  9. Stella, you can definitely remove this comment if you need to. I’ll understand.

I was wondering if anyone could explain to me what Pizzagate is, and preferably without any link to shady-looking websites. For the first couple of weeks after I joined Gab I had to just not be there because people went on and on about this. Too bad their presentation was…well…I haven’t seen anything presented that badly since the 9/11 Troofers were trying to say it was an inside job.

I’m not an expert by any means about this, and I’m sure someone will explain it. I will say that the reason why you haven’t seen posts about it at CTH is that SD considers it to be a hoax.

      Liked by 2 people

      • I wondered why SD had never mentioned it over there. I remember the huge, huge, comments people put up over there that supposedly proved Pizzagate by linking every single email that contained the Magic Code (or whatever.) It was pretty annoying.

All I know is I looked at the one website someone over at CTH linked and they looked about as believable as the Troofers. But I noticed Gab posters were obsessed with it when I joined.

        • Hi Stella and Rhea… It all started with the Wikileaks emails about the Podesta brothers and numerous emails discussing pizza and other food related words that are the same words that the FBI says are used by pedophiles to mean children. People have been researching it ever since. They are looking at connections between the Clintons, Epstein, the Podesta brothers, and higher ups in our government. This is a very basic summary. I hope it helps.

What we believe, and what there is concrete evidence that would justify a public pronouncement, are two different things. There is a lot of crap out there – lots of heat, and very little light. If things become more clear, then it will make sense to have a conversation about it. Since we don’t have facts to deal with, really, a conversation would be premature.

          • Cetera says:

Yeah, I agree with this. The downside, of course, is that those who would be tasked with providing that light (if this is true) are likely corrupted and compromised. Ideally, that’s how evil always defends itself, by taking in those who would oppose it. It can then operate in a blind spot, unseen by the common folk who don’t even know to look, and the watchers involved. No one remains to sound an alarm.

Our society fell away from a culture that would prevent such things. We outsourced responsibility and morality to fewer and fewer folks and partied instead, feeling secure in our safe spaces. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll. But sex is a powerful temptress, and the party spilled over into the watchers, who were less supported by those they watch for, and became vulnerable. The watchers were attacked from without, and corrupted from within, and no one realized when the watchers were no more.

Now all that is left is a few amateurs who have stumbled onto the danger. But the enemy is so big, has been at it for so long, that it is difficult to point to. Everywhere you point, there the enemy is, and when the enemy is everywhere, it all looks the same as always. Normalcy bias, blinders to the responsibility of the partiers, and the inexpertise of the amateurs, all lead to an inability for most to see, understand, or accept.

So, what to do, what to do? Pray, and pray unceasingly. Pray that you may not be put to the test. Pray that the light will shine forth in the darkness and illuminate hearts who aren’t even aware they aren’t standing in the light. Conversion will be the only recourse.

And always remember, at all times, at all places, for all peoples, the wages of sin is death.

Prayer is the correct response. Trying to shed light is also a correct response. The danger lies in stating that something is true when there isn’t clear evidence to support it. Once your integrity is suspect, it is difficult to regain it. We all make mistakes – nobody is perfect – but we must try to be honest and truthful at all times.

It came about/was discovered by the folks who discovered the Spirit Cooking stuff. They were digging for more info on Podesta’s occultist ties, and it all emerged from that.

I know there are a lot of folks who do think it is a hoax. There is certainly a metric ton of pure crap out there, with strawmen, innuendo, and incoherence. However, there are more than a few pieces that sure appear to be absolutely damning, and way beyond the realm of mere coincidence.

Trying to wade through the garbage that is out there regarding pizzagate is almost impossible at this point. It would take a great many hours to do so. There is some definite creepiness going on with Comet Ping Pong and Besta Pizza. Mostly it is a lot of circumstantial evidence, although the stuff with the pedophile symbols in the logos seems a little on-the-nose.

What pulled it together for me and made me realize there was something more to it was the police drawings/e-fits of child abduction suspects from Portugal that looked uncannily like the Podesta brothers. It provided a lot of string to tie all this together and take it beyond something that could be explained by coincidence and into the realm of plausibility, and beyond even plausible, that it was probable.

These are OK summaries of info that you can look at to get an idea:

          • Gosnell’s actions were not “literally sunshine and lollipops,” even in comparison. Abusing a child after they’re born is only slightly more evil to my mind then killing them before they are born. It’s really not much different. Evil is evil. I don’t appreciate your comment that comes across as thought it is minimizing what Gosnell did. These people might be worse, but the jury is still out on them. The jury has come back for Gosnell.

I’ve read the living resistance post, and I appreciate an article written by someone who manages not to come across like a crazed lunatic. The biggest problem with the Pizzagaters is that even if this does turn out to be true (the article is mostly circumstantial evidence. You can convict on circumstantial evidence, but I’d wager that a good defense attorney could tear the argument apart), the lunatics who have been carrying on about this for weeks and weeks have pretty much discredited the whole thing with their mass conspiracy theory behavior.

Wooly isn’t kidding, when he says pray before you read. • The problem is that hyperbole of that nature is what caused me to write a bunch of folks on Gab off as complete lunatics and insane conspiracy theorists back when this first became a thing. Maybe it is that bad, but in a case where there isn’t a lot solid evidence, it’s much wiser to show people what evidence you do have and let them draw their own conclusions in the matter.

If you don’t like dealing with/ignoring/skipping over stupid people online, you will have an even worse time.

If you want well reasoned, insightful, stimulating, arm-chair conversation that will help you grow mentally, spiritually, and intellectually, where you can learn new ideas and have experts explain them to you in a cultured, brilliant, well-written institution of learning, there is only one place I know of that comes close. That is the Belmont Club, hosted by PJMedia and Richard Fernandez (pjmedia.com/richardfernandez).

Gab is not for dialect discussion. It is basically the lowest form of communication possible between two people, excluding Twitter. It is very good for mass-movement of memes and feelings very quickly, but that is all. Twitter is a mess of idiots and emotions and stupidity and hyperbole. Gab will be too, and already is, but with less restrictions on what you can say.

                  • With all due respect, I am aware of how both Gab and Twitter work, since I’m on both of them. I am also aware of how the Internet works. Hyperbole does not convince me that there’s anything behind Pizzagate. It makes me less convinced because I’ve seen it all before on Gab. Liberals spend a lot of time using hyperbole about things. I don’t get more convinced the longer they do it either. As I said in my first post I haven’t seen anything presented that badly since the 9/11 Troofers with their “proof” that 9/11 was an inside job. If there’s truth behind Pizzagate I expect that the facts can speak for themselves and the hyperbole won’t be necessary.

I’m trying to figure how to explain why I took such umbrage about the statement about Gosnell. This is all I have: http://www.nukingpolitics.com/2016/09/guest-blogger-why-i-am-pro-life.html

I understand, and am not trying to make light of abortion or Gosnell. However, at least all his victims suffered minimally, died innocents, and went straight to Jesus. He wasn’t trying to break their minds and steal their souls, turn them into demonic monsters, try and use them to enslave others, and try to see if he could destroy their free will. He murdered them, he robbed and cheated them, but he didn’t desecrate them to the extent that is alleged here.

It is all very far-fetched and removed from all reality I’ve ever experienced personally, and I hope it stays that way. I hope it all turns out to be every bit as ridiculous as the lizard people conspiracy theories and UFO hoaxes. It is too nightmarish, indeed, literally hell-ish (not hyperbole, actual literally literal).

Thinking about this stuff, and the article link Mary posted earlier. Some people refuse to believe things like this because the mind wants to back away from it, almost instinctively refusing to believe there are humans who can be so evil.

I believe quote the contrary. Sin and evil consume us. We humans are meant to protect ourselves the only foolproof way there is, through total immersion in what Bishop Barron commonly refers to as “the right ordered worship of God.” Putting God first always, submitting (that word is key) ourselves ultimately, infinitely to God.

You cannot give yourself a little bit to sin. Evermore you lose. When I am hateful, hurtful, selfish, angry, say unkind words, without calling myself back to God, without totally re-directing myself by fleeing to Jesus though the Sacrament of Reconciliation (wow, is that EVER the right description), I get more angry, more vicious in my words and deeds. I start to matter a lot more, and even loved ones a lot less.

A great example of the potential depravity of man can be seen in the results of our sexual sins. First off, I believe they get worse. Few people realize that pornography is destroying people’s lives and families. The extent of the damage, including impotency, is mostly unknown. Adultery destroys the lives of people in at least two families, and people revel in it.

Finally, it seems to me that people who practice immoral and risky sexual behaviors have no stopping point, they frequently keep getting worse. Grown men use prostitutes, knowing not only the risks and immorality of it, but knowing that many, if not most, or even all, prostitutes are victims, so, so many forced into the lifestyle, kidnapped, sold, abused, or the victim of terrible life situations. And a man will still abuse this poor person more.

Sin is addictive, destructive, unending. Jesus Christ provides us the only escape. To refuse that choice is to start the short walk toward depravity and evil. We have no protection from our own concupiscent natures except total immersion in God’s Divine Mercy.

            Agree on all points, Menagerie.

As far as Pizzagate is concerned, I generally hold to the old adage “where there is smoke, there is fire.” And in this particular case, the smoke comes from fires burning far, far below.

I believe that the garbage which is obscuring the truth–whatever that truth is, and however huge and pervasive it may be–has been intentionally placed there, by Satan, in the certain and tested knowledge that even the most heinous of sins can be minimized in humans’ perceptions if you muddy the waters enough.

And make people believe they would look “silly” to believe the truth. I currently hold no opinion on whether pizzagate is true, I am not sure. But I am sure the possibility is there, and the potential for evil is there in numerous parties alleged to be a part of this.

As far as I know, the descriptions of artwork hung in, is it Podesta or his brother’s house, is accurate. That is a starting point for me. As I said, you don’t dabble in evil, you get sucked all in.

I was so angry that I was outside yelling. My landlady was still at work, and heard me through the brick building. I was yelling an expletive and a named religion. And the same and a named founder of a religion.

She heard me, and came outside and castigated me. I said, should I remain silent??

She told me, after I said the same about my sometime-fantasy Big Red Button, that Muslims need Christ.

I missed your comment yesterday, and had to go look it up. Then I laughed out loud.

It is true, they need Christ, badly. Islam as a religion is fundamentally opposed to all things Christ-like and Christian. The lazy intellectuals who equate Allah and God/YHWH don’t understand anything about either.

If you had a red button, and didn’t use it in the manner previously advocated, I would beat you around the head until you did, or I acquired said button to do it myself, just to be sure. I thank God on a regular basis that I’m not in charge, and don’t have any buttons like you describe. I don’t want to be in charge, and I don’t want to have to judge anyone. It is beyond my abilities, and my paygrade. I wouldn’t do a good job of it.

There are lots of conversions going on, thankfully. There need to be many, many more. Each one is a soul that isn’t lost, and there are a lot of saints made every day through martyrdom, and when viewed that way, He is winning. It sure seems like losing to us, though. God’s ways aren’t our ways. Hopefully He has a plan. May all be receptive to it.
