The three rules of SJWs always play out. We knew this instinctively. They’ve been nefariously and illegally interfering with our elections since long before ACORN pretended to disband.

Your GM and me are kindred spirits.

My vocal pitch may even have matched hers, and I sing bass.

That thing, on me, would make all of you laugh.

Or apply a tourniquet to my severed limb. Or both.

I can actually hit some high notes, but putting a spider on me helps greatly.

In the early 90’s Hollywood came out with a movie, Arachnophobia. The television ads were clever, because they used two different types of ads, for two different types of people. One set of ads was a comedy, making fun of all the people like me who provide really funny comedy when you introduce their skin to a spider, and another set of ads for a really scary horror movie aimed at people like me. It was advertising genius, and I don’t know whether that has been done since. For the record, I could only watch about half. That guy in the photo above is kinda cute. Most big spiders I see in print, I will drop that issue of National Geographic. If I don’t throw it across the room.

I clean the bottoms of the chafers, the big hotel pans, because the black stuff the sternos leave on them reduces the heat conductivity of the chafers, and thus results in a poorer-quality product for the customer.

I was ranting yesterday to a woman whom I’ve known for years, who works below my apartment. It may have been about Islam and dead little kids. I don’t remember. She told me, “You need to stop listening to those talk radio people.” I told her, “Lady, I haven’t listened to talk radio in more than ten years, and I haven’t watched TV in more than fifteen years. I read. And I think for myself. Does our country really need fewer thinkers rather than more thinkers?”

Does it? Which would be better for America? Fewer or more thinkers?

Most people are one of two things. Too lazy to think or too afraid to think. And more and more, they don’t know how. Tell me you don’t work with some people who simply cannot analyze and break down a problem, or use critical thinking skills and logic.

Imagine for a moment they decide to question their own assumptions, to think about terrorism, or why poor people on welfare and food stamps are never getting ahead, or why raising the minimum wage won’t actually help them. Now how many of them do you think can really make it very far into thinking through these things, really analyzing facts and logic and getting to a conclusion that is their own, and not a talking point or on a placard somewhere.

How many do you know who can do that Wooly, especially the ones just getting out of school in the last 10 years or so? Heck, I graduated in 76 and there were lots of people in my class, people of different races, who could not think at all. I believe it’s only getting worse.

Thinking is dangerous to those who subvert for personal power and gain. You think Pelosi, Obama, Ryan, McConnell want you to think? I think Bush senior was probably pissed at those of us who dared to think. And I think, back then, that’s one reason why he lost. Now it would probably be an advantage to whoever was running.

I think Trump didn’t, doesn’t fear critical thought. I think he’s counting on there being enough of us left who know that results matter and rhetoric doesn’t. I think he might be impatient with words, and focused only on what matters, deeds and results. And I think that is totally something that many Americans just can’t fathom.

That describes everyone I work with, besides Chef, and including the owner.

“Hey, owner! Here’s a great way to save lots of money!”

                “Yeah, yeah. Yada yada.”

                Why am I still here?

My former employer, I will give a double middle finger the next time I see him.

He just forced his best employee to walk out today, and plans on stealing back the scooter he GAVE to this guy a few months ago tonight. That ain’t gonna happen. It will either be well-hidden, or my former bossman will be arrested and go to jail tonight, with plenty of video evidence. Both options are on the table.

I texted my former kitchen manager, suckered into returning this summer, “I will never work for your business again. Ever.”

I hope he gets busted trying to steal a scooter in the middle of the night.

That would absolutely make my day.

Neil Chernoff, who knows firsthand how the DC government works, writes:

“The President has the power to order the CIA or the military to murder a US citizen without any due process. President Obama proved this when he ordered the assassination by drone strike of Anwar al-Alawki and two others including the 16 year old son of al-Awlaki.

“Think about the power we vest in a President.

“The idea that Trump “hoping” Comey would drop a probe into Flynn could be a crime is astonishing. What crime relating to Flynn are they actually investigating anyway? Seriously.

“If they want to get Flynn for not filing the right paperwork, then I really want Hillary prosecuted for 30,000 instances of Federal Records law violations. Comey did not even choose to look at those violations. Why? Where was his honesty there? I think we know where is loyalty was.

“Trump could have pardoned Flynn like the earlier Bush did with Caspar Weinberger and ended it right there. He could have ordered Comey to engage in “prosecutorial discretion” for Flynn for the next 4 years or so.

“Obama did this with 700,000 DACA related cases. I do not remember anyone getting riled up about obstruction of justice. Perhaps he should be prosecuted for 700,000 cases of obstruction of justice.

“This is a media problem. I think we need to make a list of everyone advertising with the WashPost, NYT, CNN and MSNBC and start a boycott. Seems to work for liberals.”

Back to that point that’s been bugging me…his ‘personal’ memorandum of that meeting. If he thought that a crime even might have been committed
Comey, by writing up that memo and then secreting it away for later use, constitutes spoilation of evidence, obstruction of evidence, you name it, but if he had the slightest doubt that the President was asking him to sandbag an ongoing criminal investigation that memo no longer belonged to him, it was evidence and he should have immediately reported to appropriate DoJ officials.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

I promise to take a few more pics of the lighthouse before I go elsewhere.

But I need to go elsewhere. Meet new people, do new things. This is a dead end. It’s a beautiful dead end, some days, but it’s still a dead end. 10 years in this little prison apartment is enough.

I think FL is calling. I’ll have a job in Mt. Dora in one day. I just gotta get there. I’m tired of being cold 9 months per year, if not more. I’m tired of familiarity breeding contempt among all the business owners in this podunk resort town, who don’t see the value of their employees.

Former bossman attempted to castigate me today for “running my mouth” about him, a pejorative euphamism for “speaking my mind”, akin to “flapping my gums”. This is the guy who never has a kind word to say about any one of his current or ex-employees… in private. Ever. From his lips to my ears for 9 years. Every single employee sucks in some way. I don’t imagine that I am an exception to the rule.

I might be leaving MI. The seed of an idea is in my head. Germinating quickly.

No, Stockholm Syndrome is not a good look at all. It makes us forget who we are, at our core. It makes us make decisions for all the wrong reasons, and they’re too often the wrong decisions. It keeps us from putting ourselves first in places where we’re all we have. It may in our darkest hours cause us to test our faith in God or his wisdom, but it will ALWAYS cause us to question our faith in ourselves. If you aren’t so lost you can still recognize it for what it is… GO. NOW.

One deep breath in, one deep breath out, one foot in front of another. You have a family here, Wooly, who will pray for you and with you along your journey. The nice thing about this family is we can stay close wherever we are.

You’re a perfect age to pick up life and set roots down elsewhere, son. Life is an adventure if you will let it be one. You don’t need the courage to leave, you only need the courage to decide to leave – the rest will fall into place once you have made that mental commitment. You are giving yourself the gift of recreating your story, Wooly.

I’ve always lived kind of a gypsy life and said I wanted to have the best stories in the nursing home when I was too old to engage life. I’m not that far along, but I am always good for a story and making people laugh. It had its price, but I can say the only move I regret making was leaving the Pacific Northwest, and I did that for other people.

Do it. Just go. Or as my sister in law would say: Fly, Pigeon… fly!!!
