eye candy, after all.
