Czar, you and Col. Ken might appreciate this link. It’s about a Shark Tank like project where you pitch your non-progamming, and perhaps even non-gaming, but experienced idea to 5 actual strategy and wargame developers, and the winner gets their idea produced.
– The NEW Battle of New Orleans. Using the GTA 5 engine.
– 2092: Last of the New Moors
– Reconquista 2.0
– The Coming Crusade in Europe. (With DLC expansions that will cover the globe.)
And in all those games you can play many different factions, on all sides of the conflict.
I wonder if any of the 5 judges are SJW or SJW-cowed?

Those above are just my initial ideas I would submit.
But based on my interactions with the gaming community, by and large, those ideas would most likely all be rejected and I would be found and fired from my job, and probably Swatted, too.

Do we get to blast the SJWs? With digital guns, of course. I fought the New Battle of New Orleans and others are still fighting it, I do believe we are losing.

strange how doing chores and responsible work has been replaced by video games, cell phone web browsing and taking selfie pictures and giggling about them with other slouchabouts. does anyone think about how the nation would have ever been developed had any of those things gotten in the way of driving a wagon west, chopping down trees while defending from Indian attacks, busting rocks and plowing fields to plant crops that had to be harvested, and boiling water over an open fire to wash clothes in?
What have we become because of Technology and Cheap electronics?

Remember what I mentioned about chess, Joshua.
That ancient game, like these, is good for the mind, not a replacement for chores and responsible work. It never was. If anything, it’s a good replacement for passively watching television or listening to talk radio after chores and work.
That being said, I’ll get off your lawn.

There has always been some form of leisure activity, not matter what century, Joshua. It only becomes a problem when it replaces responsible work.

Dang it, autoplay. Now I’m thinking about how much Sink the Bismarck by Johnny Horton also applies to today. Substitute whichever “refugee” flotilla you can think of for the Bismarck. Europe should have sunk the boats.
Yes, Czar, I do think we are losing, too.

We still have a shooting rate in the city like we did in the 90s though fewer are dieing. We also don’t have the thugses shooting up schools or students like we did in the 80s and 90s but then we have a greater dropout rate. Ugh, art imitating life.
LikeLiked by 4 people
the drop out rate is not due to high school failure…it starts WAY before then, and the kids that “drop out” had no incentives, responsible parenting, English language competency, appropriate value systems taught, nor stability in their lives to assure that education had an important respected place in their lives….they just get pushed forward with their age group until clearly they are tired of messing around in classes full of boring junk being flung about by pathetic so-called “teachers”…..and a big deal is how to lie, cheat, sneak out of school, or just play truant…..they are not mere Drop Outs….they are total failures and now are going to be subsidized by US society either with handouts or through criminal activities.

Potayto, tomahto, it’s all, psrt of the purposeful dumbing down of the nation. Feds loaded the schools with kids from dysfunctional backgrounds and expected them to instantly jump into a respectable middle class cultural groove with almost zero previous exposure. When they realized their mistake, years too late, it was easier to just let the whole system go to hell than it was to clean it up. Also fit nicely into the internationalists’ plans to curb US success as much of the rest of world was upset at our prosperity and accomplishments.

Strategy Games???? Yes, I do see the SJW at work here, any NGOs about? Many years a NGO said this Me: “You Col, need too clear a path thru this mine field, so I can deliver my propaganda (food/water) to that village across the field”. Me, (no mine clearing teams or MLIC) yeah, watch this, Hawks dropped the food/water pallets in the village sq.
Hey, Czar, I have fond memories of those NGOs always under foot, and giving me their guidance……….

Actually fought down river at Chalnette, a working-class city south of New Orleans. We lived across the Mississippi from where the battle was fought, about a mile from the river. When we bought there was, at the end of our street and on the river, a large and long dirt revetment that historians said was built for the Battle. It was supposed to protect cannons deployed on the west side of the river to defend the city were the Brits to sail up the river to attack.
There were some developers who wanted to build on the land the revetment was on so suddenly ‘historians’ were saying there was no proof the revetment was from the Battle. Ladt I heard it was gone and new balloon-stick houses were up.

Well, I am ticked off. I just lost another person I enjoyed listening to on you tube. Stephan Molyneux just blamed women for every problem in the world today. He said women only vote for free stuff because they have children that they cannot afford to take care of without a man. I made a choice at a very young age to not have children. Why, because basically I don’t like the ruddy little buggers. I have spent my entire life working my butt off in predominately “male” jobs. I do not need a child to complete my life. He was ragging on women for destroying Europe out of their need to have the government take care of them. Yes, a lot of women have children out of wedlock and take up a lot of government spending to support them. A whole lot of women do not! Trump received 43% of the female vote. Sorry for the rant, but I am sick of men blaming women for all the ills in the world. Where are the men of Europe standing up to the rape of their women. I know that all the guys here are true American Patriots, but a lot of the so called men in all countries have turned into Pajama Boy. To turn around and blame women for the mess the world is in really ticks me off! Should the unthinkable happen and we need to call to arms, I will proudly stand with each and every one of you to protect my country.

Ditto here… no kids,,, male type job…. I decided at a young age I had to support myself.(and to help my mother) . I had to have a plan,,, I do respect the woman who see having children as fulfillment, a lifetime dream.. I have to wonder about our entitlement system that seems to encourage people to have a bunch of kids for they payout. This is not a concept, I have heard someone actually come out and say this, and laughed about it. I suppose I am old enough now that I just hear someone with Stephan Molyneux’s absurd comments and think “what an idiot”.

men are kinda sick of women blaming them for “leering at them” or “harassing” them while wearing clearly sexually provocative clothing and makeup that was designed to attract men (or sometimes other women)…..women started a lot of this stuff. A traditional male female parenthood produced offspring to continue a culture and society…and whatever is modeled or demonstrated to the offspring will determine the direction of the future.

While I believe that women should dress modestly in public, there is NO excuse for men to be “leering” at women, or “harassing” them. It is my experience that some men need no enticement, but will use any excuse when they have been called out for their behavior.
Men are responsible for their actions, as are women. No excuses.

That’s not at all what I said, joshua. Men, and women, are each responsible for their behavior. A man may NOT use a woman’s bad behavior to excuse his own, and vice versa.

Sometimes you can find good puzzles at thrift stores, more often than not a used puzzle has a piece missing… sighs

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

man..new dilemma here….my little Austrian Cattle Dog brought a baby rabbit kit in and layed it on the floor of his cage bed…tiny, looks like maybe a week old eyes still closed, squeeking a bit. The dog was proud of his find, but now I have to get momma rabbit to return to the nest, and I think I found it, and have placed the kit on a towel right next to the burrow…temp is ok during day, and I folded towel a bit over him so he won’t get wind on him…nest is in a patch of Asian Jasmin, in the middle of back yard…so will have to restrict the dogs somehow from that area…but no guarantee momma is coming back…no other litter kids in the burrow, but a lot of rabbit fur and a burrow place for babies….man, am worried about baby….I love my rabbits and have a constant issue keeping the dogs peaceful with them….they can have the squirrels or any rats, but my bunnies are my babies too. I don’t have much hope, but God takes care of his bitties like He plans it…..the dogs are just being true to being dogs…have a Girl older dachs and the two are partners in chasing squirrels, but she never wants to Catch anything. He actually got a squirrel once, so he can outrun most anything around except an adult rabbit. Hope I am doing what is best. Baby is too young for me to attempt to feed or to help….and momma probably feeds about every four hours or so and stays away to not attract predators from the nest otherwise….I know her hiding places mostly, but do not see her so far. Just trying to stay away and hope the baby lives for his momma to come get him.

Thanks Lovely. I inherited a pet rat from one of my sons when they were too young for a pet. He sat in my shirt pocket and watched TV with me at night while I rubbed his ears. He would come when I called his name too. I think this baby is too young for saving it by a human…wild bunny, very difficult to feed and special food needed too…and no way to handle a “thumper” in the house with two wild and wooley dogs that are family to us all as well. I got to give this baby to the Lord and pray momma comes home for him.

Yeah, our border collie mix Daisy was sitting out in the back yard a year or so ago all intent like. I went out to see what she was doing and a momma rabbit was moving her rabettes around. She’d left three in the grass and Daisy gound them and sat next to them doing overwatch. Momma rabbit didn’t quite get the scheme so she was hiding in the bushes, afraid to come back. We brought Daisy in and momma rushed back to grab the kids. Some days you just can’t do a rabbit a favor…
She’s also good with purple martin fledglings.

I walked in at 9:05, clocked in without saying a word, Walked back to the dry-storage to grab an apron, saw K. at the ice machine, filling a bucket, our FOH manager — kindest woman I’ve ever worked with — and told her if he subjects us all to another day like that, that I would put in my two-week notice, almost-but-not-quite wept, and started working on the inevitable pile of dishes.
I said to Chef while putting some utensils away next to him, “Chef? You almost gave me a nervous breakdown yesterday.” He said “Me?” I nodded, and went back to work. It was a slow day, albeit a long one, which we needed after the last three days.
We never spoke another word about it, all day. But he was kind and cool-headed all day, too. I made him think, and I bet K. talked to him, too. He doesn’t want to lose me, and he needs to be professional enough to not bring morale down by complaining all day about things beyond any of our control. It was a good day.

{{hug}} It is hard to be around someone who does that. I know.

Maybe I deserve it. I was that person. All day. Loudly bitchin’, banging stuff, slamming doors. For years.
Thanks, Ausmom.
I seriously prayed that Chef would lose his voice for three months last night. “In Jesus’ Holy Name, Amen.”
Worked for me.

My sympathies, all the NOLA chefs I ever worked functions with were as nice as could be. Then again I was armed but these were the pre-Katrina chefs who’d come up thru the ranks and were people-oriented. Prudhomme, Susan Spicer, Leah Chase, Lee Barnes, Buster Holmes and a host of others, all salt-of-the-earth people-people, great people msking great food.

Le Pen, the French Trump, has made the runoff with less conservative Macron. Macron drew more overall votes so let’s see who the leftist voters go for…or if they just stay home. If France doesn’t close its border and get a hand on illegal immigration we msy see a replay of the DeGaulle years but with conservative rioters.
