I was wondering about the hunt. Full disclosure, when Dh went it was on a reserve.. there are no wild boars in PA, and he paid for the privilege. Better luck next time. We have wild boar in GA, not far from our cabin, and it is legal to hunt, but the terrain is so mountainous, it is just too difficult…

Yeah, I went out to Applebee’s last nite, preferred restaurant for redneck raconteurs in a mostly dry county, and received texts from my hunting bud was wet and cold in the blind. Zero hogs. Some days it’s Grand Central Station and some days it’s a juice bar featuring Hillary pole dancing.

Well, since the Hot Springs are a natural feature (“improved” by man), I guess God thought it up! Like the ones in Glenwood Springs, I imagine the Indians discovered them originally. The Ute Indians are from this part of Colorado.

Thank you so much for posting this here today, Stella. Many times I don’t get back to check comments at the end of the day, and would have missed Sharon’s update. Which I am so very glad to get. I have sensed for some time that something much bigger was moving there. And have missed her so much. I am so deeply grateful that she has come through this and is getting stronger.

You answered your own statement…that’s because it’s part of an organized program to dehumanize ‘us’ just like Goebbels used to dehumanize the Jews so that ‘proactive’ measures could be used against them. With us, at this point, it’s just to ‘dehumanize’ our philosophies and, as a byproduct, us. We will be offered a chance to recant and rejoin the new progressive order but only after publicly drinking the Kool Aid.
The MSM went into 3rd gear when it started to demonize white conservatives with ‘All in the Family’. The concept worked and conservatives and conservative values were attacked thru their most productive area, entertainment.
A lot of people scoff about the FEMA camp scenario but when you compare what happened in Nazi Germany between 1932 when Hitler slithered into power and just 1935 when the Nuremberg Laws were passed, when Germany went from a swinging liberal sybaritic society to an aver-the-eyes murder machine, does it seem all that far-fetched it could be going on here?
Trump didn’t appoint Hillary as chancellor but who knows who the Rat party will sugar-coat and run for anti-Christ lite in 2020? Gives ’em four more years to put dry wall and flooring in the camps…even Hitler started out with the death camps as concentration camps for ‘political’ prisoners.
See how easy it is to do that ‘Hitler’ thing?

I think it’s good to focus on the fundamentals: We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these Rights are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.
It’s very unifying; who would disagree? Besides statists, jihadis, racists, and darwinists who advocate that if you can forcibly take something, you deserve it?

We love our spiders. We are particularly fond of an almost hand-sized spider thst looks as if it’s wearing neon fuzzy leggings, and it builds huge webs.
On a dewy night or very early in the AM we can see thousands of grass spiders on the yard as the dew gathers on their webs and many different types can be seen scampering around our gardens and plants. We have the brown recluse and black widow but no one’s been bitten yet, jes gotta act right in their homes.
Get used to it – Ag entomologist estimates there are about a million various spiders to the acre in natural areas but the numbers in suburban areas is still considerable.

We have lots of spiders out in the woods too. In the fall the porch is often netted in webs.

I think they are amazing. We have an ATV path from the lake to the driveway that’s about ten feet wide. Drive that at night and your lights will see just web after web being strung from side to side. Ain’t unusual for us to go out and find a load of webs strung between equipment we’d parked just the night before. They’re just free entertainment without a political agenda.

I disagree. I don’t see how music being repetitive is brainwashing. Those are two different things. if you don’t like what’s on your local radio station, find another one, or get on iHeartRadio and start building your own station. I’ve done that and liked quite a bit. Too bad I don’t have enough data on my phone to run iHeart all the time. I enjoy Coldplay quite a bit, but lately their music has been deteriorating, too. “Hymn for the Weekend” has a great tune, but I can’t really handle lyrics that applaud getting drunk and high. That’s not a good thing. But I did enjoy a lot of thier earlier work, so arguing about them is a subjective argument.
I’ve been a music junky since high school. I’m aware that music is deteriorating. Take, for example, music about making love. You can have Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar on Me” or Jason Derrulo’s “In My Head.” I’ll take Def Leppard all day every day.
If the music industry is the problem, then the solution is the same one that we have for the media problem: get online and start looking for people who are trying to make a name for themselves. Here’s one that I was introduced too on Twitter. I liked this one so much I ended up buying it:

Early 90s. I was just out of high school. They formed out of Berklee College of Music. I had a few friends who were attending there — they were a band mostly appreciated by other musicians, too technically good for the masses. And the masses don’t really dig 42-minute songs, apparently.

Wednesday is afternoon tennis. We had a great turn out, 8 people, so two courts of doubles. One of my tennis friends told us that she had a great grandson born that day, around noon, and he was premature. 23 weeks. What can you say? It is a miracle that he is alive, surrounded by technological marvels, and fighting.

Thank you to you all. I let all of you know and called the prayer chain. The bleeding stopped about an hour after getting to the hospital. They did an ultrasound and other tests and the baby looks fine, placenta looks good, which they were afraid it was separating from the uterus. The baby is in perfect condition they said, ultrasound estimates her at 7 lbs 2 oz.
They are at a loss where it was coming from and they had a room full of doctors, nurses and techs all guessing. Of course I say it stopped because God was listening to prayers.
They let us leave about an hour ago, we just got home with no special orders other than to come back in if it starts again, water breaks or contractions 5 minutes apart.

Bleeding during any pregnancy is always scary.
My daughter is usually fairly level headed and doesn’t get upset, she was scared this morning. So I had to keep my cool and not let her see I was worried, because she only had me until her husband could get there and then we couldn’t get in touch with him for awhile.

It’s good to hear everything is okay now. My grandson turns 1 tomorrow, I was thinking my little guy and your baby girl might end up with the same birthday. She needs to stay in there until she’s really ready though. Will keep praying!

Is your grandson walking? I remember telling my daughter when he started walking she was going to regret it. She now knows what I meant. lol
They had I think everyone who worked in labor and delivery plus some in her room today and they were telling her that usually at 36 weeks they do fine, especially girls, but boys sometimes have a harder time. Ideally though they prefer them to be at least 38 weeks because there is less likelihood of them having problems eating or regulating their temperature.
I still want her to be born on Valentine’s day. 🙂

My best friend’s grandson was about three weeks early and he did very well. Went home after 3 or 4 days. If your baby girl is over 7 lbs, she’s going to do great if she comes a little early. 🙂

My youngest son was 5.5 weeks early, weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and he did fine. Although he had a lot of infections his first year, it seemed like he was on antibiotics more than he wasn’t. I always wondered if him being early played a part in that. I guess though it made him healthy the rest of his life because after he turned a year old he was rarely sick.

The only problem with that is we’re at the races watching. It’s just they’re on the pit side and we’re in the stands and the kids come home with us because we leave earlier than they are able to. We’re usually home at least an hour sometimes 3 or 4 hours before they are and I’m ready to crash. So it’s nice when the grandson is fast asleep and doesn’t wake up.

I’m late to the party (as usual), but so glad that everything is ok. So the pregnancy is at 36 weeks now? I’ll add prayers to everyone else’s that there are no more scares before she is safely delivered.

She was 36 weeks Tuesday.
With all the scares, the baby always seems to be in perfect condition and a little ahead of her age.
They made a comment about that when looking at all her ultrasounds yesterday that they’ve never seen a baby be so consistent in every ultrasound.

So I am sitting, on duty kinda, while two nice guys install an Eze Breeze Sunroom.. Our cottage came with a small screened in porch, so they are replacing the screens with a vinyl window system. We have been waiting for this since November. Hopefully, we will have another place to sit, even when it is a bit cold. Naturally, it just poured buckets so they had to stop… but things are moving along now. Woot woot. A good time to catch up on the world wind that is our political climate… but so far it’s all good.

Y’all may or may not remember that I posted a few days ago that a pizza delivery guy had been robbed, shot and killed just a little over a block from our New Orleans home. Probably not conbected except in themes, a 14-year old thug-in-training was arrested for robbing three pizza delivery guys at gunpoint. It’s that damned easy availability of guns, had that gun not lured that chile aways from straight and narrah he’d abin at the liberry astudyin’ for that MIT admissions test .

The arguement being made that these people have some arcane Merlinesque training and can’t be replaced is crap. There are building/personnel security experts in DoD and CIA who do the same thing. In US embassies and consulates they provide security for Military attaches and CIA operatives embedded there, as well as related sites that are not State-owned. They are just, if not more, capable of providing the same service if planted in State, just as they did when seconded to State.

The decision sends the clearest signal yet that President Donald Trump is determined to fulfill his campaign pledge to repeal Obamacare. Hours after being sworn in, Trump issued his first executive order allowing federal officials to start unwinding parts of the law.

Sadly true.
I have become a hate spewer to people I love because I say that Islam is inhumane and should be banned, because I call the the slaughter houses of Planned Parenthood by their proper name, because I say women like Maddona, Linda Sarsour, Donna Hylton, Hillary Clinton et al are evil people who do not care about women, because I say BLM promotes hate.
It is all so twisted and sad, heartbreaking, that people who think they are fighting for the good of the world are actually empowering evil.

I wonder if they have ever seen the pictures of the little girls with their legs spread and all bloody after they had the fgm done, or the gays being thrown off the roof, or women buried in the sand and then stoned to death. They would probably be horrified if you put those pictures where they could see them. SMH

I’m not used to working from noon to eleventy P.M.
I’m used to working from 0-dark-30 until 5 or 6 P.M., and going to bed at 10.
A dinner restaurant is a whole different animal. A new young lady started in the kitchen today. Very professional. She thought I’d been there for a long time. No ma’am, this is my second day here. Great crew today, just 4 of us. FOH crew was impressed. Chef is assembling a team of actual adults who care about quality: of time spent on the clock, of behavior, and of product.
It’s exhilarating. Met the bossman today. Shook my hand and said two words, “Thank you.”
