Speaking of little punkins wretching (nice tie-together) I drove the GGS home and got to feed both new baby girls…who both summarily waited until the post-feeding drop cloth was removed and promptly both tossed all over my shirt. Worse is yet to come….

Mom has one of those Peds who isn’t into feeding real food early. When my kids were babies we had an old-timey Ped who had us mixing in powdered rice cereal and whole milk early to get their systems food ready earliest. Very little baby food either, when they started eating from a spoon vice a bottle we were blending down what we were eating.

All of my babies were eating cereal by the time they were 6 weeks old. By the time they were 3 months old they were eating mashed potatoes and gravy. 🙂 Amazingly with the exception of my youngest son who was born with a milk protein allergy, none of them have food allergies. I say amazingly because now they tell you food too early will always cause food allergies. SMH

I honestly never paid any attention to them.
My daughter hasn’t paid much either, although the ped she uses is an older guy who doesn’t follow the leader. Still he uses the milestone guidelines provided by the government. That’s kind of why my daughter ignores all of it, because as she says either her son is very advanced or babies today are very slow.

In the very early 70s when we lived in Utah there were two very old, and still very active, old ladies who lived across the street from our in-laws. They were dealing with babies in thevtown back before WW I when the closest doc was about 20 miles away. A lot of people used their advice and when we checked with our family doc (who was also a SF doc) he agreed with it. Nowadays the pharma and tort lawyer influences rule, common sense and tried-and-true take a back seat.

Babies are all different and grow at different rates. I nursed my son and didn’t intend to give him solid food until he was over six or eight months. He saw us eat and “demanded” some of it. So I tried a small spoon of oatmeal and he screamed for more. He ate almost a half cup (they had said to start with a spoonful, max. LOL) Then he walked at 7 1/2 months and had a speaking vocabulary of short sentences by the time he was one.

His daughter is very bright and healthy. She didn’t start walking until she was one and is just starting to talk. I am not concerned about it because I know babies are different. And, she is the spitting image of her mother and is following her growth pattern.

Well from the milestones I’ve read that have been been given to my daughter she’s very advanced as well. 🙂

I don’t know if kids on average are just behind these days or they want everyone to believe their kids are advanced. It is the safe place generation having babies. lol

All I cared about is that she was healthy and didn’t grow a penis since the last one, I’d hate to have to put a him in all the dresses I’ve bought. lol

The twins were just over six pounds each when born, mama isn’t a big girl, but they’ve packed on the pounds since. I just enjoy the heck out of watching them develop from helpless blobs into walking heartburn, still amazes me to watch as they grow into each new stage of maturity. Neat watching which of your characteristics they absorb too, sort of a promise of some touch of immortality.

That sounds like a very healthy size for twins. I’d hate to carry around 12 lbs.
I always had small babies, with only one of them weighing over 7 lbs. Although my last one was over a month early, he probably would have been huge if full term since he weighed 6 lb 12 oz.
It’s funny how you never forget how much your children weighed at birth. Sometimes I have to think a minute on their birthdays but can always tell you without thinking how much they weighed.

My son absolutely refused to wear his as he could not accept his status ad a ‘grandpa’ at just fourty. I told him that he made me a grandpa at 40 and I got the expected “but this is DIFFERENT” response.

The girls have done that to me since the first day they came home, sort of a ‘hello’, or at least that’s how I prefer to interpret it. Yesterday (now it’s officially Monday for all of us) ‘O’ hadn’t eaten yet but managed to smile and offer up a wee bit of creme unfresh on my sieeve. Appears she knew I was coming and saved some.
Within a bottle each they’d both managed to gracefully launch a wad onto my shirt, smiling the entire time. I’ve learned long ago to carry extra clothes, ain’t my first cheese-smelling rodeo.

Once when my girls were about 2 and 4 I was taking them and one of their little buddies to a little craft/nature group that they belonged to about 40 minutes from my home. My 4 year threw up in the car followed by a sympathy puke from the 2 year old.

Their poor friend managed not to join in the fun. I had all the windows down but it still almost made me toss my cookies.

Hearing, seeing or smelling someone throw up has always made my daughter throw up. Both of my boys had a stomach virus and I was on the way to the doctor and both started puking in the car, which in turn caused my daughter to throw up.
It was in the middle of summer, the only car wash on the way was out of order, so the best I could do was wipe up as much as possible with paper towels. That was followed with sitting at the doctor’s office for over an hour while it baked in the hot sun.
I tossed my cookies more than once before I got it all cleaned up and you could still smell it for weeks after shampooing the carpet 3 times and putting everything under the sun on it to try and get rid of the smell.

The worst I ever had was my daughter was about 5 months old and had diaper rash(that kid and diaper rash was a constant battle) so I had her sitting on a diaper and blanket, left the room to go put clothes up, came back and she had pooped. Not only had she pooped but she had poop rubbed all over her and was eating it, two handfuls of it. I pick her up and am gagging all the way to the bathtub trying to not add puke to the poop all over her. I’m trying to wash it off and she’s bubbling poop out her mouth, I take a break to puke in the toilet. Then I start trying to wipe and wash the poop out of her mouth and she sticks her hand in my face and wipes it all over my mouth and I puke again. I finally get the poop washed off, get a diaper on her and then clean up her poop mess in the floor and then wash all the poop out of the bathtub.
                She’s giggling the entire time.

Needless to say, I never left the room again when she did not have a diaper on. lol

My grandson one day stuck his hand in his poop(he barely had any on his hand) while my daughter was changing him and before she could grab his hand to clean it off it went into his mouth. She gagged and I told her until she has to go through what she put me through she doesn’t get to gag. 🙂

Actually though a story a neighbor told me one time has to be the worst poop story.
As a child she grew up with outhouses, dig a hole and after awhile move the outhouse to another hole and cover up the first hole.
She was supposed to be watching her toddler brother while her Dad was doing this chore and her mom was busy doing other chores.
Dad I guess got sidetracked and didn’t quite finish the job and had not covered up the hole yet.
Toddler brother got into the hole and had the whole family’s mess all over him.
She said she couldn’t get him out and yelled for her mother and her mother made her clean him up and she got a switching as well for not watching him.
I think I would have asked for two switchings. lol

They’ve even given up burnishing the ‘phony’, it’s now polished and chrome plated. Granted these things are made for urban/suburbanites whose only exposure to ‘wild’ is a city park between grass cuttings but come on, you gonna tell me that they won’t notice that some tree the intrepid sojourner was supposed to be felling with an ax has a neat, smooth chainsaw notch on the falling side? Or that a professional tracked snow-cat driver goes into the boonies without a tanker bar to stretch a broken track and replace a pin? And these were just two of a string of egregious fabrications so far. Then again, people are still voting for Hellary.

Back to that whole “hating people” discussion from a few days ago.

This weekend we spent some time at my brother-in-law’s house. His mom has just returned home (with her significant other – ugh). I showed them the Michael Moore video on Trump and his election being a giant F-U, because I’m that kind of thoughtful dinner guest. Neither had seen it before.

My brother-in-law is a former Marine, served 15 years, currently a police officer. My mother-in-law’s BF is just a 70-something dweeb/nerd that fancies himself a car guy/gear head (double ugh). He still gets and reads newspapers daily (triple ugh) and watches the nightly news (seriously, whiskey tango foxtrot?).

The ex-Marine has kids, works nights, and generally has zero free time to himself, and is also completely technically incompetent. He gets his news only from Fox. He’s well educated, conservative, but only gets the MSM-style drippings from Fox, primarily BOR.

Anyway, the old one makes a comment that this is the worst election in the history of the world, and out of 200+ million people (shows where he’s coming from) this is the best we can do? We have the two very worst candidates for political office ever assembled. And furthermore, Trump is so damn negative and never talks about any issues, its just a constant bashing of HIllary. The exMarine agreed, but thinks that Trump will be a good thing if he can clear-cut D.C.

I held in my screams. I smiled, and didn’t say much. I thought back to my comments, about how I hate people, but love individuals. I was wrong. I hate people. I hate individuals. Mostly I hate stupid people made up of stupid individuals. I know it is hard to educate yourself these days. If you aren’t online and constantly, actively searching for the truth, you aren’t going to find it. But still…

The Lord must truly love the average man, for he made so many of them. A five minute conversation with the average voter is the best argument against any form of democracy. BTW, the old guy thought that the electoral college should have been done away with a long time ago, and that elections should be decided just by straight majority vote, ’cause that’ll make politicians spend time everywhere instead of just in California and Texas.

Ouch, the stupid, it burns! It burns! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I haven’t read this addressed anywhere and I know the MSM hasn’t touched it but there is an elephant in the Weiner/Abedin laptop emails.

Weiner was perpetually and carelessly sexting. I believe there is a 100% chance that Weiner watches a lot of porn. Porn is the # 1 gateway for viruses to enter computers.

The Abedin/Weiner shared laptop was as secure as public wi-fi at a strip club.

I looked at the counter on the innards of “my” dish machine at work today.

It read 268,000+. When I started here, the boss saw how fast and efficient I worked, and bought it brand new, because it’s double-wide, and can handle two racks (or three sheet-pans). I’m probably responsible for 200,000 of that count, which is nearly half a million racks.

What amazes me is that it’s the only machine or device in my life that consistently works, and never breaks, and, with simple, routine maintenance, looks and runs like it’s new.

Why can’t there be other devices and machines in my life that are built well?

I can only conclude that the company who makes my dishwasher is both non-union, and non-SJW-converged. Because their product just WORKS.

      It would be neat if:

      1. Everyone understood that businesses’ primary goal is not to Give Jobs to people.
      2. Every employee understood that their obligation as an employee was to:
      —a. Increase Bossman’s Profit, and
      —b. Lessen Bossman’s Losses.
      3. Every employee understood that moving very quickly and efficiently is the best way to make lots of Profit, and to decrease Losses.

      That would be neat.

I am blessed to be here.

I opened the kitchen in a half hour yesterday, despite living next to the joint for 9 1/2 years, and having the keys to let the opening cooks in at 6:00 AM.

Why? Because the opener was 45 minutes late.

The two openers we have take 1:30h to open, because they don’t understand that which I outlined above. I did it in :30, because someone had to.

Later, the bosses said “You know how to open?” I said, “Duh. Prep, too, and faster.”

Now I open three days a week. 🙂

          Who knows?

I go over this a lot in my mind:

          1. I was quite unstable before God used this company and it’s peeps to heal me.
          2. I actively love everyone, because that’s what I’m Commanded to do.
          3. Am I working harder and harder for the money? Or to fulfill (2)?

So do I even dare ask for a raise? Or is my bonus the work itself?

I hope I do, but that’s at the bossman’s discretion. I’m grateful, regardless.

THE VERY BEST THING my father told me was this:

Working in a factory in my young 20s, I worked hard, fast, and efficient, and with the company’s profits in mind. A young dude working next to me, who had been at the factory longer, said, “You think the boss is going to notice?” I said to him “I’m not working for the boss Here.”

My dad was a new Christian then. A couple of months later he was that skeptic’s boss.

Well, I am sure your boss realizes what a good job you do and how dedicated you are. I am sure you deserve a raise and I think you should ask for one. You don’t have to demand and threaten to leave. LOL Just point out that you are worth it.

I got a 50-year oldish M-1 carbine that works like that. Heaven knows how many rounds have gone thru it but with a new spring every dew decades and a goid cleaning a bit more often it just keeps plugging along.

I remember carrying one of those in boot camp. I believe IBM made the trigger and a few other parts.

Yeah, there were a dozen companies that made them, some carbine collectors get as misty-eyed over different carbines by different makers as jocks do over dates with cheerleaders. Mine has parts from a number of different companies and a receiver from a batch by a company thstvwas making them for ‘overseas distribution’.

That’s exactly how I see that dish machine. If it’s your main tool, you keep it in good working order. If you’re 9 years familiar with it, it’s easy.

OK, for youse lucky folks at selected places in Michigan, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Minnesota, Arby’s will be offering a short-term special, real venison sandwiches. It’s grass fed venison, farm raised, but still a change from that industrial strength beef they usually push.

We’re sitting here watching a rather bad TV program with an Alamo theme. Dawned on me…what would have happened had Hillary been US president in 1836. Would she have apologized to Santa Anna, blaming the entire thing on a stage play produced by Texans that insulted and angered the Mexicans? Would she have blamed the easy access to guns by Texians? Would Hillery blame the roots of the violence on the European white domination in Mexico proper? Would Hillary scrolls leaked to the press show she’d taken huge donations from Santa Anna trading to his pardon? Or would Santa Anna, after his private meeting with Hillary, have committed suicide in an obscure DC park. I jes luves hiztry.

Well we are seeing one of two things the walls coming tumbling down around the Clinton Cabal or Comey is coming out in 5 days and saying “My bad. They were all just duplicate emails. Hillary is till just a dumb ass not a criminal.”

      • lovely says:

        That was my second choice!

I’m hoping it is the walls come crumbling down, a huge tick in that column is that Clinton at a rally yesterday said something like “What ? They found emails on one my staff members computers? Pffttt.”

Huma, “one of” Hillary’s “staff members?” That is like saying Konrad Speer was one of Hitler’s “staff members”. Clinton dismissing Huma as such gives me hope. Hillary’s far reaching demonic tentacles gives me pause.
