Ugh! Adult children creating lots of drama tonite. The libs are trying to silence the Trumpers at Thanksgiving. Want no political talk. After watching their Messenger conversation I am like, Screw you all. No turkey dinner here this year. Just stay home and I will spend the day chasing your Dad around the house instead! Talking of President Elect Trump, who is all of our president, is not agitating. Sons went and got themselves pretty, cute little things for wives only to find out after the nuptials they are really flaming azz liberals. Ugh! Watching sons turn into —- closet conservatives to please the wife is heartbreaking.

Incredibly peculiar being at work the last couple of days. Not one word about the election, one way or another. NOT ONE WORD.

Of course, being in the less than 16% here in Marin County who voted for Trump, I will always be outnumbered. Except at home and in our church, thank goodness.

Tomorrow we’re going to my mother-in-law’s house, and her BF. We’re eating dinner, and then going to a balloon rally/glow.

This is the guy I previously grumped about, just an ignorant oldie who doesn’t understand what is going on in politics, is a bit effeminate, thinks he’s a car guy, etc.

The good news is, his brother will be there, who’s much, much worse. He’s from Hawaii. My wife asked if I was going to be OK going over there. I said, “of course. The real question is will they be OK with me going over.”

My wife asked, “Are you wearing your Trump hat.”

“Of course. I don’t leave home without it.”

“I wish you wouldn’t wear it.”

“I can stay home, if you’d like.”

“Just don’t start a fight, OK?”

We’re going to the fairgrounds. Should be lots of people there. Probably lots who won’t like my hat.

We eliminated (including me) politics at family gatherings. When we get together with my SIL’s family, there are only two conservatives – me and my SIL’s brother. He has a sister and three other brothers. We have had one or two big fights, but usually try not to.

There are some family members (mostly my west coast cousins) that I don’t agree with. Then there is my ex-husband’s sister. I had a BIG argument with her last week. Bad enough that I’ll never speak to her again willingly. Then again, she’s strange and I never really liked her. She’s good to my daughter and her family, though. She did live in Cali, but recently moved to Maine, so I doubt I’ll be seeing her any time soon.

Our families are all over the political spectrum from far left to far right but as few speak to each other, never mind sit down at the same table, family dinners are not an issue. Family holiday dinners are so much easier on the psyche when you have it with the pets, their agenda is clear simple.

New Years is much the same except we’re allowed to have fireworks so gnoshing, drinks and high explosives. Thinking about setting some Tannerite out in the lake and setting it off with tracer fire…depends on how dry it will be. Can’t do that in the big city…OK, there’s that ‘innercity’ stuff but they generally don’t use tracers.

I like your proposal. here is something i have thought about for many years.
Allow any and all Universities to do a continual audit of all federal governments. There could be up to 10 or more schools simultaneously auditing all federal Government activity. All results made public.
most if not all costs borne by the university
Excellent training for CPA’s, Auditors, forensic accounting.
Initially this would expose the waste, fraud and corruption. But after the first few years would produce a huge saving to the federal budget. It would also instil a sense of responsibility among Federal Employee’s and the Public at large. ie: people would become more accountable for their actions, if those that represent us and serve us be held accountable.

No offense, but I truly wonder how much some folks think about their ideas all the way to their logical conclusions.

You want to give Universities, those bastions of safe spaces, un-free speech, special snowflakes, SJWs, and liberal think tanks, chock full of folk who can’t earn a living anywhere else, and who actively and intentionally fleece the youth with worthless pieces of paper naming them educated in Women’s Studies for hundreds of thousands of dollars, the responsibility of auditing the federal government? On what level does that sound like a good idea?

You want to give up-and-coming youth training to be CPAs and auditors a chance to become involved in those institutions they may end up investigating later in life, a chance to get to know all the “inside” players, be shown how “government really works,” and corrupted and recruited before they even know what truth should look like? What could ever go wrong there?

At what level do you think anyone involved in the University system would deign to “investigate” those that are their primary source of funding? All those gov’t backed and issued student loans, all the grants. You don’t see a potential for conflicts of interest and quid pro quos?

Egads, man. Either you’re plant and a shill, or you may need to seriously go re-evaluate a lot of your premises and maybe take a long, hard look at your understanding of the current situation.

If you would like to make it so anyone at all can audit the gov’t, including future CPAs and auditors while in school, fine. Making it the province of Universities in general isn’t functionally much different than just voting for Hillary in the first place.

I know, I know. They are God’s children too. His special little creatures. I just wish he hadn’t made so many of them. They test my patience, my temperance, and my resolve constantly.

It is very, very difficult to love stupid people. Anyone have any advice there?

Come to think of it, I’ve never saw a protester in the country.

The worst we ever get are those darn cross country bike riders once a year who think they own the road. A few of them got bumped and knocked over this year, they only ended up with scratches and bruises, so I was told. However, they were darn lucky because where it happened was on a curvy hill and if the car had not been going at a snail’s pace because they were unfamiliar with the road it would of been worse. They said though the woman wasn’t given a ticket because she wasn’t speeding and they were riding on the wrong side of the road.

I’ve been saying for years now it’s stupid to have this road on their route, it’s narrow, lots of curves and lots of hills and they’re idiots who think they can ride 6 to 8 wide.
I miss the old days when bicycles had to get off the road when cars were coming.

My DH has never hit one of them but he threatens to every year and he’s been a little rude and honks his horn at them when they won’t get out of his way. lol

When I lived in NC is the first time I saw a bicyclist who thought he owned the road. We were on our way to mass, driving on a winding hilly road and I came around the corner and there is some dope right in the middle of the road. I slowed down and taped my horn because I didn’t want to run him over, so he pulled over to the far right and I drove past him.

As I’m driving past he screams a profanity and gives me the finger. I was so shocked I was going to pull over and wait for him to ask him if he would have preferred that I just run him over rather than make him aware that a vehicle was going to flatten him if he didn’t get out of the middle of the road.

I had our three little girls in the car and my husband pleaded with me not to stop so I didn’t but what moron.

These folks who sign up for this cross country ride every year seem to think we should all stop everything so they can have their sightseeing tour and be as thrilled as they are.
Drives me nuts, but we only have to put up with it once a year.
I always see them painting the little arrows on the road a week or two before and threaten every year to buy spray paint and change their arrows. 🙂

Someone sort of stole my idea this year. The day before they were riding through here, someone more respectful of the road used sidewalk chalk and wrote at several arrows different messages. “You don’t own the road!”
          “You must follow traffic laws!”
“Trucks are much bigger than you!”
“We really don’t care about your fun, we need to get to work!”
          “We really don’t like you!”

Cracked me up, I accused my husband of doing it, but he swore he didn’t, but that it had him laughing all the way home.

I paid $50ish for my name brand multifunction printer, right off the store shelf. I just had my cyan ink cartridge go south and even though all of the other cartridges are half or better full I can’t print until I replace the cyan cartridge.
I hardly ever use anything but black, 99% of my printing is letters. So I presume that somehow the printer sneaks color inks into the black process even though the ink dock has a double-sized black cartridge in it. Minor irritation that it is I go out to the closest big-box and look for a cyan cartridge only to discover that the only way to get one is in a combo package with all of the color cartridges. So now I’m facing paying just over $50 for a small package of ink cartridges, roughly as much as I paid for the printer. So if I were to find my current printer on sale, as I frequently do, it could be cheaper to buy a new printer with a full set of color AND black cartridges installed that to buy those same cartridges outside of the printer. I just went and bought a kit and am refilling the empty cartridges myself.

I was looking a the Kodak but the scanner on my Epson’s great. I was spoiled by years of running a big Xerox-based print plant, I could use it to print my stuff. Sigh….downside to retirement is now I have to buy my own office supplies.

We had a Brother printer that was mainly used for faxes and that thing was costing a fortune in ink, like you since we never printed anything in color I always wondered how the color ink always ran out and it wouldn’t let you print black without replacing the color cartridges.
Got a Kodak and it was even worse on ink, got an Epson it wasn’t quite as bad as the first two, but still we were spending too much on ink.. Got an HP and it’s not as bad, but just like the other three the color ink is always the first to need replaced.
At least with it we can find off brand ink cartridges at our local computer store that are about half the price.
The Brother, Epson and Kodak went through so much ink we got rid of them before they died. We’re going to live with the HP until it dies, but will probably see if we can find an all-in one of a different brand the next time.

UGH! Waaaaaay back when I had the secure commo site we had a line printer that had about 132 vertical bars of print. Each bar had the alphabet, numbers and symbols and each moved up and down at high speed printing out messages. Some spectacular jams.
Remember them thar daisy-wheel printers with the metal or plastic wheels? How ’bout them wire print heads? I just try and remember that the entire process isn’t personal, it’s just business.
I was thinking that as cheap as Walmart pens are in bulk it just might do me more better to buy a case then stop right next door and see if any of the guy in the Home Depot parking lot has really good handwriting.

LOL!!!! Yup. It’s the disposable razor cartridge business model. The manufactures watched what happened with HP InkJet printers in the 90’s and have gone to a proprietary model with “intelligent” ink cartridges that won’t work if they have been refilled.
They make them with air holes so they dry out even if you don’t use it. I have the same thing and have paid way more in ink than I did for the multi-function photo printer.
Sad thing is the new printers are so insecure that I’m locked into the ever increasing price of the cartridges of my discontinued printer.

I don’t know if I’m like the Israelites in the Sinai, but one Gillette Mach III cartridge lasts me more than a year, easy. I have to buy a five-pack about every five years. Longer now that I have a beard, and only trim the neck and face. I don’t understand it, but I don’t complain.

Insecure you say? Now you can sign up when you buy a new printer and through the magic world of wizards the company will know when your printer is low on ink and abracadabra send you new ink cartridges.

Other than that the company won’t know a thing about what you might be printing on your little portal printer 😏

      Czar rants? So do I.

I just tried to find this with my phone, using the YouTube app, and typing most of the title of the video itself.

      No luck. Scroll, scroll, nothin’.

So then I type in the search bar with my interface designed by idiots, with shift keys and number keys and number shifting keys. the actual Youtube code (U25woiYo9W8) and it’s the first result. Success! High-tech YouTube can’t put a QR Code on the top of every page? Did not one of their Genius SJW hires ever even think of this? How long have QR Codes been around? You know, those 2-dimensional barcodes?

Of course they didn’t, because “making a great product” is not their top priority. On the individual level, and on the corporate level. No: diversity is. This is why their companies will fail, and are currently in the process of doing so, full speed.

Google will be replaced soon, too. And FaceBook.

      Great Products are trending.

“Does it work?” “No, but our company is Diverse!” “Take my money!”

Bloody Marys today and Venison Burger BBQ this evening. Fun at last. TARD disorder is striking liberals…
    Signs and Symptoms:

People with Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder are characterized by a persistent unwillingness to accept that Donald Trump is going to Make America Great Again. Individual sufferers often display signs of paranoia and delusion; in acute cases psychotic episodes have been observed. Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder is different from being upset about the results of the 2016 presidential election; People with TARD are unwilling or unable to accept reality, despite irrefutable evidence.

According to the DSM-V, individuals with TARD exhibit most or all of the following symptoms:

Telling others they are moving to Canada
Fixated on fantasies about the Electoral College
Protesting an election no credible source contests the outcome of
Exclamations that “Someone” should do “Something”
    Sudden weight gain
Acute change in demeanor from pompous and arrogant to fearful and combative
Claim that anyone who disagrees with them is some combination of Racist, Sexist, Bigoted, Homophobic, and Actually Hitler

    Causes and Mechanisms:

Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder was directly caused by the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States of America. For many, both in America and worldwide, this was a shocking and unexpected outcome; their preferred news sources having failed to inform them that the alternative candidate was a criminal parasite in such ill health she got chucked into the back of a van like a kidnap victim.

Research is ongoing, but TARD appears to correlate closely with the following environmental and behavioral factors:

    Membership in the Democratic party
    Identifying as a Feminist
    Currently enrolled in college, and/or
Possession of a Liberal Arts college degree
    Cuckoldry
Living in a densely populated metropolitan area
    Massive student debt
    Spotty or non-existent work history
    Hipsterism

“However entrancing it is to wander unchecked through a garden of bright images, are we not enticing your mind from another subject of almost equal importance?”
[from Ernest Bramah, quoted by Dorothy Sayers]

All this feels good, the last few days. As it should.

But revenge will not be confined to the protesters in the streets. The Left has been grievously wounded. They will turn on each other, but even more so will plot destruction to rain down upon us. They are making their plans now. As written in Surah Al-Anfal, 8:30 [man, never thought I’d be quoting that stuff, but it fits]:

“But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.”

Everyone here should know by now who I believe allah really is. We should be prepared for what is to come. They will not overcome, but it will be neither easy nor pleasant.
