Nice pix change. After a full day outside with us, ‘carrying sticks to help us’, running around expending more energy than anyone’s entitled to have and finding every mud puddle within 20 acres the two terrier mixes are asleep with me on the recliner. After a bath each, of course.

No walk in the park here either, but they were just a wee bit more tired than we were so we won.
There’s something soothing about watching two young dogs, especially terriers, tearing up ground as they run around at light speed, barking, chasing, jumping over things and banging into each other. You can fantasize about having such energy now that you could really appreciate it.

I wonder (Czar and Col. Ken, help.)

It it outside the realm of possibility that the US, Russia, and China, are ALL steaming toward North Korea and working together, while pretending for the Only Fat Person In North Korea to be threatening each other?

Trump wrote a book on making deals.

    Just sayin’.

Ain’t gonna happen. Hasn’t so far, won’t in the future. We in the United States cannot even stretch our imagination far enough to get a halfway accurate picture of the hopelessness and oppression of their lives. The people will not rise up. Maybe the top men, but I would guess they would never do anything like that unless the behind the scenes puppet masters from China tell them to. Then, yeah, they will do what the real master says.

China and the US, yes, definately, but Russia…I think not. NK was a promary Russian client state for decades and, to someextent, still is. NK’s been handy for China too but is not a Chihese puppet and is too unpredictable.
If,as I said, you draw an arc from any place in NK to the US west coast or Australia’s north coast and then extend that arc into a circle that includes China you’ll see every city in China is well inside of that circle. What’s to say our little NK nutjob won’t get upset at China and start threatening it? China also doesn’t want to see NK start another major war on the peninsula, it ain’t 1950 no mo’.
I’m betting China might agree to join the US in muzzling NK, or even do it itself, if it meant an ending to the still-ongoing Korean War, a unification of Korea into a productive trading partner and the withdrawal of US troops from Korea to Japan. The US leaving Korea would mean tne US would have no basing on mainland Asia leaving China as top dog.
The US has the wildcard to play with China that, were Japan to feel threatened by a nuke NK, it would want its own nuke deterrence and that option makes China very nervous. China agrees to NK neutralization and US pulls back to Japan guaranteeing no Need for Japan to have nukes.

Possible but without knowing the specifics there’s no telling. It could have been someone messing with the control comms between the ground and the missile or just the worst and last day in the life of some NK missile crew chief.
If the US did have a way to mess up a missile launch it would be way above the pay grades of even loose-lipped contractors to access.

Vox Day’s pontifications on this, he seems to be thinking what I’ve been thinking.

        http://voxday.blogspot.com/2017/04/warning-signal-or-support.html

So, Japan is activating more ships in the area, but this is not seen as a “warning signal” because the Japanese are known to be allied with the USA and even more concerned about the North Koreans. It seems to me that it is at least as likely that the Chinese and Russian intelligence ships are there to assist the strike group as serve as any kind of deterrent to it.

It’s important not to take ANY of the public announcements from any party too seriously. Remember, in war, the first casualty is truth. It’s not in anyone’s interests to inform the enemy exactly what it is that they are doing, or intending to do.

At this point, given all the global publicity being devoted to the Carl Vinson group, it would appear to be the most likely candidate for being a feint while the real attack comes from somewhere, or even someone, else.

Beginning to look like the New Reality is that NK’s a threat to everyobe’s rice bowl. Russia can cut NK loose as it’s interests are largely elsewhere and it doesn’t really need its NK base as much as it did. China can live with a unified Korea and the Nutjob gone and all three working together sorta shows that even his old supporters are upset with him.
Let’s not forget that having Russian and Chinese intel ships there gives all three navies the chance to collect operational intel on each other in as close to a ‘hot’ situation as they can.

Still pushing this chip. The FM stereo chip on the Sega Genesis (Megadrive in Nippon), was even more astounding, in that it was able to be pushed beyond what it’s makers ever dreamed of.

Enthusiasts are still playing with HO, O, and Z scale model railroads.

Why wouldn’t they still be pushing the limits of these old systems?

Ah, goodness. It’s so fun to have witnessed.

I remember in 87 or so, ESI. Crackers of software copy protection on C64 games, of which there were many. They put Rush lyrics in their scroll. Along with shoutouts to other cracking-demo-making crews who had proved themselves to have similarly shown their chops.

Most of the crackers got hired by the companies whose floppies they cracked, because of the demos they appended to the games when they cracked ’em.

This was made last year. This system was obsolete two decades ago.

Thing is, once you’ve let the government into something it takes on government dimensions. TSA’s a government entity and, like all of them, it sees its survival depending on mission creep. They have to continually push the borders of what they do and can do forward to stay relevant and not become just another run-of-the-mill Federal agenct…think of Hollywood ingenue with the power to ruin your life.

    Hidden in Plain View

During WW II Lockheed (unbelievable 1940s pictures). This is a version of special effects during the 1940’s. I have never seen these pictures or knew that we had gone this far to protect ourselves. During World War II the Army Corps of Engineers needed to hide the Lockheed Burbank Aircraft Plant to protect it from a possible Japanese air attack. They covered it with camouflage netting to make it look like a rural subdivision from the air.

Yeah, Brits painted over whole factories and even bases to make them look like fields. When I was in Germany in the early 60s there were places in tunnels along the Autobahn where airplane factories had been built. The planes were built in underground factories with doors allowing the planes tontaci right out onto the autobahn and take off.
Bavaria and Austria were particular favorites for underground factories, there’s one complex still sealed up that’s reported to have over twenty-five miles of underground tunnels and manufacturing space. Nothing ramps up human ingenuity like war.

I wonder how those truck-mounted speakers in the 50s would compare to today’s festival concert loudspeakers, especially with regard to frequency response and loudness?

Or even to the big floor-standing Realistic livingroom speakers we had from Radio Shack in the late 80s?

Those WW2 guys, System D practitioners that they were, came home and MADE Radio Shack. And Bose. And Klipsch.

I’m not saying I love war, but it certainly, when done well, has practical benefits to society as a whole. We just haven’t done it well since then. We wanted to win, then.

I think the pendulum is swinging back. I hope it is.

I keep thinking about “Le Systeme D” lately. I heard about it reading Bourdain, a few years ago, in his book The Nasty Bits.

That’s what this is. “CA … ca c’est System D.”

The Nasty Bits by Anthony Bourdain

The relevant chapter. It’s what the best kitchen workers do, from chefs to dishwashers. The best contractors and even their lowly helpers do System D. Make it happen, in an adverse situation. And so do the best people in our government and its agencies.

We rag on our government, but they do some pretty impressive things sometimes.

A picture tells a thousands words. The ignorant chick who was there to bring back a 100 “Nazi” scalps is now being portrayed by the Left as a poor helpless damsel. And Nathan’s self defense punch is being described as a sucker punch.

And two points 1) Nathan was under no obligation to allow this rabid woman to assault him and 2) according to the Left assuming a person’s gender by their outward appearance or even their genitalia is an unforgivable aggression in and of itself. So for all Nathan knew he was being attacked by a man.

Reality is a funny thing when it bites liberals in the derrière.

He hates the vet so I had to carty his 60-pound noncompliant butt into the office. Just as I ealked up to the desk, stil holding Lucky, he had another seizure. He’s now on phenobarbital and a wee bit of valium and we go back in two weeks for a blood test to measure barb levels.
BTW, there was a ladybwith a brand new ‘Stella’ puppy in the vets getting an initial checkup and another woman with two brand new ciated Zauber pups. I hope that’s a positive omen.

Our pitbull/German shepherd (about the bestest dog we ever had) was on phenobarbitol the last several years of his life. Finally that could not even control the situation, and he died, in my arms, in a terminal seizure – unfortunately when I was home alone. Absolutely grievous nightmare. Up until the last ten days or so, it had controlled them so we did not recognize the escalation for what it was.

We’ll see where this goes. He’s just under a year old now and this didn’t start until a few weeks ago so we don’t have an idea of if anything particular triggers them. It ‘s really upsetting to the other dogs when Lucky has a seizure, today we ended up with the other dogs getting into a threeway fight while Lucky was having his seizure. Lucky came around within about five minutes of having the seizure, other dogs were still posturing hours later.

I am so sorry about Lucky and his seizures. I went through that with an older dog…It was so long ago, but I believe she had some kind of valium… Hope you will get this under control for him..

Thanks. From the time I picked him up off the road he’s slept on my shoulder, When I first put him in the truck I sat him in my lap but he immediately climbed up my shirt and put his head on my shoulder. Right now, at 60 pounds, he is up on my left side with his head on my shoulder. He’s worth the effort.

We’re at where we’re at. I just have to watch to make sure he doesn’t get into trouble outside and is seperated from the other dogs when we’re out. Amazing to watch the other dogs’ reactions, first thing that comes to mind is: “who the (beep) is that dog and where did it come from?”.

So sorry Czar. We had a 5 pound poodle who had seizures but I was a kid and don’t remember what my parents did for it. I’ll keep your pup in my prayers 🙏🏼. Hopefully the medication helps him.

    • Bless you, czar, for loving Lucky so much. You are fortunate to have found each other. Prayers that the medications provide the relief he needs and that he can just enjoy being a pup. ❤️

It seems that Louise Rosealma would not condemn her Antifa brethren tossing M-80’s at patriots and even knocking over an elderly lady.

Of course she has a Gofundme set up 🙄. and unless she is under 5 feet tall (andI don’t think she is) there is no way she is 95 pounds.

She states she is 95 pounds. She doesn’t look short when she is attacking Nathan and she isn’t chubby but she isn’t painfully thin so I think she says that she is a 95 pound damsel in distress to gain sympathy for her cause not really because she is a slight woman. I could be wrong she just doesn’t look waif-like to me.

There is some extremely gross stuff on Twitter about this antifa person. She’s a real low-life.

She is definitely disgusting, saying that she is going to hunt for 100 “Nazi” scalps, (One an see the total collapse of rational thought in the Antifa calling patriots Nazis) she charged at Nathan fists going for his face. She also said that she thought it was fine for Antifa animals to throw M-80’s at old ladies. Self promoting hairy porn star from what I read.

All that said the picture with her and the bottle is photoshopped.

This video shows her before, during and after attacking Nathan and she doesn’t have a bottle.

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen

I saw. I didn’t get an invite so I’m guessing he is just touring the Snap plant? Local news is out trying to get people to complain about the inconvenience of POTUS being in their town 🙄. They didn’t get anything but people who are happy he is coming so they ended the segment quickly.

Likely Milwaukee and Chicago will be shipping in protestors.

        • It’s incredibly sad that the media is determined to be negative about President Trump all the time. It has to be very draining for him to hear/see it when he’s working so hard to fix things. God bless him for persevering.

Watching avpiece on how Congress is not expanding the imigration visa program that brings Afghanis who interpreted or US military to the US as our involvement winds down. Seems there are only about 1700 visas left until about 2020 but some13,000 Afghanis who worked for us who, along with their families, are marked for death for having helped us.
I’m embarassed at times for being an American. In WWII we forcably repatriated cossacks who’d fought against Stalin back to Stalin who immediately executed them and their families. In Vietnam we abandoned thousands who’d worked for us, letting the Communists execute them and their families or put them into reeducation camps. We did it in Iraq and now we’re doing it in Afghanistan and we’ll do it again in our next war. We’ll promise them safety and, when they’re no longer needed, we walk off and leave them.
Thebprogram’s irony in uding Sen McCain’s speech decrying those in the government who’d abandon those who’ve risked their lives for the US wasn’t lost on me, matter of fact I’m still trying to scrape some of the irony off the floor.
