Throughout my life, I’ve had Siamese companions two of which lived well into their 19th year. Sweetest kitties ever.

Good to see you MTeresa. My cousin had 2 Siamese kitties, they loved us kids which I always hear now that they are one of the more aloof cats. I don’t know if that is true or not but hers were snuggle bunnies 🙂

My one and only Siamese was very dog-like. He was also the only cat I ever had who liked sweets.

My cousin’s family also had a dog and whatever the dog did the cats did, they even went out in the yard and came back in. They left food out for them all day and they never fought over it. I don’t remember what kind of treats they liked.

My siamese once took a wrapped pound cake off the kitchen counter, dragged it under my daughter’s bed, and ate about a third of it. He also would take apart Oreos and eat the frosting.

I knew of one other cat like that – one my mother adopted. It once ate a package of those chocolate-covered marshmallow cookie things.

And on a downer note…
Our outside cat has been having problems urinating, not unusual for a neutered male. Took him to a vet who thought it was an infection so she put him on a series of antibiotic injections. Didn’t work. She took x-rays…nada. Took him to another vet who did an ultrasound and saw what he thought was a stone in the bladder so he operated. What he found was the cat’s bladder was heavily thickened and the muscles not working, the retained urine was the consistency of oil and it was almost impossible to get a catheter into him. He took biopsies and urine samples and sent them off but it’s not looking good. Inside/outside cat keeps on going outside looking and calling for him.
Upside news is new cat and Mr Snot cat are finally meatloafing within a few feet of each other without a hair-flying fight. Inside/outside cat has taught new cat to drink out of the sink faucet.

No, not good at all. Then again, he lasted longer with us than he would have had he remained out in the fields where his previous owners dumped him.

My vet pointed that out to me with my last cat – ‘You gave him 13 good years that he wouldn’t have had.’

Poor fella, I hope he pulls through. I lost my “foundling” a few months ago and still miss him a lot. They seem to appreciate being rescued…

My grandson loves cats, we stopped at a garage sale on the way home and a cat was asleep on the table and he found it. Only problem is he hasn’t grasped that you can’t take kitties home that belong to someone else. He cried for 5 minutes and answered every time we tried to tell him it was the lady’s kitty, “my meow meow!” lol

My husband and I went to Anna Ruby Falls, here in N. Georgia… it is in the Chattahoochee National Forest. This made me think of something for Caturday… made it myself. 🙂
