Thx Stella. That was cool. Did you notice that it was 81* there? Or, maybe I should say here.

Is Trump’s private pilot flying the Presidential plane?

Not unless he’s in the Air Force.

Riger that – the pilots are volunterrs picked, vetted and trained to the specific ‘capabilities’ that plane has. A commercial pilot may be able to take AF One off, fly and land it but only in the most basic way, that’s not an off-the-rack 747. It has specific handling capabilities and will fly in ways the commercial model never could…and then there’s the countermeasures suite and evasive techniques unique to AF One the pilots are trained in. There’s also the special vetting the entire crew gets.
My father trained some crewmembers bsck in the mid-50s through the early 60s even after he was thru with them they went on to more specialized training…t’aint easy. I still have a presidential invite card to visit AF One one of his old students got for him when Johnson was POTUS. As Johnson was busily trying to kill him in Vietnam at the time he never took up on the visit.

right on….the AF pilots that fly Congresspersons and Cabinet members and such on AF planes have special training and are volunteers for the service….which is a lot tougher than just flying a craft….they have to be able to tolerate a bunch of shatsticks as passengers with stupid demands too. And the planes get special maintenance and bomb sweeping attention too.

In my day (just transitioning to biplanes from balloons) the Senators could fly priority space -available on active duty and Reserve aircraft and representatives on Active duty and Air Guard aircraft. In truth the active AF kissed toches whenever it could for all, including free hunting trips to Alaska and, way back, to Canada.
Air Guard tries to be totally available to Congresspersons, there’s even a VIP room at the Andrews terminal where they can cool their heels while the military members with dirty boots sit out in the uncomfortable seats in the terminal.
Then again, if you go to Reagan in DC the Congressjerks have VIP parking, a no-problems ticketing and boarding process and the airlines are so deferential to them they have special little bottles of airline-employee lipstick stain remover in each Congressprix gift basket, right next to hand santizer they can use if they have to shake a constituent’s hand.

With the exception of maybe Kennedy I think Trump has THE most impressive personal residence. Imagine being a world leader and having Trump invite you over to his house for the weekend….
Obama couldn’t do much more than invite them over for a weekend in public housing. Trump’s private golf course, his private tunnel under the public road from his yard to the beach. A weekend party round at the houses of some of the most highly-placed members of US society. A clear sky to land at PBI with no holding delays, a clear shot out of the airport, down Southern Boulevard, over the Intercoastal and to the digs. Yeah, The Donald POTUS knows how to lay it on and impress the other business diplomats.

and the Taxpayers are not paying for it either…..he has his own security as well….no leaching on us going on….Trump does not take a salary, nor do any of his family…..When Chuck Schumer gives up his fat benefits and money, then he can challenge Trump…until then he should STHU.

President Trump doesn’t use private security as President, just as he doesn’t use his private plane or pilot.

Glad you got there first. While Trump’s in the castle the SS would have primacy. While he’s away his security should have free reign as it’s also a private resort but I’ll brt thry have a fulltime detail that coordinates with his private security to ensure the site’s security between visits. I do not believe the SS would leave the place unsecured while Trump’s away, especially as open and vulnerable as it is. Not bad duty if you can get it.
