Oh, this gets an honorable mention post and, a few years back, when I basically pondered a reply next door wherein I posited ‘does man’s free will conflict with God’s omniscience’ I got a Sodom and Gomorrah-lite flaming. My how time flies.

It was a battle with this stupid hospital and their staff again. Thank goodness her doctor was back in town or she may have ended up having her in the vehicle. They sent her away again and refused to call her doctor.

We got in touch with her in time though and got her readmitted. It all went pretty fast in the end, she only pushed about 6 times and she was born. Her water ended up breaking on it’s own right after the epidural and once it broke it was only 30 minutes until she was here. She didn’t really have time for the epidural to take full effect and felt pretty much all of it.

Gracie is a beautiful little girl with blue-green eyes and dark black hair and a very dark complexion. She looks a lot like her mama as a baby except she has her Daddy’s nose. She’s an alert little thing, looking around at everything. She seems to really like the men in her life and turns her head looking for her PaPa and Daddy when she hears them talking. Her PaPa says she smiles at him. lol She has little dimpled cheeks, a dimpled chin and dimpled elbows.
Big brother is not too sure about her and is really missing his Mama tonight. Papa and Nanny are spoiling him just a little tonight and letting him watch his super letter cartoon because he doesn’t want to go to sleep because he wants his Mama. We’re hoping he’ll eventually fall asleep.
He told Nanny she didn’t brush his teeth like Mama and didn’t read his favorite bedtime book like Mama. lol

It will also be nice for big brother to be in his own bed. His Mama and Daddy didn’t lie that when he gets in your bed, he takes up the entire bed and he kicks like a mule. I do not know how a little guy can take up so much of the bed.

I went and laid back down by him this morning and watched him sleep and suck his thumb.
When he finally woke up he looked at me and said, “good morning Nanny!” Then he jumped on top of me and gave me a big hug and said, “I wuv you!”
Then said, “get me a dink!”

It made it worth sleeping on the edge of the bed while being kicked all night, even if it ended with a demand. He is a boy after all and boys are quite demanding when they’re little and big. lol

The little girl according to her Mama this morning is a little pig and seems to think she has things she needs to do and see. She’s picking her head up looking around and keeps pulling her feet up on her and pushing like she’s trying to stand up.
She asked me if any of them ever were lifting their head up that soon. I told her she did that in the hospital and then she was sitting up by 4 months and pulling up by 6 months.

Gracie sounds like my son. He could almost turn over the day I brought him home. Oh, and in the hospital, the nurse was helping me to get him to latch on correctly, and the 3 time she pulled him off, he lifted his head out of her hand and latched on. She said she had never seen that before. Also, at 7 1/2 months, he walked across the floor. He was the most adorable, joyful handful I had ever seen. 🙂

When I went to wrap her back up she didn’t want to be wrapped back up and her little arms and legs are strong. I told my daughter no wonder she was always grabbing her stomach and telling her to quit kicking so hard. lol

LOL They always swaddled my son really tight at the hospital. But, I discovered the first time they brought him to me to nurse, he was straining against the wrap. So I unwrapped him and his little arms and legs were just moving all over the whole time. He hated being swaddled. When I got him home, my mother kept covering him up and I uncovered him because it was S. Cal near the end of May. And, he got all sweaty and restless when he was covered up.

She seems to actually like being wrapped up better than her brother. Once you get her wrapped up she’s fine, but her brother screamed if he had a blanket on him. He’s still like that and hates to be covered up.

My daughter could lift and turn her head. It took two of us to get her bonnet on when we left the hospital because she was having none of it! She also had a flat spot (a bad one) on her head for a long time, because she would always turn it to that side. That was back when we put them to sleep on their tummies.

With each one of my kids they told you something different. With my daughter it was stomach, first son it was back or side, youngest son it was back only.
Gracie loves her little hat and cries when it falls off. lol

She makes it hard to burp her on your shoulder because she pushes so hard with her feet that she lifts herself up and then raises her head to try and look around. I think she wants to run off.

Big brother is not so sure about her though and is reverting back to being a baby. He never sucked a pacifier and quit the bottle between 10 and 11 months. Yesterday he grabbed her pacifier and started sucking on it and then grabbed her empty bottle and started sucking on it.
He keeps telling me to rock him and hold my baby. His mama told him yesterday to lay beside her and he told her to hold him and he was her baby.

I told my daughter that his little world is turned upside down, his mommy and daddy are gone and there is this new baby getting their attention.
He’s becoming attached to my hip and he’s not letting me out of his sight for 5 minutes.

One of the nurses yesterday asked how old he was and then started saying it was better when they were a different sex because at least they don’t think they’re being replaced.

He heard it and asked his Mommy, “Mommy you replace me and give me to Nanny?”

It made us both mad that she said that in front of him. Mommy told him he was always her baby and she would never give her baby boy away. I kept telling him last night that he would always be mommy’s #1 baby and he kept telling his Papa that he was #1.

We lived in San Diego and went back to TN for a family event when my son was three. There was snow on the ground and we were sleeping in a motorhome. So, I put my son in a fleece footy to sleep. He kicked me viciously all night. I kept covering him up, because I was afraid he was cold. The next night I checked him and he had sweated nearly through the footy. So, I stripped him down to his underwear and a t-shirt. And, if he kicked the covers off, I left them off. He slept quietly that night. LOL Taught me something.

Cory Louie, the White House’s now former chief cybersecurity officer, was reportedly removed from his position.

Louie “was forced to resign,” according to an editor at The Atlantic, who was the first to report his exit, despite initially saying that he was a member of the Secret Service. The story was apparently corroborated by ZDNet, who spoke to unnamed sources on the matter.

    Shaky Town

Watching the Trump nominees take more time than the Obama nominees fills me with joy. These are not safe and they most certainly aren’t conciliatory. The Democrats are desperately trying to drag out the process, which is more or less fine with me as well. They won’t be able to drag it out over the next two years, which is what they would need to do to have the slightest chance of stopping her with a midterm flip of the Senate, but given the number of at-risk seats the Democrats will have to defend in 2018, it looks like pretty much all of Trump’s picks are going to go the distance.

And they are extraordinary choices, all of them. One of the absolute highlights of the three months in this Parade of Winning was watching the confusion on the part of the progressives, especially journalists: Why, this Trump idiot has appointed a man as head of the EPA who seems to want to destroy the EPA! Don’t you conservative idiots out there in fly over country understand that?

Here’s a newsflash, newsboy: this is not a bug, and it’s not even a feature. This is the entire reason the product was made in the first place.

James Mattis being appointed Secretary of Defense is a shot fired across not only the bows of ISIS, Russia and China: I think, most importantly, it was a message to members of our armed forces saying that if they can just hang on for a few weeks, they will get to be warriors again. They did not enlist to socially engineer this country. They enlisted to protect it. The appointment of Secretary of Defense Mattis is the bugle call of the cavalry coming to the rescue of what looked all year to be a Last Stand.

Donald Trump’s cabinet picks are not just “good” for conservatives; instead they all seem to be the kind of paradigm-shattering earthquake of a magnitude that no one – no one I know, anyway – had dared to believe possible.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen

Phil Collins always denied it, but I always thought this was a pro-life song.

I think that either he’s lying or he was used by Christ in making this song.

He says the song’s about a hooker. I don’t believe him.

This song is a baby in the womb, pleading.

Johnny covered this Nine Inch Nails song just after his wife passed.

Trent Reznor is a Satanist. Johnny Cash covered his song.

It may have been Francis A. Schaeffer that spoke about how God uses people.

Even people who think they are working against God.

Pink Floyd got me back to God. Far away, across the field… the tolling of the iron bell… calls the faithful to their knees… to hear the softly-spoken magic spell.

I do believe Floyd were also Satanists. Along with Zeppelin. And the Eagles. And E.L.O., for that matter.

Is a full moon, all the loonies go loonie, so will surreptitiously put this here, and hope no one notices.

“The NSA sent out a bid to multiple defense contractors, seeking a program that could collect and analyze communications from phones and the internet. Science Applications Internal Corporation, or SAIC, won the contract…

Some of (Gen Michael) Hayden’s senior officials at the NSA came from SAIC, the company that won contract…

that system was shut down in favor of an SAIC boondoggle…

Hayden has continued dismissing concerns years later as the grumblings of disgruntled employees…”

“We’ve been trying for 15 or 16 years now to bring the U.S. government the technical solution to save lives, but they fight us left and right,” said Wiebe.

Former CIA Analyst Sues Defense Department to Vindicate NSA Whistleblowers

Has been much much longer than 15 or 16 years.
    SAIC (grrrr)
    Signed,
    Disgruntled (former) Employee

    And I’m off…where’s that Pink Floyd song…
