Yep, we had to build a fire tonight. I know it’s almost Thanksgiving, but after wearing shorts yesterday I just wasn’t quite ready to need a fire tonight. Supposed to be a hard freeze tonight or today I guess now. lol

The waves are going over both piers right now in SH. You could surf UP the river right now. There are literal breakers going up the river, and the harbor is about two and a half feet higher than usual, the water is almost level with the docks and slips.
It looks like a washing machine out there. There were kiteboarders out there, insane lunatics that they are, and they called it quits, because it’s too rough even for them.
Peak wind will be at about 3:00 PM. Yesterday I was in shorts and a tee shirt.
This morning I dug out the winter gear.

That’s funny. When we got our drivers licenses we used to cruise both beaches, cranking the Beach Boys. Sloop John B is still one of my favorites.

On my second tour, our Cav BC was a spitting image of Duval. Never did any beaches, except Vung Tau………we rotated beach guards due to sharks, and no swimming at night!

I don’t think there’s any snow or ice in the forecast, but then I pay little attention to the weather forecast.
Persimmons are ripe and I’ve been eating a bunch of them and saved some seeds. I’ll have to cut into them and see what kind of winter they forecast. lol

It has been up and down here. We had a hard freeze a week or so ago. It was 70 here yesterday, but today’s high is 42 (which is right now).

Two days ago it was 81 in N Texas, currently it’s high 30’s. I was running around town in shorts and flip flops all week, even yesterday as the cold front was coming in, brrrr. I woke up freezing at 4 am and had to put the heat on. It’s definitely hot tea and cocoa time for me! ☕️ Morning all! Very cute picture, Stella!

Oklahoma has been this way all of my life. It is the honest truth that if you don’t like the weather wait around, sometimes just a few hours and it will change. lol

Here we 12 of next 15 days with a forecast of rain in varying degrees, right now and throughout early morning, coming down good. And cold as well. Ski season will actually open early here on Mt. Shasta.

Yep, some years are mild and other years are worse. Nothing though like many in the country. We don’t get that many snowfalls and when we do the stores’ milk and bread shelves are bare.

Other than the coldest months here, I actually prefer to live where we have seasons. Certainly prefer it to giant cockroaches, hurricanes, and sink holes.

We got about 4″ overnight. Went to bed without a speck of white anywhere. Woke up to a winter wonderland. Thermometer dropped from 20 to 5. Finally! I was beginning to wonder if Alaska had slipped into the Twilight Zone. It’s rare to have a Halloween that isn’t white, but a Thanksgiving that isn’t would be unheard of.

I had an interesting idea tonight. Is there any laws or bylaws that would prevent both the Republican and Democrat parties from nominating the same individual for President? With the Dem’s power structure collapsing, they are going to have to find new blood to revitalize the party, and find some new rising stars. Everyone is too old. Could Trump find a way to get himself nominated from both parties, and just pee in everyone’s Wheaties?

Not an expert, at the local, state level you can cross file your petition for the elected office you seek. The only individual who did this was John Murtha (D) Johnstown, Pa. if I remember correctly, happened in the mid 80s. Everyone thought very highly of Big John, before he went over the side with that incident in Iraq involving Marines.

You know, with all the flak Scott Adams took during this run, I bought his book to show support. It is quite good, a different slant on the self help/how to succeed slew of tomes. He is real, and gives a very honest system that he has found to be helpful.
Good read if you ever have time.
BTW, in reading, he has done quite well, and as with Trump, will easily survive the stones being tossed his way.

I’m on there. I really enjoy it. It really is censorship free. If it is illegal you can not post it. Right now it is 97% Trump/Right wingers.
If someone acts like an ass there is the mute button so if you are offended by something you mute it and go about your day.

BTW, my cousin, whom is same age as myself, and whom we have always stood firmly side by side through the years through all of life’s upheavels and family turmoil, has ‘unfriended” me based on my political viewpoint.
She has been living in SF the past 30 years, and pre-election, commented I was only second person she had heard voting for Trump. That’s when she still talked to me since he would NEVER be elected.
Now sadly, she is as most all of the left, “Can’t even talk about it”. No discussion of issues at all.
I am going to miss her.

It is so frustrating though. 8 years of crap being force fed and we took it, we endured.
Now, anger, riots and name calling. It reveals to me how divide this nation truly is, when family who LOVE each other dearly, are so readily able to totally rebuke one another.
I posted some concern here last weekend on upcoming Dec. 19th. And from what is continuing these past few days, I can envision a major upheaval if not outright war soon.
Again, hope I am wrong and just over analyzing.

I understand, and have seen that only a couple of “protest” type votes cast throughout the years.
Still the GOP, is from what I’ve seen and read, truly behind the President Elect. So the longtime party people worry me. Lyin’ Ryan, Cruz, Haley, McConnell, Kasich, list goes on.
But I will take comfort in the knowledge you and many others have, I’m a relative newbie on this scene. Thank you. Love all of the sharing of wisdom here and next door.

Someone I have been friends with for years was texting with me. I know she hates Trump so we don’t talk politics. Then out of the blue she said “Trump is evil.” I sent her the “In a world of Kardashians be an Ivanka.” I think our friendship is over.
It is sad but life is too short to give up my freedom of expression and rational conversation to constantly appease the Stepford Americans. I am done with appeasement and silence it has already cost me some friends, it may cost me some family members. It is to me very sad.
I choose freedom over tyranny of the Left and death at the hands of Islam.
There are those who think that is an extreme statement for many there is no hope of arguing them out of the chicanery of their own minds. Our society has made a dangerous delusional belief system into reality by consensus . Anomalous delusion is no longer, except for the truly visibly psychotic, (people who fancy themselves carrots and the like) as delusional thinking has gone main street America.
There is going to be a lot of soul searching, heartache and come to Jesus moments in the following weeks. We didn’t choose it, but we are called to respond.

If it was dangerous or debilitating the person was considered psychotic, if it was just simply different thinking it was considered charmingly eccentric. Now it seems we have a consensus of delusional thinking among at least 40 % of Americans.

That is a much shortened version. (Short hand ending her son is now 6 relatively well adjusted and living in another state with his grandfather) She was in a lockdown ward the last time I talked to her and still blaming me for stealing her son.
The never Trumpers are no different but less deserving of our compassion.

I’m beginning to believe we are all delusional in varying degrees. I know I am. And right now, with all of that which is flying hither and yon, I’m having a harder time discerning REAL reality. And this morning actually (weird, but that seems to be my favorite word this morning) was questioning if I am the one who’s deluded.
The PTB are definitely doing a good job of obfuscation. I could use a little Eph. 6 right about now.

My ol’ high school sweetheart who lives up Nyet’s way in Vancouver WA, is attending a huge AirBnB convention in LA this week. Has people and speakers there to divulge ways and strategy for that business, and other avenues on being an entrepreneur.
Sent me a pic last night of two such speakers on stage, one of which is none other than ERIC HOLDER!!!.
Don’t know if she did on purpose to trigger me, she could not vote for either “major” candidate and went off grid with her vote.
Well, trigger she did, and my comment to her was along the lines of, “Be nice if the guy on stage you all are fawning over, would actually release the secrets to a truly lucrative business, such as gun running, heroin trade, and destruction of a nation while inciting riots, that’d be grand.”
Another who will probably never speak to me again. Her, not going to miss so much.

Funny thing, yesterday the mailman (or in this case mailwoman) came by just as I was pulling in, so I stopped at box to grab my stuff, as my son had said above tee shirts were coming on that day. Not my regular guy, was a rotator.
Well, address was smudged on package, and for a reason I can only my son’s attempt at humor, he used only my first and middle names, no last.
Got out to grab mail and she said, ‘All that is here is this 1 piece of junk mail”. It was at this time that I realized she was really a he, or he was a she. At least as far as I could determine.
But as I looked inside and on his/her lap was my package, and she/he was trying to figure out where to put it.
I said that’s for me, and he/she replied she asked already if “Derek W” lived there and was told no.
She/he looked at me like how can I trust you? Replied, “Well, if you want to open that package you’ll find some Donald Trump tees, and no, I’m not David Copperfield.”
He/she/? handed me my package and left.

I keep seeing that scene of Trump and Melania walking in the White House with members of Congress. I just noticed that they were walking along and he got a little ahead of Melania, but he was aware of it and turned and motioned for her to catch up, then I noticed his left hand reaching back a little, like searching for her hand until he found it. It was a very touching moment, I thought. (Probably because my ex didn’t seem to realize I had hands.)

Did notice the hand thing, but what stood out was when Pence realized he was sort of lolly gagging behind, he did the ‘swoop” move on right on up to the front line. So now I refer him as Swoop.

I think PaleMoon has been banned from seeing videos by most of this devious, money-grubbing, dishonest, evil internet.
I must not have the Correct web browser.
Every site I go to, “this media cannot be played”.
Okay. NoScript:Allow all this page. Same message after reload.
NoScript:(after more scripts-from-scripts are unveiled) Allow all this page. Same message.
Repeat four more times until there are no more scripts blocked.
Same message.
I’m wondering if someone will write a plugin for PaleMoon or Firefox or Brave that will convince sites that the browser you’re using is actually one of the Morally Good Browsers. I hope so.

Didn’t you say you use Windows X? Media is not really handled in a browser, it’s passed to other programs via the plugins. There are OS security patches that break all sorts of stuff.

I use firefox with Ghostery…. This is about 80% better…. not perfect… but much better. What fascinates me is all the stuff going on in the shadows… amazing.

Tell me if you can find this video on some platform besides Twitter. I think it’s Twitter that has banned PaleMoon. All scripts are allowed, and it gives me that same message, every time a tweet contains a video. Every other video here is playable.
I searched YouTube for it, and nothing.

Wow this browser is fast. Amazingly fast.
In the settings you can turn the “shields” off for individual sites. That’s the only way Twitter-embedded videos can play here, but I trust this site.
It’s quite a minimal interface. The settings menu is hidden in little three-vertical-dot icon at the top of the right-hand scrollbar, and if you want to mouse down to access your Windows taskbar, you have to resize your window by minimizing it (the — button next to the maximize button which is next to the X button at top right) and resizing it from the top and side border.
I’m liking it better than any other browser in the last 10 years, so far. I’ve only fiddled with the settings for 20 minutes, now.
