    Despicable People

    Just when you thought liberals had sunk as low as they could, they break out the shovel and start digging.

    Nothing is sacred anymore. Nothing is off limits, and everything is political. This week showed us once again there is nothing Democrats won’t exploit, no grave they won’t dance on, if they think they can score political points. And there’s nothing “journalists” won’t spin, won’t lie about, and no hypocrisy too great to prevent them from smearing their political opponents.

    I never wanted to believe liberals were actually evil, just obstinately wrongheaded and misguided in their belief that the policies they advocate only failed everywhere they’ve been tried because they weren’t the ones implementing them. This manufactured story has me rethinking that opinion.

    What else can you call people willing to distort the truth, to smear a good man like Kelly, simply to put some points on the board in a political battle? It wasn’t done by accident, it wasn’t done casually without forethought, it was done deliberately with purpose. If there’s another word to call that, I’d like to hear it.

The list is much longer than that, of course, the worst of them all being our favorite villain, Hillary Clinton. They are all vile and morally reprehensible. The democrats can keep showing us how wicked they are and more and more people will wake up and walk away from them. They are doing a fabulous job of self-destructing. I just hate that Frederica Wilson is doing it to General Kelley in an effort to disparage him, along with getting in jabs at President Trump.

      These people are vile spawns of the Lie. They will do anything to retain their power and that power is under mortal fire at the moment. From what I’ve read the only MSM that is covering the Clinton/Russia/Uranium/145 million $$ is FOX.

      As abominable as I think the Rodeo Clown is, I also believe she is a distraction, her disgusting politicization of a soldier’s death is her running interference for Team Clinton/Obama/Mueller/Bush.

      Wilson herself is simply too stupid to have planned this as a distraction but her ignorance and hate are being exploited by Team Clinton. I believe Wilson’s contemptible words were happenstance but it was the the distraction that Team Clinton had prepared for, it is the response and putting it into the news cycle that was premeditated, done with forethought, with marching orders.

      Wilson is expendable the cabal knows this, she is an empty barrel, relatively useless other than the loud noises she can make.

      I never wanted to believe liberals were actually evil, just obstinately wrongheaded and misguided in their belief that the policies they advocate only failed everywhere they’ve been tried because they weren’t the ones implementing them. This manufactured story has me rethinking that opinion.

      The ringleaders are not only evil, they are terrified, terrified that President Trump has access to so many of their secrets. They are horrified that President Trump knows them so well, terrified that for decades they let their guard down around him. They are terrified that President Trump has at least some people on his team willing to lay low, put their nose to the grindstone and work silently as they paint these people deeper and deeper into a corner.

      If that f*cking b*stard wins we all hang from nooses.__Hillary Clinton

      Hillary wasn’t just whistling dixie, she was shaken to the core at the glimpse of her future.

    Good Morning All! Hopefully I am back for an extended time now 🙂 What great photos for the website! Those gray trees are really unusual! The fall foliage around here has been great this year.
    Today’s painting (drawing) is by one of my favorite artists. You may recognize her style and artwork.

    Frances Tipton Hunter (1896–1957) was an illustrator who created covers for The Saturday Evening Post and many other magazines between the 1920s and 1950s.
    Hunter was born in Howard, Pennsylvania. After her mother’s death, Hunter and her older brother moved in with her aunt and uncle when she was 5 or 6 years old.
    Her love of drawing and art began when she was three years old. Whenever she visited her grandmother, Hunter drew figures on the wallpaper in the stairway. She painted her first artwork in the 6th grade. The piece depicted 3 puppies in a basket. Hunter studied illustration under Thornton Oakley at the Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Art. She then attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial.
    While studying in Philadelphia, Hunter was hired by John Wanamaker to illustrate a line of children’s fashion for catalogs and advertisements. She had an artistic style similar to Norman Rockwell’s. Her favorite subject was children and their pets. Due to her talent and the characters she created, Hunter became the “most popular and best-selling calendar artist” of the 1940-50s.” Her memorable subjects were “welcome therapy to millions recovering from the dreariness of WWII.” In the early 1920s, Hunter created a series of paper dolls that appeared in Ladies’ Home Journal. After rave reviews and requests, she illustrated dolls to appear in the regular publications. From the 1930s to the 40s, Hunter contributed 18 covers to the Saturday Evening Post. In 1946, Hunter did a series of paintings depicting the everyday problems of a little boy and his dog. The series, “Sandy in Trouble,” continued for 11 years. She illustrated and published two books, Boo, Who Used to Be Scared of the Dark, and The Frances Tipton Hunter Picture Book.
    She was listed in the Who’s Who in American Art from 1936 to 1956 and was a member of the Society of Illustrators. Hunter was named one of the first Pennsylvania ambassadors by the state Chamber of Commerce, and was named “A Distinguished Daughter of Williamsport.”

        REMEMBRANCE OF THINGS TO COME by Ogden Nash
        What am I doing, daughter mine?
        A-haying while the sun doth shine; Gathering rosebuds while I may,
        Reveling in the brief sensation of basking in your admiration.
        Oh, now, when you are almost five, I am the lordliest man alive;
        Your gaze is blind to any flaw, and brimming with respect and awe.
        Though adults oft my charm disparage,
        three times you’ve sought my hand in marriage.
        You think me handsome, strong and brave.
        You came at morn to watch me shave.
        The neighbors’ insults lose their sting when you encourage me to sing,
        And like a fashion plate I pose while you compliment my clothes.
        Who wishes his self-esteem to thrive should belong to a girl of almost five,
        But almost five can’t last forever.
        And wide-eyed girls grow tall and clever.
        Few creatures others less admire than a lass of seventeen her sire.
        What humiliation must you weather when we are seen in public together!
        Perchance I’ll munch a stick of gum, or in the theater brazenly hum;
        My hat, belike, will flout the law laid down for hats at Old Nassau;
        My anecdotes you’ll strive to stanch, and at my table manner blanch;
        My every word and every deed will agony and embarrassment breed;
        Your goal of goals, the end of your ends, to hide me forever from your friends.
        Therefore, I now chant roundelays, and rollick in your pride and praise;
        Too soon the nymph that you will be will shudder when she looks at me.

          I listened to it as a child and now as I have watched my daughters grow from a messy jumble of parts, from mommy is the most wonderful person in the world with the best voice in the world (I used to sing them to sleep every night but couldn’t hold a tune even if you gave me a bucket to carry it in 😜) to young adults saying “Mom! Please don’t sing!”, to young women making their own way in the world, it tugs at my heart even harder.

    Here is this week’s bacon recipe:

    Bacon-Wrapped Artichokes (Fondi di Carciofi)
    Ingredients:
    20 (@ 2 cans or 2 jars) artichoke hearts
    quality olive oil
    Italian seasoning – optional
    10 slices bacon cut in half
    1⁄3 cup freshly grated Parmesan

    Directions
    Preheat oven to 425°F.
    Slice bacon in half to make shorter. Strain artichokes and gently squeeze each to remove any excess liquid. Roll artichoke hearts in good quality olive oil & let sit for a minute or two to let excess drain. Sprinkle with a MINIMAL amount of seasoning if desired. Lightly oil the bacon halves with so that the grated Parmesan will stay on as the artichoke is rolled. Wrap each artichoke heart with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
    Place on a rimmed baking sheet.
    Bake for 25 minutes until bacon begins to render, then broil for 5 to 8 minutes until bacon is deeply golden and slightly crisp.
    After baking you can lightly sprinkle with a little extra grated Parmesan if desired.
    To make the lemon-garlic sauce, Place ½ cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, & 1 clove garlic in a blender and puree until combined.
    Serve bacon-wrapped artichokes promptly while hot, and if desired with with lemon-garlic sauce.
    If you use somewhat pre-cooked bacon, they may be baked in a 350 degree oven and be ready sooner.
    They can also be deep-fried at 350°. Fry until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Drain.

      Weird minor example of six degrees of separation in this article. She mentions Thor Halvorssen Mendoza, human-rights activist, as having been a victim of GPS-Fusion.

      His father, Thor Halvorssen Hellum (he is now deceased), has a twin brother, Olaf, who I knew quite well during the 1980’s, and was a guest in his home in North Miami several times. He let friends of mine and I use his high-rise condo on the inter-coastal. I met Thor Sr. on one occasion at Olaf’s home.

      Believe me, I am not rich, nor am I important. Just happened to know these people via a good friend of mine. They were influential and rich, and took us to interesting places in Miami. Olaf pointed out a family of high-level drug smugglers once in a fancy Miami Beach restaurant. His brother was drug czar in Venezuela at one time.

    When I was a teenager I remember a woman on the Oprah show. She was in her home and two men broke in, they beat her and during the fight one of the men ended up being momentarily incapacitated. She managed to get the male parts of the other man who was attacking her in her hand and squeezed and pulled as hard as she could. She said the man let out a primal scream, a guttural scream like a wounded child, she felt terrible about causing another human being such pain and she let go of her grip.

    The man proceeded to beat her into unconsciousness. The men then took her to her car drove to a remote spot, repeatedly raped her in ever way possible, beat her some more and then ran her over with her own car leaving her for dead.

    She survived. She had permanent damage to her body including loss of some of her eyesight and hearing.

    She told the story to say that good people in situations like she was put into must be prepared to go against their natural instincts, they must be willing to fight to the death, if she had not released the man because of her natural human horror at wounding a fellow human being she felt as if she could have gotten away by running while they were both incapacitated.

    President Trump lives this rule. He knows that the widow and the Rodeo Clown have nothing but nefarious goals and he is treating the situation as a vicious attack. At the end of the fight the widow and the Rodeo Clown will be laid out flat on the mat. Meanwhile I expect there to be a lot of caterwauling by the MSM and their usual minions about that horrible mean terrible President Trump picking on a black woman and a black military widow.

    Filthy liars.

    I’m am so happy we finally have someone on our side who fights back against their sacred cows.

Should you somehow gain the advantage, keep hitting the perp with any heavy object at your disposal until he’s disabled enough that you can get away.

      He knew that a defense mindset was difficult for untrained civilians, but he said never think the perp isn’t going to kill you. So do your best to have him be the one who gets dead.

      It’s almost four years since Grant left us. About a month ago, Eric asked me a question.

      “Mom, wasn’t Dad normally left-handed?”

      Me: “Yes. Always.”

      “But in his last year or so I always saw him writing with his right hand.”

      Me: “Yes. The arthritis in his left hand had gotten so bad he had to shift hands.”

      “So – he just changed over and retaught himself to write right-handed because he had to?”

      Me. “Yes.”

      “He never said a thing about it, Mom. He just did it.”

      Yes.

      Lessons.

      I knew at the time what he was having to do, and really didn’t know if he had ever said anything to our sons. He hadn’t. He just did it.

        Thank you for sharing Sharon, that is how it is done, we do it. The fanfare isn’t necessary because in the end just have to do it. Righting with your non dominant hand is still impressive.

        I love this guy in the video, wisdom, he and his brother “aren’t the smart ones” humble.

      As far as I can determine (I admit I didn’t read every word) the Sackler family has done nothing illegal. If Oxycontin is found to be too dangerous, then the FDA should ban it. I refuse to hate these people because they are rich.

  20. For about 20 hours now, again, it’s raining.

    Songs about rain are not rare. I used to burn thematic CDs for friends. I don’t do that any more, not really into stealing. I could make a 10-CD Box Set about rain.

    My afternoon walk was really a treat today. You know how dogs are a great conversation starter.

    A man in his late 60s was out walking two canines, and so I made a comment on how adorable they were as I passed by. He said what a beautiful day it was. I countered with a mention of the article I posted about how being out in nature is good for a person psychologically and he heartily agreed.

    Then, upon noting his sweatshirt had “Viet Nam Veteran” and an organizational name emblazoned on it, I asked if he’d had a chance to see the Medal of Honor ceremony. He hadn’t but one thing led to another and we talked for about 15 minutes about Viet Nam and the present-day wars. Upon departing we shook hands, introduced ourselves, and he said to put his name into the search engine for a short remembrance of his time in Viet Nam.

    Soon as I got home, the search engine got searched and low and behold, I had been speaking to a genuine war hero, a silver star and purple heart recipient. What an honor! Hope I see him again.

    When I was walking away, my mind immediately concentrated on how I was going to be paying for that bit of pleasurable conversation. Though I don’t mention much about my health, standing for more than 5 minutes can be quite painful because of edema and plantar fascia problems brought about by several autoimmune illnesses. I basically force myself to take a walk each day to keep the muscles from atrophying and that’s actually easier than standing in place. However, amazingly enough, though there is some numbness in my feet, there’s not a bit of pain. Thank You, Lord, for small miracles.

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

    Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

    Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

    Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

    Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
    Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

    We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
    Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

    And, Lord, we pray for all the people who have been affected by the earthquakes and hurricanes.

    In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

    LOL I’m watching Dancing with the Stars and tonight it is unfortunately about Hollywood. My first thought was of Harvey Weinstein. Bad timing on their part. Of course, I am sure the decision to do this was made long ago before Harvey messed up the name of Hollywood.
