Thank you Mary, and the same to you. Today is the opening day of buck season ( day break ) in PA. Unofficial state holiday, and one must be very careful around large wooded areas.
Going to round up the boys and girls in a bit. Throw a couple tons of ear corn down by the feeding pens. That will keep them busy for a day or so.

Sounds like you want to keep those cows, horses and goats close to the barn so that those Rexall Ranger city hunters don’t mistake them for whitetails. Or, like me, you just wanna sit on the porch and bag one as it eats at the ‘Official Farm Livestock Feed Trough’. At least that’s what the sign on mine says…

Czar, those “Rexall Ranger city hunters” are dangerous, very dangerous……. early ’80s my Uncle painted COW on both side of a cow. Cow was killed by the pond, had to be 200 meter shot, only large maples for shade around pond. After sun up, it’s like a firefight. I’ll wait an hour then patrol the property boundaries on the JD, ARMED………

We have a hospice about 15 minutes away, it is in beautiful wooded setting, during hunting season if people want to go for a walk or take their loved one out they have to wear a fluorescent orange hunting vest to go on the trails.

              Be safe wear a vest.

I saw stock killed in Utah, almost as if the shooters just wanted to shoot something. I’m betting that some jerk saw the lettering as a challenge and decided to extend the joke.
I go armed all the time outside, but during the hunting seasons I’m heavily armed. We get lots of hunters out here, city and not city folks and many believe that anything over five acres that doesn’t have a house on it’s public property.
Posted before that we’ve had armed hunters come waltzing right up our drive and thru our woods. We had our truck hit some years ago during squirrel season and one of the weekender groups that ‘didn’t know there was a house up here’ was shooting from the road and thru our trees in the direction of our house. Then there are those infrequent but still troubleling robberies/home invasions by…city actors…who drive out to the sticks to rob the hicks. All considered, especially with the extended 911 response times out here, people are inclined to shoot back.

That’s why I don’t let people hunt anymore. Way too many anymore who took up hunting as a weekend trip who shoot at anything that moves and can’t hit the broadside of a barn.
They hurt the true hunters who find fewer and fewer landowners willing to let them hunt.

In our neighborhood in PA we had one doe with a bum leg..She carried it bent and basically had to hobble about on the other three. She couldn’t keep up with the others, but every year managed to raise a little fawn, sometimes two. It was an unspoken rule in the neighborhood that she got a pass during hunting season, and she lived a long life..
Of course, I named her gimpy…. DH used to hunt on our property, his son would come up. I know he misses it a great deal.

My apologies for the disjointedness, there. That second paragraph is a response to a conversation in my head about Kanye West.

West was born on June 8, 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia.[6][7] His parents divorced when he was three and he and his mother moved to Chicago, Illinois.[8][9] His father, Ray West, is a former Black Panther and was one of the first black photojournalists at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Ray West was later a Christian counselor,[9] and in 2006, opened the Good Water Store and Café in Lexington Park, Maryland with startup capital from his son.[10][11]

West’s mother, Dr. Donda C. (Williams) West,[12][13] was a professor of English at Clark Atlanta University, and the Chair of the English Department at Chicago State University before retiring to serve as his manager. West was raised in a middle-class background, attending Polaris High School[14] in suburban Oak Lawn, Illinois after living in Chicago.[15] At the age of 10, West moved with his mother to Nanjing, China, where she was teaching at Nanjing University as part of an exchange program. According to his mother, West was the only foreigner in his class, but settled in well and quickly picked up the language, although he has since forgotten most of it.[16] When asked about his grades in high school, West replied, “I got A’s and B’s. And I’m not even frontin’.”[17]

West demonstrated an affinity for the arts at an early age; he began writing poetry when he was five years old.[18] His mother recalled that she first took notice of West’s passion for drawing and music when he was in the third grade.[19] Growing up in the city, West became deeply involved in its hip hop scene. He started rapping in the third grade and began making musical compositions in the seventh grade, eventually selling them to other artists.[20] At age thirteen, West wrote a rap song called “Green Eggs and Ham” and began to persuade his mother to pay $25 an hour for time in a recording studio. It was a small, crude basement studio where a microphone hung from the ceiling by a wire clothes hanger. Although this wasn’t what West’s mother wanted, she nonetheless supported him.[18] West crossed paths with producer/DJ No I.D., with whom he quickly formed a close friendship. No I.D. soon became West’s mentor, and it was from him that West learned how to sample and program beats after he received his first sampler at age 15.[21]

After graduating from high school, West received a scholarship to attend Chicago’s American Academy of Art in 1997 and began taking painting classes, but shortly after transferred to Chicago State University to study English. He soon realized that his busy class schedule was detrimental to his musical work, and at 20 he dropped out of college to pursue his musical dreams.[22] This action greatly displeased his mother, who was also a professor at the university. She later commented, “It was drummed into my head that college is the ticket to a good life… but some career goals don’t require college. For Kanye to make an album called College Dropout it was more about having the guts to embrace who you are, rather than following the path society has carved out for you.”[23]

He’s in mental hospitals right now. Probably being “treated” by celebrity “psychologists”. It was his so-called “personal trainer” that got him pink-slipped. He’s a mini-Obamalike puppet, who is just starting to realize real, and see the true true.

5 years ago, he was my immediate neighbor, the son of my landowners, and probably +2sd versus my IQ. and ran all the IT for the landfolken’s business, while mastering EVE Online.

He is giving up. Pray, please. He’s my age, has travelled the world, as IT on USN ships in the middle of the Pacific, and lived four times the life I have.

He wants to give up. I told the landlord that his son is smarter than that, and to tell him that.

Massive Squadron Of B-52s Scramble Into Action As Nuclear Threats Escalate

The B-52 Stratofortress is among the iconic bombers in the United States Air Force. For over 60 years this jet has answered the call to arms when a nuclear threat occurs. The B-52s at Minot Air Force Base are part of the Continuous Bomber Presence (CBP) and to fight fire with more fire.

These B-52s were recently dispatched to Osan Air Force Base in Guam where they flew 82 missions as opposed to the 30 missions early years of CBP. The Continous Bomber Presence served as a deterrent for North Korea’s nuclear testing as tensions rise in east Asia.

At Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota, a huge group of B-52Hs prepares for a new series of deterrent missions. Powerful and brooding, one after another they fly into the sky equipped with up to 26 nuclear-tipped cruise missiles. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many B-52s all at once, it’s an amazing sight to behold as they soar into action.

Egyptians managed to get one old creaky Russian bomber on the air and had it drop a pissant load. Lead 52 came in at high speed, belching plumes of black smoke, square down the center of the EAF’s runway at treetop, left a fog bank of black jet fuel exhaust mixed with sand and had dozens of Egyptian military just standing there with their mouthes hanging open. EAF SAM-2 site didn’t even pick him up coming in.

Alllllllllright folks, news is reporting that the Denver County, CO, sheriff’s department is caving to the US DoJ’s demands that the department’s requirement that deputies be US citizens be canned. The department will pay a $10-thousand fine, go back through all of its old job offerings to see if anyone who wasn’t a citizen was rejected for such and will post any future job openings in languages the potential applicants might prefer.
So not only will Denver County deputies not be required to be US citizens but, it appears, not have be functional in English either. That should make training, never mind encounters with the public, very interesting. Seems that not only do we have an activist, interventionist DoJ but Colorado has a state law that says members of LEO in the state do not have to be US citizens to serve. Hey, ISIS, do we have a job for you!
