    • Indeed.

Somehow I got the day off, and as I was walking out and getting on my bike, my buddy was leaving. The bartender. Him and his two daughters, age 10 and 12.

He convinced me to give them a tour of the town, I did. I had so much fun. I showed the girls the outdoor piano, and they both played it at once. Then I played and didn’t realize their dad was filming and putting it up on YouTube. Oh My. That’s a first.

Then we ate at a local restaurant, outdoors, with lots of games involving beanbags. Then we looked for an open fudge shop, first going through an alley with some interesting art installations. The kids discovered this one before we did, and all we heard at first before we caught up was, “Yup, it’s a boy!” and laughter. The younger girl thought he need a cup in front of him.

      http://imgur.com/pgrkr9A

After, we found a store that sold hackey sacks, and me and him are old pros, 20 years out of practice. We bought one and taught his girls how to play, and all the moves. Inside kick, outside kick, jester, stalls, hat-stalls, head-butts.

Then we had a wild adventure on the rooftops of the restaurant involving water balloons and one targeted server at about 11:00 PM.

One of the girls asked me later, when the whole kitchen was about to leave, “You got the night off! Why did you spend your time in here, where you work?”

I said, “Because this is where my friends are.”

Both girls, 10 and 12, have a buck each. Hunting, I mean. With guns. Their dad taught them well. I wish he wasn’t such a conservative atheist. He’s a good man.

        • It was the most fun day I’ve had in many years. Many years.

My buddy thinks he is going to die soon. He lives life to the fullest, as he did before he knew about his brain tumor. And he loves his kids, and taught them to always win, but to also always get each other to win. So much that he named each daughter’s middle name after each daughter’s first name.

The first thing he said when we walked into SH for our adventures, “Girls, I’m going to tell you a bit of truth about Wooly. (yes, you all know my name now), do you mind?” — looking at me. I nodded assent. “Do you remember that movie we watched where the kid killed himself on purpose? His brother did that when he was 18.” This guy had a completely, unbelievably f-ed up life. He was hanged by the neck with his dad’s belt. After he accidentally burned down the family home when he was very young. He’s about to die, he thinks.

And he thinks that I’m strong. And he wanted me to guide him. This guy knows how to fly planes. I know how to wash dishes and paint trim.

Wooly you are such a beautiful man. The embodiment of preaching without words. No atheist can argue from logic that there is not intelligence behind life. It is an impossible tenant and eventually intellectually honest atheists find themselves willfully betrothed to their myth or at the very least reluctant deists. Many become joyful christians.

Your friend is on the path beside you, give it time.

How the World’s Most Notorious Atheist Changed His Mind

        https://strangenotions.com/flew/

Antony Flew_ There were two factors in particular that were decisive. One was my growing empathy with the insight of Einstein and other noted scientists that there had to be an Intelligence behind the integrated complexity of the physical Universe. The second was my own insight that the integrated complexity of life itself—which is far more complex than the physical Universe—can only be explained in terms of an Intelligent Source. I believe that the origin of life and reproduction simply cannot be explained from a biological standpoint despite numerous efforts to do so. With every passing year, the more that was discovered about the richness and inherent intelligence of life, the less it seemed likely that a chemical soup could magically generate the genetic code. The difference between life and non-life, it became apparent to me, was ontological and not chemical. The best confirmation of this radical gulf is Richard Dawkins’ comical effort to argue in The God Delusion that the origin of life can be attributed to a “lucky chance.” If that’s the best argument you have, then the game is over. No, I did not hear a Voice. It was the evidence itself that led me to this conclusion.

What a magical day/evening for everyone. Water balloon surprise attack! What could be better? (The piano playing was outstanding, btw.)

        • No, Lburg. Nobody knows what I can really do with a piano, when nobody is watching.

My mom cried. She showed it to my dad and he did too. They haven’t heard me on a piano since I was maybe 15 years old.

It’s been a long, f’d up life, but I’ve played every piano I’ve encountered. While beat-boxing and singing. Nobody hears me but me and God, and maybe my neighbors.

Until yesterday, on a de-tuned saloon piano, riffing on some jazz chords (CM7, Dm7, Em7, FM7, all the white notes…). Now I’m on freakin’ YouTube.

          • I’ve seen that piano covered with giant snow drifts more than once. Someone is maintaining it, because the last time I played it, a few years ago, a few keys didn’t even work at all. Wood retains water and swells. Many internal parts of a piano are wooden. I did a face-palm wondering why they never tarped it in the wintertime, at least, or brought it inside, at best. Still, a public piano is always a good thing.

You’re right. I don’t know what you can do on a piano when no one is watching.

But for those among us (cough) who can only play the remnants of Fur Elise, chopsticks, and (by virtue of unrelenting grandchildren requests) a rousing version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, your mastery and obvious love of the instrument IS outstanding. It seemed to me that you weren’t just playing the piano and it was beautiful to see.

Exactly! This is no coincidence. The left went looking for a group to confront. I wouldn’t put it past Soros and his hard-left pals to insert an “undercover” worker or two who egged the crazies on to get a march started. And the set-up began. Having someone, purposefully or not, drive through the crowd was just icing on the cake.

Who owned Hollywood Empire? = Jewish people

Who owns the Media Empire? = Jewish people

      See any connection?

Is Soros a friend of Jewish people?

Why did the LEA leave BLM and ANTIFA
to roam the streets without permits and
any control of their violent behavior?

      Why were those who assembled
without a permit not arrested? Had
they not been there, one person
would be alive and several others
not in need of medical assistance.

Watch the video and notice the violence
toward vehicles leaving the area and the
resulting panic of the drivers. Two were
injured by fleeing vehicles before the
deadly accident seen on national TV.
Was the deadly accident the result of
panic as the vehicle was attacked?

A very bad situation, indeed; and

Soros was a Nazi collaborator during WWII, by his own admission. He said it was a great time in his life! He hates Israel.

As for contentions that Jews own the media, film production, etc…no one forced Gentiles to stay out of those businesses. Not many Christians in the film industry? There again, no one said Christians could not start companies of their own and create product both Christians and non-Christians would want to see. It wasn’t written anywhere that Conservatives couldn’t become leaders of the industry, from the early days even to present.

Stage and film were considered at one time to be just a 1/2 step behind prostitution as a profession. “Good” people didn’t enter such a business if they wanted to remain “pure.” Thus much of the business went to immigrants who wanted to make money and didn’t care what people thought of them. Samuel Goldwyn was a glove salesman, for goodness sake. Yet he saw a way to provide for family and took it.

Those who succeeded had courage, taking a chance that they might fail (and many did but didn’t let one failure stop them). From this example we all can learn.

It is incorrect and wrong to label “Jewish people” as the cause of ills. It might be so that there are some people who are Jewish who are rich and powerful and who support Democrats. There are even more people who are not Jewish who support Democrats, and plenty of Jewish people (I know them) who don’t support Democrats.

This is a bad road to follow, Impeach. Just say’n.

Also why was his Facebook, twitter and all social media accounts taken down before his name was released?

Also there was a closed Facebook group up and running yesterday that was entitled “James Alex Fields Jr. is an American Hero” odd thing is that it was started 3 months ago according to someone who joined it just to find out the date of when it was started. When I looked at the link (not the page itself) it had 995 members, 15 minutes later it had over another 400 members. Who knew Fields before yesterday? Why would he have an American Hero page?

This is all very curious at the very least.

Sorry Stella I know you dislike conspiracy theories but I just can’t round this peg to fit the narrative that is being pushed as truth. As I said I didn’t even know about the event until yesterday. Something stinks. I did see one skirmish and the Antifa filth definitely threw the first punch.

This is going to be used negatively against POTUS and the right and the alt-right when 99.9999% of us disavow this kind of violence and hate.

The people chanting “What do we want” “Dead Cops” “When do we want it now!” and “Pigs in a blanket, fry ’em up like bacon” the cop killers, the rioters who burn down neighborhoods, attack people wearing Trump logos, the Berkley domestic terrorists will never be tied by the MSM to Obama and the democrats. And they will never be soundly denounced by Obama or any democrat.

The Character of Men in the Last Days

3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate [1] concerning the faith. 9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

Morning and happy Sunday to you all! I’m pretty much back and want to make an apology to my friends here (you know who you are) for disappearing abruptly and any concern I may have caused you. I don’t imagine this post will hold any interest to the newer or newer/older posters.

As some of you may know, the clinic that I get my pain meds from made me abruptly quit taking my anti-anxiety meds early summer. I need the pain meds to allow me better functionality and mobility due to full spinal issues, and the other keeps me from experiencing a range of problems with my moods derived from my PTSD (panic and anxiety). Without my head meds I am extremely withdrawn and reclusive, without significant focus, depressed and completely unmotivated, finding little joy in life overall. I wouldn’t say I went off the rails, but it’s been a long couple months for me. My little prelude to a breakdown. Not a good place to be, and harder to squirm your way out of. I have two real life friends and one of them is my therapist; I am close to one of my brothers and his wife (she is also bi-polar). Some of you will remember that despite living just an hour away, I haven’t seen my granddaughters since January. It’s a small life, but I’m thankful they family know the balance between checking up on me and letting me do what I must to fight my way out of the wet paper bag. I would not hesitate to call my brother to take me to the hospital if I was in any danger, though. Prior to this confessional, I didn’t want to sound so negative as I felt so stopped participating here. That’s where my apology comes in; I didn’t mean to leave my friends here in the lurch or worrying about me, but I just couldn’t. I just didn’t have the energy to engage.

My 50-year class reunion came and that was an interesting day. In my prior life (pre-PTSD) I was extremely social and was always the most entertaining person in the room because I so enjoyed making people laugh – nothing like I am now. I really wanted to go to the CR, but the time leading up to it was hell; I had panic attacks when I decided to go, and then five minutes after I’d changed my mind and decided to stay home I’d have another panic attack. I mean, WTH???

While I’m on the brighter side again, I’m never quite out of the woods and am still compensating for not having one of two of my most important medications. Some of the obvious things help – exercise, yoga, relaxation exercises, etc help, as does prayer, of course. Above a certain threshold, I have therapeutic artistic endeavors, too. The most important thing seems to be sleep, which I get via a night time med, without which I could be wide awake until I was just exhausted. A joy of joys, at my pain clinic visit last week, the PA told me she was going to let me stay on my night time (and mood stabilizing) Doxepin FOR NOW. Basically, it seems that I may have to make a choice between functioning and functioning in the future. Damn the DEA and the war on opiods.

I know I’m not the only person who struggles like this, and would not make this confessional were it not for the fact that this community, Stella’s place, IS my social life and my friends here are important to me. When I contacted Stella, she was supportive, encouraging and suggested I might reach out to you for uplifting prayer, which I do ask now, if you are of that nature. I couldn’t NOT let you know why, after participating for so long, I suddenly dropped off the face of the earth, now that I’m strong enough to come back, if you will have me. As I said, I know I’m not the only one with problems, even problems of this nature. Like my class reunion, both staying away and coming back were stressful before now, as well.

This might be overkill for readers here that don’t know me (even to some here that do), and again I apologize for that. It’s also MUCH more information than I would normally allow strangers to know about me, but I think my friends here deserve to know. The mask is a lot of weight to carry – sometimes it’s more weighty than others.

Thanks for listening. More coffee, please…

You did not share inappropriately at all. You chose where to share and shared honestly, accepting any inherent risk there might be.

Masks are a weight that are difficult to evaluate – what to do with them – when to do it – if to do it. What is the cost of leaving it on, taking it off. Sometimes necessary for survival but we try not to make them a permanent part of life.

I’ve been ‘there’ repeatedly over the decades and know well the high value of those who are willing to simply be present – without trying to fix things or take over.

      Hi Puzzler,

Stella’s is a unique community. It is warm. We are friends. This is the only community I told about my husbands suicide. Everyone who responded was very kind. A light in the darkness.

I take a strong sleeping pill every night which grants me about 5 – 6 hours sleep, without it my mind would race and I would get maybe an hour of restless sleep. Sometimes it is just the way our DNA is put together.

I have missed you and you have been in my prayers.

Even a wet paper bag has sunlight on it even when we can’t see or feel it and no matter how wet it is eventually the sun dries it out for some reprieve.

      🙏🏼

      ❤️

      Dearest Patternpuzzler,
There are probably a lot more of us here in the same boat as you than any of us know! I’ve been off my meds for 3 years now. It’s still hard at times, the pain just never goes away! I understand how they are trying to control all of the drug addicts who are so stupidly making it impossible for many of us to live normally, but you’d think there would be some way to fix this problem.
Anyway, I’m praying for you, and hope you find peace somehow. I’m glad your back!

Dear Puzzler, while I may be on Nyet’s breakfast bulletin, I’m a relative newbie here. No, you did not share too much – and I sincerely hope you’re lighter now.

My biggest takeaway from your heartfelt post was your immense courage and strength. No apologies necessary for courage and strength!

I’m relatively new around here but definitely appreciate your unmasking of your soul a bit here. As a mom of a very complex special needs son I have spent the better part of the past two decades in near isolation, apart from my immediate family & various church &/or school responsibilities. Life if hard & walking the path (seemingly) alone can be excruciating.

May the Lord continue to provide for your needs, mentally, physically, relationally, emotionally, & spiritually. The Lord is truly that “friend that sticks closer than a brother” & the one who left us these words of wisdom, “though my father & mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me” and “nothing can separate us from his love.”

Wishing/praying for your continued recovery & walking that path one small step at a time, stopping to rest & even crawl, as needed, along the way. In Christ, Valerie

By the way, I believe you’ve been a guest poster here at Stellas or at Conservative TreeHouse, & I’ve appreciated your This day in History insights!

Thanks for taking the risk to put yourself & your challenges out there…Blessings!

Czar, misstated yesterday, rear tractor tires are fill with a light petroleum mix. That’s what the dealer has to work on the tires. Problem is the front steering tire. Slow leak due too front tire not mounted properly. I think it’s the operator. Tractor has power steering, 100lb weight bar in the front, combine weight for rear is 500lbs, sometimes cut the corners to close…….. up and operating now.

    From Clarice Feldman:

From a friend who says this account is from a long time reliable source: A close friend lives in Charlottesville, was out and about yesterday tending to personal business and saw a portion of the events. In a note to me this morning he said; “What a circus. Not surprised in the slightest but it’s criminal the way the media is reporting this. The “counter protestors” outnumbered the “demonstrators” by about 20-1, the police funneled the demonstrators right through the middle of the counters, with no protection and the sides just inches away from each other. Quel surprise that violence broke out. Honestly I think the politicians here and the cops wanted it to happen.”

    Check this out:

Asked about the brawling and why police did not do more to control it, Brian Moran, Virginia’s secretary of public safety, said in an interview on Sunday that “it was a volatile situation and it’s unfortunate people resorted to violence.’’ But, he said, “From our plan, to ensure the safety of our citizens and property, it went extremely well.’’

Governor McAuliffe also defended the police response, saying, “It’s easy to criticize, but I can tell you this, 80 percent of the people here had semiautomatic weapons.

“You saw the militia walking down the street, you would have thought they were an army,” he added. “I was just talking to the State Police upstairs; they had better equipment than our State Police had,” he said, referring to the militia members. “And yet not a shot was fired, zero property damage.”

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen

New video (to me anyhow) a competent attorney with a fair jury and judge could easily get James Fields off of any charges. His car was struck very hard from behind with what is likely a bat. He panicked. The crowd also attacked his car after he plowed through them. This is exactly what he told officers happened when he was first taken into custody, he was in fear for his life. The person who hit Fields’ car in the rear is the first cause, this person caused the death of Heather Heyer and the physical harm of the other people. I hope he is crowd sourced, found and brought to justice. No one is obligated to be Reginald Denny. No one.

Every have something hit your car? I can only imagine how loud that first hit/bang must have been. And it is obvious how hostile the crowd was acting.

The police have to stop following stand down orders and start policing. Police doing their job could have also prevented this. Arrest the Antifa punks who were unlawfully assembling in the streets. Arrest the Antifa who were attacking people. Charge them. Don’t ignore people who are peacefully assembling and have a permit and are being attacked. Anyone acting outside of the law should be met with swift justice at any and all rallies.

        His former teacher;
He said those views, combined with Fields’ history of being prescribed antipsychotic medication, may have been a “perfect storm.”

Antipsychotic drugs, fascination with an extreme ideology, loner, obsessive thoughts, gentle, quiet, distant from his mother who claims to not even really know what his views are, allegedly dismissed or disallowed from joining the military do to mental health history, flat affect, and the men he was standing with in the picture seem to genuinely not know who he was from what I’ve read they said. I’m thinking this cat is suffering from some severe form of mental illness that rears its ugly head just about around now in young men’s lives.

I thought the same with Mike Brown who was suddenly preaching about Jesus to everyone and anyone, a very common manifestation of schizophrenia.

I’m not really making a guess on either young man just making a general observation on the a common path and pattern of the disorder.

If I was investigating this whole mess I would take a very good long look at the chap dressed all in gray who comes into the screen at the 38 second mark he has a very similar appearance and clothing to the guy who first hit Fields’ car which set the chain of events into motion. He is also walking toward the car rather than running. coming in with a different mind set than his fellow pack.

Thomas Wictor said that Fields confessed but the link that he added to his tweet leads to nowhere. I have not heard that Fields confessed to the act on a “whim” anywhere else and tend to doubt it.

“Oh work is busy! Everywhere we went people talked about jobs picking up in their towns. Many trains running filled with trackers and army trucks and steel beams. Donald Trump!” And…

“The news the stations says is so so negative! What an eye opener this trip was to me.”
