But traditional pickles were fermented, the old barrel pickle. Hard to find them any more, like you have the devil’s own time finding real sauerkraut, that blasted liability thing. I’ll bet a deep fried fermented pickle would be good, just gotta get the right batter.
Next yer gonna tell me that deep fried butter is yucky.

I’ve never been to a state fair, and being kosher, I can’t even try food junk. Fried pickles were offered at B.B.King birthday celebration in Memphis, in a restaurant on Beale street. Forgot the name of the restaurant (it was about 30 years ago), and didn’t eat anything there, but I was told that the restaurant specialized in Southern cuisine.

I’m thinking Boing Boing is being pressured to lower the rediculous costs. No one else’s 5th generation fighters are running this much and ours shouldn’t either.
Our aircraft development has a pattern: developer submits a winning design, design develops issues after acceptance, more money’s thrown at the already accepted design and so it goes. Years after the initial acceptance there’ll be upgrades and new series that all require the money hose be turned on again.
If Trump can bring our defense contractors into line, have them adopt honest and efficient business practices, we’ll all be in better shape. One AF F-35 price is $148 million, one Marine F-35 is $251 million and one Navy F-35 is $337 million. Each one can be downed by a far, farbless exoensive missile.

Rats, iPad just ‘sent’ it out of the blue.
Each one can be downed by a far, far less expensive missile. Each is vulnerable on the ground or on a ship. Each one requires an extensive support system to accompany it and Each one requires taxpayer monies to be diverted from other areas. Time to rethink weapons acquisition policies.

I believe there’s no doubt that there is an established rat line for Moslem terrs in Europe. The various major terr groups know how to set up networks and to have an effective operation you need a developed infrastructure.
I’m feeling the authorities are not discussing their knowledge of the terrs’ ops as they don’t want to alarm the public and the pols are mum because they don’t want to let on how badly they’ve screwed up and how deeply they are buried in this.
LikeLiked by 5 people
Now let’s think about this…
The various old-school Palestinian/Moslem terr groups have been in the US for decades. At some points in the past the groups here supplied a good bit of the funding for these groups’ Mideast operations, they were that organized.
So, an infrastructure of sorts already existed when newer groups of Moslem terrs came here, and there’s no doubt some coordination and sharing existed/exists. See where I’m going here…?

Joshua: They don’t actually believe any of that pork-bacon-pig stuff.
They only use it as a form of cultural dominance. As with Jews, they are only prohibited from ingesting pig products, alcohol, etc. If any Muslim tells any employer they are not allowed to touch, or sell bacon, booze, etc… They. Are. Lying.
They just know that most gullible, multi-cultural Westerners haven’t actually studied their rule book, their ahadith, and their fatwas; that we’ll just nod and accept what they say.
In other words, it won’t work. They actually laugh when we say stuff like this, because we’re playing right into their hand. Only eliminating them will work.

Since most haven’t read their rule books, and are too lazy to do so, we just take every Muslim at their word, except when they say they are killing because Islam tells them to kill. THEN, the West says “No, they don’t really mean that.”

4 Washington state electors to be fined $1,000 for vote
Clinton won the state’s popular vote last month, earning her 12 electoral votes. Under state law, presidential electors — who are chosen by their party at their state convention — sign a pledge to vote for their party’s nominees for president and vice president. But during Monday’s Electoral College vote in Olympia, Clinton got just eight votes, while former Secretary of State Colin Powell got three and Native American tribal elder and activist Faith Spotted Eagle got one vote.

I was among a group of folks this week who all volunteer for various endeavors.
After some scripture reading a question was posed. “How have we “made known the message” of God’s love this Christmas?
You may not mention material goods or your family in your answer.
It was a very interesting discussion.
In the beautiful words of St. Francis “Preach, preach, preach, and when absolutely necessary use words.”

I did not. Thank you, Menagerie.
May we never forget to see in our hearts the little Babe of Bethlehem, who came to save us from sin. We must never forget that the wood of the manger that held Him so securely would one day give way to the wood of the cross. May we too embrace Him with all of our love as did St. Francis.

My life is full of fear. I was given the courage to leave, at long last.
I wasn’t afraid to stay. I was afraid to leave. To your last question: Yes, God’s been preparing me for that for a long time now.

“All life is a series of problems which we must try and solve. The first one, then the next, and then the next, until at last we die.”
We all fear the unknown. Jump in and conquer it.

I believe that He never creates a problem without creating a solution first. All we have to do is have faith that the solution is there, keep our eyes open to see it, and have enough common sense to recognize the right one.

Reminds me of when I started my own stucco business 30 years ago. Just my brother and myself, money was tight and only could buy limited equipment.
Amazing what one can do with some ingenuity and want to. We joked about it, but should have named the business “2 Plank Plastering”. Oh to be young and agile once again.
So I was thinking maybe these guys are just starting out, doing what needs to be done with what they got, beating out the big boys with all of their fancy equipment and high overhead.
