This is one crazy day before Valentines Day.
California the state that wants to be a sanctuary state, along with telling Trump to go to H3LL is wondering why Trump might be ignoring them. Let’s see they spend 25,000 a month for Holder help Calif fight Trump, and another 25 Billion or more a year supporting the Illegals in their state. Yet now they have a dam that should have been fixed years ago destroying home, and the lives of many Californians.
To end the night, we have Flynn resigning most likely due to leftover Obama insiders spilling the beans/lies.
I can’t help but wonder what next.
Praying extra hard for Trump, Pence, America, Americans and all my family friends here at Stella’s place.

It’s very sad about Flynn. Trump needs to figure out who in is administration is working against him and get rid of them. He is being undermined by so many people, insiders and outsiders. Praying God gives him the wisdom to discern who he can truly trust and rid himself of the rest.

Yes. He’s a GOPer snake in the grass. Reine’s closeness to Ryan and the Wisconsin crew was always a concern. I hope Trump does some big time firing and soon.

I think President Trump has blind spots.
Before he was elected president his businesses were almost exclusively sole proprietorships rather than incorporations, with an empire that vast “sole proprietorship” is almost unheard of in the business world. That speaks to Trump’s supreme confidence in not only his business acumen but also his ability to read people and pick the right person for the right job. It has served him well in the business world were everyone is tying their own career and financial well being to their own performance. What Trump fails to realize is that some of the people he is surrounding himself with will benefit more from failing President Trump failing.
Trump is rightfully very self assured that he makes good decisions and he has been a very good judge of people. That said Trump is in a new arena. He says things like “Maybe no one will believe it but Obama likes me on a personal level. I can tell from my interactions with him.”
Obama hates President Trump from the top of his head to the bottom of his toes.
Reince hates President Trump. Reince is Ryan’s siamese twin. They all have a vested interest in seeing Trump fail, and they will benefit from that failure. I do not believe that Trump has come to this realization yet because he is loyal and what Team Reince and Ryan are doing is not on his radar.
Yet.
As to why President Trump picked Reince in the first place? Reince is very good at playing the game, very good at the deception and likely offered President Trump the cooperation of WI politicians on a silver platter. (Remember that swine Scott was the first candidate to drop out of the race and call on the field to unite against Trump, remember in a secret/private Ryan told WI politicians not to support Trump publicly) the WI republican machine was made very powerful during the Prop 10 war.
So Trump not having to worry about WI probably seemed like a nice thing, also Trump said he is a political novice and wanted politicians who have been around the block. Reince came gift wrapped, he did and said whatever Trump wanted him to do and say and Trump fell for it. Why would Trump question his own judgment when it has served him well in business for so long?
Anyhow that is my 2 cents worth. Trump needs to catch up to the fact that the enemy will give him back rubs right up until they stab him in the back. Politics is different than business.

There were many concerned Trump supporters when he was naming establishment folks to his cabinet, I include myself in that. And there are folks who don’t fully trust Pence. I think everyone was hoping for the best, but are probably not surprised. Maybe Trump needs to get with Sessions and others he knows are on his side and strategize how to replace the entrenched establishment people. ASAP.

I like Newt, and he’s razor sharp smart. I don’t think he would fit with Trump though. His ego is too big to get through the door. Every situation is about him, when it should be about the matter at hand.

This is the news I found out first thing, and I am just not sure what to make of it.. It is upsetting and confusing. My gut reaction is that he was putting the interests of our country first, as a good soldier,, and that he was caught by the “no good deed goes unpunished” rule. Hopefully things will become clearer..

That is another issue that is very troubling… the whole impeachment push… our President hasn’t even had a month… SMH.. if that is seriously attempted, then we may never have a president again,,, each and every one will be impeached for something.. How will that work? The entire government will become unstable, well,l more than ever…

It seems the FBI had recorded the phone call. Nothing wrong with the phone call. Flynn just did not tell the VP about the whole substance of the call (sanctions) and the former CIA, DoJ knew Flynn wasn’t truthful.
Gen. Keith Kellogg who recommended Flynn, is no slouch. I served with the General in and out of uniform….. always be careful what you wish for, if you think Flynn was a hardline, an ArchAngel has just stepped thru the door……….

Yes Lovely, in uniform up close and personal, he left a few scars on my cheeks. Out of uniform, performance oriented, “what do you bring to the table”. One tough, but fair SOB to work for.
Short story, working on a job site, (both of us retired) he swept in for a ground truth briefing. I gave him the ground truth and more. I was a doer not in my lane to fix, that was his lane, At the conclusion, Gen. Keith said; “any other issues”, I said; “No, Sir” taking one step back and saluted, “Airborne,”, Gen Keith smile and said; “their are some thing you don’t forget, All the Way”!!!!

David P. Goldman (aka Spengler), writing on PJ Media, explains the level of hatred the CIA has for Flynn for daring to take on its spectacular failures:
… the CIA has gone out of its way to sandbag Flynn at the National Security Council. As Politico reports: “On Friday, one of Flynn’s closest deputies on the NSC, senior director for Africa Robin Townley, was informed that the Central Intelligence Agency had rejected his request for an elite security clearance required for service on the NSC, according to two people with direct knowledge of the situation.” Townley held precisely the same security clearance at the Department of Defense for seventeen years, yet he was blackballed without explanation. At DoD, Townley had a stellar reputation as a Middle East and Africa expert, and the denial of his clearance is hard to explain except as bureaucratic backstabbing.
… Gen. Flynn is the hardest of hardliners with respect to Russia within the Trump camp. In his 2016 book Field of Fight (co-authored with PJ Media’s Michael Ledeen), Flynn warned of “an international alliance of evil movements and countries that is working to destroy us[.] … The war is on. We face a working coalition that extends from North Korea and China to Russia, Iran, Syria, Syria, Cuba, Bolivia, Venezuela and Nicaragua.” The unsubstantiated allegation that he presides over a “leaky” National Security Council tilting towards Russia makes no sense. Flynn is the one senior U.S. intelligence officer with the guts to blow the whistle on a series of catastrophic intelligence and operational failures. The available facts point to the conclusion that elements of the humiliated (and perhaps soon-to-be-unemployed) intelligence community is trying to exact vengeance against a principled and patriotic officer[.] … The present affair stinks like a dumpster full of dead rats.
