I know this is just for giggles, but we all know that a pistol would never be left sitting on a table unattended. That and it should never be pointed at anything,,, On a serious note, Dh wants me to carry around here if I go out at night, well in the car. I took the class, I am totally legal, but still it makes me nervous.

Which makes you more nervous, not carrying or carrying? Not making fun of you, I feel the same way. It would probably be good to do what some people here say all the time, we need to spend time at the gun range.

funny thing….when I have the pistol on my person, I tend to be much more cautiously AWARE of what is going on around me….maybe it makes me nervous, but more likely it makes me pay attention better….I carry a revolver so nothing is chambered and hammer is sitting on empty cylinder….my theory is not how many rounds I have, but what I do with just a few of them and how fast I had to do it. I have larger weapon in the car when out and about, but on my person it is merely a S&W 38 police chief’s special….easy peesy….if the battle gets better than that….I just plan on running…..

I don’t like carrying, I don’t like shooting, I don’t like the noise. There is a pretty decent indoor range here in Myrtle Beach… we should go, I know it. BTW in SC if you have any interaction with LE you have to present your carry permit… With my memory I am worried about just forgetting it… I should paper clip it to my driver’s license…

I especially don’t like the idea of actually putting a gun in my purse. It will stay in the glove box, if I feel compelled to take it at all.

It has become so second nature that I’ll forget Imeven have one on me. It’s a tool like a hammer or chisel, the press gives it that certain mystical forbidden quality.
You can leave a pistol unattended on a table, it ain’t gonna jump, off and attack the cat. Mine’s on the table, downside the chair, st certain times best left unsaid can also be found on the bathroom sink. Hasn’t independently gone bananas and shot the cat yet.
You don’t leave the gun out on the table when the grandkids are around, then again neither do you leave the great meat cleavers, steak scimitars or chainsaws out, no diff. It’s a tool, treat it as such, you don’t start getting into trouble until you overthink it.

The liberals are truly going nuts, and it’s beautiful. They recently resurrected Nancy Pelosi for another glorious term winnowing away the House Democrat caucus. Pretty soon it’s just going to be her and some guy representing Berkeley who they recruited while he was shouting “Workers of the world unite!” at bored coeds on Telegraph Avenue. You know, if you want to reach out to the kind of hard-working, salt-of-the-earth, normal Americans who voted for the black guy then allegedly refused to vote for the woman because they are racist, you totally want an ancient, rich, snooty, San Francisco leftist and Botox after-picture like the Nanster.

Mr.Smith better get his facts straight. The hospital in question is a Veterans State hospital, run by the TAG, Department of Military Affairs, Oklahoma. Not a VA hospital. The VA hospital located in state of Washington where a dentist may have infect 500-600 veterans with possible HIV or hepatitis C by using his own equipment without properly cleaning his equipment between exams.
Thanks Impeach, I did call Oklahoma Governor’s office today, no statement, still investigating this incident. Also said the resignation of the 4’employees was not enough, should have their medical licenses revoked. Oh they will get back to me…..I’m waiting and I’m right here.

I’d love to be able to blame this on the POtuS but this has been going on for the 50-plus years I’ve worked the VA. The VA has become a huge rolling bureaucratic death machine that exists solely to line the pockets of VA bureaucrats. I do not see Trump being able to drain that swamp even if that was the only task he had, the Vets are going to have to go back and be proactive as they did in the late 60s/early 70s. Occupy and disrupt VA hospitals and clinics, demanding respect and 1st world treatment from those paid to do so.
Obama is stymied by the system, he can’t just go in and start kicking ass, he has to navigate the labyrinth Congress has created in the VA and all of civil service. Neither he nor Congress could stop the VA bruhs from shielding their buds who were complicit in the deaths of the vets at the Arizona VA hospital, it’s just how things are done. Gotta fix the System before you can fix the system.

Czar, see your point. The WW2 Vets ran the VA, now it’s as you have said. The only option is to seek off the medical facilities. Now the Service Organization Chiefs (VFW, AM Legion, etc) might get P.O. And they can be dealt with. Issue a Veterans Health card to all Veterans. Yearly cap for medical prescription, doctor visits, tests, etc. $3000. Now for major medical, cancer treatments and surgeries unlimited……and this system must be protected from the scammers and frauds….your thoughts?

As I said, 40 plus years of enemies of my country, on and of, trying to kill me the irony of a branch of our government trying to kill me, a service chartered to serve and protect me, is not lost.

Hi everybody! The Trump “Thank You” tour continues tonight in Fayetteville, NC. There will be two additional rallies this week, one in Des Moines, IA on Thursday, and one on Friday in Grand Rapids, MI.

Only 19 days until Christmas – how does it always sneak up on me like that? So much to do – and Christmas won’t wait for me to be ready!

Weather is overcast and gloomy here today. Rain is on the way. I see that we will get some snow on Sunday and Monday next. Since the temps will be in the 30’s, I imagine it will be wet and heavy.

Christmas is coming, the geese are getting fat

Late last week we had another shooting, so far attributed to road rage, of a local black ex-NFL player. This one was by a white shooter.
Local BLM folks immediately lit up like a Christmas tree, disparaging the parish sheriff for not immediately arresting the white shooter, especially after a ‘witness’ (guess whooooooo?) said the white shooter exited his car, shot the black victim through his car’s windshield and shot the vic again, on the ground, after he fell out of his car. ‘Witness’ says shooter said that he did it as he voted for Trump. This fired up the BLM folks who immediately went on the warpath demanding an immediate arrest and plans for a lynching be put on the table. The sheriff’s not arresting the shooter immedistely was taken as a racist act…blah blah blah.
Sheriff just gave press interview explaining to the mouthbreathers that he didn’t have PCto make an arrest as it wasn’t clear the shooter wasn’t protecting himself and witness testimonies widely varied. After the forensic investigation was completed and witnesses located the shooter was arrested, he had a house and other assets so he wan’t going anywhere. BTW, ‘witness’ who was all over the news about the vic being shot thru the windshield, while on the ground and the shooter making his Trump statements…all proved to be lies.
Some black politicians backed the sheriff’s actions and, during his press conference, he read the emails and blog notes, complete with racist epithets and vulgarities, that those who disagreed with the pol supporters’ actions sent.
This sheriff’s on par with Shetiff Joe Clarke, if/when the press conference hits Youtube I’ll post the link.

Sheriff didn’t only touch the third rail, he bloody jumped up and down on it. He clearly articulated that black residents composed roughly 12% of the population while accounting for 78% of the murders and 80% of the shootings. Within 15 minutes of the end of his press conference held a news conference and demanded revenge…errrr, ‘justice’…but didn’t address the parish’s shooting statistics.
Ministers also demanded the shooter stay in jail so thst he wouldn’t have the chance to commit this crime again before the lynching…errrr, trial. Never mind that Constitutional thang ’bout bail…and they didn’t mention why they aren’t against those black thugs being endlessly released after acviolent crime only to go out and commit more violent crimes while on bail or ROR.

In NOLA houses built on slabs tend to sink as the compost that passes as soil shrinks. Many houses have to be ‘leveled’, a process that involves workers hand-tunneling under your slab and using hydraulic jacks to push pilings into the soil untol the piling’s surface friction stops the sinking and raises the slab to horizontal.
We had ours done in the early 90s and though the company was locally owned all the workers were Latino. We asked the company guy why they had all Latinos and he said that while they payed prevailing wages for the workers Latinos were almost the sole applicants, when hired they gave a buck- twenty-five’s worth of work for a dollar and never were late or missed a day. Truely, they were supposed to start at our house at 8 AM but they were outside sitting in their cars NLT 7:30.
Fast forward to Katrina. Contractors were paying upwards of $30 an hour to folks who’d nail blue tarps on roofs. Again the overwhelming majority of those doing it were Latino though a few of my foljs who’d been left behind by their Federal agencies did it too. Latinos were modtly the only ones who wanted to go up in that heat and secure tarps, even for $30 an hour.

Locals didn’t really want the jobs, too much work for not enough pay. ‘Mexicans’ would be there before the store opened and practically had to be pushed out st the end of their shifts. Most US workers were students and had about as many excuses why they were late, had to leave earlynor couldn’t come in as they did requests for raises.

I really really like this site and folks here…..I am loyal to the wonderful site next door…but right now I am SO tired of ALL the discussions and opinions it makes my head hurt…and nothing is particularly interesting about folks lives or funny stuff right now over there while the concerns and suggestions go on and on and on….maybe will change when we get to Jan 21 or when cable TV goes off the air for a long while along with NYT ceasing to publish anything at all. hope hope hope.
anyway, thanks for letting me roost here awhile…will try not to soil the floor of the hen house too much…..

I think you will find this interesting. James O’Keefe lays out what Project Veritas has been doing. Great video. 🙂
“James O’Keefe: The Mainstream Media Is Dead. We Won.
Project Veritas President recounts his fight against the Clinton machine and her media enablers.”

Well………isn’t this just really special. The asshats at Youtube, FB, Microsoft and Tweeter are joining together to tell US what’s evil and extremist content on teh WWW’s. I’m sure this will end well. They’re like the crazy family that moves in next door and ruins everything about your neighborhood, and they want to make sure you’re fully aware. On a daily basis. Scroo ’em. 👿 😈

Ohhhh yeeeaaahhhh, these are the same wipes who for years resisted taking down jihadi sites, beheading videos, extremist dogma sites and various other venues bent on destruction. Amazing how socially responsible they become when a gun’s held to their heads.

I don’t know if this will work or not as the person has their picture set up oddly (for me to copy) but this is genius. I hope it comes through.
