Impeach!!!!! reading an article in my Farm and Dairy paper, Mad Cow Disease detected in a harvested doe this year Franklin County, which is east of my location, 100 miles or so. This is the second doe in two consecutive years. Glad I stopped eating well cooked deer steaks and jerky about 20 years ago.

It’s been in elk out west for years. Thing is that you cannot cook infected product well enough to inactivate the infective prions without turning the meat into dust. There is a methos using a kitchen-level heat but the diwnside is that you need to pressure cook it at around 50-tons per square inch whole you heat it…solves that chewy skirt steak problem though.
Most research I’ve read shows the infective danger comes from ingesting brain or spinsl tissue or meat contaminated by said tissue BUY y’all wanna take thst chance? Stay in touch with your Fish and Wildlife folks, they’ll be closely monitoring this as will your Ag people. Big worry is issue of transmission from wildlife to livestock so it’s best to keep in touch.

The restaurant we had lunch at had the walls covered with shelves full of tea cups, pots and really pretty dishes. You were served on beautiful mismatched dishes, with flowered tablecloths. It was such a pleasure. And, the food was really great.

Never was much of one whonwent gaga over food’s presentation, all the foppery in the world can’t make bad good mouthable. Newer restaurants in NOLA have the fancy trappings, especially the ones that havevsmall portions at big prices. Do miss the old mom and pop eateries, ‘specially the ones thst nestled in family-owned grocery stores. Lordie they served huge piles of good food that left you satisfied for hours. One used to bake a loaf of its own bread, whack off the top, hollow it out and fill it with piles of freshly deep fried oysters, shrimp or a mix. After you’d eaten the seafood you’d eat the bread sotted with the seafood-infused frying oil. And you had sides!
Seafood stuffed baked peppers, seafood stuffed artichokes, red beans and rice cooked with pickled pork served with huge chunks of smoked sausage and abpile of french bread…
Mostly gone now, newbies like one arugula infused wild-caught, fair trade, sustainable shrimp cooked in liquid nitrogen and served on a recycled chinette plate. Oh, don’t forget the high proces thst reflect and respect the karmic energies that went into the meal’s preparation.
Not going quietly into that good night of bad food and worse dining.

If it’s good gravy I’ll sop it up with a kitchen rag. BTW, obe of the best ways to tell a NOLA resident from a recent transplant is thrir use of the word ‘gravy’ versus ‘sauce’.

We’re experiencing the obverse side of Colonialism right now.
Name a non-western, non-white nation that is ever told “You’re not Diverse enough!”
You cannot.
And only European-derived Americans are ever told they are bad people if they have eight children in America.

My understanding is people who were detained, had issued visas. Yes The wording of Trumps and Obola ‘s is the same, so we just stop issuing visas this might render the mute. Thought the ban was on refugees……..agree this will be very interesting how this flows…….

I see the wranglers for 2018 getting a wedge issue early on. The party in the WH frequently loses seats in the midterms and it won’t take much for us to be screwed. Not being an Administration insider, privy to their strategy, I tend to worry about things more visible to me and we need more seats in Congress but more than that we need not to lose any.
Eight years of a nation destroyer in the WH who played the various segments of society like a fine instrument has left its mark. MSM and entertainment folks are going to go full court to weaken Trump for 2020, make him another Bush II. The Left-Right balance is too close, the game’s to sway that uncommitted in the middle while trying to import more proto-Rats. Some’s hotta start pulling rabbits out of a hst begore that huge Leftist machine gains momentum.

Them economic plan (federal tax plan) needs to pass soon and kick in, also roll back of EPA regulations, streamline the IRS. If I remember correctly, took Reagan 2 years , and he had a Demo Rat Congress. We haven’t had a GDP above 3% in 10 years.

I use my Verizon cell “Hot spot”, as Wi-Fi to run my IPad when over at the farm. Renamed the Wi-Fi to FBI Surveillance!!!!!!

That’s what we use, a Verizon hotspot. We were using two tin cans and a string but one can rusted out and we had to go with Verizon until we got a new can. It’s that or HughesNet and HughesNet has…..problems. Hughes not only is sensitive to storms but their customer service is largely composed of what I can only guess is Abu Sayyaf on their day jobs.

The mountains in that corner of Colorado are so lovely. One of the most beautiful things I ever saw were the wild flowers in the high country between Ouray and Telluride in August. I have a photograph on my wall.

No, there was a bronze statue of two women, one pregnant, with two children between them, all linked holding hands. Directly behind and posing with the statue were two women with their two children, all holding hands. There was nothing specific but to me it was meant to be a symbolic representation of the old ‘Heather Has Two Mommies’ book.

The entire Chechnya thing was a pipedream anyway, in the nearly twenty years the wars went on there was never any doubt Russia would let Chechnya leave the Federation. It was Putin who fonally solved their Moslem problem, he flattened Grozny to the ground, almost obliterated it. Brought the Chechen Moslems to the table most riki-tik.
Along those lines, yoday a few dozen NOLA Moslems and Moslem suck-ups staged a demonstration at the Armstrong airport. Brrrrr…angry Moslems st a US airport, what could possibly go wrong? Also a group estimated by the overestimating preess to be ‘in the hundreds’ showed up at city hall to protest Trumps ‘ban the bomb…er’ orders. Being Moslems it was understandable they’d show up,on a Christian day off…whoops…to protest. Hizzonuh the mayor wasn’t there even though there were black attendees he could have been photographed standing near.

She’s doing okay, she’s had a little spotting but they say that could be from the exams and scrapings they took.

Trump’s temporary immigration ban set a mental anchor in your brain that is frankly shocking. It will make his eventual permanent immigration plan (”extreme vetting”) look tame by comparison. The Persuasion Filter says that’s his strategy. Because that’s ALWAYS his strategy. He acts the same way every time. He wrote a book about it. He talks about it publicly. Then he does it right in front of us, over and over. And no matter how many times he does it, half the country still thinks the opening offer is the real one.
I’ve mentioned in this blog a few times that persuasion works even when the subject of the persuasion recognizes all the techniques as they happen. This is a perfect case. The left has been watching Trump make big offers and dial them back for the past year. And yet they still think this time it will be different. The Persuasion Filter says that 70-year old Trump will act the same way today as he has for the past several decades: Big first offer, then negotiate.

Yesterday, less than one percent of the more than 325,000 international air travelers who arrive every day were inconvenienced while enhanced security measures were implemented. These individuals went through enhanced security screenings and are being processed for entry to the United States, consistent with our immigration laws and judicial orders.
The Department of Homeland Security will faithfully execute the immigration laws, and we will treat all of those we encounter humanely and with professionalism. No foreign national in a foreign land, without ties to the United States, has any unfettered right to demand entry into the United States or to demand immigration benefits in the United States.

stella, what are your thoughts about posts of the talk shows mirroring next door? I get so annoyed with the advertisement/video certificate errors/warnings I don’t want to go there even to post “Mornin’ WeeWeed”. The 400 music videos and animated images that also use that WP library function don’t help.
Next door is getting as bad as Business Insider for automated hacking attempts via advertising.

Some days I can’t even get in over there. Seriously. My laptop can’t download anything (like adblock, some media, etc.) because of security settings put on it by a guy in Slowdeatha (for which I am grateful – I have no virus problems) but sometimes those ads and videos flat lock me up, I have to restart, delete cookies/crap, etc., etc., and it’s just not worth the time to mess with it all day long.
