    I want to ask for prayers for my DIL who is due to deliver my new grandchild any time now and I believe is overdue a little bit. She is in good health and has had a very healthy pregnancy, but I figure a few extra prayers never hurt.

    And, maybe you could spare one for my little doggie. I took her in to get her teeth cleaned this morning and of course, they have to put her under to do it. They are going to pull the rest of her canines, too. I am just concerned about it for some reason. Thanks.

      birth is always a miracle with our Lord looking over the deal….and doggies are tougher than most of us owners….had my dachs girls teeth done last year, and lost several…but in the end, she came out healthier and happier and full of play and romp….had not been that perky in years….teeth and gums are a big health deal in doggies…and none like to be brushed everyday either….and EXPENSIVE what with having an anesthesiologist part of the team….wow. Prayers for all in your life today and going forward aus.

        Thank you. My doggie is 11 years old. She was adopted when she was 4 from a no-kill shelter. Her human mom had died and somebody took her and her sister to the pound who immediately called the shelter because they knew they could adopt them out. They were not very socialized, though. Anyway, she had already lost some of her teeth and I had to have a couple pulled back then. At least she should keep her molars. Otherwise, she is in excellent health.

          my girl is also a rescue….but she is safe now, and could not be more adored or loved in our family. it is tough to overcome the history on some of these sweet and mistreated or lost doggies…and losing a loved master is terrible on them….thank you for loving your lady doggie. she gets double prayers for me.

            I’ve kinda been lost without her this morning. I am used to checking where she is before I take a step because she is always right at my feet. Funny thing is she is so cute but so protective of me and acts like she is going to chew anybody’s leg off that gets near me. People’s response to that is, “Aw, but she’s so cute.” I tried to break her of that, but have had no success.

              that is her way of communicating since English is not likely her strong language. So much of what we try to break our dogs of doing is actually just their way of informing us of their stress, their confusion, or their need for understanding how to make us happy and to protect us….I have missed a lot of my doggies messages over the years, which prompted me to read some internet stuff about what dogs are trying to tell us with their actions and mannerisms….I now have a second rescue that was abandoned last Memorial Day at a filling station where I was gassing up to come home from the lakehouse….he was tiny, about 5 weeks old….and they had no clue what to do…so I loaded him up and brought him home…..he got bigger…had him DNA tested….turned out to be an Austrialian Cattledog…smart as a whip, but full of energy and vigor like I have never seen before. But we make all our doggies into lap dogs and they sleep either in bed with us, or in the room at least at night. What the heck….at least I don’t have to send them to college or pay for a wedding….just vet bills.

      Why hide it? Because Halal is brutal to the animals that it kills. I mean, any animal that is going to be butchered is going to be used for food, but you don’t have to be cruel in killing them. I have the misfortune to have learned about halal butchering once. Once was more then enough. And then you have the funding of sharia. Hmm…how many of those dollars go to ISIS? The Muslim Brotherhood?

      The only mystery here is why these companies continue to give in these halal- labellers as opposed to telling them to go pound sand. These Muslim groups only have the power they’re given.

    I have been wondering why we don’t hear from PETA about the ritual muslim killing of animals called Halal. I just went on to PETA’s website and they are addressing the subject. One of the comments that that caught my eye in the comments is the lie told by muslims that halal killing does not cause the animal pain. 🙄

    I don’t know if anyone here has heard of it, but there is a sort of dog flu going around and it is pretty dangerous, I gather. It isn’t in our area in Central Florida yet, but you might want to check with your vets and see if you need to get vaccine for it. There is one. Funny that the vaccine is available for a new flu. Hm.
