Yeah, a good start but nowhere enough. If you have a farm/ranch you are using gas/diesel cans regularly to refil tanks on everything from chainsaws to tractors. Since the stupid 2009 EPA mandated standards you are now more likely to spill fuel than you were with the old ones.
The EPA changes to design ignored human behavior as well. Obebof the reasons the changes were made was toprevent fools from pouring gas out of the nozzle onto a going fire. There were a few cases of idiots doing so and getting burned so the EPA made the nozzle so that it couldn’t be used to pour without some real bodily contortions. Wow, Mr and Ms Beltway Bureaucrat, great planning but did it ever occur to you Bubba will just unscrew your super-nozzle and pour the gas directly out?
And that’s just one thing out of many. Ya know, Mr Trump, once ya got them out-of-work EPA employees in hand why don’t ya sendb’em out here, they can help clean up the mess they’ve made over the last few decades.
LikeLiked by 6 people
That’s why folks buy similar water containers (without the super nozzle) and use those for diesel or gas.
LikeLiked by 4 people
I can’t even find the one gallon nerd-free nozzles, I have two old ones left I use for the chainsaws and just take the spills on larger equipment as part of the cost of doing business.
LikeLiked by 1 person
That’s why I have plenty of the old cans.
Although there is a racing fuel jug you can still buy that is made like the old cans, it’s just more expensive. It’s like all their stupid regulations and there are loop holes.

Can’t tell ya how much diesel I’ve spilled trying to swing a 35- pound ‘can’ of it up and into a tractor tank while balancing on the frame. I’m looking at buying a few NATO jerry cans when they become available.
LikeLiked by 2 people
You can get the racing fuel jugs in 5, 8 and 10 gallons.
I actually saw some at Atwoods the other day and they were labeled for diesel, but I didn’t investigate to see if they just looked like the racing jugs or were actually made like the racing jugs.

I found a Brit source for military cans I’m going to try, they are built to be hailed around more easily. I also have a couple of old GI brackets for gerry cans I can fix to the old tractor.

Check out your closest GSA public surplus store(s). We stopped in ours last Sat. and they had 5 gal milspec Jerry cans for $30 per pallet. About a buck a piece. http://www.publicsurplus.com/state,wa The inventory changes by the minute.

Good idea bu we’re pretty well out of that here, closest GSA property disposal is about 70 miles and there’s a TAG close buy so they get first crack at the good stuff. In all it’s just easier and cheaper to have UPS drop a few NATO cans at my door.

Find you a flea market or consignment/estate auctions. I have more gas cans than I will ever need because I always buy them when I see them.

Yeah, our GSA is 1 1/2 – 2 hours away too, but when we go to town gotta make it as productive as possible. We make a full day of it anyway. Must be a holdover from the Jimmah Cawter days when we had to be rationed gas…

Gold or copper? Sorta like the old Kaiparowitz coal project in Utah where Feds were going to allow a California company to dig up hundreds of square miles what they called ‘useless desert’ to get to the coal and divert water from a major river to sluice the coal dust to a plant wherebit would be compressed into bricks to burned. The plant they’d build would burn that coal, sending smoke hundreds of miles east, and provide electrical power for Southern California. At the end there’d be a useless plant and a huge hole in the ground.
A good part of power generated would be lost in the resistance of the wires transmitting the power to California, sonevwags estimated that good 30% would have been lost between Utah generation and California user receipt, while some estimated even more of a loss than that. Luckily it failed but not without a fight from environmentally conscious California and the Feds to keep it.

Indeed. Or even back during the time of Walter Duranty.
We live in strange days, when the very people the Russians actively produced — by long-marching through our institutions — are using Russia as their boogeyman.
It’s surreal to witness.
I wonder if these people will take their Russophobia, run with it, and actually learn what the Russians have been doing to America since the early 1900s?
Imagine hundreds of thousands of Obamas waking up and realizing that they were made, and that they were made to be used by Communism.
It’s a fond dream of mine. That and blacks also waking up to the same fact, all at once.

Schumer is on Fox right now calling for Sessions resignation and at the very least that a special prosecutor be appointed by the deputy Attorney General who is an Obama appointee. If this doesn’t happen he is urging McConnel and Ryan to change the law and figure out how to appoint a special counsel.
Again I really think booting Flynn was a mistake.
I hope that President Trump puts a heavy boot on the neck of this nonsense.

I’m really on the fence about Flynn getting the boot. If he was disloyal I understand that and he needed to be removed. President Trump continued to sing Flynn’s praises after he fired him so I have my doubts that Flynn was disloyal. If I was President Trump I would be very suspicious of the person who put the bug in my ear to let Flynn go. There is of course much that I can’t possibly know but firing Flynn was a win for the evil forces.
Dismissing Flyn gave the optics to the Russians are in bed with Trump nincompoopery and it emboldened the MSM, the RNC, the DNC, and all the filth who are trying to sabotage this presidency. They do not see Flynn as an individual but as the first domino.
Sessions is next in line. I hope that President Trump comes out and says that he supports Sessions and that Sessions did nothing wrong when he talked to Russian Ambassadors and was under no obligation to report what he did which was unrelated to the campaign. President Trump should also get together a list of Clinton campaign workers who had contact with Russia which I believe include Hillary herself.
They need to stomp this down. Bigly.

Something has been bugging me all day, besides the whole attacking Jeff Sessions thing. This is the SAME Russian Amb. who passed on info about Flynn, I believe. Gen. Sessions says he really doesn’t know why the Amb. asked to meet with him. It wasn’t clear from their discussion. What if the whole purpose was to set some people up in collusion with Dem. operatives? What if this was a plan? So, the Russian connection was actually with the Hillary people.

Hi Gang!
From “A Book of Days in American History” and elsewhere: March 2
1809: “Never did a prisoner released from his chains, feel such relief as I shall on shaking off the shackles of power,” writes Thomas Jefferson, his second term as president over, the prospect of retiring to his beloved Monticello ahead.
1836: Texas declares the independence of the Republic of Texas from Mexico.
1887: Congress passes the Hatch Act to set up agricultural research stations. [Laying the basis for the Ag Departments in Colleges and Universities.]
{ NOT to be confused with the Hatch Act of 1939, for the purpose of codifying what political activities federal employess may and may not participate in. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatch_Act_of_1939 }
1899: President William McKinley signed legislation creating Mount Ranier National Park.
1949: A B-50A bomber completes the world’s first nonstop global flight (94 hours) by refueling four times in midair. She was called Lucky Lady II, and was commanded by Captain James Gallagher.
1965: Operation Rolling Thunder was implemented, with 100 Air Force bombers striking an ammunition depot at Xom Bang, 10 miles into North Vietnam.
If anyone would like to add to these lists whenever I get them posted, please feel free. My list is nowhere exhaustive for important events for any given day in United States history!

Also not to be confused with the Hatch ‘act’, as in Orrin’s career as a ‘conservative’ Senator since 1977.

I never have understood why, post Vatican II, Catholics allowed priests and bishops to destroy the beauty of their churches, treat out or cover up beautiful features the original founders sacrificed and gave greatly for. In his usual head on fashion, Father Z tackles the issue.
I am not in the camp that opposes spending money on beautiful architecture and art in churches. Go back and reread God’s specifications for His Ark, and for the Temple, for the vestments, for the plates, and all the items in service in the the Temple. He didn’t shirk on the beauty, the awe, the wonder to reflect Him, among many other reasons. Anyhow, another good read.

And another one, regarding the spells being cast against the President. I urge you all to follow this excellent advice.
Prayers for protection are very effective, according to Father Lampert, but we should not just be reactionary. “We should always be proactive in our faith and praying for our leaders—both civic and religious—as a normal part of our everyday action,” he said. “I would hate to think our faith is just reactionary. Scripture tells us to pray unceasingly

Think it’s time to round up a few witches…..””.Spells, according to Father Lampert, only have an effect in people who are spiritually weak. If we are anchored in God, he said Scripture tells us we have nothing to fear. “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places,” (Ephesians 6:10-18).””

More FTA:
Coming out in the Open
Msgr. John Esseff, a priest for 63 years and an exorcist in the Diocese of Scranton, Pa. for over 40 years, said the face of the devil that is becoming more clearly seen in public. Previously, he said we saw more of what he calls an apathetic demon that appeals to the lower weaknesses of human nature such as the sexual revolution and all that comes with it.
“Then, came the apostate demon,” Msgr. Esseff said, “that denies the sacrificial nature of human life is possible. We are told we will never able to achieve this kind of holiness or goodness or unity—it just can’t be done,” he said. “This is a real apostasy; not just in politics but also in churches, convincing people that holiness is unattainable.”
Now, according to Msgr. Esseff, we are seeing the stage of the antichrist where the evil one is not afraid to show himself to humanity. Msgr. Esseff referred to Scripture: “This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.” (1 John 4: 2-3)
“It’s not Trump they are against but Jesus,” Msgr. Esseff said. “The devil is saying, ‘no way are you reigning in this country, we are coming out against you!’”
The spell is nothing to fear if our trust and our hope is in God, Msgr. Esseff said. “Anyone who would even begin to put God back into place is going to have the forces of hell against them,” he said. “Our Lady of Fatima has given us the key to deal with this: Increase prayer and reparation [such as making Five First Saturdays].
“It’s the Fatima message and it’s coming at this time of the 100th year anniversary much more clearly,” Msgr. Esseff said. “Our Lady warned us about it at Fatima where she said the final battle will be against marriage and the family. This is not about politics, it’s about God.”

My little farmer boy has became lazy since his sister was born and is soon going to have to learn farmers don’t sleep until 9 in the morning. lol
He came running in this morning and saying, “Nanny please me want eggs, cheese and sausage.”
Nanny can never refuse the little guy and fried him some sausage and whipped him up some scrambled eggs with cheese.
His mom said she told him she would make him sausage and eggs and he told her no he needed to see Nanny.

I made some homemade sausage patties this morning (lots for the coming week). A little on the dry side; the ground pork I used was probably too low in fat.
Glad your little guy is a good eater!

I’ve gotten to where I have our butcher just ground our pork and of course we also get all the fat from our hogs and I go pick it up before the rest is ready and make my own sausage. Then I make patties and links and freeze a half dozen in individual vacuum seal bags. That way I can make them like all of us like them, I prefer mild, my husband prefers hot.
The little guy has decided in the last few days he likes pb&j sandwiches. lol

They are easy enough to make, although I will add more fat next time.

He was with his uncle and he gave him a PB&J sandwich and he decided that peanut butter and jelly was good on bread. I guess he wanted to be like his uncle, because he’s always before refused to eat them.
Since then he’s asked for them. It’s still the only thing with bread he’ll eat, but it’s a start.
His mom said she made him a cheeseburger for lunch and he removed the bun and just ate the meat and cheese as usual. lol
I’m happy that he’s eating beef, forever he wouldn’t eat it either.

A whole of them have already influenced businesses in the US for a long time. It’s been over ten years since we were following/reading in SD/MN news that Sharia laws and principles were being incorporated into the paperwork of the major banking systems there – they aren’t allowed to ‘pay interest’ or ‘usury’ so the language of bank loans, etc. had to be changed to allow them to think they are not paying interest.
That happened in the early 2000s. Sharia law is already established/accepted/documented in our financial system.

No, Attorney General Jeff Sessions DID NOT Lie Under Oath
http://www.hannity.com/articles/hanpr-election-493995-493995/no-attorney-general-jeff-sessions-did-15607990/
Attorney General Jeff Sessions is the latest member of President Trump’s cabinet to find himself at the center of Red Scare 2.0.
On Wednesday evening, The Washington Post reported that in 2016 then-Senator Jeff Sessions spoke twice with Russia’s ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak. According to the report, Sessions spoke with Kislyak in July and September, once at a Heritage Foundation event that was attended by roughly 50 ambassadors, and once in his Senate office.
Attorney General Sessions has released a statement about the Washington Post’s report.
“I never met with any Russian officials to discuss issues of the campaign,” Sessions said. “I have no idea what this allegation is about. It is false.”
More at link. My patience with this @^%$*& is wearing really, really, thin.

Germany has Magic Dirt too.
“Angela Merkel announces that standing on German ground is sufficient to make one a member of the Volk:
German Chancellor Angela Merkel is facing heavy criticism for claiming the German people, or Volk, are comprised of anyone currently living in Germany regardless of their background.
The word “Volk”, or people, in German (pronounced “folk”), is a somewhat controversial term in Germany and like many German phrases has no exact English equivalent. Chancellor Merkel is now facing opposition from many, including within her own party, for claiming that anyone living in Germany is part of the Volk, which amounts to saying that all migrants are German by virtue of living in the country, Tag 24 reports.
Merkel made the comments in her home region of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania as she received the formal nomination from her party, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), to lead the party in this year’s federal election. 95 per cent of the roughly 140 delegates voted for Merkel who ran for the nomination unopposed.
“There is no justification that small groups of our society presume to define who the Volk are, the Volk is everyone who lives in this country,” Merkel said.
“These luanatics are making the historical National Socialists look sane and reasonable by comparison. The Nazis merely regarded their ethnicity to be ideal. Merkel is openly disavowing science, history, and philosophy.
“The Teutonic edition of Magic Dirt theory is no more credible or convincing than the American version. Indeed, if we are to take it seriously, we will be entirely unable to make any sense of history whatsoever. I mean, who sacked Rome? It couldn’t have been the Visigoths, because the Gothic people who crossed the Danube became Romans as soon as they settled inside the borders of the Eastern Roman Empire, regardless of their background.
“Therefore, Alaric the Roman sacked Rome in 410 AD, with the assistance of tens of thousands of other Romans, for no apparent reason.” — Vox Day

I used to think that insanity was insanity, and that was that. But, noooooooo…there is insanity and then there is INSANITY. And it continues on and on, as far as increasing font size will go (to infinity?) Merkel’s font size above is several degrees above “INSANITY”. (Many of our Dem politicians have reached that point, too, and are poised to top it.)

Know which one I would want? The one who came running to me when I bent down to look at them. That is usually how I pick them. LOL

It depends on the breed for me, but for the most part when it comes to one that is to be a pet, I always want the one that is not bouncing all over everyone else, because he/she is going to be the one who eats my shoes and bites my feet and ankles.
When it comes to LGD’s as I learned the hard way, do not pick the one that comes to you, instead choose the one who ignores you and is busy checking out his surroundings. The first one we ever got I chose the one who wouldn’t leave me alone, he made a horrible guardian because he wanted to stay at the house and would always figure a way out of the barn and then the goat fence and into the yard fence. Actually the first two we got were that way and then a breeder told me how to pick them.

After I got divorced and moved back to FL, I was thinking of getting a cocker. But, I saw this picture on the Internet of rescue dogs and fell in love at first sight. She was pretty needy, but at the same time we are compatible. Well, except for her wanting to keep anything on two legs at least a block from me. But, she is a cocker/dachsund mix. So she does look a little like a cocker in the face and has a cocker tail.Actually her face is a blend of cocker and dachsund.

The dog I had before Stella was great for guard dog duty. She wasn’t mean and didn’t bite, but had the loudest bark you have ever heard – much bigger than she was. If someone was on the other side of the door, they didn’t know that, of course. She was half Beagle and half (I think) Lab or Shepherd, and about 50 pounds.

The Brittany is considered a “soft” dog, in the sense that they are sensitive and loving, and don’t respond well to loud voices or stern training techniques. On the other hand, they are very muscular and strong, so training is very important.

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
