Yeah, a good start but nowhere enough. If you have a farm/ranch you are using gas/diesel cans regularly to refil tanks on everything from chainsaws to tractors. Since the stupid 2009 EPA mandated standards you are now more likely to spill fuel than you were with the old ones.
The EPA changes to design ignored human behavior as well. Obebof the reasons the changes were made was toprevent fools from pouring gas out of the nozzle onto a going fire. There were a few cases of idiots doing so and getting burned so the EPA made the nozzle so that it couldn’t be used to pour without some real bodily contortions. Wow, Mr and Ms Beltway Bureaucrat, great planning but did it ever occur to you Bubba will just unscrew your super-nozzle and pour the gas directly out?
And that’s just one thing out of many. Ya know, Mr Trump, once ya got them out-of-work EPA employees in hand why don’t ya sendb’em out here, they can help clean up the mess they’ve made over the last few decades.

That’s why folks buy similar water containers (without the super nozzle) and use those for diesel or gas.

I can’t even find the one gallon nerd-free nozzles, I have two old ones left I use for the chainsaws and just take the spills on larger equipment as part of the cost of doing business.

That’s why I have plenty of the old cans.
Although there is a racing fuel jug you can still buy that is made like the old cans, it’s just more expensive. It’s like all their stupid regulations and there are loop holes.

Can’t tell ya how much diesel I’ve spilled trying to swing a 35- pound ‘can’ of it up and into a tractor tank while balancing on the frame. I’m looking at buying a few NATO jerry cans when they become available.

You can get the racing fuel jugs in 5, 8 and 10 gallons.
I actually saw some at Atwoods the other day and they were labeled for diesel, but I didn’t investigate to see if they just looked like the racing jugs or were actually made like the racing jugs.

Good idea bu we’re pretty well out of that here, closest GSA property disposal is about 70 miles and there’s a TAG close buy so they get first crack at the good stuff. In all it’s just easier and cheaper to have UPS drop a few NATO cans at my door.

Gold or copper? Sorta like the old Kaiparowitz coal project in Utah where Feds were going to allow a California company to dig up hundreds of square miles what they called ‘useless desert’ to get to the coal and divert water from a major river to sluice the coal dust to a plant wherebit would be compressed into bricks to burned. The plant they’d build would burn that coal, sending smoke hundreds of miles east, and provide electrical power for Southern California. At the end there’d be a useless plant and a huge hole in the ground.
A good part of power generated would be lost in the resistance of the wires transmitting the power to California, sonevwags estimated that good 30% would have been lost between Utah generation and California user receipt, while some estimated even more of a loss than that. Luckily it failed but not without a fight from environmentally conscious California and the Feds to keep it.

I never have understood why, post Vatican II, Catholics allowed priests and bishops to destroy the beauty of their churches, treat out or cover up beautiful features the original founders sacrificed and gave greatly for. In his usual head on fashion, Father Z tackles the issue.

I am not in the camp that opposes spending money on beautiful architecture and art in churches. Go back and reread God’s specifications for His Ark, and for the Temple, for the vestments, for the plates, and all the items in service in the the Temple. He didn’t shirk on the beauty, the awe, the wonder to reflect Him, among many other reasons. Anyhow, another good read.

And another one, regarding the spells being cast against the President. I urge you all to follow this excellent advice.

Prayers for protection are very effective, according to Father Lampert, but we should not just be reactionary. “We should always be proactive in our faith and praying for our leaders—both civic and religious—as a normal part of our everyday action,” he said. “I would hate to think our faith is just reactionary. Scripture tells us to pray unceasingly

Think it’s time to round up a few witches…..””.Spells, according to Father Lampert, only have an effect in people who are spiritually weak. If we are anchored in God, he said Scripture tells us we have nothing to fear. “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places,” (Ephesians 6:10-18).””

      Coming out in the Open

Msgr. John Esseff, a priest for 63 years and an exorcist in the Diocese of Scranton, Pa. for over 40 years, said the face of the devil that is becoming more clearly seen in public. Previously, he said we saw more of what he calls an apathetic demon that appeals to the lower weaknesses of human nature such as the sexual revolution and all that comes with it.

“Then, came the apostate demon,” Msgr. Esseff said, “that denies the sacrificial nature of human life is possible. We are told we will never able to achieve this kind of holiness or goodness or unity—it just can’t be done,” he said. “This is a real apostasy; not just in politics but also in churches, convincing people that holiness is unattainable.”

Now, according to Msgr. Esseff, we are seeing the stage of the antichrist where the evil one is not afraid to show himself to humanity. Msgr. Esseff referred to Scripture: “This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.” (1 John 4: 2-3)

“It’s not Trump they are against but Jesus,” Msgr. Esseff said. “The devil is saying, ‘no way are you reigning in this country, we are coming out against you!’”

The spell is nothing to fear if our trust and our hope is in God, Msgr. Esseff said. “Anyone who would even begin to put God back into place is going to have the forces of hell against them,” he said. “Our Lady of Fatima has given us the key to deal with this: Increase prayer and reparation [such as making Five First Saturdays].

“It’s the Fatima message and it’s coming at this time of the 100th year anniversary much more clearly,” Msgr. Esseff said. “Our Lady warned us about it at Fatima where she said the final battle will be against marriage and the family. This is not about politics, it’s about God.”

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is the latest member of President Trump’s cabinet to find himself at the center of Red Scare 2.0.

On Wednesday evening, The Washington Post reported that in 2016 then-Senator Jeff Sessions spoke twice with Russia’s ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak. According to the report, Sessions spoke with Kislyak in July and September, once at a Heritage Foundation event that was attended by roughly 50 ambassadors, and once in his Senate office.

Attorney General Sessions has released a statement about the Washington Post’s report.

“I never met with any Russian officials to discuss issues of the campaign,” Sessions said. “I have no idea what this allegation is about. It is false.”

    Germany has Magic Dirt too.

“Angela Merkel announces that standing on German ground is sufficient to make one a member of the Volk:

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is facing heavy criticism for claiming the German people, or Volk, are comprised of anyone currently living in Germany regardless of their background.

The word “Volk”, or people, in German (pronounced “folk”), is a somewhat controversial term in Germany and like many German phrases has no exact English equivalent. Chancellor Merkel is now facing opposition from many, including within her own party, for claiming that anyone living in Germany is part of the Volk, which amounts to saying that all migrants are German by virtue of living in the country, Tag 24 reports.

Merkel made the comments in her home region of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania as she received the formal nomination from her party, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), to lead the party in this year’s federal election. 95 per cent of the roughly 140 delegates voted for Merkel who ran for the nomination unopposed.

“There is no justification that small groups of our society presume to define who the Volk are, the Volk is everyone who lives in this country,” Merkel said.

“These luanatics are making the historical National Socialists look sane and reasonable by comparison. The Nazis merely regarded their ethnicity to be ideal. Merkel is openly disavowing science, history, and philosophy.

“The Teutonic edition of Magic Dirt theory is no more credible or convincing than the American version. Indeed, if we are to take it seriously, we will be entirely unable to make any sense of history whatsoever. I mean, who sacked Rome? It couldn’t have been the Visigoths, because the Gothic people who crossed the Danube became Romans as soon as they settled inside the borders of the Eastern Roman Empire, regardless of their background.

“Therefore, Alaric the Roman sacked Rome in 410 AD, with the assistance of tens of thousands of other Romans, for no apparent reason.” — Vox Day
