Reel lawnmowers were THE best mowers for a quality cut but Feds killed the walk-behinds as idiots misused them. Debating getting a pull-behind reel for my ATV or a zero turn.

I am an antique freak. I have a reel mower, hand seeder, harness oiler and walk behind cultivator in my front yard. I have crosscut saws and mule collars hanging in my shop. I have an oil filter wrench made out of barb wire and an old Maytag wringer washer that still works. I think I was born in the wrong generation. 30 years ago I was still churning my own butter and growing my own veggies. My husband passed away 20 years ago and I kind of got away from the “old ways”. Time for me to get back to my roots.

I use crosscut saws, one and two-man (they were built pre-PC). I got them when the Army Engineers went from saws to chainsaws, they were put into the trash and that was that so we went dumpster diving. We also got the sharpening and setting kits. That was over 40 years ago and they still work fine.

Hi all! Busy day today so I’m dropping this in a bit earlier than I really like to. Enjoy the video – the delivery of Lennon’s Rolls was in 1967, the year I graduated from high school. It never made an impression on me then, as it was all about playing frisbee in the park in our tie-dyed garb and the Vietnam War back in those days. I’m glad we have the internet now – it is one impressively dressed up luxury car.

          When I found out:—-

…he said his “Imagine” was the Communist Manifesto, sugar coated for American ears, and when he made “Come Together”, the epitome of the Communist Goal from 1963 that said “Replace all Western art with intentional meaninglessness”, and when he intentionally referenced “Mother Mary” in “Let it Be”, (Paul sang it…) just to put a foot in the door… I actually began to hate the man.

..my hatred for the man was only slightly mitigated by his “Revolution no. 9.” where he kinda-sorta renounced himself.

I only wonder if some NYC residents actually said “Ah, let it be. There will be an answer.
Not my problem.” when they passed his bleeding corpse after he was shot.

Postmodernism. I was blinded by the light. As it were. And LSD.

Then I got back into Christ, and into the works of Francis A. Schaeffer, and was red-pilled, and taught just what exactly it was that they did to our society.

Aus, it wasn’t mere idiotic hypocrisy for the Beatles, it was Industry Standard Strategy.

Sounds sick. It was. It is.

      • I wonder how many of those who selected and enrolled did so because it was that or get nailed by the fine.

As an aside here, does anyone have suggestions for what to say to someone who is claiming that their child would have died without Obamacare because they were getting denied treatment for a pre-existing condition? I don’t think this person is lying but the story sounds a little far-fetched. I’m not sure what to make of it. (This person was very upset when O-care went away.)

I know a number of people who were denied coverage for existing conditions, or required to pay sky-high premiums. We met them as they wentbto work for the Feds who, under FEHB, had eliminated the refual of coverage or higher premiums for preexisting. Yes, it’s very possible that their family member(s) might have died due to their inability to pay for the treatment out-of-pocket but I can’t see our having to pay for it. There should be a special risk pool just as there is for auto insurance, I appreciate your position and problems but I have enough of a time taking care of the needs of my family without having to assume the burdon if yours.

Watching Dr Oz (judt happened to be on) and he has a chef making Mexican street corn. OK, not real Mexican street corn, it’s sanitary-made.
Reminds me of when I took my grandson to a on’s wedding in Antigua, Guatemala. We were in the town square (expecting Eli Wallach to ride in any second) and he saw a vendor msking grilled corn on a portable grill. We went over and he was fascinated, he wanted a piece.
The Greater Antigua Chamber of Commerce apparently tried to make the place a bit less authentic and made the vendors put diapers on the donkeys they used for hailing their gear. Well our corn vendor notices that his donkey just made a huge pile of compost and a bunch missed the diaper. Without misding a beat he goes from flipping the corn with his bare hands to picking up the poop and stuffing it into the diaper and back to flipping the corn without even wiping his hands.
My GS just turns to me and says that he’s not all that hungry any more. I just told him “welcome to the underdeveloped world, son”.

How things got weird as Montana’s special election entered its final hours

This is about the Republican House candidate who reportedly assaulted a reporter.

The best thing about it is the comments. You can tell these folks live in Big Sky Country. Examples:

D whether or not your observation is true I can personally assure you the American and Western cultural media vermin declared war on Christendom and America’s God given founding documents when I was a lad growing up in the Northwest. THAT was a long, long time ago. I know lots about Montana and have numerous friends in many cities and towns in Big Sky Country. I’ll also buy you a steak dinner of your choosing at Ruth’s Chris if the liberal wack job seeing the the CD seat is elected. I’ll further guarantee the only weenie-wagger pajama boy millenials who think millenial Guardian dirt bag is a sympathetic figure are Democrats, whores, pimps, piano players, footpads and second Storey men all constituents of the Godless Democrat Party.

I’m starting a go fund me for Ben. Everybody chip in and help this poor guy out. The money raised will be used to purchase Ben a new pair of glasses, a gym membership, and a new pair of underwear. Let’s right this wrong.

The next game in the series. The antagonists are who you see here. And it takes place in Montana. Take a gander at the imagery here, and imagine thousands of commenters at video game sites such as Gamespot, Polygon, Destructoid, and Rock Paper Shotgun expressing their ecstatic joy at the prospect of killing white Christians.

Only IGN has allowed a serious discussion on this without mass bannings from their forums.

Approaching 500 comments. The rest of the sites I mentioned, combined, have maybe 20-30 each. All those are almost or fully SJW-converged, naturally.

And the thread is a wonder to read. I didn’t think there still existed a gaming site where contrary opinion was allowed. Never mind dialectic.
