It may say Tuesday on the calendar, but it’s Wednesday on the work week. Coffee up y’all. Let’s enjoy watchin’ a few more libtard cranial explosions today. Just remember, it’s ok to laugh at them, but don’t get caught gloating. That’s kinda like piling on. 😆 😆

That guy was certainly a source of entertainment. We’d try to warn him sometimes, but he never listened so most of the time we just sat back and laughed.
From what I can remember he got sprayed by a skunk that he thought was cute, we did warn him about cornering a skunk.
He was butted by a huge billy goat, again he was warned it would happen.
Bucked off a horse, he was sort of warned in at least he was told it wasn’t broke to ride.
Getting flogged by roosters and game hens we just sat back and laughed.

Now that is a landscape, Stella! I hope my backyard in heaven looks something like that.
Happy Tuesday, folks. Starting my day shift schedule today, thankfully. I need to get to sleep, but haven’t been able to adjust yet.

I worked third shift years ago. It took me six months to be able to sleep at night, and most of a year to completely readjust after I left. Hope you fare better.

I worked rotating shifts for years… Crazy schedule that, well, it’s best forgotten. I remember going to bed at about 8am with a bowl of cheerios and a glass of vermouth. You adapt, you just have to. We were a 24/7 organization, so we worked holidays. The nice thing is that some of my co workers are down here in SC, right in the neighborhood. We were at a cocktail party with them last night. Life long connections.

I did a year of isolated duty in the Coast Guard at a LORAN station on Tern Island in the French Frigate Shoals out at the end of the Hawaiian islands. It was a 24/7/365 facility, and we worked 8 hours every day except Friday, when it was 8 on, 8 off, 8 on for the shift change.
It was like being jet lagged for a year.

Pretty sure it was Navy. They selected the largest island, then pounded steel pilings around it to outline the size they needed and filled it with crushed coral. It’s a half mile long and a couple hundred yards wide. Looks like an aircraft carrier from the air, just a landing strip and a couple of buildings.
The landing strip is too short for any commercial aircraft; our transport for personnel, mail, and fresh food was a DC-3 flown by F.A.A. pilots. Watching them crab in one time in a stiff crosswind and straighten out at the last moment to set the wheels down was quite memorable.

Spaetzle. Spaetzle salves over any number of ills. Down and dirty recipe: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/11793/german-spaetzle-dumplings/
Changes: I use whole milk, you could probably use half-and-half though I can buy real milk locally and have not tried it. The parsley is really optional but the nutmeg ain’t. I also don’t boil them in water, I use seasoned chicken stock.
If you don’t have a spaetzle maker you can use a pasta machine and cut the strands with a knife. Wurst comes to wurst you can roll it out and cut it. It ain’t supposed to be beautiful, just tasty.
They float to the top when done, you gotta work at screwing them up. They microwave great, make super ‘mac and cheese’ and form the perfect compliment to gravy. I’ve even fried them up in buttebthe next day for a compliment to eggs.
Wanna go whole hog? Search Amazon for ‘spaetzla maker’. I prefer the slidy ones, just wipe it down with a bit of vegetable oil befeore you run the dough through it, makes the process less messy.

I heard Kellyanne Conway say that Trump doesn’t want to prosecute Hillary over the emails. I didn’t hear her say that he won’t appoint a special prosecutor even though that is what the MSM is saying she said. Maybe she did.
The reason given is that “Trump wants Clinton to heal.” 🤔
I believe this is a political head game with the press to just take one of their many arrows out of their quiver. Kellyanne saying that Trump doesn’t want to prosecute Clinton because of “feelings” is a howler in my opinion. A thumb in the eye of all the emotional crybabies.
Here is all I can find that she said;
“When the president tells you he doesn’t wish to pursue the charges, it sends a strong message,” Conway said in an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. “I think Hillary Clinton still has to face the fact that a majority of Americans don’t find her to be honest or trustworthy, but if Trump can help her heal, perhaps that’s a good thing.”
Anyhow. Does anyone really think that Jeff Sessions is not going to pursue the law and just let the treasonous Hillary Clinton “heal” after everything criminal that HRC has done to weaken our county, at the cost of human lives, simply to enrich herself?
IMO it is just one battle they don’t need to arbitrate in the media.
Tick tock tick tock, that is the sound of the happy clock, ticking down to a knock knock knock on Hillary’s darkened doorway.
Hillary doesn’t need to heal she needs to be brought heel.

OMG I am dying laughing here watching the news. It has been a hoot today. They are all up in arms about Trump saying he wouldn’t charge Hillary. The WH is soooooo indignant because they SAY they did everything in their power to keep a separation between the WH and the DOJ so Trump needs to do that too. LOLOLOLOL The WH spokesman actually said that with a straight face. And, they are accusing Trump of all kinds of things because he said he wouldn’t charge her. Now they are saying he is worried that he will be charged with the same things she is accused of. I have been laughing all day. 😀

About the only strongpoint the WH has id hypocrisy, looks like they’re going out on a high note. Wonder if the WH (read as the POtuS) really wanted to see Hillary (and perhaps Bill) investigate/indicted? That would suit the Obamas on multiple levels.

This is a twitter link my husband found while he was looking around for news about the NYT meeting today:
https://twitter.com/migold/lists/nyt-trump-meeting
Reporters at the meeting tweeted throughout. This link purportedly collected all their tweets. They had many quotes from PE Trump (unless they are brazen enough to outright lie when they say they are quoting him.)
If you want to look at it, go down the tweets to the 4-hour mark where Mike Grynbaum tweets “Good afternoon from the 16th floor….” which is the beginning of the meeting tweets. Reading the tweets of the whole meeting is very interesting, but there has been so much upset and blaming of Kellyanne Conway for her remarks this morning about “no prosecution of Clinton” that I focused in on what PE Trump said. I’m not on twitter anymore and don’t know how to copy in tweets, so I extracted the words from running tweets of reporters during the period of time they discussed Clinton:
Mike Grynbaum @4 hours: (Quotes Trump:) “I don’t want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t. She went through a lot and suffered greatly in many different ways.”
Maggie Haberman @4 hours: Trump says “no” when asked if he is taking investigations off the table for Clintons but adds he doesn’t want to “hurt the Clintons.”
Maggie Haberman @4 hours: Says he wants to move on and move forward. “I’m not looking to go back and go through this,” Trump says.
Mike Grynbaum @4 hours: Trump is pressed if he has definitively ruled out prosecuting Hillary Clinton. “It’s just not something that I feel very strongly about.”
Maggie Haberman @4 hours: Trump on disappointing his supporters re Clinton: “I don’t think they will be disappointed…” 1/2
Maggie Haberman @4 hours: 2/2 “I think I will explain it that we in many ways will save our country.”
Maggie Haberman @4 hours: “My inclination would be for whatever power I have on the matter is to say let’s go forward. This has been looked at for so long, ad nauseum”
Maggie Haberman @4 hours: That last tweet was Trump making clear he doesn’t favor prosecution. Added people could argue the Clinton Foundation has done “good work.”
Maggie Haberman @4 hours: “I think it would be very very divisive for the country,” Trump says about prosecuting the Clintons.

I then searched Google for about 15 minutes for the full transcript.
All I got were the filtered versions. Probably every fifth line.
It got me thinking, condensing stories was at one time a necessity, when we had half-hour Nightly News and limited newspaper print space, plus time and space for ads in those formats.
This stuck, even in the age where you can completely circumvent television and print entirely.
And, to one who doesn’t understand, it makes no sense. Give me the transcript! They have it, and they still filter it, and would, if asked, say that they’re just condensing it for their stupid, time-pressed, low-attention-span audience. But even when asked, won’t give us the full speech.

I think it may be called ‘censoring’, control the message and you control the perception.

Local news station had a small filler piece on a Barbarossa pig at the zoo that had piglets (they don’t like to carry positive Trump stuff…). They said that the Indonesian pig was endangered as “sportsmen illegally hunt them”. I immediately called the station’s news room and told them that, by definition, ‘sportsmen’ do not illegally hunt game, POACHERS do. I posited that the reporter who wrote that and the staff upstream who reviewed it had, at some point in their educations, taken a course that featured etymology or at leadt handled a dictionary. Poacher is the word for someobe who hunts game illegally and sportsman is the antitheses. Dead silence…

I was just surprised that theu didn.’t get the ironynof a pig in Indonesia being ‘endangered’, but at least they didn’t attribute it to gunnnnnnn violennnnnnncccceeeeee. BTW, in the line of gun violence a New Orleans 9th Ward ‘social aid and pleasure club’ – local code words for ‘black’ – held a second-line parade to condemn deaths thru gun violence. If they were interested on truth they’d have a parade to condemn deaths thru the uncivilized behaviors of their young, black male thugseses. On the ‘good news’ side nobebofbthose young black males thugseses shot up the parade, as all too frequently happens.

Ermuhgerd!! I know a bunch of ya’z don’t care much for Lyin’ Ted, but this is pretty good. All the talk today was about how Ellen couldn’t get into Bronco Bama’s White Hut without her ID. 😆
