Oh boy!!!!! I can just see or be in the room, and I could make a fortune selling tickets Dr. Gorka and Czar debating the finer points of counterinsurgency, intel gathering, and other fine points. The presentation would be Ph.D worthy !!!!!!!!
Now I could do the OPORD, no problem….

I came to believe the finer points of counterinsurgency come at the tips of bombs on an arclight raid. Note that the chairborne desk rangers changed it from guerrilla warfare to counterinsurgency to asymmetrical warfare. Each time you change the name you get to say it’s all brand new (pick a BS reason) and get to start studying it all over from the beginning.

Impeach, don’t know if you had read the entire thread yesterday. Towards the bottom Stella had posted a letter from some concerned American Catholics. Requesting an investigation into why the former Pope resigned. Seems Obola, Bite me, Clinton and others may have used nefarious methods in the former Popes resignation and putting “their” man in. Quite interesting….. I hope Trump puts this on the burner….

Col: couldn’t reply to your reply on yesterdays post. Yeah, a squad of trained actors could easily take over many PDs as the police are not trained to react as such.
If we go back to the 60s and 70s we see many attacks on stations by the Obama predecessors the Black Panthers and the Weathermen. For some years after that stations were designed to be less visitor friendly and more defensive in nature. Now, years after the last attacks, they are less visitor friendly but not as defensive to a determined and trained attacker.
Yeah, armed citizens may be an answer but progs and Rats are desperately trying to make sure thst never happens. Yes, they are after your guns as they want their security forces to be your only source of salvation. Don’t follow their line and 911 just might put you on hold.
Then we have the issue of an armed citizen response force. Many states have laws making it illegal for a non-government-sanctioned ‘militia’ force to be created. If the time comes you can expect Congress, under the right control and circumstances, to use one of the myriad of Federal laws to pass a Federal ban too.
I can see more than a few ways for Moslem militants to legally get around the existing laws at all levels and, of course, the illegal way of ‘just do it’.

Agree, Czar. Here in PA we Citizens still have the right to form legal Militia Units. The Gun club I’m a member of is one such unit. The membership board does require full FBI background checks, credit, and other hoops to jump through. I’m just a general member as is most veterans who are club members. I have taught small unit classes, and weapons classes, limited patrolling. You have to remember most of these guys are just plain hunters. Should have been there when I gave the old class on taking care of the feet.
Now these guys, and there are a few womem, would protect their homes, now going in after MS-13 or 10-15 Mooluuummmm in an intense firefight, maybe maybe not.

I’ve been shooting the M-16/AR plstform since the second week of November 1965. I maneuver best with the help of gravity, unmaneuvering usually requires some leverage and grunting sounds but when I go to the range with my AR I can still put twenty rounds into the 4″ gong at 100 yards with iron sights. Czarina’s pretty good too. Being an engineer I do well on channeling and barriers…boobytraps to if needed. Bitch of it all is even having to think these kibds of actions are necessary.

Irony of her being Jewish and defending a religion thst has antisemitism as a tenet aside, if this were 1942 would she be protesting the US’s ban on Nazis entering the US? After all, not all Nazis are bad persons…

    Morning Figments,
This may be a long day. We need to bring our sweet old dog to the vet. She got up, followed our little routine, but it’s like her batteries are drained. She seems to be resting comfortably, normally she would be at my feet, begging for an extra cookie.. I can’t help but think we may face that awful decision today. All this happened in one day. It’s like something flipped a switch.
All the news flying around, well, thank goodness for a distraction.

The great Iggy: I guess the ‘party of no’ is now a moniker of honor.

Neat Alilnskyite trick; declare your opponents illegitimate and fascists and suddenly any tactic up to and including halting the functioning of the state is an act of patriotism.

Perfectly legal policies are responded to with what is approaching insurrection territory.
The left’s basic authoritarianism, sense of entitlement and belief in the irreversibility of its central extra constitutional project has it headed down a very dangerous road.

It is the totalitarian road that was made inevitable when the anti-liberal New Left began its long march through the Democrat party close to fifty years ago.
They are invoking rhetoric and tactics that, if they do not control themselves, will lead to a national crisis.

They have grown so accustomed to accommodationist Republicans who were tolerated because they never actually threatened the one party authoritarian project the left embarked on privately in the pre Watergate era and publicly since then that a single non accommodationist president has them showing their true anti liberal, anti democratic, anti American tendencies in full.

They can’t afford to have the inevitability of their Marxist derived historical determinism shown to be a fraud and so they are essentially engaged in a game of chicken with the rest of us.

And make no mistake the fate of the country is at stake. If they win this round of chicken, not by intimidating Trump or his voters, but by intimidating the pols necessary to implement Trump’s policies we will have exhausted the last peaceful political chance we had to prevent their project, which has always been to destroy our constitutional republic and replace it with their version of the Paris commune.

The left is always and everywhere infected with the totalitarian temptation and they appear to be intent, at least many of them, on forcing a showdown of whether they will be granted essential veto power over any even mild dismantling of their engine of coercion and unbridled state power.

If the rest of us do not blink and instead defend our founding principles it could get ugly very fast. If we do blink it will eventually get ugly anyway but it will be farther down the road.

But don’t kid yourself, they consider this to the death; the death of our country and as many of us as is necessary to ensure the former. The core of the left already openly talks of killing Trump and rioting, punching and killing people opposed to them. Soros and his many tentacled network is bent on any means necessary to create a closed society utterly dominated by the left’s anti God, anti West, anti political liberty and ultimately anti human ideology.

Their anti democratic reaction, if it continues will have truly marked January 20 2017 as the beginning of the active phase of the second civil war.

Neat Alilnskyite trick; declare your opponents illegitimate and fascists and suddenly any tactic up to and including halting the functioning of the state is an act of patriotism.

This is exactly what the DNC is doing with complicit MSM. Their entire opposition is built in lies and sowing disharmony in the US. The Left elites think they are immune from the alligator they are feeding and antagonizing.

        Another FB response:

My only beef is with the notion that this is a relatively recent development, that it’s all about the New Left’s manipulation of an accommodationist GOP. Hardly, imho, because that was a rehash of the radical but now long-forgotten fights that took place in FDR’s first term, as he was jamming the New Deal suppository so far up the hind quarters of the tattered remains of the Republic that the GOP was able merely to beg for mercy. The “loyal opposition” of the Right was eviscerated when Thomas Lamont (Morgan’s right hand man) read the tea leaves of 1929 through the lens of Marx and Wilson. Ever since, the GOP has been a soft Progressive party, with the slight exception of Reagan’s first term. (Read Phyllis Schlaffly’s outstanding history of the GOP and the repeated betrayals of Lamont’s insiders in ’36, ’40, and ’44.) No, one reason why the Left is apoplectic is precisely *because* they have forgotten the price that was paid on their behalf was not for a future Revolution, but for a Fabian transformation. Now, God willing, they will be stripped of both.

    Scott Adams nails it:

Be careful what you wish for, especially if it is Hitler.

But lately I get the feeling that Trump’s critics have evolved from expecting Trump to be Hitler to preferring it. Obviously they don’t prefer it in a conscious way. But the alternative to Trump becoming Hitler is that they have to live out the rest of their lives as confirmed morons. No one wants to be a confirmed moron. And certainly not after announcing their Trump opinions in public and demonstrating in the streets. It would be a total embarrassment for the anti-Trumpers to learn that Trump is just trying to do a good job for America. It’s a threat to their egos. A big one.

And this gets me to my point. When millions of Americans want the same thing, and they want it badly, the odds of it happening go way up. You can call it the power of positive thinking. It is also the principle behind affirmations. When humans focus on a desired future, events start to conspire to make it happen.

I’m not talking about any new-age magic. I’m talking about ordinary people doing ordinary things to turn Trump into an actual Hitler. For example, if protesters start getting violent, you could expect forceful reactions eventually. And that makes Trump look more like Hitler. I can think of dozens of ways the protesters could cause the thing they are trying to prevent. In other words, they can wish it into reality even though it is the very thing they are protesting.

In the 3rd dimension of persuasion, the protesters need to be proven right, and they will do whatever it takes to make that happen. So you might see the protesters inadvertently create the police state they fear.

Comment from Haven Monahan at VP:

I find all this Trump being Hitler narrative confusing. If Trump really is the second coming of Hitler, why are so many People of Color (PoC) still fighting to come and migrate to America? Shouldn’t the PoC already in the US be heading for the exits like many Jews did in Germany in the ’30’s? And why are so many liberals assisting and encouraging these PoC to come to America if these PoC are only going to end up as gas chamber fodder in the coming years? I do not remember Hitler having to build a border wall to keep the Jews from trying to immigrate in massive numbers into Nazi Germany.

It seems to me if Trump really were Hitler II, people would be acting differently?

Donald J. Trump will never tell the world what Churchill told the world about the Islamic faith. Churchill’s balls are currently at rest, like a sword in a stone. Not even Trump could retrieve that sword. Churchill spoke truth fearlessly.

Quoting this gets you arrested in Jolly Old England now:

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity.

The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property—either as a child, a wife, or a concubine—must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die. But the influence of the religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science—the science against which it had vainly struggled—the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.

I’m waiting for President Donald J. Trump to speak like that.

And I’m not holding my breath.

Hitler was a master at galvanizing the masses and had he let the professional military tun the war instead of making stupid drug-enhanced decisions things would have been very different. I have no issues with Hitler’s mastery of political salesmanship, his agenda was the problem. Throw out the baby with the bath water at your own peril, had Obama been a slightly better orator and not so obvious and quick-to-shoot with his agenda things may have been different here as well.

Many on the right, IIRC, thought that Obama was Hitler II. That he would be putting Christians, conservative Jews, and conservatives in “The Camps”.

Didn’t happen. Either Progs aren’t as smart, nor as evil as we thought they were. Probably a combination of both.

During GWB’s 8 years of being called “Bushitler” by the left, they were free to give Zombie a photographic legacy, complete with inflated scrota and communist literature, Cindy Sheehan camped out in a ditch in Crawford at his actual home for MONTHS, and also, like during Obama’s reign, nobody got sent to The Camps.

But GWB was Hitler! Literally Hitler! Nope.

Linda Sarsour’s Muslim Identity Politics Epitomize Feminism’s Hypocrisy

    http://thefederalist.com/2017/01/24/linda-sarsours-muslim-identity-politics-epitomize-feminisms-hypocrisy/

The Women’s March had a high number of disabled participants, but a disability can also be characterized by how you think. An entire group of women, particularly women of color, have adopted the disability of self-victimization, even going so far as to ask “white-women” participating in the march to observe and make space for women of color. In other words, move to the back of the bus. The longer this march had room to grow and organize, the more divisive and overbearing it became.

As a result, modern feminism as represented in the Women’s March on Washington surges with hatred and subjugation of anything or anyone that deviates from its groupthink. Modern feminism has become a cult that punishes women, that dehumanizes and parcels the gift of creative power under clinical terms like “reproductive health.” It’s a pseudo-religion that raises pitchforks against the faintest hints of sexism while ignoring real human issues like Yazidi sex slaves, Saudi Arabia’s guardianship system, and the epidemic of migrant rapes in Europe.

From the same cloth of a modern women’s movement, you have women who champion themselves as advocates of women’s rights but are comfortable with calls for rape of female public figures including the first lady, who has been subjected to slut-shaming by leftists who believe that anyone who doesn’t subscribe to their political ideology is fair game.

Some reporter babe was whining at Sean Spicer about the confusion surrounding the temporary vetting process (she of course did not call it that 🙄) and Spicer totally cut her off at the knees by telling her that her network was part of the problem because her network is promoting false and misleading stories. The woman said “In all fairness MSNBC was reporting on a NY Times story.” Sean Spicer not missing a beat said “Well I’m sorry that you are reporting misleading news using fake news from the NY times as your source.”

Spicer is very good at what he does, he is not slick, he is a sympathetic character and he shows his exasperation with the disingenuous press and their “one sided” manipulative questions. He is also very good at rephrasing their questions as they should be posed in order to be a legitimate question.

I’ve yet to see him allow the pack of jackals to paint him into a corner. The pack looks rude, biased and hostile, Spicer comes across as well measured and conciliatory but firm. And he looks like he is the one speaking from a point of knowledge to a bunch of unruly school kids.

If anybody here was wondering, This is why she was fired.

…A few quick observations. First, the statement seems to indicate that the executive order was reviewed by the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel, which apparently concluded that the executive order was lawful. Second, Yates does not claim that she cannot defend the executive order because it is unconstitutional or because the Justice Department would be unable to offer good-faith arguments in defense of its legality. To the contrary, Yates claims she is ordering the Justice Department not to defend the executive order because it is not “wise or just.” This is quite significant. I am not aware of any instance in which the Justice Department has refused to defend a presumptively lawful executive action on this basis.

I must admit I have been less engaged in the day-to-day minutiae, now that the Left is no longer dictating policy. I’m just tired of having my life carjacked on a regular basis by whatever freshly minted Chinese puzzle box of lies was popped out of the Soros-funded enclaves this morning. Engaging and deconstructing each labyrinthine pile of dezinformatsiya is a fractal, Sisyphean time-suck.

I have noted and commented though, that the hard Left appears to be cynically burning their dupes in an inferno of hysterical angst as a prelude to a greater conflagration. Another Days of Rage retread, it seems.

I’m curious – what do all of you think the odds/timing are that this current rhetorical anaphylaxis turns the smoldering unrest into something much more serious? I see “Civil War” being thrown around. What does everyone think about them finally achieving that?

    • Massachusetts has made me angry. We had a Civil War already and it determined that a central gov’t gets to tell the state’s what to do. MA was on the wrong side of that war and right side lost so they can toe the line and enforce the immigration suspension.

As for a second war, that depends how far the left will go to get what they want. Personally, I put nothing past them.

My dear old girl, the Border Collie, is about 11 now. She’s 85 pounds, has a bit of arthritis and is getting gray, gray, gray. She’s scary smart, I talk to her in full sentences, she picks out the words and does it…if she wants to. If she doesn’t she’ll let me know and we negotiate.
She came to us when Zauber, the 130# GSD, was about 5. I let him see her thru the French doors for a few days until he was used to seeing her and cautiously let her in. He stared at her…she ran right over, bulldozed him with her chest and started pulling out the huge ruff around his neck. Not a complaint out of him but they were friends until he died. She never let him grow that ruff back though.
She turns into a toothy buzzsaw with the pit cross, letting him know his place. When he eats kibble from the community tub hectakes a mouth full, walks away and eats it some place else…he can eat, just not at her bowl. She keeps the place from becoming a circus.
