      Our first dog ever when I was about 6 was a Samoyed – Ivan Cassandra Chinook (I didn’t name ’em folks, that’s the way he came). My Uncle showed him and I spent a lotta time cleaning long, sticky Sammy hair off of everything.

      I have one of those. It’s a toss up whether I am going to keel over because of her or Conner. She doesn’t like small children at all, and when she first came to live with us I had a professional trainer come out to work with her a little, and to determine if she would be safe around the grandkids.

      She’s fine now around thekids, avoids them. Except Conner. She actually likes Conner. They share traits. Recognize the spirit in each other I guess.

      Just gotta keep killin’ me with the GSD postings.We don’t rake our leaves, nature does that for us, but when we’d thin brush and trees Z would pick up the cut trees and drag them over to the burn pile. Some of them would be 4-inches in diameter but he’d drag and drag. You can see in the gravatar that he wasn’t scared of fire one bit. Only thing that ever put him in his place was the female Border Collie, then agin’ women be the stabilizing force (cough, cough) for many of us.

    GGS is sleeping on the short two-seater couch. He has his old friend BD as a pillow, Lucky is under his feet and the beagle-slinky mix Chez is sleeping on the back of the couch by his head. Dog pile.
