Chef has that on a tee shirt.
I think I should buy him a guitar and amp, and teach his angry mf’n butt to play. He only recently got into NEW guitar music when he discovered Bonamassa, about 4 years ago. He has many concerts on DVD. And Clapton’s Crossroads Festivals. He raised a cello-playing virtuoso daughter. Yet he doesn’t play. Yet his passion, aside from cooking, is guitar rock. and audio. Go figure.

40 degrees here and a chance of showers on and off all day. We are starting to dry out a little, but a lot of standing water yet. Farmers getting stuck in their fields.

We have errands, the post office, the liquor store, etc. On a happy note, with all the wet weather the plants and grass are all a lovely green. 4 or 5 inches of rain isn’t a problem, 10 or 11 might flood the lake….

Knee deep in the mud right now. I have lived here since 1987 and have never seen this much standing water. Lakes that have been dry for years are full. I have ducks in my front yard!

Good morning, everybody! Just spent two hours on the phone with Costco Concierge Service re my laptop. Got hard drive errors, and I am in my second year of warranty (which is Costco, not Dell). News is that my computer is working even though it probably shouldn’t be, so my hard drive may crash at any time. Bad news is that they won’t fix it unless the drive completely crashes, and my warranty runs out July 26. So, I guess I have to hope that it crashes before then, and keep my backups current in the meantime.
Just so you all know, I do have a desktop I can use in case the laptop fails, so there is that.

First mission in ’91 caught some AK rounds through the aircrafts body skin, didn’t have time to make repairs, used duct tape inside and out to cover the holes……..

I still have my Vietnam armor plate vest, still got butt prints on it. It was my lucky charm, as long as I had it I never took a hit. AKs didn’t bother me as much as the Russian 12.7s. Plate wouldn’t hardly slow ’em down but we never took a hit from them…see, lucky charm worked.

Computer issues are so frustrating. I hope it works out for you. Mine has been on its last leg for awhile, but I don’t know what I want to replace it with since technology moves so fast, and they are obsolete in no time flat.

‘Zactly. I bought a tablet, which I use a bit (now, in the screen room) but I much prefer the laptop. I dislike the touch keyboard, and sometimes the websites look different.

Stella – if in Windoz, you might try chkdsk. It will mark bad sectors on the drive and will fix errors if you tell it to. Will run for hrs, depending on disk size, so fire up desktop. Backup first, of course. Chkdsk will give you ammo for replacement at Costco.
First freezing disk overnight usually always helps (disk only, not puter).

Nobody wants to wonder why his maternal grandmother died when she did. While he was visiting her. I’m sure she could have shed some light on his past.

Was just outside with Tucker. Yesterday and today are those Spring days when there is green in the air – the trees are leafing out and there is a green shimmer. I sat in a chair under my neighbor’s blooming crab apple tree, and across the yard my lilacs are beginning to bloom. The scent is absolutely luscious!
Then there are the puppy teeth and the hole in my pant leg …

Interesting, can’t show the tape as the perps are thought to be minors and no description of the thiefettes in training.
