why pilots only like to fly the C-130 and why the loadmaster only likes to open the back hatch and why neither of them care that there is no toilet for the troops because they are sorta cargo over the targets…for not jumpers that are just transports the joke is always that the first guy in the seats that uses the bucket has to empty it when they land ….once the first guy goes…EVERYONE mobs the bucket to fill it totally so the job is going to be gross for the small sphinctered grunt. Texas Hold Em isn’t just a card game.

Uh huh, loadmasters wears a hatness and strap do he doesn’t fall out though the jumpmaster’s in charge of the sticks. 130s weren’t designed for long flights so portapotties were not included…I learned not to eat before jumping (carried hard candies) and limited drinking. Standing on a flight line wearing over 100 pounds of equipment and a T-10 assembly, waiting for the AF to finish coffee and donuts and deliver the plane, sweats a lotta spared liquid outta ya.
C-141 had a ‘comfort pallet’ that included a potty that was loaded onto the plane and strapped down. We had an Engineer company that was dupposed to leave Charleston for Germany, non-stop, and when we boarded there was no pallet. Colonel I was with was upset but didn’t know what to do. Being prior AF I said he should call the Command Post, tell them he’s Colonel ‘X’ and he’s pissed there’s no pallet on the plane. He was unsure und. Of his power as our unit had 13 full-colonels and they tripped over each other, the AF uses colonels as base commanders. Sure enough, profuse apologies and a squad of ramp tramps delivered a pallet with potty, drinks and snax. When dealing with the AF it’s always handy to have a spare Colonel around.

When the base’s runway was completed we started receiving commercial 707s and that opened up a whole new world. Pilots and crew would deliver cargo but also delivered things like cakes, bread and ice cream fresh from Hawaii where they generally stopped for refueling. They’d trade for ‘souveniers’ ..what we had for what they got.

In 1980, my oldest son was enrolled in day care at the local college where I was attending classes. Without my knowledge, not that I would have stopped it because I was very young and very inexperienced in the trials of motherhood, they tested him with some kind of sweeping assessment. He was three years old.

One day when I came in to pick him up, the teacher sat me down and went over the results. They told me that he had, not a low IQ, it wasn’t an IQ test, but low potential to ever achieve, that he needed a rigid structure to learn, like a military academy, and that he would need additional testing and extensive intervention.

If I had known then what I know now, I’d have home schooled him. I was devastated and terrorized. My husband, on the other hand, said they were a bunch of monkeys trying to justify their jobs, and that no one but God could see into a little three year old and predict the future.

It was hell getting him through school, only a little amount due to the fact that he was diagnosed as ADHD, and a huge amount because no teacher wanted a kid like him in the class. They wanted twenty little robots who never talked or moved.

He is today one of the finest men I have ever met, and I am very proud of him.

Turned out to be a terrific young adult, was able to finish college at a very excellent university in 3 and a half years while also holding down a part time IT job and producing an independent movie on his own via crowdfunding.

I remember back in high school someone saying “She’s pretty for a fat girl” about a classmate. I thought it was a very hateful statement, and said so. “She’s very pretty, and fat had nothing to do with it”, I said. It breaks my heart how some people can say such horrible things. I was actually called a “Four-eyed, red-haired, freckle-faced strawberry” once. I think I was only 8! I thought it was funny, but it was meant to hurt. Kids, and sometimes adults, can be so cruel.

We all knew what she meant by the comment.

One day she said it one time too many and I said “Hmm, the silhouette of your face reminds me of Penelope Pig, I mean that in a very positive way.”

The look on her face was priceless but she never made her comment again.

THIS is the TALK that is holding these people of color back. When you tell someone they are a victim when they are young, they usually believe it the rest of their life. I remember a black woman complaining loudly that little black girls were told they were not as pretty as white girls or as valuable. WELL, WHO was telling these little black girls that? I was feeling down in the dumps Saturday and forced myself to go to the neighborhood pool for some exercise – springboard diving and laps.
Just went through the motions and didn’t interact with people much, except to repeat a particular dive (half gainer jack knife) at a stranger’s request because he missed it the first time and his friend told him what he’d missed.
After rinsing off at the pool shower as I was leaving, a black young man about 15 that I don’t recall ever seeing before, nearly as tall as me, but with a much heavier build, says to me, “Sir?”
      “Yes?”
“I must tell you that your diving today was most impressive.”
“Thank you. That totally makes my day.”
      The kid’s being raised right.
I feel bad that, being down and having my mind set on going home, I just smiled a little at him and walked away without introducing myself and getting to know him a bit.
Hopefully I’ll see him again another time. There are a few regulars, but most are always strangers.

This is satire. I got a really laugh out of it. Very close to what the Dems are actually saying now. LOL
“The Peoples Cube: Trump Threatens Millions of Senators With Imminent Death”

If Trump makes good on this threat, women and minorities will be hardest hit according to a report by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office. CBO accountant, Fred “Nonpartisan” Phelps commented, “Our figures estimate that if Trump follows through with this extreme proposal, 1.5 million senators will die every minute. That’s 2,160,000,000 senators each day. The first to go will be women and minority Democrats, along with moderate transgender Republicans. The math is positively chilling.” Congresswoman Maxine Waters agreed. “What he said,” she said.
…..Once run through the STD, we get the actual Schumer quote, “If the president refuses to cave like a good Republican, and cuts off the low insurance rates we legislated for ourselves, every member of my staff agrees that premiums will go up for them and I will actually have to pay for my own health care as if I was one of the little people! This is outrageous! I am a senator! I am your god! The president ought to acknowledge our superior status, do as he’s told, and finally begin acting like sniveling Republicans have for decades.”

As reported by Western Journalism, Trump’s top spiritual adviser, Pastor Paula White, said that the president has “heart for God, a hunger for God.”

White said that the president “has a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We’ve had in-depth conversations about God.”

This is amazing, and not surprising. I remember during the campaign for POTUS, early on when he tweeted or spoke something at a speech about the Bible, and came off, to those of us who have more than a passing familiarity with the Bible, as ignorant, and he was excoriated for it by the other Republican candidates’ fans.

So what does Trump do? He seeks more knowledge about the Bible. Of course he does, because he is intelligent and humble, and knows that he doesn’t know it all. Unlike most people in Establishment Washington for the last few decades, especially our last two Democratic Presidents.

I always prayed, in the last 8 years, probably in vain, that Obama would wake up. That he would have a “burning bush” moment when his eyes were both blinded and opened like Saul of Tarsus. That he would see what was done to him, that he was a puppet, that he was conceived of before he was even biologically conceived, by commies who wanted to make a perfect candidate, like they were Gods themselves. Somehow, in Indonesia and in Hawaii, he was trained to never see it, and trained well. Maybe in his dotage he will. I still pray for that awakening in Obama. “OMG, I was a carefully-trained puppet, before I was even in Stanley Ann’s womb, and every day thereafter! I repent!”

I can pray for that. I don’t need to pray for that with Trump, though I do, because he seeks to know himself, and to know God, and to know his enemies. Trump has read Sun Tzu, I’m guessing.

I spent 2 hours on Saturday talking to a woman who told me that she is nothing but a “Hood nigger” even if she is different than most niggers (her words not mine) because she is not a loose ho or dependent on the government. She was married had two babies and her husband passed away suddenly and tragically. She has been with her current boyfriend for 12 years. She has been employed almost since her husband died. Limited eduction limited income.

She has worked at jobs and done good work but doesn’t think she has a chance at advancement in companies. She still believes because of her conditioning by the democrats that they are the answer and it is the white man’s racism that is keeping her down.

Two hours of back and forth. Two hours of a light and a new healthy fury turning on in her eyes. Two hours of getting her to see herself as something other than she has defined herself. Her two children are young adults, in school and employed. One doesn’t even date because she wants to escape the hood.

I held a mirror on her life and demanded that she look at it. She is not where she needs to be yet but she does see herself in a new light, she does see that the very people who trained her to refer to herself as a “hood nigger” are the one’s who are her true enemies.

    Hope is a beautiful thing.

Anyhow this race baiting BS the P&G commercial has me particularly teed off today because I just saw it’s devastating affects on the life of a woman who has every right to feel good about herself rather feel like the world is stacked against her because of the color of her skin.

Victim mentality is a toxically deep rooted poison.

I know that it is a process and I will work through it but it is the unrelenting assault against the dignity of humanity that has me feeling like sure it matters to the one one starfish but there are millions of starfish and their numbers are growing every day.

        • “Being the light” Matt. 5:14-16 is what we are called to do. You were that light for the lady you spoke to. Changing hearts and minds is hard, especially when the negative mindset was instilled at a very young age. Maybe you’ve freed this woman from the mental prison that she’s been in her whole life and who knows… it could have a domino effect and help her whole family. 😊

This is so true, lovely, and not just for blacks. A person can only accomplish what he believes can be accomplished. It applies to each of us.

I was a single working mother who lived in rented premises for years because I didn’t think I would ever be able to buy a house. When my own daughter and her husband bought their home, I started to believe that I could possibly do it too. Once I had a different attitude, I found a way to get it done. I was in my fifties.

      It is never too late.

        Exactly.

In his book Open Andre Agassi said “Many games are won or lost in the shower room, long before you step a foot on the court.”

Agassi had tremendous conditioning to overcome due to his father being a complete idiot.

That’s the spirit! I have found that writing a goal &putting it where I see it every day, setting short term objectives, adjusting dates as needed will get me there. I find I can get most anything done (or get through bad things) if I see myself at the goal. Sometimes I have to break the objectives into very small parts like a few hours or days if that part of the task is awful or I get overwhelmed. Of course it helps that I have accomplished most tasks I have used this method on. Some people can’t seem to get a first success….
Ann Landers had a reader who wrote he wanted to be a doctor but it would take 4 years & he would be 40 years old by then. She said he would be 40 in 4 years whether he did it or not, so he might as well get working on it.

The voice of reason. I’m sure CNN will feature Edie Dixon on one of their shows. Not.

Transgender: We’re ‘Medically Reliant’ Like Diabetics, Asthmatics; ‘Should Be Disqualified’ from Military

Reacting to President Trump’s announcement preventing transgender people in the military, Edie Dixon, a transgender man who identifies as a woman, told the Blaze on July 27 that he agrees with the president’s decision, saying that transgenders are “no better” than diabetics or asthmatics, and “should be disqualified” from the military.

My son turns 22 today in the Philippines. He turned 18, 20, and 21 there, too.
He’s at 3:08 in this video he created of his 2015 trip to the “Arms of Love” orphanage, where he is now.

As they give our good president the slow poison. He fell to the snake he knew was there. The practice is prohibited by the laws of nature, which does not allow us to multiply the evil of war beyond all bounds. As if there are rules to still be followed. Ulzana was more honorable than these who we face now. The magnitude of this danger is high and by the character and behavior of our enemy drastic action is called for. The sovereigns agree to secure their own persons, we the people, are expendable. Who is this sovereign against whom we fight?

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen
