When I was in seventh grade my teacher took us to D.C. The bell was visiting there and I got to see it. Even to a kid, it was very moving. Of course, my teacher was then, as others had before her, instilling a great sense of patriotism in us.
They used to do that, back in the dinosaur days. They also used to teach. And whack kids who disrespected them or disrupted class upside the head.

Good morning, Stellars. Sunrise.
I stayed up all night. I hope I don’t crash my bike.

I did. I have a bloody knee. I got some good photos of the sunrise over South Haven along the Black River. I fell over twice.
I uploaded them to Photobucket, which is still utterly broken beyond use.
http://downdetector.com/status/photobucket
Great photos, too. Looking for another photo hosting service, on thursday, when I get a day off.
I actually rode down to the very end of the pier to take sunrise photos for you people.
Drunk, on a bicycle. Took about 15. But photobucket is absolutely broken, on Chrome, PaleMoon, Firefox, MS Edge, and every other browser I have.
Anyone know a good alternative to PhotoBucket?

I use Flickr, which is a basic photo site. You can make photos public or private there. I also use DeviantArt, which is an art hosting site. You can’t make your pictures private but you can watermark them.

I just wonder if PB will ever be fixed. I have hundreds of photos on there, dating back almost a decade. I can’t use it. It’s all text.
If it ever does work again, I’m going to save all the images to my own drive, and find a new host. I should have been using an external drive all these years, I suppose, and saving the photos locally, too. All the advice I give businesses about not relying on “the cloud”, I’ve ignored myself.
See here:

The comments from the last week are so are enlightening, and frustrating.
Apparently it’s not just me. Photobucket really is broken.

I used to have two PB accounts. A few months ago I downloaded all of my photos and closed the accounts.

In a rare departure from his socialist agenda Pope Francis sides with Charlie’s parents.
Charlie Gard: Pope shows solidarity with parents of critically ill 10-month-old
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/jul/02/pope-shows-solidarity-with-charlie-gards-parents
Pope Francis is calling for the parents of critically ill baby, Charlie Gard, to be allowed to do everything possible to treat their child.
Some of the other wording is a bit nebulous but I’m going to give Pope Francis the benefit of the doubt on this one.

The problem I have with videos like this:
There is no thesis presented. Not even an “abstract” summation of “here’s what I think happened”.
Even by the time you reach the end of the video, you still don’t know exactly what the author is actually trying to say. You leave saying, “Oh. Different contrails in the sky over CT that day. And?”
There is no “And” to these videos. There is amorphous make-you-think conspiracy crap and there is Sundance. This is the former, because he makes NO POINT WHATSOEVER. No summation of what the author believes happened.
“I believe that the Sandy Hook event was all actors hired by the deep state.” — Me.
“Here, look at a lot of weird, esoteric, holistic crap, that I spent lots of time researching and…” — the guy who made that video.
What’s he trying to say? He doesn’t say. Most who make conspiracy videos like this don’t ever get to the point of what they’re trying to say. Why?
At least Sundance had something to say, for instance, regarding Mike Brown’s shooting by Darren Wilson. “A few folks on a grassy knoll came up with a story — hands up, don’t shoot, after a ‘tussle’ and they all used the same words in the courtroom, yet nobody else cordoned away from these few used any of those words — and it was completely obvious to the entire jury, and this was all done to advance a Marxist class-war agenda by the deep state.”
The guy who made this video is saying NOTHING. He wasted hours of his time and ours, for NOTHING.

I had the same feeling. I got turned off to it in the first 3 minutes. Then quit. I really didn’t understand what the courtroom testimony was all about.

Problem I have is Youtube deciding what is ‘real’ and what I should see. Just because someone might believe them or be emotionally pinged by them is no reason to block them. After all, no obe’s making anyone click on the ‘play’ button.
We also gave Youtube being owned by Google, a company not known for squirting the milk of human kindness throughout the land. They give the NSA a run for its money when it comes to violating folk’s privacy and choice.

Trump’s High-Stakes Tweeting
By Victor Davis Hanson| July 2, 2017
Trump, in comic-book fashion, tweets his body slam of CNN; the socialist Bernie Sanders’ wife stands accused of evicting the disabled in what looks to be a real-estate scam by a failed college president. Trump goes after individual washed-up celebrities; Obama indicted an entire people for being lazy, clinging to their guns and religion, intolerant, nativist, and unnecessarily chauvinistic. Take your poison: personal score-settling or mellifluent contempt.
Factored into the Trump’s tweeting controversies are other variables mostly left unsaid by the media:
Trump has melted down partisan journalists and left the American progressive media in shambles. It was Obama, not Trump, who established the practice of going after journalists by name, both materially and rhetorically, from surveilling Fox’s James Rosen to using puerile hype to attack Sean Hannity (“You know, I’ll put—I’ll put Mr. Burgess up against Sean Hannity. He’ll tear him up.” [emphasis added]). Obama was angry that a few reporters did not join the cult of Obama worship; Trump is peeved almost no one in the press is disinterested. Trump saw Obama’s precedent, and proverbially trumped it.
… and lots more.

9 WTF Stories of LBJ’s Obsession with His Presidential Privates
President Lyndon B. Johnson had a massive ego. His famous initials, for example, were monogrammed on his belt buckles, shirts, and gold cufflinks he wore while in office, and he brazenly grazed those cufflinks up the skirts and against the thighs of an untold number of mistresses, all while the long-suffering Lady Bird sat at his side. Johnson famously acted like a man who believed he was the most well-hung politician to ever hold the highest office in the land, and even occasionally openly displayed his presidential privates like a primate about to hurl feces across the Rose Garden. Welcome to the world of huge wangs in the White House…

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what it means to have a REAL leader back in the White House. When I heard the news I wondered if President Trump was thinking about his kids or grandkids when he sent that Tweet out.
Odummer would have just sent a condolence card with his face on the front or made a stupid hashtag or something dumb like that.
I hope they get that child here soon. it’s great to hear that US hospital will treat him for free and I hope he gets here soon. President Trump and the US hospital have delivered a richly deserved slap in the face to Europe’s Right to Die Court. They deserve it.

Case on point. A few years back one of our neighbors had done European relatives gone over for a visit. He brought them over, we all sat on the back porch, had some drinks overlooking the lake.
One of the relatives was a hunter in Europe (all EU and national gun permits on place) so it was suggested I bring out an AR I’d converted to .22 LR. When the relative asked if it were a real AR I said yes, it has a number of calibers that it shoots depending on which upper I was using. I thought we’d pop off a few rounds at the beaver lodge across the lake but oh no.
Ended up with a lecture on how we Americans are too privileged, Have too many and too powerful guns, own too many things and too much private property. People shouldn’t be allowed to own as much land as I did.
Our friend caught me out of range and apologized for the incident and I told him that it was no big deal, I was familiar with the ‘modern’ European ethic. I mentioned that as he had a large gun collection and about six times as much property as we did it must be a real time got him when they visit. I think his eyes rolled for about five minutes.
Europe is Europe’s worst enemy.

lilbirdee12’s prayer:
Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
