Stefan Molyneux and Ezra Levant, a conservative Canadian free speech/human rights advocate, have a meandering conversation re the Christian genocide in Muslim countries, specifically Iraq. It’s long but very informative. Obviously this dire situation is not being covered by the fake news old media.

NOLA city works is saying that despite their saying yesterday that all of the city’s many drainage pumps were working says today that about 10% were offline for maintenance. Also being pointed out was that drainage ports and catch basins in front of businesses and homes were, in many cases, blocked. Well now, there is a moral obligation for property owners to grab a bag and shovel and clean the catch basin in front of their properties but being New Orleans that ‘moral’ thingie is fungible and the city’s ethic is ‘let someone else do it’. My block cleaned them, even other’s if they couldn’t/wouldn’t and we never had a backup, even when we had the over-twenty-inches-in-24-hours event.

City also doesn’t enforce laws preventing property owners and lawn services from blowing cutting debris into the streets where they’re flushed into the drains. Oh yeah, garbage from trash pickup and the garbage many residents genetically dump into/onto the streets too, hence the on and off designation of the city being ‘America’s dirtiest city’.

Here’s one for the special snowflakes.

They had their turn at bat and not one

Perhaps this will dry their eyes and
realize, that unlike they, we do not
seek their extinction. We share a

I’ve known Iranians who hated the Ayatollahs and were able to get out of that hateful nation. They were Christians of Armenian descent who came to Iran before the fall of the Shah (whose outster is thanks to Jimmy Carter), only to get caught up in a regime every bit as horrible as the Soviet regime they escaped.

That these Christian Iranians are now being persecuted in America is despicable….

    “Subject: Something..and somewhere

Here is the lyrics to that [Phil] Keagy song I was tellng you about…

Take my picture, steal my soul

Put me somewhere, where You’re in control

    Call me something ..you understand

But you cannot never doubt a journeyman

I’m neither this nor that, I’m not here nor there

I’m in between something… something.. and somewhere

Well I would like to say everything works just one way

    and I’m sorry ..but I can’t..

Guess all the answers, are not in my command

So I’ll fly with what I know, but step lightly where I land

I’m neither this nor that, I’m not here nor there

I’m in between something… something.. and somewhere

A pilgrim in progress, A wish that’s on the way, Hidden for the moment, But this is where I am today..[VC note, this line was in large letters]

I’m neither this nor that, I’m not here nor there

I’m in between something… something.. and somewhere

Great song.. describes me..even us just a bit..

Update on racer, he had his first surgery today, doctor said he did well, vitals all stayed good without medication. They cleaned, scraped and all that. He”s not out of the woods yet and is still in critical but stable condition. The racing community is pulling together and there are several different fundraisers happening. His next surgery is Wednesday.
Lovely, I talked to the family today while we were waiting for him to come out of surgery and the hospital has a hospitality building where they can stay and/or shower. His daughter and parents aren’t ready to leave the hospital though. I learned more about his childhood today and see he”s like many of these guys and gals and was born with racing in their blood. I asked his daughter today if she would climb back into a car and without hesitation she said she would.

I am new to this racing world, but have came to love it . my daughter married a racer who I love as a son. He rolled his car this year and about gave me a heart attack. He was racing two different classes of cars at the time and went and climbed in the other car for the next race. I asked him if he was sure he wanted to do that and he looked at me like I had grown two heads and told me that was a soft roll.I told him after this I would continue to support him because I know how much he loves it, but for awhile I will be a nervous wreck.

Yep it is like serious Harley riders if they survive they ride. I believe it is Willie Davidson who severely damaged his leg in a bike accident so now he rides a 3 wheeler. He is 84 years old.

I know some bikers come home and say “Ok” “I won, I’ve seen enough” then they literally lay their bike down and never ride again. I wonder if it is the same for some race car drivers.

I hope your young friend continues to heal.

I’m sure some do. I am sure some though never lose the yearning. I know for awhile our racer quit racing because he couldn’t afford to do it, then when he got into position to afford it twas too far to get to the nearest Sprint track on time when he got home from work. Our local track is stock and modified cars and he could hear the cars every weekend and finally told my daughter it was killing him hearing the cars. She told him he could race if he wanted. At first he wasn’t sure about racing something different, but it lasted about a week before he started looking for a car. Now my grandson wants a sprint car. I am not looking forward to that and keep hoping he’ll outgrow it, but he keeps asking more often instead of less often. Even at two he has it all figured out, he will have a green car with daddy’s number and sister will have a pink car with daddy’s number. When we tell him sister might not want to race, he tells us she told him she wants to and she wants a pink Sprint car. Lol.
He’s a mess. We saw a newborn at the hospital yesterday, two nurses wheeled the baby into the elevator with us. He asked me what that was and I told him a baby, then they got off and he asked where they were taking him. I told him to his mama and he said to his mama and I told him no to the baby’s mama and then he said he didn’t want it going to mommy, cause mommy says her don’t want a bunch of babies.

I hope he continues to improve as well, but it will be a long road to recovery. He now has pneumonia, but they say that is common with burn patients, especially when they have a breathing tube. They said he will be kept sedated for a week and he will remain in the hospital for at least a month.
It is hard on the family to accept help, they said they were grateful, but it makes them uncomfortable and they aren’t sure how their dad will feel about it. We told them to accept it because they will need it and people want to help.

            • This might be too soon, but there is a book called “Love Greg & Lauren” (I believe) about the recovery of a burn victim/patient who was severely burned in the 9/11 attacks. It is mostly a series of emails Greg sent out to family & friends about his wife Lauren’s situation. I found it quite inspiring as a parent of a child with complex medical needs & also because it allowed me as an outsider to have an inside look at one family’s journey to healing following that brutal terroristic assault on our nation.

May the Lord continue to pour out His healing mercies, grace, comfort, peace, & joy (in the midst of sorrows) for all involved with the racer. Blessings

He has taken a turn for the worse, they say it’s all part of the process and not something they can’t deal with. Some of it because of the burns and they did discover he had fractures after saying scans didn’t show any and medication to keep him paralyzed and the ventilator. His lungs have more fluid, kidneys not working as well as they could and they had to remove muscle that was dying and blocking blood flow.

There are many people that read & pray for others using that forum. Quite a few of them let me know that they were praying for my son during his recent surgery…and many of them are also on the StellasPlace page.

Each St. Vincent group is the governed by the same sett of rules but each group also has a lot of autonomy. We helped one family by sitting with their daughter who needed a feeding tube (4 years old) while the mom sat in the Neonatal care center with their newborn premature infant. This went on for a couple of months, we organized mess for the family. So it is a resource for them now, while they are there and when they get home, as to not knowing how they’ll accept help from strangers or how he himself would feel about it, tell him they can pay it forward or accept it as a gracious gift of God’s love. I do understand the hesitancy to accept help, but all of this is beyond their control, they aren’t asking and this is why God made more than one person.

              Christ Has No Body
              By St. Teresa of Avila

              Christ has no body now on earth but yours, No hands but yours, No feet but yours, Yours are the eyes through which is to look out Christ’s compassion to the world;
Yours are the feet with which he is to go about doing good; Yours are the hands with which he is to bless men now.

They are only accepting Christ’s hand. There is no shame in that.

I think they’re cut from the same cloth I am, so I kind of understand how hard it is and although it’s a great thing I think they’re a little overwhelmed with how many are trying to help. There are good people in the racing world, racers across the country are donating winnings, panels to be auctioned off, plus motor parts, car parts, tools, you name it.
Today has been a rough day for them, because it’s been a bad day for him. From what I’ve been reading the third day is always the worst day. His lungs have filled with fluid, which they say is common because he’s sedated and has been given medicine to keep him basically paralyzed and breathing for him. He had to be given blood, I never knew burn patients needed blood. He had to have dying muscle removed from his arm. The 72 hour mark is about up, I am hoping and praying he will be on the uphill side now. I know he has a long way to go, but it just seems today was a very downhill day.
One blessing to come out of this is tracks are looking at what they can do better. I have seen several say at a minimum now track workers will be in firesuits. Racers are taking safety equipment more seriously. So hopefully they will be buying the highest rating suits, shoes, gloves, etc they can buy. I have saw many of them who will race in bluejeans and regular shoes and wear mechanic gloves, the only thing they will wear is the fire jacket because that is all the track can see once they’re in the car.

If someone replies and I don’t reply back it’s because I am on my phone and I miss some or the stupid thing won’t let me.

For the faithful Moslem, there are five prayer obligations per day: Fajr at sunrise; Zuhr at noon; Asr at shortly before sunset; Maghrib at sunset; and Isha at night.

Today I did a bit of research on their prayer rituals and came up with some questions. Not wishing to give their websites any traffic, I don’t know if they would have the answers, but sincerely doubt it.

If you are a Moslem in the U.S. military stationed in Afghanistan, do you get time off from killing the enemy at all prayer times during the day? Or do you get to bunch the approximate one hour’s worth of daily prayers into one prayer time before you sack out?

How do they purify themselves (via ritual water washing called “Wudu” meaning “ablution”) before praying? Do they carry portable Wudu units around with them? BTW, passing gas negates the ablution and you have to start all over again!

Do the men also haul their prayer rugs around when on a mission?

This photo shows a formal Wudu station located on the Jewish Temple site in Jerusalem… https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5d/TM_washing.JPG/1024px-TM_washing.JPG . Somehow I don’t think they have such installations at the various outposts or inside the wire at the large camps.

I do know they get special food in jails, and even in prison are able to observe Ramadan. In the same prisons Catholic priests have limited access to provide mass and the Sacraments to Catholic inmates.

I’m not making any statements about what a prisoner is entitled to. I have no knowledge of how they operate, and how difficult it is to provide access to priests, rabbis, ministers, or imams. But I am damned sure saying that Muslims get special treatment and shouldn’t.

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen
