CBS Pittsburgh:COLUMBUS, Ohio (KDKA/AP) — At least 8 people have reportedly been injured in a mass shooting at Ohio State University.
Columbus Fire Department officials tell CBS affiliate WBNS that 8 people have been transported to area hospitals.
Seven of those patients were reportedly stable, at least one of them critical.
Law enforcement say one suspect has been shot and is dead.
Police tell WBNS that the incident started around 9:30 a.m. this morning when a vehicle ran into the chemical engineering building.
A tweet went out alerting students of the situation.
The tweet says: “Buckeye Alert: Active Shooter on campus. Run Hide Fight. Watts Hall. 19th and College.” Watts Hall is a materials science and engineering building.
“Run, hide, fight” is standard protocol for active shooter situations. It means: Run, evacuate if possible; Hide, get silently out of view; or Fight, as a last resort, take action to disrupt or incapacitate the shooter if your life is in imminent danger.
The schools Twitter account told students to continue sheltering in place north of the campus.

The chem ed major is where all the, um, “foreign exchange” student usually are enrolled – common knowledge here.
Fire alarm was pulled in the Chem Ed bldg. Students ran outside, waiting vehicle mowed them down, then victims and bystanders were stabbed by “unknown subject or subjects.”
Sadly, you won’t hear this on this “news.”

COLUMBUS, Ohio (KDKA/AP) — Ohio State police say the attacker on campus purposely drove over a curb and into pedestrians and then got out of the vehicle and began stabbing people with a butcher knife.
An Ohio State spokesman says some students were stabbed, others injured after being hit by a vehicle. Other injuries are also being evaluated.
Hospital officials say eight patients they received from the scene of a reported attack at Ohio State University have non-life-threatening injuries.
The eight patients were split among OSU Wexner Medical Center, OhioHealth Grant Medical Center and OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Law enforcement says one suspect has been shot and is dead.

he had a kitchen butcher knife, clearly was planning to cut up turkey and ham for US Students as an act of kindess and the accellerator stuck on his car which ran over students and he was trying to render aid and forgot he had the knife in his hand when he stopped to touch them carefully to help them…..probably he was going to call for some help from the Mosque across the street where the last Muslim attacker hid a few months ago after stabbing a girl at a bus stop nearby…..
seriously, why would a Somali kid that went to live in Pakistan for awhile as a teenager, then applied for Refugee status to the USA and wound up in Dallas for a short while, home of a lot of CAIR financial aid folks, and then…he went to OHIO…a huge Muslim Somali group live there, to attend Ohio state for a nothing burger major, but next door to the Mosque…and he was DISTRAUGHT because the campus had NO SAFE place for him to do his five daily prayers at Ohio State. so he attacks the other students with a knife and his car…..just when they got back to campus from Thanksgiving….
Now, he is dead….sadly this is where it is all going to go if we do not stop them from coming in….we already are full of risk from those that are here already.

I have this one solved, Stella.
The gun pulled the fire alarm, ran outside, drove the car and ran over a group of students. The gun’s passenger in the car was a Somali who came to the U.S. in 2014. The Somali had legal status as a refugee and was a student at OSU.
All I need is survelliance footage of the gun pulling the fire alarm, and a cell phone video showing the gun driving the car. And to think I gave up video editing a few years ago. Oh well.

I think maybe he was mad about an insulting Video on Youtube that made fun of Middle Easterners….I think it was “Ali Baba and the Seven Jihadi Suicide Bombers”….a low budget Michael More release done in Bollywood. It had a shot of a muslim woman’s bare elbow when it touched a male stranger on the sidewalk, who was not a blood relative or her husband.

My favorite line of all, hypnotically full of so many truthy facts, and hypnotic passive voice leads the whole thing:
The violence unfolded just before 10 a.m. Monday near an academic hall on the Columbus, Ohio, campus, where 60,000 students are enrolled.
Imagine a bright origami star, named by itself “Violence”, gently floating its self to the ground at OSU, and gently unfolding itself.
No humans were involved in this violence. It just unfolded. According to the new press.
“Tyrone did violent thing.” vs. “Violence unfolded at 10:00 P.M. in a neighborhood that we have lots of facts about before the end of this segment.”
That’s the insidious passive voice. Where shootings just occur, violence erupts, and beatings take place, when it’s protected, “underserved” people doing them.
