I wonder if Trump will really bring her there. I hope Monica shows up as well as many other of Bill Clinton’s conquest as possible. Mostly I hope the families of the men Hillary sacrificed for political expediency in Benghazi show up and families of the people killed by illegal aliens.
I also hope Hillary freezes and falls off the podium unless that would cause her to step down as the nominee I want her in until the election. Then she can fall over at her concession speech and join Lucifer any time she is ready.

Good morning to all!
I’ve been dealing with a heartbreaking problem this week. My baby Stella, age 13-1/2, has severe kidney failure, and has spent most of the past week in the vet hospital with continuous iv fluid. She came home Friday night, went back for a full day of more iv fluid yesterday, is home again, and back to the vet for more blood tests early tomorrow morning. She isn’t eating very well, is taking meds for nausea and stomach upset, and has lost about 1/3 of her body weight. She’s weak, and I am agonizing over her weight loss, especially since they have now put her on “prescription” food, which she doesn’t like.
Please give us a thought today, and a prayer if you are inclined to do so. Continued guidance needed.

I am so sorry about your sweetheart. She is beautiful. When our Stella had pancreatitis the vet gave us a diet for her that was boiled hamburger and rice. She seemed to like it very much. You are both in my thoughts today. BTW my own Stella is 13 and 3 months..

I plan to ask the vet if it is okay to use a home cooked diet. There are recipes on the internet for dogs with kidney failure.

I’m sure it is – right now it’s important for her to eat, period. No animal that has ever owned me would eat the vet crap. I fed my last ancient one whatever she’d eat – hang the vet food.

I added canned chicken breast to the crap food (had to mash it in) and guess what? She ate it all. I’m cooking rice right now, and will mix it with a small amount of chicken, and some bacon fat. Let’s hope she eats it.

Maybe you could get some vegetable based faux chicken/beef broth from a health food store and boil the rice in it?

What I did for a cat we had with kilney problems was to slow-cook chicken in a closed roaster, giving me that rich ‘jelly’ in the bottom of the pan. We’d pour off the liquid, let it cool to room temp (fat slowly separates) the refrigerate until fat solidifies and liquid gels. We’d separate the fat and use the liquid to flavor the cat’s less appetizing scrip food. We’d also have fat to add tonthe diet in a more controllable amount. We’d also do that with pork and beef to vary the flavor. They have a more keen sense of smell and that concentrated meat broth makes the crap in a can (or the dry crap in a box) a bit more appetizing.

I just fed her some canned chicken with rice (4 times as much rice as chicken) flavored with about 1/2 TB of bacon fat. She ate it right up. This diet is consistent with what she requires. All I need to do now is add some vegs and calcium carbonate (which binds the phosphorus in the diet) and perhaps some fish oil.

The vet always suggested boiled chicken or beef with rice, preference being chicken and rice. The rice helps to get fluids into the body. Best wishes.

I’d suggest being careful with the bacon fat as the sodium in it may cause some water issues with her impaired kidneys.

I take a drumstick and microwave it for mine every night. Put some dry food and two baby carrots. She will eat the dog food if I put a patty of butter and micro til it melts then mix.

Put more liver color on her back and she’s my Daisy, same hair and face patterns, she’s somewhere around ten. About all you can do is comfort her as much as you can, dogs know when they’re sick and seek out their people for comfort, I remember some old studies that showed the attention they receive helps alleviate their discomfort.
Those of us with animal companions know where you’re at, our thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Theme association: I used the Chalmette ferry that crossed the Mississippi below New Orleans at least twice a day for over twenty years. We had one captain who entertained us when we got him (site used two ferries that crossed). Lotta great stories but he was reined in when on one trip he shot out into the river between two huge ocean-going ships and idled as they passed on either side rather closely. We always thought it was great fun, we were close enough to yell at any crew on the rails. On this trip there happened to be a State DoT wiggie who wasn’t amused….bureaucratic stick in the mud. Sigh, no more playing tag with ships, no more hitting wakes at an angle and drowning tourists or newbies standing by the bow rails…took the fin outta the ride.

Looks like it hit on the port side of the bow and rolled down the rocks. He may have been inbound at high speed and caught a rock when he got too close in the dark. He must not know about the range lights that keep you in the center right of the channel.

I lost 2 friends in a boating accident. Young, dumb, drunk, drowned in about 2 feet of water. They were in their late teens and I often have thought as I have grown older about the life that they missed out on, the children they would never have, so sad.

Island County Sheriff’s saying that when they arrested the mall shooter he was in a zombie-like trance. Police note that he was/is having family problems, had three domestic-assault charges and a reglar assualt charge on his record, was precluded from possessing a firearm and, according to his step-father, was going through a rough time.
Well, there we are. It’s domestic-violence, not Islamic-violence related, is a mental health issue and shows that the system which is supposed to keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill or otherwise prohibited groups doesn’t work. My poor doggie. I moved the vacuum over next to my chair so I could fix it. My doggie is scared to death of it but wants to sit between me and the vacuum, I guess to protect me from it. LOL

If only…two out of four attack the vacuum, one barks from a seated position (union dog) and the fourth coordinates the others and sends out for snax and drinx if heeded.

Some years agp I let the TV talk me into buying a vacum attachment that was supposed to make grooming the dog easier. It’s out in the garage with Z’s teeth marks still in it.

His endorsement, such as it was, and it may have been, was genius rhetoric.
“I’m endorsing Hillary, because I’m afraid of her supporters destroying my property, or even killing my career, or even harming my family, since that’s what those people tend to do. So vote Hillary!”
Those fainting-couch having members of the Left who cry about how Afraid they are of Trump supporters or Tea Partiers or Conservatives ARE NOT afraid. If they were, they’d support Trump, out of you know, FEAR. They know they have nothing to fear.

Interesting fact.
“Soviet” is a NOUN that means the same as the rare NOUN “Local” in American parlance.
As in, “International Brotherhood of Electrical Layabouts LOCAL 1003”
A Local is a Soviet. And vice-versa.

But, if I remember correctly, those local soviets elected higher soviets all the way up to the Supreme Soviet. I usually thought of ‘soviet’ more of as ‘council’. Actually less council than moving targets but that was a professional/personal definition.

Silly Scott. Hillary would carve Bill’s heart out with a butter knife and play the grieving widow before she would waste her time caring for him through his end days.
