Actually, this loss was tempered by the Army win, if that makes any sense. Those guys have tried so hard for so long it would be difficult not to be happy for them.

I remember back a few years ago when, after Army lost, the team had tried so hard, the qtrback cried and sobbed so that a much decorated Admiral went down on the field and hugged him. It really tore at my heart………..just not enough to make me want to give up the win.

Sitting like a lump is pretty restful. I am feeling better this AM still not 100%. Looking at the computer for very long gives me a headache, as does sitting up but today is a new day so I’m hoping to feel better but can already feel the body aches 😕.

I know 🙄. Not done with Christmas shopping, need to put together a Christmas grocery list but all food sound gross, I’ve got 3 coming Christmas Eve morning then driving down to IL Christmas day, and then of course all the regular duties of life. And I missed the Christmas part of the season.
Did I mention the snow?
Ok I’m sounding like a whiner. Zipping the lips.

Don’t worry – it will get done, and if it doesn’t, Christmas will come anyway!
I was really down at Thanksgiving, and my daughter said we could go out for Chinese, and it would still be Thanksgiving. I had my groceries delivered, which saved me a bunch of energy, and the kids stayed in a hotel instead of with me, which took a lot of pressure off.
Do what you can, delegate (if necessary), and enjoy your Christmas! Don’t forget shopping on line. I do almost all of my shopping that way, and have for a couple of years now.

I just got a book I ordered on line for one of my daughters 🙂 . I never have the big gatherings (thankfully) so it is just the kids on Christmas eve and we will probably go to their local favorite restaurants they get my cooking at grandmas so when they are in town they like to go their old favorite places.
Gifts aren’t too bad and I do have almost two weeks 😬

I do Christmas Eve just for my DD and her family (and me, of course). I’m glad I don’t have to do the Christmas Day dinner. Besides, with such a small group I can afford to do a nice beef roast, and shrimp!

My neighbor, who I am kinda named after, because of the picture of the hanoverian in a field of purple wooly phlox that my dad took and had framed years ago, which I sent her last Christmastime for looking after Tripod, even though he was trapped in a basement the whole time…
…she knows I haven’t had a Sunday off in about 9 years, and that now, my Sundays are free. She invited me to Church today.
So, I’m going to church today with the lady responsible (she has no clue, even though the pic is hanging in her bathroom) for my nic-change.
Hope and change.

Tripwire dates: 19 December 2016 Electoral College meets
28 December 2016 Deadline for electoral votes to be received by responsible Federal officials in DC
06 January 2017 Congress meets in joint session to count the electoral votes
20 January 2017 President sworn in
US Archives say that historically 99% of the electors vote as pledged so 19 December seems les of a problem. The new Congress is sworn in on the 3rd of January so the Republican controlled Congress will be in place for the count. Of course Congress could pass a law moving the count earlier or later but that wouldn’t do much other than cloud the issue…it’s also highly unlikely that thevlaw would pass both Houses.
Looks like the plan might be to take the election to the Supreme Court, arguing foreign influences threw it to Trump. SCoTUS is off for Christmas and New Years but would undoubtedly reconvene as they did in the 2000 election…problem is it ain’t a full Court. Also axquestion as to whst the CIA would say as Republicans could demand a review of exactly how the Company got the info on thevhacking and how thry ID’d the Russians. That would involve new, post-Snowden procedures and they don’t wanna give them up.
If this is going to be contested it’s going to be in the SCotUS and I have no doubt teams of Rat lawyers are burning thebmidnight oil setting up arguements.

According to some reading I’ve recently done, the new republican party at the time, refused any compromise even when full capitulation was offered to allow secession of states to take place and thereby have a majority vote that would otherwise be impossible.

Nye, those were different men then. Your word, is your bond, Honor, meant something. Now with that said, read the Battle Cry of Freedom. It’s the same players now as back then. From my perspective, now there is no honor, no bond, it’s all bottom line and how can we scam these people. Technology has made the game quicker to play. Millionaire by noon, poor by midnight…….

They cannot afford to open themselves up to that type of scrutiny. Not with Trump ready to counter punch and a legion of patriots standing ready at the door. December 19th, the Electoral College votes as it should, votes will be received on time, January 6th votes counted, January 20th = President Trump.
The elites thought that it was not an issue that Hillary was going to win, they did not make a contingency plan for a Trump victory. Why would they? They are arrogant, self assured cheaters who put every vile trick into place to steal this election, there was no way that a bunch of bumpkins clinging to their religion and their guns was going to legitimately out vote the Soros machine.
Until we did 😊.
Remember the Madam President magazine, remember the fireworks. Remember that the Clinton Foundation donations have dried up. Remember Chelsea giddy with joy that Justice Scalia was dead and now her mom could snatch our guns. How long have they been coming for our muskets?
Even Soros is not ready for the chaos and anarchy an outright coup would bring to the USA. The elite wannabe dictators do not want to be dragged out of their beds. They want to rule over sheep not battle wolves.
More than anything else I fear for Trump’s safety. May God blind his enemies, may their plans fall short, may they be destroyed and snared in their own traps. May each person who plans to do Trump physical harm be swallowed by the earth.

Why do I see Bill and Hillary feeding puppies and kittens to Chelsea, waiting for an appointment with The Dark One (no, Satan, not JJ…..OK, JJ’s the one on the left) to get help priming her for a run at the white House?
I just realy don’t know how brain-bent they are. I do hear that Rat lawyers in the NE Rat corridor and the Left Coast will donate a lsrge portion of their late December secular wintet solstice celebration to mopping up the tears thry’re still shedding and are bent on recovering Congress in 2018.
If Obama wants to trash the evil blue-eyed devil’s system as he and his minions are cast back to hell…OK, South Side Chicago, not getting into a beef with hell’s PR firm again…they could take this to the SCotUS. That would create a barrel of problems, give them payback for 2000, and create a Constitutionsl crisis. I’m sure Hillary still has her penciled list of appointees, probably saving that for her ‘almost presidential library’, and could make it appear faster than the Whitewater documents.
Think of Obama and Soros’ demonic glee at the possibilities of 1 minute after noon on January 20th with no president, a president ready to be removed by Court order or the Bride of Chucky waddling up the steps with a SS agent under each arm, ready to take the oath.

growing up as a kid in rural East Texas, we had a neighbor who was a RR engineer and a man’s man, lovely wife…was gone a lot with the RR, but Fixed Stuff for folks. He came over and moved our yard when mom and dad were sick, never said a word, just did it…would have been embarrassed to be thanked, altho my mother was embarassed to receive his gift….I always thought that the man did it because of who he WAS and what made HIM happy….my mom spent too much time, maybe, trying to make everything equal and reciprocate instead of allowing him the reward of his good deed for himself.
Not that this has anything to do with anyone clearing off snow or anything, but the posts triggered a childhood memory of growing up.
Today, I would be tickled if my own kids came and mowed my grass…but there isn’t an “APP” for “mow de daddy grass”….

Sometimes the kindest thing you can do is accept someone’s act of generosity. I used to drive Seniors to medical appointments,, One trip we stopped for ice cream and the lady insisted on buying me a cone. This lady wanted to treat me, it made her feel really happy. I still think about that cone.

That is so true. It was a lesson I had to learn a long time ago. Right now I have a friend who is better off than I am. She is not rich, but is very comfortable. One of her greatest joys is to be able to give to others, sometimes large gifts. I have to remind myself sometimes just to accept thankfully and joyfully. Because that is what she likes in return, to see others happy with their gift.

That’s why I brought that yard tractor, farm tractors are nice but do more damage than good. Clear of couple of lanes, then ride down to Hotties restaurant and clear the parking lot. It’s a good feeling, and I’m trying to erase some of those black marks in the “book”.

I imagine there are fewer black marks left in that “book” than you are aware of.

By the way folks who are on GAB unless you want an unpleasant surprise to pop up in your time line I suggest that you go to muted words and put in #NSFW and #GabPorn.
Not sure how Gab thinks they are going to entice Trump to a site that allows unfiltered porn or what kind of legal trouble they might get themselves into since it is not an 18 and over site (I assume that is a requirement for porn sites) but I wish they had a blocked off section for it.

A whole stadium full of Alt-Right, all down with nationalism.
All saluting the Flag of the USA, as if it were a person. According to the USFC, it is.
Savage was right more than a decade ago. A nation only exists when three factors all exist at once, homogenously: borders, language, and culture. If you’re missing even one of these homogeneities, you don’t have a nation. All you have is a place, and even then, you don’t even possess it — it’s up for grabs. Like putting your laptop case down at the subway station. It’s not in your hands? It’s anyone’s for the taking.

I got emotional about it, too. It’s amazing to witness so much patriotism and love of our country. It’s one of those moments that makes you remember there are many other Americans out there that understand how blessed we are to live here and how much we want to protect our home. Your comments were really touching, Wooly. I believe the good Lord is giving us a great opportunity to save our nation. Many good people have lifted our country and Donald Trump up in prayer and blessedly God answered us with a chance to correct course. We have so much to be thankful for this Christmas.

Meh…how technical do ya wanna get? Putin had held Rookie presidency for two terms and was barred for holding it for a consecutive third. Medvedev was his stand-in meat puppet, Med becomes president and Putin moves down the hall to Prime Minister. They basically swapped places as Med was PM under Putin.
I’m sure Obama knew he was talking to Putin when he said that, he’d have donebit face-to-face but it would have been unseemly to not play the game.

Well yeah, but since it’s a video of Obama whispering to Medvedev, it’s kind of important.

Not saying it isn’t, saying that it’s Putin who the remark was directed to. Personally I’d love to have a politically bleached Putin as POTUS, to me he’s a national pol that makes my heart go pittu-pat. So he’s greedy, he’s a politician.
Putin and the intel system he surfs have risen from the USSR ashes to a better state than they were in pre-89 and they both trounced Obama.

When I hear that, ignoring the potential snarky/sleazy answer, I wonder if that reply wasn’t more about allowing Putin to have more leeway in reestablishing his influence in his Near Abroad.
Barry did want those ‘centers of power’ and Putin would be his pick for one of them. Problem was that Putin, a pro national/international pol, saw Obama as a feckless lightweight and ran right over him. Someday Vlad will pen his autobiography and we’ll hear how he really feels about thevBoy Wonder. Putin’s national advances under Barry far exceed those under Bush and Clinton.

Russia under Putin was resurgent and Obama was wrapped Christmas present for both. Obama allowed, bay, encouraged, Putin and Russia to rearm and regroup to be a center of stability and Russia – true to its history – went back to its imperialist roots.
We agree with the Russian people regarding ‘how could we elect that piece of work’ but tomthe Russian government he was a gift from heaven.

Ok, as most here have lost friends and even family over this election cycle, I decided yesterday to e-mail an old good friend that ditched me once he found out I was Pro Trump. Now, he is an older gentleman, 65, from Ireland originally and now lives in Canada. We spent 2 years in a school of ministry here in town, and became really close.
Last night came across Scott Adams blog, on differing perspectives. Good read.
http://blog.dilbert.com/post/154289405111/the-time-that-reality-forked-right-in-front-of-you
This morning received a reply from him that he had, “never in his 65 years of living had he experienced such a letter full of hate!!!?
Now, in my e-mail, I explained why I was for Trump, the wall in particular. I used several of my life experiences and observations, and those that affected my kids.
My concerns as a father, (he is childless) my concerns with laws enforced for some but not others, and 2 life threatening instances that nearly took the life of my 2 of my children. One an illegal and another a Muslim.
Also, a good friend of my daughters was randomly stabbed and killed in a night club that my daughter and beau frequent, by an illegal. Absolutely no media coverage. It was in San Francisco about 8 months ago.
Must say, I was not expecting his reaction. Maybe this Scott guy has it pegged. There is a vast difference of views, supported by where you take in your information. There are two sides so foreign to each other, and the intolerance is growing, on both sides.
I do feel that war is inevitable, and sooner than I hoped for.

The country has been divided almost from the beginning. Before the civil war, states threatened secession every election cycle and it was commonly believed secession was allowed. Vermont was the first state to secede over the war of 1812.
