Time seems to pass fast.
The picture reminds me of
Halloween Trick or Treaters.
Since Halloween is next month,
thought it was time to order some
sweet treats for the 100 or so kids
that seem to enjoy Trick or Treat’n;
while the memory is still fresh.
Before long, Thanksgiving will be
making its appearance; if not upped
by early Christmas displays. Then,
there’s Chet asking to be moved away
from the fireplace; because it’s a tad
bit to warm. He loves the season; just
not every aspect of it. 😉

I laughed, but because I thought it said “Chef’s nuts…”.
I’m using that, next time Chef complains about how hot it is on the line next to the broilers.
“Chef, it’s too early for Christmas music.” LOL

Thank you for breakfast and Good Morning, Nyet! Good Morning everyone….
“Å’ufs Brouillés. –Break 4 or 6 eggs; beat them and put them into a sauce-pan with a piece of butter, a little salt, and a spoonful of sauce or gravy, which makes the eggs softer; stir them over the fire until sufficiently thick; serve on a plate garnished with toasted bread. To eggs dressed this way, ham, mushrooms, &c., minced, may be added. The difference between this and an omelette is, that an omelette is compact and turns out smooth, whereas Å“ufs brouillés are less done, and are therefore broken.” ~ Sarah Hale “Ladies’ New Book of Cookery, 1852

This is an area I worked in the early days of the ‘conflict’ when we were supposed to evacuate non-government US and, if they were in need, friendly-country civilians from Brazzaville. Note this ‘conflict’ has been going on through the Clinton, Bush II and POtuS administrations. Clinton wasn’t hoingbyomdo much, they didn’t have great amounts of money to ‘donate’, Bush was preoccupied, but the POtuS was a bro (dap dap, fist bump, high five), why no help, for the bruthas from the diffren’ muthas?
Note you didn’t really hear anything in the press about this little war, for some conspiratorial reason it was kept from us and few gave a rat’s ass anyway. The various African governments got involved and, typical of intra-African ops, it didn’t accomplish much. The US and Europe largely ignored it as the massacres went on…note the ‘millions’ dead, and it’s going into its second twenty years.
Anyway, y’all jes re-lax, turn in them guns and immerse yourselves in that new season of reality entertainment shows, thst kind of ethnic violence can’t happen here.

So some highbrows at NYU penned the report. FTA “The report by the Congo Research Group (CRG) at New York University”
Those responsible didn’t do anything wrong. FTA “The general named in the report, Muhindo Akili Mundos, has repeatedly denied any personal responsibility.”
Recommendations are for the UN to get involved to solve the problem. FTA “The report recommends a parliamentary investigation and U.N Security Council sanctions against individuals involved in the violence around Beni.”
AAaand, just for good measure, the religion of peace was involved. FTA “These rebels often worked in collaboration with militiamen from the Allied Democratic Forces, a Ugandan Islamist group active in the area. Congo’s government and U.N. peacekeeping missions blamed almost all the killings on the ADF.”
And unless Clinton actually starts “hoingbyomdo much”, I’m keeping my weapons.

As we worked it we were getting realtime pix of the bodies floating down the Congo River. We were working the evacuation of religious groups, Peace Corps and other NGO US personnel in the country as were other nations. For some reason (cough, cough) the Europeans were on the ground ahead of us and took US personnel.
You will find Moslem fighters involved in anything anywhere in Africa, like roaches in a kitchen they’re everywhere.
Back in the late 80s we were told that the richer Moslem nations in the Mideast thought thst AIDS was going to wipe out most of the natives in Subsaharan Africa. Wishing to capitalize on the issue some sent representatives there to see how fast they were dieing off and how much land was available. Part of the reason they were going there was to find farm land that would increase available food for the Moslem Mideast. What they found was the birth rate was far outstripping the death rate…bummer…so a campaign of conversion and jihad went into place, basically giving thugs a religious justification for their depraved behaviors. Think Boko Harem.

Gab is done. Unprofessionalism, megalomania, and hubris are not good qualities in a CEO.

If you scroll through the last couple of weeks of Vox Day’s site’s posts, you’ll see what just happened to Gab.ai, and why it was inevitable. The CEO dug Gab’s grave, and then went out on a rowboat with Gab/Fredo. Not the best way to run a company.

I stopped in there and saw something was happening but couldn’t figure it out. Andrew and the owner of Vox got into a fight is the best I can tell and Andrew thinks he is above his own TOS ? Sounds like a lot of nonsense.
Did Andrew really raise a million dollars in investments for Gab along with the monthly donations which if I recall right were exceeding thirty thousand dollars?
LikeLiked by 3 people
It’s unfortunate. Andrew was on Tucker Carlson recently, so I assumed things were humming along over there. I rarely ever check my account these days, but I frequently was blocking people for terrible language and anti-Jewish sentiment when I was trying to use it.

He wants to be a tech billionaire. Like Elon Musk. With Lamborghinis and all that.
His ego is greater than his intelligence and wisdom combined. Whoops.
He’ll find another host for Gab. And in a couple of months, he’ll find himself in the same situation he is in right now. He’ll never be an alternative to Twitter until he can become professional and above all the drama. He IS all the drama. Him and his wife.
They’re like SJWs who want to run a company, and who also want to destroy a company, because someone made them feel bad. This story is comic tragedy.

Love how he uses his thumb on the E string. I do that, too.
We live in a day and age, unlike in Hendrix’ day, where he is not to be famous, except among musicians and afficionados.
Like Joe Bonamassa, or John Mayer. Or the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Mayer is only famous for his pop work — he should be more famous, but MPAI. They don’t know what he can do with a guitar, or his voice, outside of what the radio and TV spoon-feeds them.
Rock and Blues aren’t dead. In fact, they’re thriving, and absorbing and improving upon their forebears. They just ain’t being made popular by the radio stations, the popular internet streamers, or the television. Thank God for YouTube, XM, and Pandora.
I was sad that Eric Clapton had to cancel his Crossroads Guitar Festival this year. That introduced me to a whole pantheon of guitar players. It was every three years, all the players selected by Clapton and Co. I hope someone else takes up the mantle, and continues this festival. All four of them are worth buying on DVD, and watching repeatedly.

Unlike Woodstock, the Crossroads festivals were more about the cerebral, and the music and it’s complexity and the skill of the players, and less about the hedonism and the filth and the activism.

Although Inside Edition tries to make this a hit piece on President Trump there is interesting insight into the Barron Trump’s disinterest in the gaggle of MSM morons around him. Skip to the 2:55 mark if you’d like to hear Tony, Trump’s long time butler opinion of Barron. IMO it is likely that Barron is a genius.

Some of his description of Trump sounds like my old boss. He would give you the shirt off his back, but he didn’t tolerate poor performance. He would occasionally yell (and he had a loud voice), but it was over almost as soon as it began, and he never held a grudge. He was a master at managing and leading. I remember once I had forgotten to do something, and he asked me if I had done it. I admitted that I had not. He yelled, “Well dammit, then don’t do it!”
He also dressed beautifully (he was Italian). Big difference is that he was a sophisticate when it came to food and wine.
I loved him to pieces.

I worked for a very demanding, no nonsense boss and loved it, because he was not only very smart (several patents to his name), but also reasonable. He was as fun to talk to at the water cooler as anyone.
He had envisioned a completely integrated order entry, fulfillment, and licensing system for our software, so called a meeting and explained it to all of us engineers and told us to make it happen. No written specifications, just his explanation. My luck was to have responsibility for the central process that had to interface with all the other components, which were not all on the same machine, OS, or database. It was so complex I had to create my own document to keep track of all the dependencies. One day the boss asked about a particular piece, and I said I had to make it behave my way rather than his way. He said I needed to do it his way because of XYZ. I agreed with XYZ, but pointed out the failure case where that would not be sufficient, and hence my way was necessary. He said, “OK, you now know it better than I do. Carry on.”
The result worked flawlessly. 🙂
He left the company when his superiors demanded he do a new project, but refused to fund it sufficiently. He did not suffer fools, whether in subordinate or superior positions.

I love it, and never thought I would. I just use olive oil, have forgotten to look for walnut oil, but I am quite sure it would be better with the walnut oil. It doesn’t last well, so I’d use one apple, and a smaller fennel bulb. I did eat some the second day, it just isn’t as good.

I was careful to slice everything as thinly as possible, and I think that made it better. Also, I chopped up those fronds too, and put them in it.

Menagerie, we have fennel growing out of the sidewalks behind the restaurant, now. Planted it about four years ago in a small parking-lot garden. Never replanted it. It just keeps coming back. Even a half a block away, out of sidewalk cracks.
I wish cilantro did that.

I harvested fennel seed heads yesterday…..purely out of self defense. Otherwise there would have been a gazillion plants out there in the spring!
Turns out that you can microwave the seed heads in 10-20 second bursts and dry even the green seed. (In other news, tiny leeeetle spiders can survive up to three 20 second microwave bursts! Eeeek. I now go for 4 no matter what.)
I put the seed into jars and then into the freezer. Smells like a licorice factory.
Cilantro! I had one lone plant survive the winter and reseed this spring. Cilantro is persnickety; needs a lot of water and reassurance.

Well dangnabbit Wooly, I don’t have sidewalks. Reckon it’ll just grow in my dirt next year? I grew up on a farmer’s market, so I can see in my mind exactly what you are talking about. There was little dirt at the market, lots of concrete and dusty filth. And tomato seeds took root everywhere in the tiniest amount of silt or dirt. Sometimes they grew in the crack between wall and floor.

Yes you did. Why at 34? That is tragic. I wonder how old Ayaan Hirisi Ali is? We need to be praying for these Muslim apostates who become Christian apologists. Ex-Hindus, too. Ravi Zacharias is 71. Still not beheaded. Still lecturing and debating with great skill.
Well, at least he went to heaven with his head attached. That’s the silver lining, I guess.

He was diagnosed a year ago I read. I am unable to answer why he died so young. I do believe, in this year of Fatima, that his ministry has played, and will continue to play, a very important role n the salvation of the world, and that Fatima has ties I cannot foresee to Islam.
He died. His work did not. And very frequently God uses death, as well as life, for the unfolding of His plan. In all likelihood he died a saint. Such is a blessed fate, and he died, to the end, a witness to love. You should check out his final video, made, I believe on September 9th.
Also, something else to think about, not necessarily related.

Can you give me links to info about “…year of Fatima…”, Menagerie?
Also, regarding your last link, and not necessarily related:

Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Robert Johnson, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse. All dead at 27 years of age.

I’m going to find some more for you, I know someone who is exceedingly educated about all things related to the Fatima vision. Here is one. Monsignor Pope writes frequently about it, and there is a reddit discussion on at least one of his articles. As I said, more to follow.

Watching a program on our war in Afghanistan. They say our successes there are largely limited by the miserable government at local and national levels, poor infrastructure and a high illiteracy rate. Geez, sorta sounds like some places here.

These foolish democrats selling their souls to get the vote of the illegal ingrates would do well to read the history of Benito Mussolini.
The ungrateful, ignorant, hateful illegal immigrants do not want their fate in the hands of the democrats they want the fate of the United States in their own hands, the hands of people who wish to raise the flag of Mexico over the White House.

lilbirdee12’s prayer:
Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
And, Lord, we pray for help for the people of Texas and Louisiana who are caught in the flooding. And, now we add everyone in the path of Irma to our prayer for safety.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

There is no better living rock or blues performer than Joe.
His performance at the Royal Albert Hall is stupendous and monumental.
When he walked out on stage, he looked at the venue, and it was evident in his eyes that he couldn’t believe he was there. He just stared up, in wonder, as if to say, “How do I get to play in this place?”
He is the culmination of Stevie Ray and Jimi Hendrix. And of Vai and Satriani. And of Sonny Boy Williamsons I and II. He is an amplified synthesis of all that came before, regarding guitar.

One more, the opening number, as if he was Rocky Balboa.
A triumphant piece. And why not, when he dreamed of this all his life?
Why not triumphant? He deserves it. And yet most proles don’t even know his name.
TV hasn’t told people his name.

Gee, Wooly, don’t forget the original Django, (Django Reinhardt). 😉
Cannot help but wonder how Joe B would sound if guitar were unplugged.
Interesting documentary about Gypsy Jazz…

Ugly night for many.
Maria was listed as a
Cat 2 just a few hours
ago. Not much warning,
regarding her ferocity.
High winds, much rain,
and surge will make a
mess of the Islands.
Time for prayers.
