Good morning! We live in an interesting time.

In a world where we often talk of disrupters in business, Trump is the ultimate political disrupter. What if this supposedly vulgar, rude man who makes politically incorrect comments about various people and groups were the one finally to put our disadvantaged communities on the road to economic recovery and opportunity? What if Donald Trump made the inner cities great for the first time?

What would that do to the John Lewises of the world (not to mention the more obviously exploitative Sharptons and Jacksons)? It would make them irrelevant. More specifically, it would show them to be irrelevant, because they already are.

It’s not going to happen. You would have to classify socialism as something like a pyramid scheme and make it illegal. Take away people ability to easily make money with it and you will reduce the influence. It will still be in book clubs, and coffee houses because you can’t ban free speech, but you could get it back out of the colleges and universities.

Remember during the campaign how Trump would drop little truth bombs and then just go on as if his words were just a comment on the weather? It was so subtle many people just let it slip through the cracks.

One of the truth bombs Trump dropped was that he had no problem with AL Sharpton and that he understood Sharpton’s “schtick” then Trump added that Al wrote him a letter back when something was going on and it said something like “Sorry Donald I know you’re a great guy, I just gotta do my part in the game.”

Wait for that letter to be revealed at some point.

    • “Yes, I know I’m supposed to revere Lewis for what he did in Selma, but we can admire someone for his actions over fifty years ago without inoculating him from criticism in the present. And the “present” has been going on for awhile.”

Agreed. All I could think of was a line from Les Miserables when it comes to people trotting out their past the way Lewis does: “To that there is but one reply: In former days.”

As the writer of the article notes, the former days have been gone for awhile. Lewis does no one any favors pretending that the former days were just yesterday. It’s sad, because at this point I’m pretty calloused to the idea that he’s worth talking about because of Selma. I think of Tundra’s post the other day, where he talked about how he and the students he was traveling with all got up and left an eatery when the place refused to serve the black woman who was with them. The little thing that Tundra did, for me, in the present, has the same weight as the big thing that Lewis supposedly did.

From what I gather this is one of the things they’re terrified of. They’re all running scared that they won’t be able to keep them on the plantation and those who enjoy the plantation are scared their time is up.
It’s quite funny for me anyway seeing how scared all the groups are, animal rights activists, environmentalists, race card pushers, pro-abortion groups, LGBT groups, pro-illegal groups, muslim groups.

Change is scary. I’m confident many of those they are currently holding captive on the plantation will enjoy freedom once they have experienced it.

If you are raised as a dependent from the time you are born, it is practically impossible to imagine things any other way. If you have been told all of your life that wealth isn’t for you – maybe even that you are being robbed – it is difficult to think another way.

Sheep are dumb animals who stink really bad, that kind of sounds like at least 50% of liberals.

Back when my kids were in FFA, a new neighbor came to the county fair and fell in love with sheep. That was what they were going to raise now that she lived in the country. I tried to tell her sheep are dumb animals who must be sheered and sheering a flock of sheep is not for those who do not like hard work or have a weak stomach because they stink horribly.
She argued with me that those sheep didn’t smell that bad. I tried to explain how they were show lambs who had been kept clipped short and bathed regularly and raised inside.
She was smarter than me though because her one and only experience with sheep by walking through the show barn and looking at sheep made her an expert. Off to a sheep farm they went to buy sheep. They came back without even one little lamb because those sheep in the field weren’t as cute and pretty as the lambs at the county fair, nor were they clean and they smelled really bad.

They lasted about a year living the country life before they put their little farm without livestock or crops up for sale. lol

Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. I believe that Trump could get a well-paying job, commensurate with the ability to perform the work, for every resident of the innercity who wanted one and many would still think ill of him.
It’s a generational, cultural thing, regardless of what their ethnicity is the various groups at the lower rungs of the socioeconomic ladder have been steeped in the hatred of The Other. The political leaders of each group blame that group’s failures on The Other. The Other manipulates represses that group, The Other steals that group’s future. The Other has its collective heel on the group’s neck. A member of that group who isn’t part of the group’s political elite but manages to succeed is a tool of The Other and is marked with the appropriate label like Uncle Tom or Tio Taco.
If Trump can make a dent in the Rat’s ‘entitlement culture’ I it won’t have an immediate effect but it just might start a change…unless subsequent Rat administrations force those communities back into a flock-shepherd relationship.

I got a bit of a late start… but I had an epiphany of sorts… thinking about the election… thinking hard about the issue of the electoral college vs popular vote… I realized that our election(presidential) is two dimensional… Candidates have to win votes, but they also have to win geographic areas,,,, Our founding fathers were brilliant. Dimensions are important, it is like the difference between speed and velocity. hmmmmmmmmmmm

Look at the two county maps again.

Rush was right when he said “flyover country”, regarding most of America.

Because you cannot drive across America from East to West, or from North to South, or even diagonally, without driving through red counties. And that even goes for every state and region. You can’t drive from LA to Seattle without driving through Red counties.

The only way to get from Blue NYC to Blue LA or from Blue Seattle to Blue Miami is to fly.

Once the US started using computer models made in Europe for here, the weather forecasting accuracy dropped to being wrong even a few hours ahead.

Winter has always been mild compared to elsewhere. It was on of the things the first settlers commented on about the area. There was 5 feet of snow at water level about a 100 years ago, but nothing close since. It’s been below freezing 10 degrees or less for the last couple of weeks at 4am but no snow. It was like this a few years in a row in the 70’s. I used to skate on ponds back then. It could be like this cold and rain until July. It could even snow into March. It will bounce around in the 40’s from October through June, then 80’s from July through September. Unless of course it doesn’t. It’s WEATHER.

Also, that since Latinos were now in the majority they shouln’t be covered by minority entitlements. Add that to the Latinos pushing black residents out of traditionally black areas in many major cities and you have…..potential Republicans!!!
