    Trying to look at the pic and think pleasant thoughts. Two older dogs sneeeeaaaaked out and found something that had been dead longer than Hillary’s dreams. After a hot day chainsawing juvenile oaks I had to wash two dogs who really wanted to continue smelling like the ’08 DNC platform.

    The latest accusation against O’Reilly came Tuesday when a lawyer for an unidentified clerical worker said the host called the employee “hot chocolate” (she is black) and leered at her.

    “That’s not the Bill O’Reilly I know,” countered Borelli, who has been on The O’Reilly Factor about a dozen times since becoming a Fox News contributor in 2009. “This happened in 2008. I question the timing, and I don’t know why she isn’t revealing her name. It’s like a dog pile here. What does she have to gain? That’s my question.”

      I’ve been wondering about that myself.

      The problem with alleging sexual harassment/ sexual assault these days is that after all the liars, I’m not willing to believe anyone until they have solid proof. Claims that someone did something to a woman are pretty irrelevant unless 1) she can prove it, or 2) the media studiously ignores the claim.

      I should feel bad about this tendency, but the truth of the matter is, I don’t. After Duke Lacrosse, and ESPECIALLY Rolling Stone (“We don’t have to apologize for lying through our teeth because sure we slandered a lot of people but we did it for a good reason!” – Rolling Stone), prove it.

      Now all of a sudden Bill O’Reilly is getting accused of this. My suspicion meter is going off.

        This is a weapon they can use. Just like shooting innocent people, the damage is still done. Society no longer demands rigid accountability for journalists, they, and the media they work for, are no longer held accountable in any way.

        So this tactic is just one more arrow in their quiver. I don’t know why it is, but just as in times past there used to be a lot of men who would lie about sleeping with women to claim prowess they didn’t have, or accuse women who worked hard of sleeping their way to the top, it seems now there are no one of women who claim to have been sexually harassed.

        these snowflake lawyered up women need to understand what my old gramma said, “sticks and stones may break my bones, but WORDS will never hurt me”….what a pathetic dialog on WOMEN that they cannot take some foul treatment by MEN without suing and trying to RUIN the MAN….pathetic. Women today are like African Americans that cry VICTIM for something that is meaningless out side their private little egos.

          And yet somehow these same women allege that they can do the same things a man can and deserve equal treatment compared to a man, unless a man compliments their outfit or tells a lewd joke within their hearing. Then you’ve got to break out the fainting couches and smelling salts until the “I am woman hear me roar” brigade gets over their case of the vapors.

          Well, I walked into big meeting,,, the VP’s conference room, big deal,, and a guy looked at me, smiled and said “Amwick, I’d like to throw you on the table and do you”! See the thing of it is.. even though that sounded really bad, this guy was a nut case, I knew that I knew he said it totally as a joke…He had a history of saying wacky things to everyone, everybody around… Dealing, as I did with guys, all the time,, you had to understand their mysterious ways… You can’t keep looking for problems.

      Operant word being ‘alleged’. MSM started using ‘alleged’ in their biased coverage of perps-of-note not to seem biased but over the decades it’s become “he’s really guilty as sin-wink-wink”. You can allege anything as, if you parse it, it’s a cksim, not an assertion.

    No one has raised more money for veterans then Bill O’Reilly. The profits from his books mostly go to charity. When it was clear our vets needed these new all access wheelchairs it was BOR who took up the cause and thanks to him today many veterans have access to places they could never have gone otherwise. Fisher House has been another huge beneficiary of BOR fundraising.

    A black school band wanted to travel to the inauguration of President Trump..They didn’t have the money to go.. In one day thanks to his program BOR raised the money they needed and more for uniforms and equipment. He did things like this all the time. While people like Soros bleeds this country dry for their own evil desires,

    BOR truly helped a lot of every day American’s through his program.. Someone want to show me where Tucker has done this? Where anyone on the Five have done anything like this [I am sick of Dana and her dog BTW]….. Hannity did some, but not one person as FOX was as generous charity-wise as BOR!

    I don’t even like O’Reilly, and didn’t watch his show even when I still had cable! However … unless there is more evidence that he has seriously sexually harassed these women, I remain skeptical that this is railroading by the likes of Gloria Allred and her daughter, Lisa Bloom (who also represented Trump’s accusers), and Media Matters harassing advertisers.

    There is also the consideration that the scandal threatened Murdochs SKY Broadcasting purchase in the UK.

    Another FB comment that I agree with:

    It’s time we learned exactly what this “sexual harassment was.

    Unwanted flirting or comments or repeated asking for dates?

    Inappropriate touching?

    Pressure for sex?

    Forced physical advances?

    A guy loses a $20 million/yr job and has his career ended, if it’s unjust, we should be told more.

    Probably his $100,000,000 severance is being held hostage.

    This Day in History: The Gunpowder Incident nearly incites rebellion in Virginia

    On this day in 1775, the Gunpowder Incident takes place, nearly inciting rebellion in Virginia. Naturally, the conflict was created by guns, ammunition . . . and a British attempt to confiscate them.

    How unsurprising that our ancestors wrote the 2nd Amendment, with incidents such as these inspiring them. 🙂

    King George III had been limiting the inflow of guns and ammunition into the American colonies for months. His Governors were to “take the most Effectual Measures for Arresting, detaining and securing any Gunpowder or any sort of Arms or Ammunition,” unless a royal license could be produced.

    It was basically an 18th-century version of gun control, wasn’t it? The American colonists were furious!

    You already know that the shots at Lexington and Concord were sparked by British General Thomas Gage’s attempt to seize ammunition stores. But you may not know what was happening in Williamsburg that same week. Colonists there were patrolling their own town. They’d heard a rumor that the Royal Governor, Lord Dunmore, was preparing to seize their gunpowder.

    The rumor was true! Patrick Henry had just delivered his “Liberty or Death” speech, and Dunmore was worried. “[T]heir having come to a resolution,” he would write, “of raising a body of armed men . . . made me think it prudent to remove some gunpowder which was in a magazine . . . .”

      Some decades ago one of my profs brought in some books on the Bill of Rights. Seems that as the Constitution was being built there were chroniclers who followed the various Amendments as they were hammered out. The 2nd Amendment was put so far up on the list as there was a British policy of securing their colonies by eliminating as many opportunities for rebellion and return to self-rule as possible and preventing access to weapons was right behind limiting the freedom to even talk about freedom.
      Look at the Brit’s weapons policies right up through Ireland, in every country they invaded and made their own property throughout their history. One of their msin sticking points during the attempted resolution of The Troubles was the IRA had to turn in to the Brits all of their weapons. The Irish would be allowed to have their government but the British would be allowed to freely crush it any time they felt like it.
      Note the EU, while blah-blahing on and on about freedom, self-determination and a new era of quasi-democracy in Europe has kept strict gun control and is sloooowly turning the screws on freedom of speech. The Founders knew there is a perpetual class of despots who just hang around waiting for the opportunity to snatch control from a distracted and complacent public and put in the first two Amendments for a reason. A benign rule by oligarchs is Ok for most Europeans and homegrown Arkansas trailertrash oligarchs supported by foreign nazi-lites seems to be acceptable to many Americans.
      Just imagine an America where you are unarmed and the Clintons’ supporters are.

      I never knew the word. Funny thing: I’ve been loving people for a long time now, actively, whether I like them or not. When people ask why, I tell them “Because I am commanded to.”

      I understood the word Mitzvah. I always have. Just did not know the word.

      Many Jews believe that Pope John Paul ll was blessed by G_d and became pope because of a particular mitzvah he performed.

      An infant child was given to a Christian couple during the Holocaust to save the child’s life as his parents were certain that they were soon to be killed but if by some miracle they survived the war the child was to be returned to them. The child lived with the Christian family for years and the Christian family never heard back from the young Jewish couple. Years went by and still no word from the parents came and the Christian couple presumed the birth parents dead.

      One day a young priest had a couple come to them with a dilemma. The couple told the priest their tale, they told the young priest that they had heard through happenstance that the Jewish couple had survived. The Christian couple said not only did they love the child as their own (I believe they were childless but this is from memory) and they felt it was their moral obligation to raise the child in a house that recognized the divinity of christ.

      The young priest smiled and told them true believer in Christ would not choose to live a lie or break a promise made to desperate parents. The Christian couple found a way to get in touch with the Jewish couple and the Jewish child was reunited with his parents.

      The young priest’s name was Karol Józef Wojtyla.

    Bews is reporting that Israel is saying it’s sure Assad still has between obe and three tons of chemical weapons left, no surprise there. France an independent NGO are saying they now have proof that Sarin or a Sarin-like weapon was used in the attack on Ghouta.
    I had the feeling that was going to be the case ( OK, I understated the ‘understanding’ part) and one of the keys was how early-on the progs, Moslem cheering section and Russophiles were out trying to spin fairytales about what happened. Now the Usual Suspects are going to gave to gin-up the alttruth machine to cover this inevitability.

    Watching Fox news, breaking news is the discovery, by some DoD-backed scientists, of a substance in Komodo Dragon blood that not only is very antibacterial but speeds wound healing. First tests will be on necrotizing fasciitis. Blond airhead talkinghead spent about a quarter of the time going on with one of the scientists on the discovering team about how to soothe people worried about the dragons being hurt by the removal of the pinhead-size drop of plasma they need to replicate the new drug.
    Dear whiners: if I were to have a huge, rotting, gaping wound that the strongest antibiotics available couldn’t even scratch I’d cut the head of a @&$*%# Komodo Dragon and rub its still twitching body all over me if I thought it would help. Need a pinhead-sized drop of Komodo Dragon blood? Mop it up from the pools they leave after a dragon frat party.

    Prior to the Cuban Missole Crisis the US had nuclear missiles in Turkey to threaten Russia and protect Turkey. The miseiles were removed but there was a tacit agreement that the US would use its own nukes to shield Turkey from a Russian attack.
    Clinton got rid of most US tactical nukes and the Russians promised to do likewise. That leaves NATO Turkey as the largest military power in the Mideast and our primary bulwark against Iran. If Iran goes nuclear will we move nukes back into Turkey or, not very likely, allow Turkey to go nuke?

    First the drunken FBI agent shoots at police cars then his partner shows up at the police station drunk as a Congressman. I like the way the police turned a dead eye at the partner being drunk and showing up armed. You get potted and show up at the local police station and see what happens.

      Your description reminds me of stories I was told out here in the Seattle area from the early 1900’s where one of the locals and the county Sheriff were drinkin’ buddies, and how they would play cops and robbers, drunk, and have shootouts behind trees, houses, and woodpiles.

      Great idea. Number One: if enough vets start to leave the bureaucratic VA for REAL healthcare based on market forces the VA will either have to get its act cleaned up or dissolve. I could go to the New Orleans VA where LSU medical students could get to practice their latest lessons on me or stay with the internationally known medical organization I’m presently with. I go 45 miles to my hospital’s localish branch, it’s about 68 miles to the NOLA VA and about 75 miles to my hospital’s main campus if I need the really big guns.
      Number Two: vets get treated like paying customers rather than interruptions in some medical bureaucrat’s salaried day. The VA doesn’t depend on satisfied patients for its existence, it can apparently even kill its patients and walk free. In just the immediate NOLA area we have a ton of private hospitals who compete tor patients, who depend on patients and not taxpayers for their paychecks. They have to actively compete for patients and provide good enough service for people to come back and not move to another provider.
      Number Three: civilian doctors have to have a higher level of competence than their VA counterparts as they have to have expensive malpractice insurance. It ain’t cheap to begin with but if you have screwups it gets so expensive you can’t afford it and you’re out of a job…OK, you can go work for the VA but that’s another issue. The VA screws you up like Hogan’s goat and you’re stuck filling out a Standard Form 95 ‘Claim for Wrongful Death or Injury’ for an administrative hearing or sue in Federal Court under the Federal Tort Claims Act and hope your claim gets settled before the Srcond Coming.
      Go Trump!

        Think about it….the VA screws up and kills your vet relative/loved one. You have to fill out a Standard Form for claims on injury or wrongful death, and why is such a form needed, and wait for a bureaucratic government hearing to decide not only if another bureaucratic government entity caused negligent injury but what they feel said injury is worth.

        I have been trying for three years to even get an answer from the VA if I qualify. Just got off the phone with my primary civilian doctor who thinks he is in charge of my life! We came to a fairly reasonable détente. He shorted me on my BP meds to extort me into making an appointment. The “adventures” I have had the last few months did not leave a lot of room or desire for a routine check up. I am on Medicaid right now, but that will probably end next month due to the fact I will be receiving Social Security. The money I will be receiving will surpass the Medicaid limit. It will not give me enough to buy my own insurance. I have reached the point where I really don’t care anymore. My current doctor, at the end of our conversation agreed not to cut me off from my meds, but encouraged me to make an appointment in the next month or so. I had already planned to do that. I have never had much faith in the medical profession and that has only gotten worse in the last few years. I believe it is all about the money! I live in a very rural, poor county. My doctor lives in a mansion on the hill with a swimming pool, driving range and a housekeeper. He also owns a condo in ski country so his kids can become medalist skiers. Nice life, while you milk the patients!

          I live in a poor, rural county where fatcats from NOLA and Hattiesburg come to build Mac Mansions. I used a local med facility for convenience and myndoc missed my diabetes and kidney involvement, I now drive 45 miles one way for med care with docs I choose based on recommendations from nurses I trust.
          VA still tries to recruit my treatment thru civilian scalpers hired with our tax dollars, I politely (sometimes) refuse. Our brand new, shiny VA hospital is partnered with the brand new, shiny LSU teaching hosputal which, since its opening, has been hit by financing cuts by a badly cash-strapped state. So not only do we have the butcher bureaucracy to deal with but its state partner trying to run a state-of-the-art medical teaching center on a corner lemonade stand budget.
          Sometimes it’s a tossup between who’s gonna fo ya the most worst but I generally lean towards using civilian docs. If you have insurance, trust me, they know how to squeeze every payment drop out of you they can. I don’t go in with the attitude that I’m a broken penitent begging for his/her ministrations, I keep it businesslike without being insulting or pushy but I let it be known I’m not going to be run around…another reason my local med provider is now my ex-med provider.
          Yeah, docs around here have big flashy houses and estates too but as long as they’re treating me as they should I don’t care what they do with their money. They’re not Doctors Without Borders so if its cash and flash they want, fine, just treat me to the best of your abilities and we’re fine. Don’t and I vote…with my feet.

          BTW, VA problems are a GREAT way to bedevil your Federal,Senators’ offices, especially if you use a VFW or American Legion rep as a pointy stick.

            Post reminded me that I had a letter from the VA I needed to deal with again. Seems they say that I never sent them a copy of my DD214 even though they worked my previous claim that required a copy of it. My wurstion is: since they have all of the paperwork from the doctors necessary to work the claim and they have proof of my being a vet as I already have a claim there, will al work processing that claim cease until they receive yet another copy of the DD214?
            The national call center, the forefront of the VA that’s supposed to be the able to answer your questions, has no idea. Now one would presume that having the doc’s paperwork and a previous claim would give them enough to start the tortuous process of getting pissant bureaucrats to agree that reallife doctors working in a private setting might know what they’re saying, but I’m betting my paperwork’s sitting in some squirrelette’s ‘HOLD’ basket. An action passed is an action completed.

      France soldiers under Charles Msrtel were the first Europeans to send the Moslem murdering hoardes packing, kicking their asses at the Battle of Tours. Time for France to step up again and show them that civilization isn’t about to be turned back to the 7th century without a fight.

    We did miss the 22nd anniversary of the OKC Murrah building yesterday though, 22 years and still more questions than answers.
