Seems there are raging brush fires in Israel and videos of what are most likely Islamics setting them. I remember back in early 2002 we had internal bulletins circulating talking about how Islamic terrorists (pre-Obama days) could raisevnibe kibds of hell here setting fires in dry areas. Just sayin’…

Today is the day. Either Hillary of Jill has to fork over 3.3 million dollars to WI if they want the recount to start on Thursday. My understanding is that the legal presentation is for a recount when in actuality they want to do a recount and an audit. Last I heard Jill is headed to court because she still wants to dictate the way the votes are counted for every county.

Trump’s in office and the recount issue reaches the SCotUS…it’s 4/4, split twixt left and right. Can Trump nominate a Justice without getting into ‘conflict of interest’ problems, another court case? Will Obama/Ayers activists take violent protest to the streets?

Late yesterday, some Dem strategists and spokesmen came out criticizing this effort and attempting to distance Clinton from this mess:

      http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-11-28/angry-dems-dismiss-steins-recount-effort-its-waste-time-and-money

Then some Green Party bigwigs signed an open letter which states in part: “we do not support the current recount being undertaken by Jill Stein.”

      http://www.flowersforsenate.org/greens_speak_out_recount

This whole thing has been bizarre. I just saw that Stein tweeted at 8:45 this morning:

“Yesterday, we found out Wisconsin will charge us $3.5M, an outrageous increase from the initial estimate of $1.1M…”

Is this just grinching or a possible sign of retreat? When her people filed a lawsuit in PA yesterday, and a lawsuit in WI, apart from the initial recount petition efforts, it seemed to indicate that she was willing to spend those $$ she had collected.

Petraeus is visiting with Trump again today. Remember that Petraeus has been convicted of a federal crime.

I smell the ultimate troll movement to date coming from Trump.

If Trump appoints Petraeus to a federal position, federal law prohibits Petraeus from holding that position due to his conviction, which means that Trump would have to pardon Petraeus once he becomes POTUS.

Imagine the MSM meltdown. How much can the MSM bellyache about a Petraeus pardon when all Trump will do is say “Comey pre-emptively pardoned Hillary Clinton for doing a million times worse than Petraeus, if you have a problem with Petraeus you should have had a far greater problem with Hillary. Petraeus admitted his wrong doing, paid his dues and can be if great use to our country.”

        Hard story to read.

I hesitate to even offer an opinion but 3 things stand out to me, most people never believe that their loved one committed suicide if there is any possibility of escaping that thought, most suicides don’t leave notes, that Ted left such a heart wrenching letter behind shows a man trapped in corner who saw no way out, a typical place where sducidal people find themselves.

People always romanticize people who commit suicide. I have no doubt that Ted was everything his wife and friends remember him to be and from is words and profession it sounds like he was rather brilliant and insightful.

If there had been as dark of secrets that Ted was aware of I would guess that he would have sent proof of it to someone. But that is just my opinion from reading one brief article and with a suicidal mind, all bets are off on their normal character winning out over the darkness.

That said Ted did not seem like the type of guy to end his life and let it be for nothing. I’m sure bad things were happening, I’m sure his mind was not right since he believed his children and his wife would have a better life if he was dead. How much of that was in his own words “I trust no Iraqi” a realization that we were not there for the reasons he thought we were there and we were likely training people who would one day try and kill us, I don’t know.

How is Petraeus tied into the entire thing? Again, I’m not going to offer an opinion because I have none.

I find it interesting and unsettling that not only did Westhusing serve under Petreaus, his suicide note was addressed to him:
“In Iraq, Westhusing worked under two generals: Maj. Gen. Joseph Fil, and Petraeus, then a lieutenant general. But Bryce continued: “By late May, Westhusing was becoming despondent over what he was seeing.” When his body was found, a note was found nearby addressed to Petraeus and Fil.”

          • lovely says:

I agree it is disturbing but what it means I don’t know. A Suicidal mind is not a rational mind, if, Westhusing witnessed atrocities outside the normal wretchedness of war a clear minded Westhusing would have left some documentation of that that he knew would get to the right places.

The exposure of Gitmo happened a little over a year before Westhusing’s suicide so he knew what media exposure would do, again if he was in his rational mind.

For me the last line of Westhusings goodbye is as important as who addressed it to (and who he didn’t address it to is alas an insight, but that is another discussion).

You are not what you think you are and I know it.

            What does that mean?

It sounds to me again that Westhusing was exceptionally bright and insightful, it sounds to me that he realized that we were arming our enemies, “I trust no Iraqi” and that he had insight and he believed empirical knowledge I cannot support a msn that leads to corruption, human right abuses and liars. I am sullied—no more. I didn’t volunteer to support corrupt, money grubbing contractors, nor work for commanders only interested in themselves. of egregious actions, crimes agains humanity, commanders putting career before the rank and file, war profiteers.

I simply have no way of knowing what was true and what was an exaggeration in Westhusing’s mind because he came into a war as a philosophy teacher who may have believed war and the absurdity of war could some how be made clean through philosophy. The walls of academia rarely produce rational thinkers, thinkers whose world view carries them well in real life situations, my guess is that he idealized his mission but that is pure speculation.

I’m not defending anyone or their actions I just don’t have the facts.

*Just did a quick check and Westhusing was exceptionally bright, he was selected as honor guard and he graduated 3rd in his class at West Point. Thanks for bringing this story to my attention I’m going to delve into it some, depressing as it is.

After the city of New Orleans was once again embarrassed by the wekend shooting in tne French Quarter the mayor and Chief of Police have announced sweeping changes to make it safer. Unanswered is the question of why they didn’t make these changes earlier as they are delf-proclaimed experts in the field, this is a decades-old problem and they’re paid to be prosctive in these sreas.
Of note is their plan to inconvenience everyone equally, implementing a sealed 6-7 block area of Bourbon street, controlling access thru entry points, having metal detectors and forbidding guns inside the safe zone…Beale Street south.
Obe suggestion not tendered is calling it like it is…stop all males under 21 being on the street unless accompanied by a parent. If a person’s caught falsely posing as a parent said faker gets a large fine AND jail time. Bars on Bourbon should get a huge fine every time they are caught not carding drinkers…the entire Quarter’s infamous for catering to underage drinkers. This ain’t ever gonna happen though.
Most controversial is the suggestion to use crime analysis techniques to find the profile of the most frequent shooter in the Quarter and Terry-stop everyone of those inside the Quarter to search for weapons. That ain’t gonna happen either and you know why.
So right now the TSA model, irriate the hell out of everyone just to be PC, is the most likely scenario. Never can tell when that 65 year old nun just out sightseeing might be packing heat; who knows, she might even enjoy an impromptu patdown.

Funny story. I was once doing some work in a school building and I thought that I was alone so I brought my iPhone an iPhone station and was listening to Fun, the music was loud, I went to do something and I saw an open door so I went to see why it was open and there was someone else working.

I was like, “I’m so sorry! I thought I was alone. I’ll turn my music down.”

She responded “Oh , it’s ok have your fun.”

This is when they were relatively new and I said “You’re a Fun fan?”

She looked confused and then I realized she literally meant “have fun.” I told her it was the name of the band I was listening to and we both had a good laugh.
