I’ve got a list. People I avoid reading because they just want the fame.

It grows. I added Lt. Col. Allen West to the list about a year ago.

Anyone whose site is all clickbait and no content, and whose headlines themselves are clickbait, I avoid. If your headlines contain the word “THIS” in caps, you only know how to write clickbait headlines for stupid people who will click on them.

I got West banned from BadBlue a few weeks back.

Then I wrote and told him, and why. Wanted you for Preezy, bro. Now you stoop to “THIS”!?

I quit reading Malkin years and years ago, back in the LGF days. Why? She never commented in her own comment sections. She wanted the TeeVee time.

Alex Jones was always no-go for me. He is a publicity-seeker.

Who else turned me off, viscerally, for that reason?

Gah. Black dude. Oh, I remember now.

              Home Page

Kevin Jackson. Used to love the dude. He was always just a self-promoting clickbait user. I figured it out after a month. Kevin’s page is the same as Allen West’s page.

There’s a Gift, in Christian doctrine, given by the Holy Spirit, called Discernment.

I’m not sure about the rest of the gifts, but I’m pretty sure I got that one, when gifts were handed out.

That’s called the spiritual gift of Discernment.

I’ve dealt with it for quite a while. i just don’t have all those other gifts.

Paul wasn’t a slouch, concerning writing.

                  1 Corinthians 12 (KJV)

1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

                  8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

                  9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

14 For the body is not one member, but many.

Can we say with certainty that elements of the Left that do not have a plan or plans to retire selected members of the Right? How far out on the fringes do we go? Could you consider those in the BLM who target police?
The 60s Rat Party was the party of wussy peaceniks but supported, excused and protected deadly violent black and Latino elements in and out of the Party. In the last 50 years we’ve seen it absorb overseas Muslim, Latino and drug dealing elements, all from areas where politics at gunpoint is a cultural norm. We’ve seen them lead the charge, for various reasons, to decriminalize behaviors in society that would benefit their members and weaken traditional society. We’ve seen them do everything they could to make those who are not Leftist adherents unable to defend their positions, if not their lives.
With the mix they laughingly call the Democratic Party getting closer and closer to destroying the traditional American dream and turning the country into a real world Stanley Kubrick film you don’t think there aren’t party members who’d consider a little wet action as grease to move the inevitable along?

In the Shopping Cart of a Food Stamp Household: Lots of Soda

The answer was largely a mystery until now. The United States Department of Agriculture, which oversees the $74 billion food stamp program called SNAP, has published a detailed report that provides a glimpse into the shopping cart of the typical household that receives food stamps.

The findings show that the No. 1 purchases by SNAP households are soft drinks, which accounted for 5 percent of the dollars they spent on food. The category of ‘sweetened beverages,’ which includes soft drinks, fruit juices, energy drinks and sweetened teas, accounted for almost 10 percent of the dollars they spent on food. “In this sense, SNAP is a multibillion-dollar taxpayer subsidy of the soda industry,” said Marion Nestle, a professor of nutrition, food studies and public health at New York University. “It’s pretty shocking.”

Here’s the report from the USDA:

      • I agree. I don’t want it to be electronic, either. Let them receive the foodstuffs delivered to their house.

I’ve known people on food stamps/gov’t benefits. They’re not fun to deal with. The mere idea that they aren’t entitled to the extras that the rest of us have to purchase with our own money is something that sends them into a rage. Being a Conservative, the concept that I was “being mean” wasn’t the greatest argument. Being a capitalist who’s forced with threat of imprisonment if she doesn’t pay taxes, the idea that “it’s none of your business what we buy” didn’t go so far either.

If they could at least make a pretense of being grateful, I might be less hard- hearted towards them. But all I’ve seen so far is entitlement …and lots of people in stores using EBT to buy candy and sodas.

        • A few years ago, I wanted to start a small business. I wanted to become an LLC so I would have some protection, and I had an instructor at the college I attend who agreed to meet with me and discuss it. In the end, I couldn’t afford to do anything. My business, which I gave up on a few years later, was just fledgling, and the tax burden that the state of Indiana would have laid on me for becoming a recognized business would have meant I would be running a deficit until the business took off, if it ever did.

I was extremely disappointed and unable to act on what I had hoped to use as a side income. I ended up a gas station later that afternoon to buy some gas for my car and I got stuck in line behind a woman who was using her EBT card to buy candy bars, a soda, and an energy drink. Indiana EBT actually won’t let you use it to purchase an energy drink, as I learned in the ten minutes I spent in line waiting, but it will let you buy candy and soda.

I’ve never forgotten that incident. To this day, I’m upset when I remember that that woman was allowed to use other people’s tax money to buy junk food, and I was preemptively cut down in my attempts to start a business because of the tax burden.

I’m glad the government – state and federal – have their priorities straight. /sarc

My grandmother used to trade the no-workin’-sumsabitches oleo for their real butter. I think much of the problem these days is they don’t know anything other than fast food and a coke.

My first choice will always be commodities like the Indians do it. They don’t get all fresh food and get a lot of canned food, but at least it’s all food.

My second choice would be limits on what they can get at the store, similar to what they can get with commodities, ground beef, chicken, fresh fruit and root veggies, canned veggies, pasta, raisins, prunes, oatmeal, milk, juice and non-sugar cereal along with flour and cornmeal.

Then you get all the whiney crap about being discriminated sgainst since you can’t get that b’day cake on SNAP, that your children are discriminated against because the children of the working blue-eyed devil/gringo can buy cola and candy, and there’s the argument about the white overloards not understanding the cultural nutrition needs of the various ethnic groups…and it goes on.
The apologist progs who manage the programs shed a tear for the recipients, open up a taxpayer’s vein and bleed for them. Let’s not forget the medical aspects to this, foljs on SNAP frequently have medical problems which, were you or I to go to a doctor with, would be blamed on poor nutrition. There are no restrictions on what SNAP recipients can buy even if they have problems like diabetes, obesity, heart/kidney disease, etc. Geez, what could go wrong?

I see this all of the time, irrespective of race. The definition of what constitutes a buyable commodity on food stamps is basically down to anything that has an ingredient/nutrition label on the package…except for seeds, you can buy seeds to grow food. Can’t buy hot, prepared food but you can buy birthday cakes.

Some years back the new Moslem immigrants started buying the convenience stores in the projects from the Vietnamese who mainly ran them. They sell cigarettes, beer, cheap wine, soda, rolling papers, 3X gang t-shirts, sugar-laden snax…you know, all the stuff you need to live in public housing.
Some astute observer noticed that when the buyer swiped the SNAP card and punched in the PIN code an ‘Arab’ checker in the next lane would look over the buyer’s shoulder, watch what the buyer was punching in and call the numbers out in Arabic to another checker who’d write them down. The SNAP card number was saved in the system and now the store also had the PIN so the store could use them to tap a dollar or two here and there. Not enough to kill the account or make the owner suspicious, but with hundreds of accounts on hand and over time it adds up. As Mama would let the child take the card to buy soda and snax at the store it just looked like he’d gone a bit overboard a time or two…if she even ever checked.

It’s only shocking to them. They must have cooks and maids and such who shop because those of us who actually buy our own groceries and stand in line have known this for years.

Also, it should be illegal to use food stamps at convenience stores. I resent them spending money on something five times more expensive than a grocery or Walmart.

That’s a gooooooood start. When those Fed employees start retiring judt don’t fill their slots. Start by not replacing ‘supervisors’ as you’ll find in larger agencies you have far more levels of supervision and supervisors than you do in private business where you have to make a profit.
Case in point: USDA facility (yes, Department of Agriculture) agency developed the Federal version of the 401k program. They ran it for years until the board in DC that managed it decided (under Clinton) to privatize it, let a civilian company run it some 15 years ago. Within months they’d streamlined the program to where enrollees could see the results of their investments daily and move their investments daily instead of monthly. They’ve created more investment opportunities and are much more cost effective than the Feds were.
Sidebar: In the civilian world the employees of the 401k program, on termination of their jobs, would have been layed off. In the Fed world the employees of the 401k program were allowed to push employees in the same job series who had less time in service out of a job. Well the same series were employed in a health insurance program so on Monday morning a mob of employees who were doing 401k on COB Friday are now advising callers on health insurance. Meanwhile HRS was crashing about trying to find equally disconnected jobs for the displaced health insurance employees.

Yeah, let’s start privatizing the Fed jovs that are more civilian than government, that should hit close to 20% right there. Yes, Fed employees could and probably largely would (at least the ones who want to work) be hired by the private org taking the function over. I remember the 401k foljs universally whining that they couldn’t work for the company taking over the program because they would make less money and notbhave the benefits the Feds had. Well sure, that private company has to make money to pay money and to make money the workers have to WORK. As for the bennies, I’ve already said how, when I retired, I was up to 65 paid days a year I didn’t have to be at work – how many for-profit budinesses can afford to do that for their employees?

I keep on trying yo post this and my iPad keeps on crashing – NSA must have passed tonite’s censorship moderation to the Planned Parenthood crew.
Those Sopger forceps mentioned in the article are not regular medical instruments repurposed for murder, they’re specially designed by an abortionist doctor to make the process of tearing apart a squirmy 2nd trimester baby objecting to its destruction. I have a link to the doc’s testimony on them if you have a very strong stomach.
Europe’s now very comfortable with abortion, warming to euthanasia for the terminally ill and active euthanasia of the retarded, severely disabled and infirm is just over the horizon. Everything old is new sgain, right Adolph?

Something a bit lighter, and a treat for Outlander fans. A good interview with Diana, and a peek into the new season:

I watched season one while I was in the hotel last year, but until I get another out of my local area client, I’ll need to wait. As I recall there was a little too much contemporary shock subjects for me.

Are you talking about sex? That’s not really contemporary.

You can avoid looking at those bits, if you like. I will point out that the sex is between two married people – whether it’s the first husband, Frank, or the second husband, Jamie.

The sex wasn’t added for television. It was in the books too. I will say that seeing something and reading about it are very different. Less intimate, if you like. My own feeling about it is that I could do without it, but it doesn’t bother me either.

The first good news doctor appointment in awhile. She’s still head down, measuring within a week of where she should be.
She gave the doctor and us a scare at first because her heartbeat was in the 180’s but it dropped back down to the low 150’s.
She has to go to the hospital next week and go through all that mumbo jumbo and she’s opted to start seeing one of the doctors near the hospital so that if she goes into labor while her doctor is on vacation at least she will have seen the doctor before who delivers her.
She said today if she goes into labor anytime after 36 weeks they’ll let her go ahead and have her.
She also is now going to be on vacation for 4 weeks. It’s upsetting to me that a doctor would go on vacation when one of their patients is in her final month, but I guess all they do is catch her on her way out. I told my daughter I could do that. lol

I imagine it would be difficult to take a vacation if you had to wait til a time when none of your patients were due to deliver – especially a 4-week vacation.

Used to be, at the hosputal where my ex worked, the OBs would induce labor en masse when they had a particular conference or event they wanted to attend. You could tell when they’re planning to be out of town, the birth announcements would run for two pages. They’d never admit it but the staff knew.
Opposite of that was states like Florida back in the 70s/80s when OBs couldn’t get reasonably affordable malpractice insurance due to the tort crowd discovering nuisance insurance suits for injury to the newborn.

My older grandson was born on July 3 – induced labor. Doctor didn’t want to be stuck delivering him on a holiday. In my opinion, he wasn’t ready to be born.

When my daughter had her second, she went with a midwife and doula. She had a natural birth in a birthing center in the hospital. Much better.

I know that, but she doesn’t just see OB patients and she only has 2 pregnant women right now.
It would be a little different if she had someone coming in to cover for her that was accredited with the hospital, but if my daughter took the route then she’d be stuck with whatever doctor was on call at the hospital.
My daughter is bummed about it because she knows her and her history.

It will all soon be forgotten. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a Valentine’s baby. We have a New Year’s baby, so we need a Valentine’s baby as well. 🙂

My daughter has gotten to the waddle stage, she’s ready for it to be over with. She never waddled with the first one, although she’s gained about the same amount of weight with this one.

Saw a similar story below…My doctor induced another patient and I so we wouldn’t interrupt his weekend fishing trip…midday Friday he gave up.
I started it with a early Saturday morning call, and the other patient followed up later that day…
None the less he ended up postponing his fishing LOL.
But he laughed it off say that the fish probably weren’t biting anyway, but looked like his OB ladies were.

Wash Post reporting that Nigerian military confused a refugee camp housing refugees from Boko Haram with a Boko Haram camp proper, bombing it. Doctors Without Borders is saying over 50 dead, including international aid workers, and 120 wounded. Both figures will probably climb.
Nigerians ‘confused the refugee camp, housing some 25,000 refugees, with a Boko Haram camp. And these pilots are supposed to be the cream of the Nigerian military.

Today I got my hair done. On the way back I got really hungry and stopped in the drive-thru at Chik-fil-a. A cop car pulled up behind me just as I gave the girl my credit card, so I told her I wanted to pay for the cop’s meal, too. I was delighted to be in a position to do this, but I was more delighted with her reaction. She gave me the impression that this was not an unusual thing for her to handle there. I left feeling really good.

After that, I was on the way to the chiropractor. He and is son and DIL are going to the Inauguration. He will stay in the hotel room and babysit with their small baby. 😀 I can’t wait to hear about it.

Perhaps they don’t want to become collateral damage when TSHTF.

So, comes the question, if they’re hinting the assassins used polonium…where did they get it? You can’t just go on eBay or Amazon, you gotta have someone with a specific reactor type. Why use it when there are some very good and more easily available poisons that could do the job without the issues inherent to using radioactive substances?
Of course if I were a Rat activist trying to pin the poisoning on the Russians, who’ve used it before, or even the Israeli who’ve been alleged to use it before, then why not get rid of a Trump confidant and pin the death on the Russians or Israelis (both tied to Trump) – win win.

So, a friend of mine, sorta, got ransomware on his PC today.

He said it was given to him by an ex-son-in-law (shut up, we’re hillbillies, I accept that, reluctantly), and I only ever spoke to him on the phone, with his wife next to me in a store whose ceiling I was patching with drywall mud…

He just got Comcast internet this morning, he surfed for about an hour (he said), and went to work, after (he said) shutting it down. His wife said her former SIL said it was Refurbished.

Dude comes back from work, turns it on, and All Of Windows 10 is replaced by a huge message saying, “Call 555-xxx-xxxx”. He, being an old guy (older than me, anyhow), called the number, and got either a Pakistani or Indian (we all know the accent), who told him that he could pay $299 dollars (he paid $350 for the computer, from Wal-Mart, according to his ex-SIL), to unlock his computer.

Ransomware. Right out of the box. Sam Walton is spinning in his grave.

He tells me, on the phone, with mud-knife in my hand, I got Internet this morning, browsed the web for about an hour. Came back and saw this.

I would love if he would be honest and tell me what he browsed. Or what he downloaded and ran.

He hung up on the guy and called back. Another accented individual told him that he could pay $199.

He talked more with the guy and the guy said “We’ve got this one-time deal, $99 for two months!”

My friend is over 70. Brand new computer with ransomware installed already, unless he did something to make it happen in just one hour. Which is actually possible, depending upon many things.
