This isn’t the biggest deal in the world, but it was one of the first things I thought about after Trump won. If I recall correctly, Obama did this fairly early on, and this one thing made me so mad that I called the British Embassy to apologize on behalf of most of the American people. The upset over that episode was later buried under an avalanche of much worse stuff. I hope the bust gets brought back and they make a huge deal of it.

When he’s reminded that what hes saying is a crime he says, “BRING IT Secret Service.”

I’m not seeing the joke here.

What I’m seeing is a guy that needs psych evaluation and then some jail time to reflect.

Tree farm immediately south of me is thinning/selling trees for pulp and paper. The process uses big and noisy equipment, the machines that drop the trees drive up, lock two hydraulic clamps around the trunk and a huge saw under the clamps cuts right thru the trunk. Another machine picks the entire tree up and drags it to the processing truck where a huge flatbed-mounted system picks the tree up and places it in a cradle where it’s dragged through a set of rings that just pop all of the branches off and a saw mounted at the end cuts the tip off of the tree. An arm drops the cleaned tree to the ground where they pile up waiting to be stacked on 18-wheelers for transport.
All of this happens at a fast clip too as all of the workers are private contractors, they get paid by the job and the more jobs they complete the more money they make. Long story short here, I got up around 5:30 and sun was barely starting to make itself known but I could hear them talking and warming up the equipment. Just as soon as there was enough light to move safely the equipment was up and working, filling the air with that unique sound of timber processing. These guys were up and heading to work long before the sun’s up, a reason the little country stores around here are up, open and making breakfasts and bag lunches at 4 AM.
Maybe I worked for the Government for too long but I am impressed at the work ethic out here. Most of the people out here are agricultural workers, few have a job with benefits other than personal pride. They get hurt and they lose money until they can work again, 3rd most prescribed drug in the area’s oxy. These were the people who overwhelmingly voted Trump.

My first reaction to Paul Ryan’s best friend Reince Priebus being named Trumps “Keys to the Kingdom” holder was not positive. In fact my first thought was that choosing Priebus was spitting in the face of “we the people” who fought for and voted for a Trump presidency.

The more I reflected the more I understood that if Trump’s supporters were unhappy with the choice of Priebus as Chief of Staff, the choice sent shock waves through the very heart of the blue blood republican’s black hearts.

Trump cannot be an island so I understand his need to have someone like Priebus. But, Priebus could be the poster boy for the establishment my “Drain the swamp!” portion of my brain shouted at me.

So I had a battle within my own brain.

First I’m not sure that people outside of WI understand just how powerful and pivotal WI politicians are after the Prop 10 fight and the recall election of Scott Walker battle. WI was the epicenter of the fight and these folks made deep deep reaches and lasting relationships into the underbelly of the entire RNC machine.

There is a reason the Speaker of the House, the RNC Chair and before Trump one of the most viable candidates for the 2016 presidential run were all from WI.

Before the announcement was made local Talk Show radio host Mark Belling said that Trump was and I quote “absolutely in love with Priebus” which took me slightly aback so I stuck it in the back of my mind. Belling was a Never Trumper (Belling denies this ) but Belling does have his finger on the pulse of WI politics so I trust Belling’s knowledge that Trump genuinely likes (loves) Priebus.

Many things have been consistent about Trump since that magnificent, beautiful elevator ride on June 16th, 2015. Two of the things that have remained unwaveringly consistent and impressive about President Elect Trump is that he is loyal, expects loyalty from those who surround him and is an exceptionally gifted judge of people. Wicked good.

A third thing which is as impressive and as important as the first two attributes I mentioned is that people within the establishment who gave Trump an honest chance all became Trump advocates and not only supporters but without hesitation the converts spoke about Trump’s intrinsic goodness as a man, a husband, a father and an American who loves his country and wants to right the beautiful ship that is America.

In short people, even RNC establishment who chose to put the country before their own place at the trough, became advocates for Trump at the risk of being booted from the inner circle of trough beneficiaries, Trump believes that Priebus falls into this category of honorable people.

Remember it was Trump who said Anthony Weiner made Huma a security risk months before it was revealed that HRC’s emails were found on Weiner’s computer during a pedophilia investigation.  Trump has a gift, a shrewdness for seeing through the layers of the onion and knowing the center before the first cut of the knife is made.

All that said I greatly dislike the saying “Let Trump be Trump.” No one, including Trump should be given carte blanche and the saying itself reminds me of the blind Obama Goose Steppers. I trust Trump but I will never sit back and refuse to question a decision he makes that does not seem to be consistent with candidate Trump.

I believe Priebus proved himself to be loyal to Trump during the campaign to the satisfaction of Trump, his children and his closest non-establishment allies. Given Trump’s track record that is good enough for me.

I trust Trump’s instincts about Priebus.

Now let’s sit back and watch Speaker Ryan get kicked to the curb.

So the school children (Hitler youth) of Seattle just marched down the street scream chanting “We reject the president elect”. I took a couple of quick video clips, but it would be to easy to pick out where they came from.
What good exactly is the public education system? I see no benefit at all. None.

One of my pet peeves is seeing young children being used for their parents’ political purposes. I don’t care which side they’re on. I can’t stand seeing little kids — who are too young to grasp any of these issues or know what they are talking about — at rallies or protests holding signs or in some group parroting what they hear at home. Yahoo election night coverage had children of the anchors and others working there gathered around a big map of the U.S. drawn on the floor with chalk. The little kiddies were tasked with coloring in the states using red or blue chalk, as the results came in. At one point they “interviewed” the children. There were 6-year-old girls lisping that they really liked Hillary and they didn’t want Mr. Trump to win. They were somewhat confused that they were coloring huge areas on the map red. Children need to learn about the process, but there is an appropriate age to get them involved in different aspects.

When I posted the other day that we didn’t have smoke here west of you, I couldn’t have been more wrong. Goes to show I haven’t been out of the house. After I told you that, my husband said it was all around our area. It’s been worse every day since. I can see the haze out the window all day. Have you seen that website suggested by the Forest Service: Inciweb.nwcg.gov – takes you to a page from which you can explore the various fires in our area. After you posted the other day, I went looking for more info. Thanks for motivating me. The Forest Service for the Chattahoochee-Oconee Forest has a facebook page also. I think some people are getting a bit concerned. The fire closest to us is over 21,000 acres now and they are estimating it won’t be fully contained until November 30.

I have a dentist appointment in Hiawassee Wednesday, but I think I’ll be cancelling that one, since they have more ash and stuff in the air than we do, based on what my husband said after he was at the dentist last Thursday. I’m having to up my sinus/asthma meds just from the little bit that’s getting into our house. There are two high-tech air purifiers running in my bedroom. We are lucky that we are on a hill, not down at the valley level where most of our area people live. It’s thicker down there.
