I was arguing with someone on FB who told me Trump had to revise his first 100 days plan because it doesn’t unify us. This was a Never Trumper, one that said you couldn’t be Christian and support Trump.
I informed her uniting the country does not mean keeping the same crap that has helped tear the country down.
She then said in order to unite he needs the establishment and he needs the Christians who would not vote for him.
I told her it was time now for the Never Trumpers to face reality, he and we did not need them to win this election, so we certainly don’t need to bow down to them now. They can either jump on board and support rebuilding this country or they could sit and whine that he doesn’t want to unite with them.

She told me it sounds like I want payback. I told her no what I want is what Trump said he would do, which was the reason I threw my full support behind him. If she and they believe enforcing the law and securing our border is payback then that is their problem not mine.

And he needs the establishment and he needs the Christians who would not vote for him just to get elected. NEXT!

        Reality escapes them.

He or we do not need them, it’s their choice to join us. Just like we do not need Paul Ryan who couldn’t win his own state when he was VP but is now trying to be relevant because Trump won it.

      BRAVO michellc!! Well handled.

I, as well, have been dealing with a few similar situations., including being told by some of the BGI types that Trump needs to apologize to them, and meet their needs. I too essentially called B.S. and said, there will no more identity-politics, other than the American, of which all legal citizens are, and there will be Rule of Law, and enforcement of Rule of Law.

I was hoping for him to pin down eligibility requirements for future presidential contenders. The fact that Cruz actually ran really pissed me off… Rubio too. I know there are opinions all over on this topic, I just would like to see it resolved, before the next election.

  4. Rubio was supposed to be Jeb’s sidekick, no more, but then Jeb was pushed out of the game and all of a sudden Marquito became a stand-alone. It’s good he won his seat back, though.

I agree. I don’t know why, but I can’t hate Rubio, and maybe he’ll turn out okay. Jeb is another story.

      • Rubio is Jeb’s creation, through and through.

Well then, Rubio is now his own man, or he too immature to be there. And he too, will either shape-up, or ship-out, when he wants to run again.

I have been so upset with Marco. From outward appearances, he looks like he should be great. He’s got all-American type good looks, he can be charming, with a sharp wit. He’s even a football nut. (which a lot of men like)

But…I guess it really matters what is on the inside, and he’s shown some character flaws that I’m not sure won’t keep from a lot of problems down the road.

          • He is a typical Cuban politician but brighter than many. In the immortal words of our own Dave Barry, “We live as close to the United States as possible, without actually being there.” It’s cul’tural (with a soft L)! Marquito is a combination of that culture and Jeb’s tutelage, and he represents our great state to the T. Whom would your rather have, Murphy (G-d forbid!)?

Shame on me. I decided to turn on the radio to our local talk show host who was a “Never Trumper” who denied that he ever was never Trump about two month after Trump got the nomination. I listened to him less than 10 times during the campaign because he was such a complete hypocrite.

Today I gave him a chance as I was interested in some local stuff. Perhaps sanity had returned. Nope. This POS has the audacity to say that Trump is going back to his liberal roots and is going to need to be held in check by the great stalwarts of conservatism like Paul Ryan. And if the Trumpers think they are the party of “Trump” they could not be more wrong, the GOP was still running the show and setting the agenda.

Curse jar is full for the day. Never again even for 1 second will I listen to the vile shill Jay Webber.
