Good morning Stella and you all,
As we go around at the family table later this afternoon and share our thankfullness, I may not bring up all of my imaginary friends here at this Place, lest my family finds me a bit more loony than already perceived.
But, I am truly thankful for each and everyone of you: your inputs, your individual personalities, your wisdom and charm, and your humor. it truly makes the day and this life more enjoyable and, heck, livable.

Thanks for puttin’ on the early pot. Here’s another for the regular early riser’s. Not real excited about wakin’ up at 5:30 this mornin’, but I went to bed at 9:30 last night, so I guess it’s like sleepin’ in. Coffee up. Happy Thanksgiving one and all. Only took an extra hour and a half to get across Texas yesterday.

Yes, they did, but the trip took them over 8 hours. They are staying in a hotel instead of here last night and tonight, then moving to Tom’s mother’s house for the rest of the weekend.

My younger grandson celebrates his 13th birthday tomorrow. My older grandson was born July 3. I have a nephew who was born Christmas Eve. That’s a bummer!

Home. All went well. People didn’t really talk politics (Hallelujah!). A couple of folks thought the world was ending but I refrained from spitting into the wind.

Funny thing is I had that for dinner yesterday..Bowl of soup and a couple slices of whole grain bread. I thought it was very special, since DH made the soup(oxtail) himself. Ironically oxtails are now pretty expensive…

Priced soup bones lately? Luckily I have an abattoir and custom butcher right closeish by and can get super cuts of beef and custom meats at chain grocery prices. Cold weather is soup/stew weather with Czarina doing the bakery end.
