    Final tally for Nate…if you were on the east side you got some hammering, if you were on the west side it was the weather version of ‘The Mystery of Al Capone’s Vaults’.
    Total rainfall here was .6 inches with no winds over 40. My GDIL in Gulfport, right on the eyewall and about two miles north of the beach, never lost power and had no standing water. GGDs slept right thru it. Most outages seem to be trees and branches hitting lines and the latest outage map is really rather clear.
    Morning news at worst found one large sailboat up on the beach at Biloxi and sand on highway 90…which ain’t all that unusual. The horror pictures of 4 feet of water sloshing thru a casino were about the worst flix but then when you build on the beach and on the water whatta ya gonna expect? The casino who rebuilt after Katrina just gave their lower levels over to inevitable flooding and moved the functions to higher floors. Y’all remember the pix of those huge floating casinos the state mandated being picked up on Katrina’s surge and deposited on the lands completely across hiway 90? This one wasn’t even in the same universe.
    Major NOLA casualty sems to be Mayor Landrieu’s already tattered level of credibility due to that silly curfew he tried. In all, the overwhelming sturm und drang was all media hype.

    Really random post:
    So, I watched The Voice music program. I know the program and judges are all things Hollywood/Commie/ObamaLoving/TrumpHating but I watched for another reason. Something strange. First I watched first four 2017 episodes/blind auditions and there was something that was strange. A contestant came on and had sang at a part or something where Jennifer Hudson (a judge on show) had been and she had thrown a shoe at him and so she did it again to show how much she loved his singing. They went into great detail about why, why, why, throwing a shoe was an honor but it did not make sense. Felt like a gimmick to start a new fad or something. Anyway, the shoe being thrown was brought up each episode like it was some well-known positive homage thing. Seemed very forced. False Hype. (Of course it would, we are talking Hollywood)

    Anyways, now today I read about a shoe being thrown at Hillary. It is a recycled story from three years ago and the lady was even arrested. Connection? Don’t know. But timing is strange. The three-year old vids were posted on a liberal fb page which makes me think connection but just not sure what is going on. For one thing I never saw the vid of shoe being tossed but watching it now, it sure looks fake response by Hillary. No security/secret service shielded her and she laughed. Bizarre then and still bizarre that their is some shoe throwing fad being created within the AA community. Or maybe always there but not know about?? And maybe the lady was arrested with Hil’s incident because she was too white to do so???

    Oh well, just facebkwallflower overthinking.

    Watching “Woodstock”: did not remember Sha -Na-Na played”!!?!! Not that I was there, mind you, to have not remembered, as it were. Had a friend who married a man who still has his unused tickets. Seems he was a medical student at Columbia & decided to go to classes instead.

    Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

    Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

    Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

    Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
