happy Monday all. It was actually quite a game. The singer at halftime didn’t do anything stupid, but the commercials were the worst I’ve ever seen on whole. Anyway, all the fun’s over until Daytona opens their doors and the rednecks start racin’ again, real soon. In the meantime, coffee up and soldier on. We’ve got work to do cleanin’ up the Country.

Eilean Donan Castle up there ^^^, stella?

And I love the mossy path.

No on the castle (although Eilean Donan is a favorite and very picturesque). It is Kilchurn Castle on Loch Awe, Argyll and Bute, Scotland.

Isn’t the path beautiful? It was a Bing offering a few days ago.

          Stella’s pics make me think.

I play a game on my PC called Skyrim, when I need an escape.

Imagine walking through that picture, with no limits. Under any of those bridge arches. Swimming through the water. Climbing that foothill in the back. Gazing at that sky, with dynamic, moving clouds and weather systems.

The land is HUGE, a bunch of counties (holds, in the game), cities, and an insane amount of detail, almost to the point of photorealism.

It’s why I don’t passively watch television fiction (or otherwise, on the rare occasions that TV doesn’t produce fiction) any more. I’d rather choose. Where, in Stella’s picture offerings, do you want to go? Press “W” to run forward. “S” to backpedal. “A” and “D” to strafe. Spacebar to jump.

Oh, and you can “mod” the game. Add to it. Change the physics systems in the game. Change the weight of gold coins. Change the sounds, the graphics detail, the mesh detail, and add whole new giant areas. So, creative people make mods, and us not-so-creative people use them to make our game unique like a Harley-Davidson.

I remember playing Pong on a cocktail table, text adventures on a green-screen, and — how far we’ve come.

It’s a better escape than simply watching Hollywood people act, passively.

Although it’s still Sunday night in CA, here is a morning prayer for tomorrow:

“Lord God, almighty and everlasting Father, you have brought us in safety to this new day: Preserve us with your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin, nor be overcome by adversity; and in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”

  5. The early bird might get the worm, but early posters get no coffee. 😋

Budweiser’s sad virtue signaling commercial was completely wrong, per Twitchy. I keep thinking that maybe busineses should try a little harder not to ostracize more then half the country. But what do I know?

I didn’t watch the game last night. I did watch enough to see that no players appeared to be kneeling during the anthem.

I always liked the puppy and the Budweiser horses… that was cute. This year I didn’t spend a minute on anything related to the game. I couldn’t name a Lady Gaga song to save my life… SMH

      • Huh, there was coffee. Sorry! I must have zoomed on through and missed it. Now that I have the important things in life…

I remember for several years now the horses and puppies and it was always worth watching Bud commercials just to see them. Who exactly does Budweiser think they’re impressing here with thief virtue signaling? Did they not see the election map breakdown and see how much of it was red?

Semed to me like selling social engineering instead of thrir mediocre beer was the point. If they were planning on expanding their base market beyond underage teens and people who’ve had their taste buds surgically removed they’d have premiered a 40 ounce bottle with a label featuring jungle animal or some made-up saint holding a scythe and wearing a flaming robe.
The horses are nice but there’s so little life and soooooo many great beers it’s a shame wasting it drinking drinking ditch water.

Unhinged NYU ‘Professor’ Whose Hissy Fit Went Viral Turns Out to Be Lobster Porn Artist

Repeatedly during the video, Goyette claimed to be an NYU professor. What’s funny about that is the minute she said it, the entire Twitterverse collectively nodded and thought, “Of course she is.” So imagine our surprise when an investigation discovered she was not a professor but is, in fact, a “lobster porn” performance “artist.” If you’ve never heard of lobster porn, I beg you not to Google it like I did. I saw things that can’t be unseen and believe me, I wish I hadn’t.

In a way this isn’t fair as Berkeley was the tip of the spear in tne beginning of the free speech movement in the 60s. They’ve been a constant source of speech-related problems ever since. Only reason this got covered is the news values in the cultural war, the stuff the media hasn’t covered at Berkeley over the lat 50 years is more interesting.

      • Milo’s speeches spark controversy due to the leftist groupthink that is pervasive on most college campuses. I think it’s good he’s challenging that thinking, even though I don’t agree with his methods. It is sad that Berkeley has fallen so far from their free speech days of the past. Antifa folks, that caused a lot of this, were not students, though. They are the paramilitary branch of the DNC.

Hee hee hee…back in the late 90s when I’d go to McDill to do sone CENTCOM-related work I managed to PO the base housing office when we got into a discussion about my lodging. As McDill belongs to the AF they run the transient quarters with military persons as desk clerks, and an E-3 clerk made some smarmy comment about my class-B uniform that I was required to wear with full decorations and badges. I’d said something like “well when my kids adk me ‘What did you do in the war, Daddy?’ I won’t have to say ‘I made sure the pillows had a mint on them every morning’. I got off-base housing regularly after that, quite a nice arrangement.
      Know what I’m sayin’, Col?

Nearly same thing happened to me at Peterson while I was with Northcom and Spacecom as well as Bolling when I had to go to the DIA. Combat housekeepers at Bolling got back at me first time by putting me up in Oxen Hill where the windiws and A/C couldn’t drown out the ambulances’ and cops’ sirens on the road all night. Dining was interesting – if I didn’t want to eat in the motel’s ‘restaurant’ there was a place across the street that sold fried chicken and screwtop wine through a drawer in a bulletproof glass window.

Might want to keep an eye on Ethiopia. It’s one of two majority Christian nations in an area that’s of great interest to Muslim nation eager to extend their control in East Africa and the Horn of Africa. There’s been a big uptick in Moslem terror attacks in Kenya and there’s now an increase in violent antigovernment activity in Ethiopia.
A lot of it is directed against the new government but plot maps of where it’s happening puts some of it close to Ethiopia’s borders where Muslim forces could operate. Not a ‘definate’, just a wait-and-see.

Can we revisit my favorite two premises? (1) It’s 1943, would we allow a flood of admitted Nazis to immigrate? Nazism is a belief system, just as Islam is and both have doctrinal grounds for killing Jews. (2) The US, by numbers, has about the same number of Jews living within its borders as Israel does, between us we contain over 80% of the world’s Jews, a target rich environment. Nazis, like many Moslems, didn’t admit to killing Jews, even though it’s part of both of their doctrines. If we wouldn’t let active Nazis flood in why would we freely let unvetted Moslems flood in?

So the folks are still going nuts over President Trump’s comment to Bill O that “There are a lot of killers. We have a lot of killers,” “Well, you think our country is so innocent?” when Bill said that Putin is a killer.

Something nice about the Left and the never Trumpers who are grabbing their kerchiefs and saying How can Trump say the US is the moral equivalent of Russia? Why didn’t Bill O call him out on it? is that they just don’t learn and have no idea what Trump is doing or how to combat him.

Am I the only person who saw that salvo directed right at Hillary Clinton? And indirectly at Obama?

President Trump knows all about Benghazi. He knows about what dangers Hillary put Americans in by using her secret server.

Remember when Team Clinton sent out a general email that people shouldn’t believe the next wave of wikileak emails and lo and behold right there in the emails was a conversation about people thinking that Ron Johnson was the only person that the Clintons personally had killed.

Always with President Trump what he does’t say is as important as what he says. He always has a general audience and often a specific target. Thankfully the Left and the faux Right keep falling into his traps.
