stella, were you able to change something with the ads? I’m not seeing the video one now (the video was causing me the most problems)?

Never mind. The video is there.

Sorry Stella but I had to add ad block plus because the video kept pulling the page up even while I was typing a response, the advertisements seem to make the page “jittery” for lack of a better word.
Anyhow that may work for you Nyet or a similar program.

I use Ad Block Plus myself. I can see some of the static ads, but not the videos.

Reports of recent problems with Brave. Someone here posted an article about it, and said he (who had been a proponent) might have to switch back to Pale Moon.

That would be me. (Morning, all!) Huge input lag in the text fields, but only on WP sites. It’s not doing it right now, but at times its maddeningly slow.
Brave just updated yesterday, so maybe that fixed it. I did file a report last week at their site. Still using it, though. No problems with videos or ads. (Shields are down, so no adblocking is happening here.)
Brave has a single toggle in the upper right, Shields up/down. Basically “Block all ads and trackers, or allow all ads and trackers. Pale Moon/Firefox’s “noscript” lets you selectively block individual scripts, but when a site has 35 scripts running in the background, most of us don’t have the time or patience to decide which to allow.
So I still like Brave.

A comment from a 2014 YouTube video about the replica of Solomon’s Temple some megachurch church built in Brazil.
+Tammy Kemper If you read Dr. Randall Price’s book, “Searching for the Ark of the Covenant”, you will see that the Tabernacle (Tent of Meeting), the Ark Moses built, and all the original Temple Treasuries (not the ones Solomon made) were never lost or captured. They were not disposed of or simply put into storage. It is believed that the Tabernacle (tent of meeting) was erected deep underground, directly under the Holy of Holies, with the original Tabernacle Treasuries, in a complete mirror image of the Temple that Solomon commissioned to be built above ground. And now, new exciting archaeological information indicates that Solomon’s Temple was not built on the “so called” Temple Mount, where the Muslim Dome of the Rock stands, but further south, in the newly discovered and unearthed ancient Jebusite City of David.
Evidence is mounting that what we are told was the Temple Mount, was in fact, a massive 1st century Roman fortification. The very foundation stones upon which the Dome of the Rock stands would seem to contradict Jesus’ words about one stone of the Temple being left standing (see: Matthew 24:2).
If all of this is verified to be true, that the Ark of the Covenant and the original Mosaic Temple Treasuries, were brought into Jerusalem in the time of King David, and then were errected but hidden deep underground, then, as Price points out, it may mean that they are still standing, as the were, and were never captured! The implications would be nothing short of staggering. It may mean that the Glory of YHWH has never left the Tabernacle! It would also mean that Israel would have the Ark of the Covenant and all of the original the Temple Treasuries, including the ashes of the Red Heifer and the Levitical priesthood could immediately set up an Alter directly above ground and commence the ceremonial preparation for building the 3rd Temple and services.
Those who do not take Scripture literally and believe that this cannot possibly happen because Christ’s blood has been shed once for all, need to realize that there are numerous passages in the Old Testament that clearly indicate animal sacrifice will be re-instituted during the millennial Kingdom. See: Ezekiel’s Temple vision (Ezekiel 40-48). Also, there are at least four other prophets who join Ezekiel in affirming that the lineage of Zadok of the the tribe of Judah will have a sacrificial system in a millennial Temple (Isaiah 56:7; 66:20-23; Jeremiah 33:18; Zechariah 14:16-21; Malachi 3:3-4).
The City of David (including his palace) was discovered in complete ruin. As of this writing it is being escavated with plans on complete restoration. Consider the following Biblical prophecy that seems to point to not only the complete future restoration of the City of David, but also the Tabernacle, just as it was, “in the days of old”.
“In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old” (Amos 9:11)

What purpose would the animal sacrifices serve now. To God, not merely from a Jewish point of view, but end result, from God’s perspective? What would be the why?
LikeLiked by 2 people
Good question. It doesn’t make any sense to me, either.
Are their OT prophecies that foretell a return of animal sacrifices, like the commenter says?
And if so, why? I thought the temple veil was torn in two for a reason when Christ died on the cross.

Russia and the US, China and Japan may be the only non Islamic countries in the not too distant future. Poland will defend itself but so does Israel if decisive unalterable action isn’t taken swiftly the savages will have their Islam rooted so deeply into European soil there will be little difference between the ME and Europe other than sand, oil and architecture.

Exactly, and just as we’ve said many times Trump is not a D.C. Politician and is constantly putting his foot in his mouth. HE is the outsider and, unlike Reagan, did not surround himself with professional DC political fighters. Sounds real nice to just soeak off of the top of your head but when you are surrounded by political lawyers who hate you and are waiting for your slightest gaff to nail you with you can’t afford to be mindless of your speech and actions.
Even if Trump survives this his gaff will be used to hammer ’18 Republican Congressional candidates, and the Rats were ramped up with money and bodies to make ’18 a living hell for Republicans as it was and Trump’s not carefully considering what he says doesn’t help. You can bet that Reagan or Obamas really REALLY wanted to just speak outright but knew that it was best to moderate one’s speech to keep the agenda on track.
I hope thst Trump gets his political speech, and its all political speech, under control before it’s too late – if it isn’t all ready. It’s a battle for the future of this country and not his personal schoolyard shouting match.

well..maybe…but Trump is not TRYING to become a mainstream business as usual political type and afraid of his shadow…he uses his so called gaffs to call out his detractors, so then he knows who to not trust and how to circumvent and destroy their effective attacks. He is a consummate business executive and is very good at the long game…and the media bites at every worm he throws out….pretty soon, he has shown the entire world that the idiots are all in the Media and in the GOPe and Uniparty crowd….he is doing business every day….and Congress is doing very little….the citizens are watching this as well…..the Democrats are no better than the GOP, so there is not a real problem with 2018 as neither the candidates of either party or the media will be trusted by the citizen voters by then.

We’ll see. The a D.C. Incrowd, including Congress, is mostly lawyers and business tactics don’t work all that well on them. Remember, the basis for being a good lawyer is being duplicitous, capable of twisting the hell out of the English language and a really good fiction writer.
With lawyers it’s generally not proving their client innocent as it is creating a really good BS line about how your client was caught red-handed with a bag of garbage, a pregnant goat and the missing jewelry. These guys are capable of making Manson look like an overactive Hollywood fan, Snowden look like a patriot and Obama look like an American….oh wait, they did make Barry look American. Manson and Snowden couldn’t afford them, Barry did.
The ones that graduate to DC are usually tops in their fields and are the result of Darwinian politics, they have a great survival instincts and eat outsiders for breakfast. Trump needs professional exterminators dealing with them while he tends to their demise and he needs to listen to the exterminator’ advice.

As a businessman, I expected Trump to make some mistakes, but some of the tweets he sent and remarks he has made, make me cringe. Had Trump fired Comey in the traditional manner and had not sent out those tweets and made the derogatory remarks about Comey, the country wouldn’t be going through this mess.
Then there was the suggestion that he may have tapes of the conversations with Comey, Damn, doesn’t Trump remember Nixon. Now Trump has to either give up the tapes and hope the tapes corroborate Trump’s versions of events and if there is any abnormality on the tapes, a whole new can of worms is opened. It was the missing minutes on the tapes that got Nixon. If Trump refuses to provide the tapes to either Congress or the Special Counsel, then the question becomes, what is Trump hiding?
Now Trump has made public statements that he is willing to testify under oath, WTH!! You talk about opening a can of worms. Does Trump believe that he only has to answer the questions that suit him? Trump may as well give baseball bats to his distractors to beat him with. SMH
I stated that the manner Comey was fired was going to come back and haunt the Trump administration.

Now there is a special counsel looking into the Russian “thing” as well as the events surrounding Comey’s dismissal. There is no way this isn’t going to be a drag on the Trump administration and his agenda.

I hope somebody lays out a timeline of the tweets, and what Comey says because they are using it on all the news shows that the tweets are what caused Comey to do what he did. As I disagreed with Sundance, I’m afraid I have to disagree with you as well. The proper way to have dismissed Comey, was to either have Comey meet with Attorney General Sessions and have Sessions explain the reasons why Comey needed to go, ask for Comey’s resignation and if he refused, fire him on the spot.
The other option would have been for Comey meet with Trump and Sessions. Trump give the explanation for letting him go, ask for his resignation and if Comey refused, fire him. This would have been consistent with the Trump persona – “You’re fired.”
This is the way it is done in business and in appointive government jobs. This is the way professionals do it. You meet with the person being terminated, lay out the reasons for the termination and allow them to resign gracefully. If they refuse, then fire them.
The sudden dismissal without directly facing Comey, the changing reasons for the dismissal and then the derogatory comments about Comey makes it appear the dismissal was for a personal rather than a professional reasons. We also have to remember what was percolating up in the news prior to the dismissal.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/05/politics/trump-associates-russians-meetings/
From the article:
Jared Kushner: Son-in-law and close adviser to Trump met with Sergey Gorkov: Chairman of Russian state-run development bank, Vnesheconombank (VEB), which is under U.S. sanctions and was appointed to job by President Vladimir Putin.
So the FBI, why conducting a counter intelligence investigation, is was looking at a meeting that his son in law had with the head of a Russian Bank, who was appointed by Putin and the head of a bank that was under sanctions.
Could this aspect of the investigation have been the cloud hanging over Trump that caused him to terminate Comey. I don’t know, and the trouble is no one else outside of Trump knows either. I suspect the Special Counsel is going to want to know the answer to that question.
As I said before, I don’t believe this is anywhere near over.

Government employees, driven by politics, are not like private sector employees. President Trump needed to keep the upper hand over a man who is out to destroy him, and may yet do so.
Given warning, he would have used the media to do as much damage as he could, and probably would have taken documents from FBI premises that he should not have. He had no problem leaking the memos he prepared about Trump, which were FBI property. Do you doubt that wouldn’t happen again?
LikeLike
Other than the claims by some sites, I’ve seen no real evidence that Comey was out to destroy Trump.
Who said anything about giving him a heads up he was going to be asked to resign? You have Comey come in with Sessions as he would on any other meeting and then pop the termination on him.
As far as the memos are concerned, which came first, telling his friend about the encounter with Trump or providing him with the memo to provide creditability in releasing the information.
Actually, I doubt it would have happened at all if Trump had fired Comey in a proferssional manner and not started making derogatory remoarks about Comey and the FBI
LikeLike
Providing his friend with the memo, or its contents was, at the very least, unprofessional, and perhaps illegal.
And I disagree that he wouldn’t have done it if he had been fired “professionally”. His aim (he said it, not me) was to force a Special Prosecutor/Counsel. His opinion of President Trump was negative from the beginning – again, his words, not mine. He kept memos on Trump, which he had never done with Obama. What does that tell you? That he thought Obama was more trustworthy? Do YOU believe that?
Comey didn’t even keep memos on Hillary Clinton (or so he has said).

I’ve read the article and found it interesting even though Turley made some mistakes of fact. For instance,
“Comey’s position would effectively gut a host of federal rules and regulations. He is suggesting that any federal employee effectively owns documents created during federal employment in relation to an ongoing investigation so long as they address the information to themselves. FBI agents routinely write such memos in investigations. They are called 302s to memorialize field interviews or fact acquisitions. They are treated as FBI information.”
302’s are actually an FBI report with a case number, not a memo. The 302’s involving interviews with individuals are co signed by the two interviewing investigators. I know this to be a fact as I have co signed 302 interview reports.

By the way, Comey admitted that he did certain things in order to force a Special Counsel. That was before he was fired. Did you watch his testimony?
Former FBI director James Comey said Thursday he helped reveal details of his private conversations with President Donald Trump because he thought doing so would spur the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the administration.
http://www.postandcourier.com/news/comey-says-he-shared-details-of-conversations-with-trump-to/article_0d53a8e8-4c6a-11e7-a1de-779463fe73ba.html
And this is after he had assured President Trump more than once that he was not the target of an investigation.

My wife and I both watched Comey’s testimony. My wife has no background in legal proceedings and I have sat through thousands of interviews and watched hundreds of individuals interrogated on the witness stand. We both felt Comey did pretty well considering he was going up against the President of the United States.
“Former FBI director James Comey said Thursday he helped reveal details of his private conversations with President Donald Trump because he thought doing so would spur the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the administration.”
While I agree the method he used was not the best avenue to the appointment of a Special Counsel, you have to ask yourself why he felt it was necessary to take such a dangerous step?
Everyone forgets that few, if any of us know the real Donald Trump. We know the persona, but not necessarily the real person. Remember the whole Kennedy Camelot meme? What do we know today about the Kennedy brothers. It could well be the same with Trump, only time will tell.
I also suspect that the Director of the FBI may have information on Trump that most of us here do not have, just by the fact he was in New York area as a US attorney and worked in the Northeast most of his professional life and could have come into close contact with individuals who have had dealing with Trump.

I am a Trump supporter, not a Trump follower. I follow only One and that is indicated by the Cross my avatar. In following Him, I continually search for truth so justice can be had and I will continue to do that.
My concerns about the CTH go back some time as I indicated in this comment.

When Sundance decided to launch his attacks on Comey with little or no real evidence, and upon reading the comments he generated, I had an image of the “Two Minutes of Hate” scene in Orwell’s classic “1984.” It was then I knew it was time for me to leave the tree house. It was no longer the comfortable tree house that it was when I started posting years ago.
From the tenor of your comments and the apparent emotional response I trigger, and since this is your site, I will refrain from posting here as well.

Regarding the “obstruction of justice” charge being thrown about by the media:
Does an FBI Investigation Qualify Under the Obstruction of Justice Statutes? A Closer Look
https://www.lawfareblog.com/does-fbi-investigation-qualify-under-obstruction-justice-statutes-closer-look
In an op-ed last week, Professor Elizabeth Foley made the case that FBI investigations are covered only by 18 U.S.C. § 1510, a narrow statutory provision that prohibits only interference by means of bribery:
In the almost 120 years since Section 1505 and its predecessor have been on the books, no court appears to have ever held that an ongoing F.B.I. investigation qualifies as a “pending proceeding” within the meaning of the statute. Instead, Section 1505 applies to court or court-like proceedings to enforce federal law. In addition to prosecutions (where charges have been filed with a court), such proceedings include actions of enforcement by federal agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service, Securities and Exchange Commission or National Labor Relations Board, in which the agency has broad powers not merely to investigate statutory violations, but also to enforce them via subpoena or other administrative proceedings.
Foley may be right. A fair bit of authority suggests that an FBI criminal investigation is not a “pending proceeding” for the purposes of § 1505. The government has long conceded this point, in fact. Indeed, the U.S. Attorney’s Manual makes the blanket concession that “investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are not section 1505 proceedings”—an interpretation that may well guide Special Counsel Robert Mueller in the conduct of his duties.

James Comey a long time DC insider initiated the first private meeting between him and Trump by choosing to remain alone with President Elect Trump on January 6th, 2017 according to Comey’s own written testimony.
Comey set precedent and then never mentioned to President Trump that Comey felt private conversations with the president were inappropriate.
I first met then-President-Elect Trump on Friday, January 6 in a conference room at Trump Tower in New York. I was there with other Intelligence Community (IC) leaders to brief him and his new national security team on the findings of an IC assessment concerning Russian efforts to interfere in the election. At the conclusion of that briefing, I remained alone with the President- Elect to brief him on some personally sensitive aspects of the information assembled during the assessment.

As Andrew C. McCarthy has so presciently been pointing out for some time, Islam is sharia, and sharia is a government system that dictates that infidels or non-believers must submit by converting, pay jizya, or be killed. There are no ifs, ands, or buts; it is the nature of the beast.
Our progressive brethren can pretend all they want; true Islam is not compatible with Western values. Yet my mere mentioning of “Western values” is considered by the left, academia, and the media hate speech, warranting my disappearance from daily life…at the very least.
Manchester and London Bridge were tests. At what point will we fight back? If they kill our little girls, will we fight? If they kill innocents out for an evening stroll in one of the premier cities of the Western world, will we fight back?
The consensus is that we will not. That’s just the way progressives like it.

Exactly.
There was a story about when the jihadis were on their rampage on London Bridge and a chap ran into a pub and said people were getting slaughtered, one of the patrons said “Muslim c*nts” << that patron was chastised for saying such a thing as people were being slaughtered by Muslims.

I would just like to ask leftists and progressives, “How many little girls’ deaths at the hands of Muslim bombers, per year, are you willing to accept? 500? 1000? 5000? Which number is your red line, at which you will say ‘no more!’ 500 is okay, right? That’s acceptable, right, for you to maintain your delusion that Islam is peaceful?”
I don’t think most could give me a concrete, round number of the number of dead little girls at the hands of Islam they would NOT find acceptable. They cannot wrap their heads around the concept of EVER criticizing Islam or Muslims, no matter how high the death count. They would rather see little girls blown up by nail bombs than see Muslims offended. One is acceptable to them. The other is not.

I can answer for them. their answer would be how many European men are you going to allow to rape and kill children and women? they would mention Jimmy Savile, Robert Thompson and Jon Venables.
Their minds are incapable of discerning between anomaly and the norm. There is no reason to engage people who do not see Islam for what it is a vile, savage way of life.

Let’s not forget that the initial report showing medical screwups as the third greatest cause of preventable death in 1999 AND a redux by another researcher last year showing the same thing point out medical mistakes are not that rare. Also look at the numbers of drugs over the last twenty years that have proven to be…damaging.
I don’t look at it as ‘acceptable civilian casualties’, I wonder why in the pursuit of profits the Medical Industrial Complex leans to profits over patient safety.

Morning all, and afternoon to you easterners. Yesterday’s Comey hysteria sent me running to my electronics-free safe space. I just couldn’t take it. So DH and I went out for breakfast, and then a girlfriend and I spent the afternoon getting hair and nails done and having a late coffee.
This morning in playing catch up, I came across two gems via John Nolte’s twitter:
10 Things We Learned Today:
1. Trump was never under investigation.
2. Trump did not obstruct justice.
3. Trump did not collude with Russia.
4. Russia did not alter the election outcome.
5. Comey leaked his own memo.
6. Loretta Lynch pressured Comey to cover for Hillary Clinton.
7. There was ample evidence to put Hillary in jail but Comey chose not to pursue it.
8. CNN and other fake news outlets have been lying/covering things up this entire time.
9. The Democrat Party no longer has the ability to scream “RUSSIA” every time Trump tries to do something.
10. The Russia story is dead–any democrat who continues to push it will look foolish and insane to the American people.
This was a retweet from Steve Hirsch (@Stevenwhirsch99). I don’t know how to copy tweets so I just retyped the whole thing. Truly old school here.
The other was this link to an article by Nolte:

I have a feeling we are headed toward a “Super Party” in 2020, McCain, Ryan and some other twats had some sort of meeting where they invited Joe Biden to be the speaker. Right now the headline on NYP is “Romney: Hillary told me to work for Trump”.
The wording in the article from Mittens is dismissive of President Trump. I am guessing that the perpetual politicians are throwing their lots together against President Trump and are going to say so for 2020 they’ll say something like they are the unity party.
Clinton/Mittens ?
And Comey threw Lynch/Clinton under the bus I keep wondering if that was a slip on his part. It was very odd testimony.

Yes, avos will turn brown quickly, in less than one day. Even under plastic.
I know avos. It’s really difficult to maintain perfect ripeness. You buy them and they’re too hard, you put them in a paper bag at room temp and they become perfect in a day, and then they become brown if you halve and pit them, in just one more day. A very volatile fruit.
I love to eat them, not a fan of dealing with them.
LikeLiked by 1 person
So you think I should shuck the avocado idea?
LikeLike
I donno. I think it sounds great, but you need to make them just before serving them. And that’s difficult, because it’s a time and labor-intensive project. It’s like Hollandaise. It dies quickly. I mean, you can peel and halve the eggs, work the yolks, and maybe add the avos at the last minute, just before you put the filling into the pastry bag, I guess. Yes, I could make it work, but time is the most important thing.

Absolutely.
But, I don’t know if this holds true in the filling mix, which is why I would add the avos at the very last minute to the filling.

At my last workplace, every item on the menu with avocados was called “California”.
Cali omelette. Cali benedict. Cali BLT. Cali ultimate grilled cheese.
We went through, and they still do, a whole lot of avos. Getting the perfect ripeness is difficult enough if you’re only slicing it and putting it on a sammy or omelette. Much more volatile if you’re putting it in your devilled egg filling. It’s like bananas. Slice a banana, and put it in a plastic-covered container, see how long it stays good enough to serve to a customer. Avos are like mayflies. They live for one day.

Just sayin’.

Cool, clear night with virtually no extraneous light. Full moon rose just after sundown and is flooding the area with bright light. The trees like the cypresses and maples still are putting out new leaves and they are a different construct than the more mature leaves so the ends of their branches all gave what looks like, in moonlight, frosted ends, giving each tree a full-leaved Christmas tree look. One of those times that drives home why we live out here.
