Awesome meme. It’s true. Libs only know what they’re supposed to call all of these people, for to not do so means the end of their careers, and thereby, their gravy train.

I don’t recognize the face on the end, next to Algore. Probably because I don’t watch television, ever, but he IS, actually, a “Journalist”. I’m sure. Just as Brian Williams was, just as the plagiarist at the NYT, Jayson Blair was. They are indeed Journalists. They are NOT Reporters. “Journalist” is a term that replaced “reporter”, and is a euphemism for “liar”, “story-teller”, and “propagandist”.

That’s the single most important thing I learned from Limbaugh, years ago when he was still selling nice neckties.

Keep using the term Journalist. They own it, they invented it. Just like they own and invented Social Justice Warrior. Use it as a pejorative, always, for those to whom it applies, which is most of them. Use it to ridicule them. Sneer when you say it.

Use “Reporter” when applicable, like with Sheryl Atkisson or Sundance, as an honorific.

Eventually, “Journalist” will become such a tainted word, that they will come up with a new one, and will be greatly offended if people call them Journalists. Like they do with every other word that they made distasteful by their distasteful actions. Like “Liberal” became “Progressive”, because “Liberal” got such a bad reputation, “Journalist” will be made so bad that they will call it “the J-word”, and replaced with yet another dishonest term. Rinse and repeat. Commies gonna commie.

    Good morning all…
I need to restore my emotional balance after the tumult of yesterday, so I am gardening and baking bread… Walnut bread… in my machine. I don’t have diastatic malt (?) but I do have good King Authur bread flour. 🙂 I may also require some quality time at the beach..

When it comes to birth control, it seems that teenagers are legally allowed to make decisions on their own, without parental consent.. This would upset me if I had a daughter, but it is something that goes on now a days….

      • Menagerie says:

Youth Services of Tulsa argued that they legally do not have to tell a parent when contraceptives are implanted inside schoolchildren. Title X allows for youth as young as age 12 to receive “birth control” — even abortifacient contraceptives — without a parent’s consent.

First, it’s one thing that it’s legal. Not moral or right IMO, but it is legal. It’s another thing all together for a school to take these girls on what parents thought was an educational field trip to have them implanted with dangerous drugs. The article states that more than 6,000 women filed complaints about the drug within the first six years. It was taken of the market, and has been renamed by another company.

This, for parents of children in public, and perhaps even private schools, is a war game. Nothing less.

New Obama Bio Is Not Just Exhausting; It’s Insulting

    http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2017/05/new_obama_bio_is_not_just_exhausting_its_insulting.html

“Dreams from My Father was not a memoir or an autobiography;” writes Pulitzer Prize-winner David Garrow, “it was instead, in multitudinous ways, without any question a work of historical fiction.”

Garrow makes this claim, italics included, in his massive new biography about Obama’s pre-presidential years, Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama. For myself and other citizen journalists who have followed Obama, this is hardly a revelation.

Yesterday, after dinner, we decided to go sit by the beach, “our beach”, Myrtle Beach State Park. When we got there is was full of emergency response:fire, pd, ambulance, etc.
We found out what happened this morning, a small plane crashed into the water, just off shore. http://counton2.com/2017/05/10/sole-occupant-in-plane-safe-after-crash-near-myrtle-beach-state-park/
You may or may not know, the beach is near the airport, the pilot was approaching and had a problem. He said that the beach was too full of people to attempt to land there, so he went into the water!!! He was rescued by a helicopter…

Winning! Read this fb post and know we are winning, And it feeeeeels good. (Not winning in that the liberals outnumbered President Trump Supporters) https://www.facebook.com/indivisibleca04/?hc_ref=NEWSFEED&fref=nf

“We were at a town hall meeting tonight with Representative John Garamendi. Even in this safe blue district, people came out in force, spilling out into the next room to express their fear, frustration and anger with the Trump administration.
Garamendi was a class act though. He did a good job stoking people’s anger while providing comfort to lessen their anxiety.
All that being said, we left the event lamenting the fact that we are stuck with an out-of-touch fundamentalist who has established himself at the far-right extreme of the political spectrum.”

The group IndivisibleCA04 is working full-speed ahead and I am finding liberal friends on this page that I KNOW were not involved before and now they are becoming involved. Yikes.. Wish lived in CA (not really – only to show up at these events) because I would make a point to be there! If know anyone in CA, pass this on:

In Clinton Caper, Comey Was the Most Visible Player, Not the Most Consequential
    By Andrew C. McCarthy

    https://pjmedia.com/andrewmccarthy/2017/05/10/in-clinton-caper-comey-was-the-most-visible-player-not-the-most-consequential/

Mrs. Clinton was hoping to put the e-mail scandal behind her by arguing that she had been vindicated by a thorough, highly professional FBI investigation. But she lost, so the investigation that was to be her credential for office became the downfall that denied her. Comey thus became Rationalization 1 for her defeat … at least until Rationalization 1A, Russia, got some media traction. So now, Comey has gone from villainous J. Edgar Hoover to valiant Elliot Ness again – not out of anything he did, but because Democrats calculate that framing his termination as part of a “cover-up” may resuscitate the Trump-Russia narrative, which has grown stale in the absence of concrete evidence of collusion.

The Obama Justice Department was never, ever going to indict Hillary Clinton. Even if he had wanted to push against that outcome, Comey had to know doing so would have been futile. But as long as he accepted the inevitable – as long as he defended the decision with dizzying disquisitions on mens rea and other criminal law esoterica – he would be given a wide berth.
    (and much more)

Grass has already been cut several times (3 weeks ago was the first time, I think), and the weeds are doing great. The lilacs are almost done blooming, the bleeding heart is blooming now. Tulips and daffs are done. The next big show will be the peonies, but not for a couple of weeks, I think.

It would seem we are on a similar blooming schedule in terms of flowers.

Tulips and daffs are done; lilacs pretty well done. Laurel (one tree, one bush size) are just getting off peak. The dahlias are about 4″ out of the ground in several locations (I finally learned, last spring and into fall) that it wouldn’t kill them to prune them back WHILE they’re blooming – otherwise they get 8′ high or something and are just ridiculously huge. Which my rose bushes also do.

I love living in Oregon for that reason: it’s hard to kill flowers here.

One huge tree all covered with lavendar flowers, and another covered with white (which are the fade-from-pink).

Many other things working their way forward or backward.

I have a hard time keeping up with the yard work but that’s ok in that there are always jobs I can do which is good with re to the very-slow-recovery of strength. My son and grandson were down on Saturday and did a bunch of cutting, large pruning, and climbing on the roof type stuff which was really a boost.

Azaleas are in full bloom right now, and the calla lilies just getting ready to explode in their glory.

Story about eels. I was 19, in the Air Force, and stationed in Biloxi Mississippi. I loved to fish, so I had my Dad send down my fishing gear. I headed out on the boardwater and cast out my line. First up was a flounder! First time I had ever seen one. Holy cow, a dinner plate with both eyes on the same side of it’s body! Next, a very large crab (first time to see one) latched on to my line and would not let go. I gave the flounder and the crab to a nice young couple fishing down the pier from me. I got a really good hit and was jazzed. I pulled up my line and yuppers, there was the moray eel. I hauled him onto the pier and he dropped f my line and started chasing me down the dock. Little old man at the far end was yelling “kick him in the head Honey” I did and threw him back.
Took a little break and told myself I would give it one more try. I got a good hit and reeled it in. I was thrilled, it looked like a really nice small mouth bass. I could almost taste dinner. I slipped my hand behind the gills and the dang thing puffed itself up and started barking like a frog!!! They are called croakers. I sent my fishing gear back to Michigan and did not wet another line for about 3 years.

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

John Popper is the best harmonica player since Stevie Wonder.

I only knew and loved the album by Blues Traveler called Four. He got in an accident and lost his legs just before that album was recorded. That puts the whole album into context. He was in a wheelchair when they made it. I don’t know if he still is. They were a “jam band” that people, usually self-described hippies, followed religiously, like The Grateful Dead or Phish or DMB. in their VW campers.

Just like Cee Lo Green lost his mother, right before his band Gnarls Barkley released The Odd Couple, which puts that whole album into context.

“…. On 10 May 1775 the Second Continental Congress met in Philadelphia and named George Washington supreme commander of Continental forces, a good thing. Same day that Congress also issued its first paper currency, the Continental, a very bad thing. It went the way of all fiat currencies. By end-1778 the Continental had fallen to one-fifth to one-seventh of face value. By 1780, to 1/40. By May 1781, six years after the first issue, they had ceased to circulate because they were worthless.
Yet not so worthless that a political scam could not be organized under the table to milk the government and enrich insiders. After the 1789 constitution was ratified, Congress authorized the exchange of Continentals for treasury bonds at 1% of face value. Let’s see, if you scooped ’em up when they were worthless and sold ’em at 1% for treasury bonds, that’s an infinite profit, ain’t it?
And y’all thought federal government corruption was invented in 1861. No, it’s been with us always.”
